  1. Cannot wait to start writing for this. I think I am going to tackle either his battle against the Rahi Nui or the Visorak horde. Got some ideas that I think will work well.
  2. Post your reviews of the story here! Please note, this story is NOT supposed to be a parody, mash up, crossover, retelling, etc. I am just writting an Avengers styled story, with similar elements and plot, but it is supposed to still be a completely seperate story. Let me know if there is anything you like, didn't like, think I should consider, etc. Thanks and happy reading!
  3. Bionicle’s The Alliance A Fan Fiction by Toa Ignacis Inspired by Marvel’s The Avengers(Not a Parody/Mash Up/Cut and Paste, etc) Chapter One Rebirth of Darkness Lesovikk sat panting on the outskirts of the Matoran civilization on Spherus Magna. He had just killed Karzahni, and barely managed to escape from the Toa Nuva. He could still recall every detail of what had happened. The crazed ruler Karzahni had come out of nowhere and attacked him. He had quickly withdrawn his sword, but the massive being had already been on top of him. He had stabbed him through the chest and then let the body fall the ground. He had retrieved his sword, but he was so shocked by what he had done, he cast it aside. Fearing what the other Toa would do if they found out, he took off running in a random direction until he was sure he was far enough away. Now, he sat wondering what was going to happen to him. He had violated the Toa Code, a crime whose punishment was not exactly set in stone. From his vantage point, he could still see Tahu peering over the body. He did not take long to examine it, and several of the Dark Hunters took the body out of the settlement, most likely to bury it.As the sun set below the horizon, Lesovikk collapsed against the canyon wall behind him. They would never believe him. Given his past with Karzahni, no one would ever fully believe he acted in self-defense, and that it was an accident. Even if they cleared him, that cloud of suspicion would always hang over him. He could run, but he was still a Toa. He still had a duty to protect the Matoran and the rest of Mata Nui population. But how could he? He couldn’t be everywhere at once, nor could he obtain enough information to be effective. In the case of large-scale conflict, he risked his fellow Toa turning on him and arresting him. And who knows what the Order would do if they got a hold of him? He was torn, between his own self-preservation and his destiny as a Toa.“You know, not all heroes fight during the day, Toa of Air.”Lesovikk turned around and let loose a cannon of air. There was a blur of movement that went left, but his eyes were not completely adjusted to the darkness around him. He readied another blast, but someone grabbed his wrist.“Stop. We mean you no harm, Lesovikk.”He turned to see two tall, black figures next to him. One was a Vortixx, and judging by her voice and weapons, it was the one known as Roodaka. The being next to her was much taller, with multiple limbs, a long face and several blades stored on his body. He recognized him as the Dark Hunter known as Darkness. It was his job to oversee the Shadowed One’s rule of the organization, and to protect him at all costs.“Roodaka. Let me guess, you two are here to get my autograph. Sorry, but I left my chisel and hammer at home.”“We are not here to make jokes Lesovikk. We are here to offer you membership into our organization. In fact, we are asking you to lead it.”“Since when did you join the Dark Hunters, Roodaka?”“Not the Hunters, Lesovikk. The G.U.A.R.D.”“What guard? What are you talking about?”“Not any guard. The G.U.A.R.D. We are secret union consisting of all the different races, species and organizations of Spherus Magna. And we want you to lead us.”“What’s the catch?”“The catch is you will be in charge of recruiting new members. We believe you have the leadership skills to do this,” said Darkness.“Who are we trying to recruit?” asked Lesovikk, smiling. The G.U.A.R.D was the perfect opportunity to still serve his role as a Toa and keep to shadows.“Hold on there, boss. We need to at least get you a weapon,” said Darkness.“And some new armor,” said Roodaka with a playful smile.“Let me guess. I can have any color I want, as long as it’s black?” said Lesovikk.“Something like that.” * * * It had been several months since Lesovikk had took over G.U.A.R.D. He learned that it was an acronym for “The Guardian’s Unified Alliance: Response Division.” So far, he had recruited close to fifty members for the G.U.A.R.D. Most were used as spies and intelligence gatherers inside of the various organizations. They had completely rebuilt him from the ground up, combining technology and knowledge from the Order, the Brotherhood, Artakha and even the Agori. The new armor increased his physical strength somewhat, as well as his overall size. As he guessed, the armor was mostly black, but still retained his overall green appearance. He was given a simple Zamor Sphere launcher, armed with silver spheres and empty ones filled with Madu fruit. The weapon was easy enough to use, but also very versatile. He could even channel his air powers through them.Today, he was meeting with his top operatives and commanders to discuss the newest mission they were about to embark on. As he walked into the main control room, Roodaka and Darkness rose to attention. He nodded at them and they returned to their seats. “Black looks good on you, Lesovikk. Not as good as me, but close,” came a voice to his left. Lesovikk turned to see a tall, green being wielding a pair of blades that could double as a shield. Though his armor had also been modified slightly, Lesovikk recognized Gresh, a Glatorian from the Jungle Tribe, without hesitation. He was the newest promoted member, earning the rank of sergeant, and lead a group of fellow Glatorian and Toa often on raids and stealth missions. “Gresh, good to see another air brother up here in the ranks. Congrats on your promotion,” he said, and bumped fists with him.“Well, you were the one who called it,” said Gresh.“No, you earned it.”“Commander, its time to go over our next mission.,” said Roodaka.“Of course,” he said and he took a seat at the front of the table. Gresh sat towards the back, and Darkness and Roodaka took their spots at either side of him. A Ga-Toa entered from the left doorway, carrying several tablets. She stood at attention and saluted Lesovikk.“Toa Mahri Hahli, Commander. I have the tablets you requested.”