  1. Mine or the kraata in the last picture? Could you compare your panrahk kraata to a gold tahnok krana or flat gold piece so I can see the difference? No need for a picture if that is a burden, just let me know if the kraata color is close or far off

  2. So I have to ask, I only have one panrahk kraata, and it may or may not be a little special, it is one of only four kraata I own from my original collection (I have since attained more including the TOK) but I need someones help

I want to know what color is the head of the kraata supposed to be? Because I know there is a misprint with a greenish gold color that mine looks very similar to, same level as well, I compaired the color to a gold krana-kal, and a green kraana kal and I think it looks closer to the green, I just need to compair it to another panrahk kraata or someone else to compair their's to a gold krana-kal

    Pictures soon

  3. I am (to my dismay) a bit of a purist when it comes to paint, especially since it coats axles making them hard to place, I am more open to dying parts, however soft plastic seems harder to dye consistantly even in the same batch, and I feel the old dark grey color would be hard to replicate

    Appreciate the effort though

  4. I have a mismold copper Huna of victory, but instead of being unique or special it's just ugly unfortunately

    oh well

    :kakama:

I think you were the owner of the Huna I was refering to, its still cool though, at least to me, feel like we own something one of a kind!
  5.    Bionicle G1 ran for a collective 10 years, and in that time we saw Lego rise from it's ashes to the toy power it once was.

Even in that time, lego never sold themselves short on quality.

I remember growing up as a kid, and though I never received a set with the wrong amount of parts, my best friend did get a little short handed on Pohatu mata way back in 2001, I thought nothing of it, if not a little upset for him, but as a kid I didn't understand how much of an undertaking it was for lego to make sure that every set had every piece.

So when I was browsing around online several months ago, looking for a good deal on a trans yellow Kaukau, I never expected to come across my greatest bionicle possession, My mismolded Kaukau nuva, but I cannot help to wonder, what is the demand for such a find, or any mismold really, I was never one interested is mismolds (loving symmetry as I do  :P), so I was stunned to see that the flaw was down the middle, and such a major "flaw"

The mask has grown on me so much, and though I do not collect Nuva era masks, I still know it's importance, and just wonder what else is out there that surely missed our eyes, I know of a mismolded Miru, Pakari and Huna, all of which are not so "down the middle" and relativily out of sight if you don't know what to look for (maybe with the exception of the Miru)

So what stories do you have? What obscure items shouldn't exist but do? and what do you look to own in the world of mismolds?

  6. I will take a trans purple Kaukau if you still have any :) love your work too

I tried dying masks black briefly, and started with a light blue Rau, tan Komau, and white Akaku, only the Rau took with some acetone, which did damage the mask slightly, but gave it a color very close to sand blue

    on Matoro tohunga   http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=6431083

I love it and store it with my masks anyway!, you can see the details aren't as crisp, but at least I know black rits dye and light blue parts and testing will net something close to sand blue :)

  7. Thank you, yeah, I like him top, wasn't too sure on the name and though I like tge sand blue/medium blue mix, it's not the most camera friendly, he is a little special in that he uses a 2003 matoran hip piece to connect his legs to the torso, which actually takes posibility, but I like it for that, and I'm getting used to the weapon

  8. I have invisioned Kal-Va but the prospect kind of bored me :/ it's a neat concept but the silver makes them less believeable, still totally do able though, silver 3 liftarm, silver hand connectors (without the axle attached) in color arm, neck, and probably hip attachment piece, silver bohrok shields, they build themselves really

  9. I would personally rid the orange disk on the chest, just my touch, and the obligingly red and blue pins might be better in other colors, though I know that can be limiting, I think he looks really cool though, I have to agree with the above comments, maybe do white shells with gold accent pieces/add ons, and last thing, I would subtract the silver/gun metal, but that's just me, all in all he looks very solid and I look forward to seeing it reach it's full potential!

  10. It's a neat recolour, we need a few more photo's though.

More on the way, it was late and the lighting was awful, heading to a park now and I might be able to sneak in a few before sunset, with my phone though :/

Anyway here is another small gem, Wahrok Va?

he isn't very special and I didn't really like the sand blue but it did offer the unique weapon so, compromise

  11. Same here, can't wait to get Kongu's feet, surprised I don'the have them already, the colors for it were a difficult choice since turquoise didn't come to mind right away but now I love the idea, I think it will still be a water element though, haven't decided yet, and if I can find a way to give it Tahu's medium blue fire sword without it looking gaudy...

Of course my profile picture is the Nuhvok Va I drew way back when the drawings were popular, I may make one for Fehrok VA too!
