Update on the kindness and charity situation for those unaware: I'm having both BenLuke and Mef fully flesh out their characters in detail and have them both create a character for charity. I'm having them do this to give me more to work with so I can make a decision on who's best suited for which position.
Or would you guys like to vote once we're ready to choose?
-
You want kindness...oh boy...BenLuke wants kindness but he hasn't exactly posted his profile up yet...
Charity's an open spot so you could have that one but if you're bent on having kindness, it looks like you two are going to have to compete for it...
If that's the case well, I wish good luck to the both of you.
-
Well BioBeast has informed me that he will resign from the team, meaning charity's spot is currently open for applications.
Do note that the following elements have been taken: ice, iron, gravity, water and magnetism.
If more than one person takes interest in the charity position, we'll have to hold a vote.
-
No, I'll check it out to see if he fits well for the charity character. I'll pm you once I'm done.

Hubert: Quada (Chastity, awaiting final work)
Me: Vilok (Temperance)
Zoma: Durim (Patience)
Parugi: Raehn (Diligence)
Onarax: Kraeyn (Humility)
BenLuke and Biobeast, don't take too long to make your characters.
-
So this is the team so far:
Zoma: Durim (Patience)
Parugi: Raehn (did I spell that right? Diligence)
Me: Vilok (Temperance. His profile's up)
Onarax: Kraeyn (Humility)
-
This...is a problem. Jaliax and Durim are both Toa of water and both sport masks of growth. What a coincidence...
Here's how it's going to go: Zoma, Hubert, one of you is going to have to change in some form. Don't want to harsh on anyone's mellow but I'm not having two exact same Toa. You guys sort it out through pms and post the result here.
Hubert: a frying pan as a weapon...?
-
I'm looking forward to Mass Effect 3, Bioshock Infinite, Halo 4, FFXIII-2 and Fortnite (if it is coming out this year).
-
The reasons why this will be a Toa team has already been explained and so far, has outmatched every arguments from the other side. No offense but bringing a Matoran would be even worse for obvious reasons.
Now then, I'm finished my profile for my character.
-
You're getting a Matoran to join the team now...? I don't want to be rude but: no.
-
Bam, you're recruiting. Have fun. It looks like we're waiting on the other folk to create their characters and have them decide a unique situation for the recruiter and his recruits to work with.
I'm currently off to make my own Toa. I think I'm going to make him a Toa of gravity with a Volitak.
-
Maybe for my Temperance character, he could be a tad mentally unstable at the start. He'd have a bit of a temper, lack of self-control and restraint and he's noticed his faults himself so as a result, he decides to live outside of the village, away from society until he got better.
In short, you'd have to coax him into joining, giving him a way to master the virtue of temperance by joining.
Does that sound good?
-
Count me out. However, if push comes to shove, I'll do it.
-
Zoma pretty much summed up what I was about to say. Zoma, thank you. Even if the recruiter is possibly racist, the fact that Toa work better together than with anyone else still hangs in the air, making it a justifiable and acceptable reason.
Not to mention this team is contrast to the Daedra which just so happens to be a Toa team as well...I think.
-
Ancora it is. I kind of forgot, what's the recruiter's reason to go around recruiting again...?
On a side note: Parugi, you got a problem with English? Just kidding, don't answer that
-
Looks like it's going to be a Toa team unless someone could give us a very good reason as to why not.
As for the name, this is just a thought but what about the Toa Advent? Advent stands for the arrival of a notable thing, person, event, etc. I find the term suits it well.
-
I'm a definite no. I find Toa work better together rather than with another species. Always have, always will in my opinion.
-
Well it seems more people than I expected seem to want a character with the species of their own choosing. To avoid making characters redundant and boring for the user, let's go by majority vote. If I get at least three to four people, I'll probably have it happen.
-
Parugi, Raehn looks good for Diligence I'd say. I'll list her as a potential candidate. Same for Durim, Zoma.
I really don't feel like being chastity and with kindness and charity out of the way, I believe I'll take Temperance. Not sure how that'll work out but if I deviate from its path, don't not say anything about it
So, looks like we need another runner up for chastity.
-
Me: Anything
Onarax: Humility
Zoma: Patience
Parugi: Temperance or Diligence
BenLuke: Kindness
Biobeast: Charity
If there's anything wrong, correct me. Looks like my intentions on being kindness or charity were snuffed out since I'm too nice to object Things look good to go for posting profiles. Parugi, I'll look over yours in a minute.
-
Oh boy...okay one second, let me sort who wants that...
-
I wouldn't exactly call myself fully in charge (technically I am); I think of this as more of a collective effort. The only way I could really decide who gets which position would be presenting me with a profile you have in mind and even then, I'd like feedback and opinions from others.
As for the recruiter: I really don't care who gets around to it. We've got most of the plot covered up which is: one person goes around recruiting others for a Toa team of seven like the Daedra and as our adventures develop, so do our characters virtue-wise. Although, whoever's character is recruiting will need a reason to be recruiting.
On a side note, shall we start posting profiles?
-
So am I. Whichever virtue I get, I'll probably have him/her start off differently from the virtue. Question is: who wants to be the recruiter?
-
Sounds good. Any ideas on how they start off as a team though, after meeting?