“At ease, Hahli. Let’s see what we have here then.” Lesovikk peered over one of the tablets, and placed it into a slot on the table. It created several small viewing screens around the room, one set in front of each person seated. Lesovikk picked up a control device and began to speak, using the device to cycle through the various videos and screens that were playing. “As you know, Karzahni has somehow made a return and is threatening war against our peoples. I have asked our top operatives to collect a list of our people’s greatest warriors and heroes. Now, these individuals will only be called upon should we need them, but we will get to that later. First, here is what we know.“Somehow, Karzahni has returned and allied himself with the Skakdi Fusion and is using his power to create an army, despite our recent research projects we were conducting with the Fusion. Now, what Karzahni plans to do with this army or how to stop him is still unknown. So to start, we are going to try and recruit Miserix.” Lesovikk clicked the device and a profile of Miserix began to play in front of everyone, listing his species, criminal record and other important information. “We believe his knowledge of creating life might help us to unravel the secrets behind the Fusion and how to stop him, or even destroy him if necessary. Roodaka, your job will be to track him down and bring him in. He is currently AWOL, but we know he is not with the Matoran or Agori people.”“Understood, Commander,” said Roodaka.“Gresh, we want you to run an infiltration operation against the Skakdi. We believe the Fusion has returned to its people for protect and isolation. See if you can discover any more information from them, but do it quietly. Finally, Darkness and I will round up the beings our researches have complied and bring them in to help with our operations.”“Who are these beings, Commander?” asked Darkness. “I would like to know what we are getting into before we jump into the field.”“Hahli, bring up the list,” said Lesovikk. The Toa of Water took one of the tablets and pressed it face down into the counsel to the left of the table. A projector threw up a list of names, pictures and descriptions onto the far wall. The assembled beings turned to view the list.“Oh you’ve got to be kidding me…” said Lesovikk.
  4. Post your reviews of my story "The Shadows Inside" here! Positive, Negative and random lines from the story are welcomed!
  5. Bionicle: The Shadows Inside By Ignacis I feel fine and I can smileBut I feel the anger coming. It's underneath I don't know whyIt's always overflowing. It's a constant fight deep insideAnd I want to forget it.I confess I’m always afraid,Always ashamed of what's inside me.I confess I’m always afraid,Always ashamed of what's inside my head.REDInnocents and InstinctCopyright 2009 The Toa Nuva, accompanied by their leader Toa Mata Tahu, struggled against their chain bonds as the Shadowed One examined each of them with the utmost care. Their Kanohi had been stripped from them, as well as their weapons. Even their Toa Symbols had been taken from their makeshift villages in the newly formed Matoran settlement on Spherus Magna. It had started off as any other day, but without warning, the Dark Hunters had appeared, taken the Toa Nuva and Tahu captive and brought them to their newly built fortress on the outskirts of Bara Magna. After they had been beaten and battered by a variety of the Shadow One's cronies, and each of the Toa was strapped to a large pillar in the fortress's dungeon, where the Shadowed One now paced, as if waiting for someone to arrive. "You are probably wondering why I brought you here," he said, stopping in front of Tahu. "Well, if you must know, I am here to become the next great hero of this world." "What in the name of Karzanhi are you talking about?" exclaimed Gali, lifting her head high enough to meet the Shadowed One's gaze. "Silence you pathetic waste of Protodermis!" said the Dark Hunter Amphibax, who was standing next to Gali. There was a loud thud as the Dark Hunter punched Gali in the stomach, causing her to lost her breath and keel over, help up only by her bonds. The Shadowed One snickered. "Foolish Toa. You think your insults phase me? I have your powers, your precious Kanohi and even your Toa Symbols. I could incinerate you right now, but fortunately for you, I have bigger plans than just destroying the most powerful Toa in the universe." His back was to them now, and Tahu could see the Shadowed One's third leg. He then turn to gaze at the Toa out of the corner of his eye, an evil sneer across his face. "You see, I am the one who is going to destroy Teridax one and for all, but I will need your 'help' to do so." "Then why did you feel the need to kidnap us? And what makes you think Makuta is still alive?" asked Tahu, struggling against his bonds. "It's quite simple, Toa of Embers. Teridax cannot die unless all of his antidermis is destroyed," said the Shadowed One, his voice barely above a whisper. There was a loud bang, followed by a serious of grunts and clang of footsteps on the cold, stone floor of the dungeon. Tahu strained his eyes to see what was causing the commotion, but whatever it was, it was making sure to stay out of a sight. When the footsteps stopped, the grunts increased, as well as the rustle of what sounded like fabric. There was a loud thud, the sound of a small scuffle, and then two Dark Hunters appeared, dragging something behind them. Tahu recognized them as Gladiator and Minion, two of the organization's strongest members. After they slammed and fastened what they were dragging onto a rack of some kind, Minion began to shift and almost pace as if irritated by being in the room. The Shadowed One approached him and spoke softly. "He's here, isn't he?" Minion spoke, in a garbled voice, like he was speaking with a mouth full of water. It chilled Tahu to the core as it echoed eerily in the room, thought it was barley over a whisper. "Yes…he is here…I sense him…all over…like…he is…them!" "Then your usefulness has ended," he said, and blasted Minion with his laser vision. There was an explosion of energy, and the massive Dark Hunter fell to the ground and lay there in a pile, unmoving. The Shadowed One turned around and pointed at the rack. "Remove the shield!" Gladiator nodded and ripped something off the rack, holding it high in the air for all to see. Tahu thought it looked like a Kanohi of some kind, but it was solid protosteel and shapeless, with no slits for eyes or any other notable features on its surface. "Bring him forward," said the Shadowed One, stepping to the side. Gladiator pushed the rack forward into the low light from the various candles that filled the room. Strapped spread eagle to the rack was a Toa with dark silver and white armor. He gasped and coughed as he tried to lift his head up to see his surrounding. Tahu felt helpless as he stared at the battered Toa. As a moan escaped the Toa's mouth, and he gasped under his breathe, his voice almost cracking. "Takua…no…" The Shadowed One rapped his staff three times on the ground, and