  1. IC: [Glork at Kakariko]"Aight," Glork said simply to Algernon. If they wanted to get something from the town quick enough that would be easy. "No Hyruleans as of a half hour ago, so if you can find what you're lookin' for quick enough we should be alright." he said. He made a gesture for them to follow him as he navigated the road back to Kakariko, evading the pit traps he had committed to memory so they could follow and not fall into one of them. He had no idea what a 'guitar' was but with luck it could be found before anyone else tried to come to Kakariko.OOC: I didn't ignore your post Balta, I am just assuming that you came in from a different road than the one we're using.
  2. OOC: For some reason, your description of his glove makes me think he's wearing an Imperial TIE fighter getup.IC: [Exemplar at the Tiltrotor landing]The dull 'thwump twump twump'of the tiltrotor's wings beating the air caught Bobby's attention. He looked up and saw the vehicle flying swiftly in from the horizon. In seconds it was moving into a landing position. Bobby lifted his hand to cover his face a bit from the air as it whipped dirt and dust and small stones about. His costume may have covered him from head to toe, but the fabric was not armor. It was simply a highly flexible and highly breathable material that kept his identity hidden. Other than that, it protected him from nothing. The engines came to a stop eventually and a man appeared. He introduced himself to Bobby and the teen shook the man's hand. "Aye, I'm Exemplar," he said to Hale, "Good to meet ya." He looked at the Tiltrotor then back to Hale, "So, I suppose you'll be taking me to the ice box?" he asked as he walked around the taller man and made his way to the vehicle.
  3. OOC: Thats fine Rahl =)Twas my pleasure Kraagh. I can't say more than a few hours in-game time has passed. At least, for Exemplar no more than a few hours has passed. And sorry but I can't read your next post: Its late here and I'm very tired so I'm just going to post and go to bed.IC: [Exemplar]Bobby listened to Modem talk about the fight and quickly grew bored. He had no care at all about her bets or Pyroclast. He was nodding his head 'politely' as he had learned to do whenever people droned on and on about their lives when he had absolutely no care what-so-ever. But she sent a super-helicopter-thingy so he was grateful. And it would come with a pilot!"Thankya much," Bobby replied, shutting off his communicator and slipping it back in his pocket. Ten to fifteen minutes he thought, What could I do... he tried to think of something to entertain himself for a few mintues then decided to just pull his communicator back out and start looking for any new apps to download.
  4. IC: [Glork at Kakariko]"Aye," Glork said. The second person had been riding behind Algernon and Glork had not spotted her initially because he was more focused on making sure Algernon did not gallop into a pit trap. "I got all of the roads into Kakariko dug up with pitfalls to stop any Knights from coming in." He handed Algernon and Lealna the maps he had made. "If one of you can take those back to the Army, they can use them to get around the traps without getting hurt. I can show you two through myself, but I don't really want to be ferrying people back and forth along the roads."
  5. IC: [Exemplar]Bobby was glad that someone was going to come supervise him. Well, he wasn't glad about the supervision, but backup was always nice. He could cause some chaos when needed, but otherwise he was pretty harmless to most superhero type people. "Oh, erm, I'm about two hundred feet north of the Superbeing Smackdown tornament entrance." He looked up at the sun then said "Make that East...give or take." he corrected himself.OOC:Will I beinteracting with other player characters on this assignment? Or will it be all NPC work?
  6. IC: [Glork in Kakariko]The rendevous time was approaching. Glork was now well aquainted with the town. His tour, courtesy of one of the native children who thought Gorons were 'cute nice lizard men' had given him a good layout of the town as well as the names of each homeowner and where their home was. He had been able to purchase some paper and ink with the funds the Army of Darkness had provided him for this task and now he had drawn up a dozen maps of the town. They were rather crude, but they were better than not knowing the layout at all.Maps folded neatly under his arm, Glork walked back up one of the roads he had boobytrapped. The rendevous spot was closer to the village, but the pitfalls and wire traps were improvised by him so he wanted to catch the Army and any potential early arrivals. He spotted a horse and a familiar face approaching fast. He didn't know Algernon personally, but he had seen him numerous times and knew he was part of the Army. Glork ran af ast as he could. He couldn't roll courtesy of needing to preserve the integrity of the maps, but he was able to zig-zag around his pittraps and wave his harms."Stop!" he yelled at Algernon, hoping the horseman wouldn't just run past him to his death.
