  1. There's actually another strange thing in this passage that might be related. While the english version of the episode state they must "find the mask maker", the french version state they must "find the mask master". (The only other translated version i'm aware of is the german one, but I don't understand german) I would usually say that it's a translation error, but in this case the french version make more sense to me: it could either mean the Toa will need to find someone that'll teach them to fully master their masks or be a reference to LoSS.
  2. I bring this quite late, but Protector establish one of the (formerly unknown) Toa Mangai as a Toa of Fire. Since, it has been confirmed Lhikan was the only Toa Mangai of Fire. That seems like a problem to me, but I could be missing something.
  3. Depend on your definition. 1324 members visited the site at least one time in the past month, according to a quick search in the member list.
  4. Actually, it is indeed the french version of The Legend, as confirmed in a recent report (at the end).
  5. Oh come on, this poll wasn't even open for a week. That's rushing it to a ridiculous point.
  6. On this one, I must say that not everybody does speak english. And not speaking english does not make them less interested by canon, and their opinion can be interesting.
  7. Without even considering time, I think this poll should be closed after the one for the Kakama, since it can change the results. Otherwise, two weeks would seem reasonable to me.
  8. I think that dealing with potential secondary masks is getting out of hand and isn't appropriate for minor characters. I think it should just be assumed that they had one primary mask, or at least that what we're voting on is the primary mask. I'm all for canonizations but this is too much. So, basically, some options needs to be eliminated because they don't please to some. Err... That's just as bad as hiding willingly some facts to Greg to canonize something in my book. I'm not saying it should be a secondary mask, just that the option should be here unless Greg ruled it out. My guess would be that he will rule it out, but that's not a given, and ruling it out of the options is not our choice. Kinda like all Elemental Masks except the Garai are not included in the options for the Mangai of Ice.
  9. I still think the problem of wether or not this Kakama was the "normal" mask of a Toa should have been adressed before launching that poll. And that's a problem I brought up before the poll was launched. In BA8, chapter 4, it is shown that great masks were forged for the Toa Metru even before they came into being, so that's highly probable the Toa Mangai had some spare masks. On a side note, I don't think it was ever stated if Suva were often used - the question never seems to have come up in the old OGD. We didn't see them being often used, that's not the same thing: most of the existing Toa were never seen.
  10. I voted yes, but my opinion would be more "yes but not with the current polls". There have been just too much issues with these, they should be redone correctly, to avoid distorting in the votes because of random removal and additions, too short time, etc.
  11. Well, the problem is that this Kakama already had an influence on this poll - just see the first answer to the starting post -, and it would have been better to ask before launching this poll. That part is rushed. There are also issues with going to ask Greg directly instead of discussing the matter before. While I agree the question you asked Greg is a good starter point, there might be other issues to clear up about this Kakama. Like, was it the regular mask worn by a Toa Mangai, or just one he took to speed up to the sea gates and his usual mask is another one?
  12. Boidoh, I think you're rushing it there. The last suggestion that was added was not even 24 hours ago. The topic was opened four days ago. That's too fast. Some people can't come on BZP every day, and word of this canonization hasn't really reached a fair part of the fandom, even on BZP. And that's even worth when you think of the other communities. For example, stuff like this usually take around a week to begin to be known in the french community.
  13. Personnaly, my main concern about voting for the four Toa at the same time is that knowing what Kanohi one already has would probably change what people will vote for. If these polls were runned one by one, one after the other, results would be different I think. Just as an example, if the Kakama was chosen first, other masks improving mobility would probably have far less votes in the following polls - the Kualsi, the Kadin... I think the poll for the Kanohi of the Toa of the Green have clearly shown people vote for a Kanohi because of the role it would give to the Toa. Then, for some roles, there are a lot of possible Kanohi, and only a few for others. Just for the example, let's say most people want a stealthy guy and a good warrior. There are a lot of possibilities of Kanohi for a good warrior, but only two for a stealthy uy: the Huna and the Volitak. It would be probable the Huna and the Volitak would have something like 50% of votes each, and so would be the winning pair, unless a warrior mask really take the lead on the other ones. And so people would end up with two Toa in a stealth role where they only wanted one. I think running a poll by Toa, a poll at a time, would be better. And also, who wore the Kakama should be chosen first, just so it doesn't end up defaulting to someone. As for the poll, I haven't really made my mind yet about what Kanohi I would want the Toa of Ice to wear. There are many cool options. One thing I would really like and that would have for sure my vote would be a Toa that doesn't have a default mask but change regularly according to the situation. The Pakari is also likely to be one of my choices.