another Dark Hunter, one called Airwatcher, appeared with a two, small bundles to the Shadowed One's left. He gave one to the Shadowed One, and emptied the contents of the other onto the floor near him. Tahu heard a loud clatter as what seemed like Kanohi of some kind hit the floor, though he could not tell which ones they were in the dim light. The Shadowed One removed the cloth from his bundle, and revealed a golden Kanohi, which lit up the cavern and nearly blinded the Toa as its bright light fell on them. The Shadowed One then placed the Kanohi on Takanuva, which made his body lurch as if he had been electrocuted. The Tahu and the others cried out in utter helplessness as the golden armor of Takanuva, the Toa of Light, now shone in the dimly lit dungeon. The Shadowed One leaned in, his face just inches from Takanuva's mask and spoke to him in a chilling voice. "Now, just as we discussed," he said, pointing to the Toa. "I…can't…I…won't…" he gasped, laying his head back against the rack. "Then I'll make you!" said the Shadowed One. With blinding speed, he grabbed a Kanohi from the ground and slammed it onto Takanuva's face, banging his head against the back of the rack with a loud thud. Takanuva seemed to be filled with energy now, and began to fight against his bonds. The Shadowed One picked up another Kanohi and slammed it on Takanuva's face, causing the Toa of Light to start to glow more brightly, and once again bang his head on the back of the wooden rack. "How long can you hold all this energy, Toa of Light?" cried the Shadowed One, slamming yet another mask onto Takanuva's face. "If you release too much, you'll incinerate all of your fellow Toa. Release too little, and you'll destroy yourself. Is that a gamble you honestly want to take?" He slammed yet another Kanohi onto Takanuva's face, causing him to glow even brighter. As the Shadowed One raised another Kanohi from the ground, Tahu gasped as he caught the mask's outline in the dim light. He's giving him Masks of Elemental Energy! Thought Tahu. But if he isn’t more careful, he's going to knock Takanuva unconscious! Doesn't the Shadowed One realize that he could kill us all if he keeps doing that? The Shadowed One slammed another Kanohi onto the Toa of Light's face, causing the Av-Toa's head to bounce violently off the back of the rack yet again. Even as the leader of the Dark Hunter's raised another Kanohi up, the Toa of Light did not utter a sound of protest or pain. This seem to anger the Shadowed One even more as he screamed at Takanuva, his voice echoing several times over in the large, empty chamber. "Release your powers Toa of Light! Do it now!" The Toa of Light looked up and gazed into the eyes of the Tahu's team. "I'm…sorry,” he whispered, and as his head collapsed back onto the rack, he let out a shout of pain. Tahu closed his eyes as an explosion of light came from Takanuva, and washed over the Toa's bodies. Maybe it was his body shutting down, or his mind blocking it out, but Tahu felt no pain from the light. Instead, he felt like something was coursing through out his body, causing him to writhe and struggle to get away. Then, the pain hit him. It was pain like he had never known before. It was like his very soul was being torn from his body, and then torn in two. Memories flashed before his eyes, blurring and stirring his thoughts into a confusing swarm of consciousness, preventing him from distinguishing reality from his memories. Suddenly, the scattered fragments of his psyche then began to focus on one event. It was fuzzy at first, but eventually stabilized and he could now see a figure before him, black as soot and battling against him, a rusted Kanohi Hau on his face. He fought off several blows before his attacker spoke to him. "Take care, Tahu," said his attacker, his voice crackling like fire. "Lest the fire of your anger blaze out of control." "We'll see how you like my fire now," he said and unleashed a wave of fire that melted the very rock between them. He continued to battle his attacker, matching him blow for blow. Tahu felt like his mind was caught between the past and present, melding into some strange time paradox. Around him, the other Toa were battling versions of themselves, with little success. Then, his memories began to shutter, like his vision was trying to correct itself. There was a sudden blast and he saw Gali's attacker vanish in a cloud storm of fire, only to have his vision shift to the shadowy attackers regrouping to face the Toa as a group. "We can't beat them, they are just too powerful!" exclaimed Gali. His vision shifted again, showing Gali washing away Onua's attacker with a massive flood. As Onua went to attack Lewa's opponent, his vision shifted back to their enemies closing in on them as a group as he had seen before. "They match us move for move, as if they know what we are going to do next!" said Pohatu. Tahu's vision shifted again to see Pohatu suddenly fighting his attacker in the corner of the room. "Guys?" he called breathlessly. "Um, hey- anyone want to give me a hand here?" As Kopaka turned towards the Toa of Stone, Tahu's vision shifted again to see Kopaka and the other standing in a line around him, preparing to attack the Shadow Toa who were closing in on them. "It's because they are us!" said Kopaka, unleashing a snowstorm against their attackers. The Shadow Tahu released a torrent of energy, and Kopaka quickly created a wall of ice all around the Shadow Toa, allowing the Toa Mata to retreat to another section of the cavern while they tried to escape from. "What do you mean, brother?" asked Onua, summoning a massive dome of earth over their attackers as they huddled up, still facing the spot where their attackers were imprisoned. "Remember that Matoran was selling the infected Koli balls to the Matoran? The one Takua told us about?" "Yeah, he disappeared. What does that have to do with these Toa we are fighting now?" asked Pohatu, adding another wall of defense to hold their opponents captive. "Everything! Don't you see? We see the Matoran as faithful servants of Mata Nui, but then why would Ahkmou purposely sell those Koli balls to the Matoran?" said Kopaka. The Toa looked at him perplexed, but then Gali seemed to understand. "It is because we all have the choice to do great good or great evil," said Gali. "What is to stop us from now from ending this battle by offering our service to the Makuta? Nothing but our free will, and our heartfelt destiny to reawaken Mata Nui. It is our choices that make us Toa Heroes, instead of tyrants like Makuta." An explosion rocked the room, sending ice, earth and stone flying through the air. The Toa each summoned the power of their Kanohi Hau's, and shielded themselves from the onslaught of debris. As the Shadow Toa emerged from a cloud of