  7. IC: [Exemplar]If Bobby had a nickle for everytime someone decided his jokes weren't funny he'd be a pretty well-to-do teenager. As it was, there was currently no magical nickle fairy that appeared to give him the change owed to him. That was a pity. Actually, that would be a pretty neat power: able to turn sarcasm and poor humor into money. He could go to office parties and make a fortune!Shaking his head as Modem spoke, Bobby spoke up his negative answer. "Nope, sorry, I don't have a tiltawhirl. Can you send one...with a pilot also?" He asked in addition. "I'd like to give one of them a whirl, but I don't wanna crash in the middle of America's dandriff problem, eh?"
  8. OOC:Currently I think I'm the only one in Kakariko. Nothing's going on as of yet, but my character has been setting a couple of traps on the road between Kakariko and Hyrule City and got a tour of the town so he could draw up simple maps with targets for the approaching Army of Darkness.
  9. IC: [Exemplar]Bobby listened to the woman from the Coalition eagerly. Omega Radiation! Epic! Anchorage Alaska! Wait...that wasn't quite so epic. That was cold. That was, like, super cold. He was sort of lost when she went over the radiation levels and their lack of understanding of his power. He nodded a bit mostly out of reactioin and not for her benefit."Okay," he said slowly. "So I go to the refridgerator-in-the-garage of America," he started to relay what he understood back to her, using a term he'd heard from a standup comedian to describe Alaska, "Find this Chris Drimroll kid, talk to him, kick some League butt, and if need be Chris up in a sack. Two questions- where can I get my plane tickets and why can't you send Mr. Freeze or the Penguin?"
  10. "You would be correct Miss." Exemplar replied with a grin. Finally! He would get something to do. He would be able to prove himself to the Coalition and possibly get something cool. Like a sweet looking cape or some funny little sidekick. "I am currently not all that busy nor do I see anything in the immediate future that would prevent me from doing anything needing to be done." He neglected the history report due in three days but that was mostly because he didn't have any intentions of doing it anyway.
  11. IC: [Exemplar]Exemplar was young in body, mind, and heart. He was easily distracted and somewhat forgetful of little things. His interest ebbed and flowed like the tide, and patience- though not entirely missing- was not one of his greatest virtues. The fights of the Superbeing Smackdown tournament were dragging on and on as the relentless dance of who-is-better-than-whom lasted longer than the boy had expected. Already he had forgotten what slot he was in for the match lineup, but even if he was next he was not sure if he would bother to hang around much longer. The subtle buzz of the communicator in his pocket got his attention a moment before the loud tones of Mmmbop reached his ears. Had he not been hanging over the noisy crowd watching the even noisier combatants tear the tournament stage to rubble, it would have sounded much louder and clearer. As it was, Exemplar could hardly hear the lyrics until he lifted the device up to see who was contacting him. Of course it was someone from the coalition; this was his coalition communicator.Dropping down from his upside-down perch on the lighting mounts, Exemplar was caught by one of his clones on the ground and assisted to standing upright again. He pressed the button that would alert whomever was on the other side that hew as currently unable to speak but if they would hold for a few more seconds he would relocate to a more secure area. Normally this was used for the event that the person being contacted could escape a situation involving their real world idendity, but Exemplar now used it to get away from the too-loud crowd so that he may actually be heard.Once he was outside of the arena and in an area far more suited for combat, he lifted the device to his ear and pressed the button that would connect him to whomever needed him."Ello?" he asked in a mock-british accent. He had picked up the trait by watching a british sitcom and had started answering his phone and communicator thusly for the past few weeks.
  12. OOC:UHm...since I'm not an overwhelming fan of retconning, having me summoned would be better =)
  13. OOC:I made a Goron Army of Darkness character who is currently getting the layout of Kakariko Village. You can come join me if you have an AoD character =)
  14. OOC: You could join me in doing something. I'm kinda just 'watching' the Superbeing Smackdown competition and waiting for the current round to end so I can do something. I'm fine with retconning my actions to pretend they never happened if you wanna join me in something else.