  14. I think Yaldabaoth means the things like The Kingdom, The Many Deaths of Toa Tuyet, and The Crossing. He may also refer to the canonised fan short stories (Decadence, No One Gets Left Behind, Protection, The Dweller Report, Hope and Tentacles). That also make me think there are also the ATYU2 results that are arguably canon.
  15. Well, I think that kinda make sense. Bara Magna isn't the home of most Fire Agori, so he would just be from another place. Maybe from around the Great Volcano, since that was the original land of the Fire Tribe. After all, if the Skrall migrated, some members from other tribes could also do it.
  16. You can find a copy of The Legend Continues on BS01. That's an adventure where you choose what the protagonists do, and you go to a different part of the story according to what you choose. I guess canon games would also include the MLN BIONICLE Campaign. Not really sure that would really be considered a game.
  17. That comes from this quote from the old OGD: Quite a long time ago, actually. Pre-Barraki rebellion
  18. That doesn't mean you could see the whole island on one look. (And actually, given Mount Ihu is in the middle of the island, that's highly unprobable, unless Toa have eyes behind their heads). So, Kopaka would just see a small part of the head of the robot. Probably quite flat, given he would be on one eye. Well, the hand would likely be millions of feet away from the robot's head. He would definitely need a very good telescopic lense. Concerning the island of Mata Nui length, I based what I said on its official length (303.91 miles) and the robot size (forty millions feet). On human's proportions, the head is around 1/8 or 1/9 of the whole body. That would make the head of the Great Spirit Robot between four and five millions feet (757,57 miles and 946,97 miles). As far as I know, most art doesn't fit with the official measurements, but that fall under artistic license. The point I was trying to make with the Maze of Shadows would be that Mata Nui "skin" probably look a lot like rock - just like the Maze of Shadows, which is inside its skin - and has tunnels inside it, so that wouldn't be obvious it's not natural.
  19. I don't see how the telescopic properties of the Akaku would help since that doesn't allow to zoom out. (As far as I know, plus that wouldn't make sense). I think you don't see how big the Great Spirit Robot is. If its head/body ratio is the same than for human, its head would be twice as big as the length of the island of Mata Nui. They would need to go really far to see some big shape. And even then, they could easily think that's just some kind of rift. Furthermore, I don't think the Great Spirit Robot "skin" is made of metal plates. I think most of it would be like the Maze of Shadows.
  20. With all due respect, I think you're misconstruing the issue. As far as I can tell, Maxim never said that he was against the idea of Annona being female, simply that he found the idea of Greg's subjective-sounding statements being considered canon questionable. Am I missing something? That's exactly that. The neutral form is the one that is mostly used. I found only one instance of Sahmad referring to Annona as "him". That seems more like an oversight from Greg. I was wrong on that one, that's true. BS01 use "she" since almost one year. But that's not since Greg "confirmed" it, you changed it two years after his statement.
  21. Sorry, I didn't see you posted before posting my own answer, bonesiii. Even though, I would like to point out that Greg's exact statement is "I see Annona as female", which is equivalent to "I think Annona is female", and not "I consider Annona as female". And as far as I know, we don't use to go with what Greg think, but what Greg state. BS01 itself only state Annona as female only since a little more than a month, it used the neutral form before - which is also used all along Sahmad's Tale.
  22. Well, I guess I'll ask Greg on LMB, it can't hurt to have a more clear statement. I would prefer to be sure before changing that on the french wiki
  23. Because that's clearly phrased as an opinion, and not a fact. Phrasing matters, in my opinion. I think if Greg wanted to say it was effectively female, he would juste have said "it's a female", and wouldn't have used "I see Annona as". I might be nitpicking, but giving a gender to Annona would also imply it is part of species that reproduce biologically, and everything seem to indicate Annona is an unique entity.
  24. As far as we know, probably. Given the GBs are still around in this reality, it seems unlikely he/she (was its gender ever clearly defined?) would go out of hiding, though. Annona was confirmed to be a 'she'. Really? I remained on the quote of 2011 in which Greg said he sees Annona as female, but I don't think that would count as a clear confirmation. Is there a new quote I could have missed in the new OGD on the LEGO forums?
  25. As far as we know, probably. Given the GBs are still around in this reality, it seems unlikely he/she (was its gender ever clearly defined?) would go out of hiding, though. I think it has a pretty wide range, but once again not clearly defined. I would think so. We also know for sure they have other ways to go to another dimension from this one.