dust, Lewa jumped in front of the other Toa and crouched into a battle ready stance. "Well, this has been a great deep-thought conversation, brothers," said Lewa, unleashing a blast of air at their attackers. "But how does that help us stop those things from making us Rahi-bones?" Tahu thought about Lewa's words carefully as he summoned a wall of fire to help impede their steady march towards his team. He thought about how he had nearly lost control of his anger not long after he had landed on the shores of Mata Nui and how tempting it had been to give into his anger and unleash all of his power on that beach, and even the world. It had made him realized just how close he came to giving into his inner darkness, even though he fought for justice and freedom of his Matoran friends. Tahu knew what he had to do and looked around at his fellow Toa. "If those things truly are reflections of us," he said, preparing his sword. "Then perhaps it's time we had a heartlight to heartlight talk with ourselves!" The others understood and readied their weapons as well. Giving a battle cry, Tahu charged, and the other Toa followed suit, yelling at the top of their lungs. The Shadow Toa charged as well, and the two forces met in the middle of the chamber. Locking weapons with his attacker, Tahu pressed his mask up to his shadow version's mask. "So, you say we are one in the same, monster?" "Of course I am you, foolish Toa! Do you finally see the truth?" "Yes I do, and it is time we see how alike we really are!" With a sudden burst of strength, Tahu broke free from his attacker and slammed his body into his Shadow self. As the being seemed to disperse into the air, he found himself engulfed in pain as the Shadow Tahu began to swirl and mass of shadow energy around him. To his left and right, his fellow Toa were also crying out as their enemies were covering them in a whirling mass of darkness. As the darkness continued to whirl around them, the voice of his enemy filled his head, and seemed to break apart as if being cut off by another voice trying to communicate with him as well. "This is not the end, Toa! I shall return!" Tahu suddenly felt his head fly back and he gazed up at the cavern's ceiling, as the dark mass seemed to enter his body from his mouth. As the dark mass seemed to fill his body, his vision once again began flash back and forth between his current battle and the images of the Toa destroying the other's Toa's shadow doubles with their various elemental attacks. Then the world began to swirl, almost blending together in a chaotic mixture of past and present, fact and fiction and light and darkness. With a final convulsion, Tahu found himself gasping for air and staring up at the ceiling of a dark room, pinned to a massive pillar by metallic bonds. As the Toa Nuva came out of their daze, they all looked up to see the Shadowed One getting into a battle stance and shouting at a large, greenish mass that was now floating in the middle of the chamber. "Get his body ready! He won't last long without something to house him!" "What is the meaning of this? What is going on?" said a deep, raspy voice in Tahu's head. He knew that voice. It was the voice of Makuta Teridax communicating through telepathy. The voice made even Tahu cringe, and he now knew what the greenish cloud must be. It was the last remaining portion of Teridax's antidermis, which had housed itself inside the bodies of the Toa Nuva, like they had taken him hostage. Our souls must have kept Makuta pinned down inside of us, knowing what great evil he would have committed should he have escaped! Thought Tahu, as he stared at the swirling cloud above them. But why is the Shadowed One giving him a body? He will only grow stronger if he finds something to house his spirit! "I have freed you from your Toa captures to finish what we started on Metru Nui over 1,000 years ago, Teridax! And today, you will not be able to escape!" "Foolish, Shadowed One. You claim to the all knowing leader of a powerful organization, but you do not realize how clueless you really are!" "What do you mean? I was the one who discovered the full layout of your plan to take over the universe! Did you really think I would not consider you would have a backup plan in case you failed even after your greatest victory? Surely even you cannot be so headstrong you would have an oversight like that? No, I know you have schemes within schemes and plans within plans so that even if you fail, you still keep yourself five steps ahead of your enemies! Well, I have learned from your treachery and I did some scheming of my own! And now, I will be the one who will finally destroy you, and claim my rightful place as the rightful ruler of this universe!" "Against my knowledge, you are nothing more than a Hoto bug in terms of intelligence, Shadowed One. Which is why I will not fight you today. Instead I will leave you now, and let you rethink your glorious plan." The mass suddenly dove towards the ground, and dissipated into Minion through the small gaps in his indestructible armor plating. The massive Dark Hunter then rose from the ground writhing and squirming as if in massive amounts of pain. After Minion rose to his full height, he writhed for several more seconds, and then suddenly roared in the voice of Teridax, raising a massive clawed hand high into the air. Before he could counter the attack, Teridax struck the Shadowed One with a massive blow to his face. The other Dark Hunters sprang into action to subdue him, but Teridax struck them with a blast of laser vision, combined with his chain lightening power from one hand and sonic power from his other. As the various Dark Hunters collapsed to the ground, Teridax turned and unleashed a similar attack on the Shadowed One that sent him flying through the air and through a nearby wall. When the dust settled, Makuta had vanished from view leaving Tahu and his fellow Toa chained to the wall. As the Shadowed One began to stir and recover from the massive blast, Tahu suddenly felt himself being freed. He turned to see Takanuva, using small beams of light to break the Toa's bonds. As soon as he was free, Tahu helped free his fellow Toa. The two Toa worked quickly and as soon as Kopaka's bonds were destroyed, they ran up the flight of stairs that lead out of the dungeon toward the main level of the fortress. As Tahu collected his Kanohi and weapons from a room just to the left of the stairs, he turned and unleashed a torrent of fire at the doorway, blocking any pursuit from the Dark Hunters. The Toa continued to run out of the Dark Hunter's fortress, battling its various members as they went. When they finally reached the exit, the Toa hijacked several of the Hunter's vehicles from the fortresses courtyard and took off towards the Matoran settlement.
  6. Chapter Four Head Akilini-Head in Charge Takua continued to marvel at the tank they had just received in their latest shipment. It filled him with so much enthusiasm; he could feel it spilling over into his conversation. Even Kongu’s endless jokes about picking up Ga-Matoran were making him chuckle, but he soon realized what he was doing. Kongu knew nothing about love or dating. His idea of a date was going to a club, getting as many girls to follow him home and then spending the whole night up with them bragging about how awesome of an Akilini player he was. To be honest, Kongu’s comments often offended Takua more than they had made him laugh. Ga-Matoran deserved respect, especially since they were out numbered five to one on the island and were probably the greatest victim of the war. After mentioning how Ga-Matoran were like Toa Kaita, Takua had to speak up, but was careful about how he went about showing his displeasure.“Yeah, I’ll let you in on a little secret. I’ve actually got a girl back home.”“Oh yeah?” asked Kongu. “Sister-friend or sister-mate?”“No brother, she’s just my sister-friend. We were going to be united but…I got shipped out and…ah, you know how it works.”“Oh…well, you going to be united when you get back?” asked Kongu. Before Takua could answer, Ehrye suddenly interrupted.“I’m not going to get united. My teacher always said ‘Why buy the Mahi when you can get the milk for free?’”“Hey private,” said Takua, stepping forward. “Did you just call my sister-friend a Mahi?”“No, I think he called her a Kraata!” said Kongu.“I’ll tell you what, Eyre,” said Takua, already formulating a plan to get rid of the recruit for the rest of day, possibly the week. “I could sit out here listen to you insult my sister-friend all day long, but as it turns out, I’ve got a lot more important job for you to do.” “Great…” mumbled Ehrye.“See, we’ve got this general,” he said.“Yeah, the general brother…” said Kongu, half catching onto Takua plan.“Who likes to come by and make random inspections of bases. So what I’m going to have you do, is I’m going to have you go in the base, and stand right next to the flag at attention, just in case he decides to come by.” It was one of Takua’s more brilliant plans. Not only did it get the rookie out of the way, but kept him out of the way no matter what he wanted to do. It was as if they had an actual commanding officer giving them orders.“When is he coming by?” asked Ehrye.“We never sure-think,” said Kongu. “It could be today, it could be a week from now.”“You want me to stand at attention for a week?” asked Ehrye, his eyes growing in disbelief.“You know, you don’t sound very grateful,” said Takua, mustering up every ounce of authority he could into his voice. “This is the most important job at the whole base. You’re going to be right there with the flag!”“What’s so important about the flag?” asked Ehrye, looking more confused and nervous than ever. Takua had to stop himself. For once, the rookie’s stupidity had actually helped him. Takua did not have an immediate comeback for such a ridiculously stupid question.“Ah come on,” he said, trying to sound as confident as he did before. “Don’t they teach you guys anything in training?”“They didn’t tell us anything about a flag,” said Ehrye, now regaining his composure. “Why is it so important?”“Because it’s the flag, brother, you know…it’s the flag! It’s the fl…It’s…Kongu! You tell him why the flag is so important!” The words flew out of his mouth before he knew he had said them. Well, at least Kongu can bumble around for a bit while I think of a more impressive answer.“Well…it’s…it’s complicated,” he stuttered, slowly grasping a hold of what he was trying to say. “It’s got our Akilini symbols, we live out our Akilini symbols…”“It’s just important, okay? Trust us,” said Takua, sparing Kongu from saying something really stupid and nonsensical. “So when the general comes by the first thing he’s going to want to do is inspect the flag.”“Right!” said Kongu.“So just go in there,” said Takua, pointing to the base. “You know, far away from us, and wait for him.” As soon as the words exited his mouth, Ehrye took of for the base at a brisk jog. To Takua’s displeasure, when he got about half way there, he turned back around and called out to him.“How will I know when I see him?”“There’s only three of us out here, Akilini-head! He’s the only Matoran who doesn’t look like one of us,” said Kongu, rolling his eyes.“Now get in there and don’t come out!” said Takua, forcing himself to keep his disk launcher lowered. When Ehrye was inside the base, he turned to Kongu. “Man, that Matoran is dumber than you are!”“You mean he’s dumber than you are,” he replied smirking.“Wow Kongu…that was a great comeback,” he said, rolling his eyes.“Uh, Mr. Takua! Sir!” called Ehrye, poking his head out the door to the base.“Mata Nui protect me,” he mumbled to himself. “What?” he called out to Ehrye, then turned to Kongu and said, “Kongu, I swear. I’m going to kill him!”“Sorry about calling your sister-friend a Mahi…”“EHRYE! SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP! YOU’RE DRIVING ME CRAZY! GET IN THERE! Kongu? Are you laughing at me?” he said, as he turned around, preparing to raise his weapon.“Excuse me sir, can I ask you a question?” said a voice from behind him. Takua flinched as he stopped himself from spinning on the spot and firing his Kanoka Disk of Teleportation at the Matoran behind him. Without spinning around, he spoke in a slow, clear voice.“Pray to Mata Nui above, rookie. If I turn around and you are not inside, I…I can't be held responsible for what I am going to do to you!”“What did I do?” asked the Matoran. That was the last straw for Takua. He loaded his disk launcher and started counting out loud, still facing away from the base. “One…”“Aw, give me a break!”“Two!”“Fine!”Relaxing as the Matoran’s footsteps faded away into the building, Takua stowed his launcher and turned to Kongu, a new cheer resounding in his voice.“Well, enough gabbing out of us! Let’s take this bad boy out for a spin!”As Hafu entered the trading post, he immediately saw a Ko-Matoran, standing next to a bright white flag covered in symbols of some kind. He could not see any sign of other goods, but the sight the Matoran was more than enough to raise his spirits.“Wow! You got here fast!” said the Matoran, straighten up.“Why is everyone so rude in this canyon?” he asked, pausing for a moment to catch his breath.“I’m not, sir! What can I do for you?”“Finally,” said Hafu, straightening up. “Someone with a little respect around here.”“Yes sir!” said the Matoran, also straightening his posture. “I assume you are here because of this.” He pointed to flag. Hafu’s spirit fell slightly. If this was the trading post, then they must have been out of stock of supplies. He had no need for the flag, but at the same time, he should at least come back with something. I should double check to see if they keep their supplies somewhere else. They might be having a sale on these or something so that’s why he’s trying to get me interested in it. “Wait, is this all you have?”“Uh, yes sir! That’s it!”“Ah man…this figures…Rahi droppings!” he muttered, staring at the floor. “What about elbow grease? Headlight fluid?” he asked, looking up at the Ko-Matoran.“Umm…no! All we have is this flag!”“Well, I can't go back empty handed. I guess I will take that,” he said, and pointed at the flag.“Sure. That makes sense…I guess,” said the Ko-Matoran, and handed him the flag.“Man, they are going to give me such a hard time for coming back with just this stupid flag…”Takua turned to Kongu, a new cheer in his voice. Now that the rookie was gone, it was time to test drive their new vehicle.“Let’s take this bad boy out for a spin!” he said, stowing his launcher on his back. “Go ahead and hop in Kongu.”“Me? I can't drive that thing! I just operated the chutes, remember?”“You’re telling me you have no idea how to drive any kind of vehicle?” said Takua, not believing what he was hearing. It was a Ta-Matoran telling him they did not know how to make Kanohi or Kanoka Disks.“I don’t even know how to use your disk launcher. Don’t you know how to drive that?”“No! Mata Nui protect us! Who is running this army?” he called out to the sky.“Hey! Just wanted to let you know the general stopped by and picked up the flag!” It was Ehrye calling from the base. Just the sound of his voice made Takua want to shoot something. He had no time for the cool dudes at command, let alone the ones in his platoon too.“Yeah, okay! Whatever Akilini-head!” he called back, then turned his attention to Kongu and the tank. “Why would they give us a tank, if nobody here knows how to drive the blasted thing?” As he fumed over the current situation, Takua felt like shooting something, even the tank, was the only thing that was going to keep him from going insane in this canyon. Between the tank no one could drive and Ehrye going on about the general…“Wait a second…what did he just say?” he asked Kongu. The Le-Matoran froze, a look of pure shock on his face. Without speaking, both Matoran drew their weapons and headed for the base. There were only three other Matoran in this entire canyon besides their squad, and now one of them had just taken their flag without any of them noticing. This brush with death made Takua realize that the war had finally come to the Whisper Canyon.
  7. I know I do not have any screen shots of my game I want to make (The Four Chronicles) but how about Moves Lists and Base Character stats? Do those count. I also have the entire enemy list draft, complete with stats and moves for each enemy (over fifty unique enemies.) How can I reopen my forum?

  8. This is a sweet idea! I will try and see what I can do in my free time, though my building skills aren't that great.
  9. Chapter Three The Rookies The sun above Metru Nui blazed as the Fire Army stood at their lookout spots. It had been three days since Command had sent them their new vehicle, the Vako, and now the Fire troops were “eagerly” awaiting the arrival of their new teammate. Today, Jala and Nuhrii were talking about a previous battle they had been in together during the first Civil War that the Matoran had fought.“Well, that’s not exactly what happened,” said Nuhrii.“Yes it is! You said ‘I’m not going to Le-Metru,’ and then next thing I know you hitch a chute and…”“Excuse me sirs?”Nuhrii and Jala turned to see a Matoran, dressed head to toe in tan armor, including his Hau replica mask. He carried a simple disk launcher.“Sirs?” asked Nuhrii.“Ah curses,” said Jala.“I was told to report to Whisper Canyon Outpost Number One and speak to whoever’s in charge,” said the tan Matoran.“Sorry brother, Vakama is at Command getting orders. Ain’t nobody in charge today.”“Actually private, he left me in charge while he’s gone,” said Nuhrii.“You are such a kiss-mask,” said Jala.“Also, he told me if I had any trouble from you, I should,” Nuhrii paused to clear his throat. “‘Get in the Vako and crush your head like a Bula Berry.’”“That’s the worst impression I’ve ever heard…”“Okay rookie, what’s your story?” asked Nuhrii, returning his attention to the new Matoran.“Private Hafu reporting for duty, sir! I’m ready to fight some Ko-Matoran.”“Couple of things here, rookie,” said Jala. “First off, Private Hafu? I think someone needs a new nickname. Secondly, what’s with the Kanohi?”“This is the standard issue Hau,” said Hafu.“Yeah, I know. Listen, only two types of Matoran wear standard issue Kanohi. Officers and recruits. And since you’re not threatening to gut me like a Razorfish, you’re probably not an officer.”“Well, you’re wearing a Hau.”“No, I'm wearing a yellow Hau. It’s not a typical secondary Ta-Metru color. It’s different,” said Jala bluntly.“Well, how do I get a different mask?”“I bet the Ko-Matoran don't have to put up with this nonsense…” mumbled Nuhrii. * * * Across the canyon, the Ice Army’s shipment had just flown in. It was an impressive sight. The tank was twice as large as the Fire Army’s ground transport, and its massive Cordak Blaster mount could easily blow apart the entire base. The new recruit was a pretty typical solider. He wore a white, Noble Mahiki-styled Kanohi and his main armor color was white. He was equipped with a standard disk launcher. Takua was slowly getting more annoyed by the second as the new recruit spoke. He had not stopped talking since the ship had put him down, and seemed to have almost no patience or respect when it came to rank.“So I said to the guy, ‘How are you going to get the tank down into the canyon?’ and he goes ‘I’ll just put it on the airship,’ and I go ‘If you have a airship that can carry a tank, why not just put disk launchers on the ship and use it instead?’”“Hey Ehrye,” said Kongu.“Yeah?” he answered excitedly.“You’re ruining the moment. Shut up.”“Oh…okay. You got it, brother,” said Ehrye awkwardly.Takua continued to stare at the tank. It was truly a masterpiece of Le-Matoran ingenuity and Po-Matoran craftsmanship. In all, it had four large treads that would allow the vehicle to not only travel at high speeds, but also take 90-degree turns. Its thick armor plating was designed to not only protect the Matoran inside, but also defuse any special powers the disks might have that would otherwise disable, shrink or teleport the tank. Finally, the large, 360 degree spinning cockpit came equipped with a rapid firing Rhotuka Launcher and Cordak Blaster, which automatically reloaded and could fire a single round every four seconds.“You know what? I could blow up the entire city with this thing…” he said, imagining himself driving the tank from Metru to Metru, taking out all hostile opponents to bring and end to the war.“You know what, forget what I said before,” said Kongu, now turned to Takua. “We can definitely pick up water-sisters in this thing. Probably two, three sisters a piece!”“Oh brother, listen to you. What are you going to do with two Ga-Matoran?”“Brother, water-sisters are like Toa Kaita: The more you can hook up, the better it gets.” * * * Back on the Fire Army’s base, the Matoran were still trying to figure out what Hafu could do until Vakama got back. They could not have him just stand around with them; that would drive them insane. Also, they could not give the rookie any real orders, as their orders from command had not yet come in for the week. Suddenly, Nuhrii got an idea.“Okay, Private Hafu, here’s the deal...”“I just refuse to call him Private Hafu!” said Jala. Nuhrii ignored him, and continued speaking the rookie, who was at full attention.“We’ve got a very important mission for you. Do you think you can handle it?”“Absolutely!” he said. Mata Nui, this guy is dumber than he sounds, thought Nuhrii.“We need you to go the trading post, and get two quarts of elbow grease.”“Yeah, and uh…pick up some headlight fluid for the Muaka, too,” said Jala, catching on to Nuhrii’s plan.“The what?” asked Hafu.“He means the Vako,” said Nuhrii.“You do know where the trading post is, right rookie?” asked Jala, leaning toward Hafu, and looking out the top of his Kanohi’s eye slits.“What?” said Hafu, obviously flustered. “Yeah…yeah! Of course I do! Sure. No problem!” he finished, gaining false confidence with each word.“Well, get going then!” said Nuhrii, pointing away from the base. Hafu took off at a dead sprint. Jala shouted after him.“Other way!”“I knew that! Just got turned around! That’s all!” he called back, and did a full 180-degree turn and began to run away from the base.“How long until you think he figures out there is no trading post, or that we did not give him any widgets to buy anything?” ask Nuhrii, chuckling slightly.“I’d say…” said Jala, counting off on his fingers. “At least a week.”“You think that we were too mean to our brother?” asked Nuhrii, staring out as Hafu ran towards one of the cliffs.“Naw,” said Jala, waving his hand. “He’ll just wander out on the cliffs for a few hours. What’s the worst that could happen?”When he was sure he was far enough away, Hafu stopped and look back at the base with disgust.“Elbow grease? How stupid to they think I am? Once I get back to the base with that headlight fluid, I am going to talk to the sergeant.” Invigorated with his new frustration, Hafu powered it into his legs and took off into the cliffs. After several minutes, he could see another structure on the horizon. That must the trading post! He thought eagerly, and took off at a sprint. As he neared, his excited boiled over and he suddenly exclaimed “Finally! There it is! Oh sweet! They sell tanks!” As Hafu neared the building, he could have never imagined that he was walking into not only enemy territory, but the enemy’s very base.Review the story here --->http://www.bzpower.com/board/index.php?showtopic=905&st=0&p=13074&&do=findComment&comment=13074

  12. Chapter TwoFire Gets a Delivery “Ga-Matoran! Front and center on the double!” Jala and Nuhrii jumped at their sergeant’s commands and hurried down off of their base to stand at attention. “Hurry up! This ain’t no pick-up game of street Akilini!”“Pick-up game of street Akilini?” whispered Nuhrii to Jala. “Stop talking you two! Anyone want to guess why I gathered you here today?”“Is it because the war’s over and you’re sending us home?” asked Jala.“That’s exactly it private. War’s over. We won! Turns out you’re the big hero and we are going to hold a parade in your honor. I get to drive the float, and Nuhrii here is in charge of confetti!” “I’m no stranger to sarcasm, sir.”“Mata Nui curse you, private! Shut your mouth or else I’ll have Nuhrii steal your mask while you’re asleep!” “Oh, I’d do it too!” said Nuhrii with glee. “I know you would, Nuhrii,” said their sergeant. “You’re a good brother. Couple of things today, Ga-Matoran. Command has seen fit to increase our ranks here at Whisper Canyon Outpost Number One.”“Curses…we’re getting a rookie,” said Jala. “That’s right Rahi-bones. Our new recruit will be here within the week, but today, we received the first part of our shipments from command.” He turned around and called out to the hill behind them. “Zadakh, bring up the vehicle.” The two Matoran watched as their Vahki and mechanic, Zadakh, came over the hill in a large, ground transport vehicle of some kind. It had an open cockpit and a large disk launcher attached in the bed. The most striking feature of the vehicle was a large hook on the front that seemed to indicate it could be use for towing or getting other vehicles out of sticky situations. “Shotgun!” said Nuhrii. “Shotgun! Curses!” said Jala. “May I introduce our LEP Reconnaissance vehicle? It has armor plating, a suspension system, mounted automatic Rhotuka Spinner launcher position, and total seating for three. Gentlemen, this is the M12LRV. I like to call it the Vako.” “Why Vako sir?” asked Nuhrii. “Because ‘M12LRV’ is too hard to say in conversation, brother.” “No, but…why Vako? It looks nothing like a big horned Rahi,” said Jala. “Say that again,” demanded the sergeant. “I think it looks more like a Muaka.” “What in Ta-Metru is a Muaka?”“You mean like the mask company?” asked Nuhrii. “No, like a Muaka. It’s a big cat, like a Rock Lion,” said Jala. “You’re making that up,” stated the sergeant bluntly. “I’m telling you! It’s a real Rahi!”“Nuhrii, I want you to poison Jala’s next shipment of disks.”“Yes sir!” said Nuhrii with gusto. “Look…see this big hook here? It looks like a horn. Now what kind of Rahi has a horn?”“A Kikanalo,” said Jala flatly. “Didn’t I just tell you to stop making up Rahi?”Across the way, Takua and Kongu were still spying on the Fire army in the hot afternoon sun. Takua was about to leave when suddenly a large vehicle came up over the hill and parked in front of the base. “Whoa! What is that thing?” asked Kongu. “I don't know, Kongu. It looks like some kind of ground vehicle down there. We better get back to base and report it,” said Takua, stowing his disk launcher. “Wait! A ground transport? How come they get a ground transport?”“What are you complaining about? We are about to get a tank, based off a Nui-Jaga, in the very next drop.” “You can't pick up Ga-Matoran in a tank,” sighed Kongu. “Oh you know what? You could complain about anything, couldn’t you? We are about to get a tank, and you’re worried about Ga-Matoran. What Ga-Matoran are you going to pick up? And secondly, how are you going to pick them up invehicle that looks like that?”“Well, what kind of vehicle is it?”“I don't know. I’ve never seen a ground transport like that,” Said Takua, looking at the vehicle through his disk launcher’s scope. “It looks like…some kind of cat Rahi,” said Takua, using his disk launcher to get a better look. “Like a Muaka?” suggested Kongu. “Yeah, there you go.”Meanwhile, the sergeant was finishing up his discussion with his two privates. “So unless anyone has anymore mythical creatures to suggest as a name for the new vehicle, we are going to stick with…the Vako. How about it Jala?”“No sir. No more suggestions,” sighed Jala. “Are you sure? How about Keetongu?” “It’s okay,” said Jala, sounding more and defeated. “Kanohi Dragon?”“No…no really, I'm fine…”“Mana-Ko?”“Turaga Nui?” said Nuhrii. “Hey, he doesn’t need any help,” snapped Jala. “Rahi Nui?”Jala let out a long sigh as he tried to ignore the rest of Vakama’s comments. “Hey Nuhrii, what the name of that bug that eats your muscle?”“That would be the Dust Darter, sir.”“Hey Jala? Darter thingy? How about that? I like it. It’s got a ring to it.”After several more belittling jokes, the sergeant left them for the day. Jala and Nuhrii continued on their watch until the early evening, and then heading inside their base for the night. Seeing the Fire army turn to their bunks, the Takua and Kongu went back to base to prepare for their shipment the next day. As the sun began to set, the soldiers turned in for the night. Little did they know, that even as they slept, and the wheels of destiny were already turning in all of their lives. Tomorrow was going to be a big day, and the day the battle for Whisper Canyon would finally begin.