  15. OOC: This may or may not be my last post until I notice someone else come to Kakariko =pIC: [Glork in Kakariko Village]Glork was unsurprisingly welcome in the village after the sun was up. Gorons in general were a well liked species. The scars gave him some pity and an excuse for his glowering attitude. A little girl opted to give him a tour after offering him lunch. Glork had graciously accepted the warm meal and was escorted to her home. Her father had known Gorons some years ago. Fortunately it was a different clan than he had left, so there was no need for "Do you know blank? I remember blank, he was always so funny".After lunch the little girl showed him around the village and he looked around with interest, asking her questions about who lived in this house or that house, why was this one bigger, who lived in that fancy house across the street and she was more than happy to tell him everything he needed to know. It was all rather easy to memorize since he ignored the nonessentials, such as the average commoners and where they lived. The Mayor's house had been important, as were the stores, and the general layout of the streets. After his tour he would sneak away to draw up the map on some paper.
  16. Actually Kraggh, xkcd has graphed how bad the holiday special is compared to 'so bad its good' movies.
  17. OOC: Yay! I'm not the newest member to this RPG =) Also, fantastic post Kraggh. I loved the big words Ivan used with the kindergardeners xD I am skeptical of Icarus's question and the four year old's use of the word 'Technology' but then again I'm playing a teenage urban crawler who can make clones of himself instantaneously, so what right have I to be skeptical? Haha~<3IC: [Exemplar at Superpower Smackdown]Bobby was hanging upside down from a light mounting fixture. He had slid his legs through the cross bars that the lamps were bolted to and locked his ankles into the I-beams of the overall structure. The result was that, other than a mild discomfort on his shins, he had no effort exerted in keeping himself aloft. One of his clones had mimicked him and the other was still on the ground. The ground clone's arms were crossed across his chest while he leaned against the wall, obviously angry. He had been the bottom clone as Bobby and the other clone climbed up in a human-ladder type design to grab the lowest possible grip. From there, Bobby had lifted himself to a more stable position by spreading his legs and using the pressure of his two knees between a pair of beams to hold himself while he pulled the clone up. The third clone was left behind to watch as Bobby and the lucky one shimied- not unlike monkeys- to their current position.Seeing the fight over the heads of the crowd was a much more enjoyable experience, but after being still for about a minute Bobby was getting restless again. He wanted to jump into the arena and join the fray. Why shouldn't I? Is it against the rules? Bloody heck, most of everyone here is a villain. I recognize half the local population. We break laws and rules for a living he thought to himself. In the end, he decided not to involve himself prematurely.
  18. OOC: Y'all went nuts today xDIC: [Glork outside Kakariko Village]Glork was up with the sun the following morning. There was more work to be done and he had no time for genuine rest. That woudl come when this mission was complete. He filled in the hole he had slept in and made it look as natural as he could before rolling out towards the road that led from Kakariko to Hyrule Castle City. That would be the most direct route for any assistance to come from. Glork was going to dig pit traps and set up some tripwire traps along the road to make it...hazardous. Either it would eliminate any Hyrule Knights who came snooping, delay messages being sent, or in the event it was avoided because a paranoid enemy thought that there would be traps on the direct path, then at least any help would be delayed courtesy of paranoia.Setting up the pit traps was the easiest. Glork was a Goron. He could dig his way through a mountain; digging in a dirt road was pitifully easy. He scooped the dirt out with his bare hands and in an hour he had three large ovular pits that spread along the road at different spots, making any straight line down the road impossible. The bottom of each pit was filled with wooden spikes. Well, not so much 'spikes' as semi-thick saplings he found in the nearby forest that were broken in half to have jagged tops that gravity would turn into spikes. The top of each pit was covered with thin branches, leaves, and dirt to blend in. Individuals may pass by, but two or more people- or heavily armored individuals- would not fare so well. The pit traps took longer than anticipated so Glork had to give up on trying anything with trip lines. He needed to return to the village and start mapping it out for the Army. Curling up, he rolled back into the forest.
  19. OOC: Lol at the Mewtwo psychic Mastermind.Thank you for the rundown Kumata <3 Exemplar could enter alone and still be a team of 2 to 5 ^.^ I think I would certainly be interested in trying to fight someone.IC: [Exemplar at Superbeing Smackdown]Bobby really wasn't the patient sort of person. He liked to keep moving and go with the flow. Right now the flow involved standing around watching a group of people fighting. That was boring. Bobby wanted to be in the ring. He wanted to fight! He wondered if starting a fight out in the audience would be a bad idea and decided that it would; he could only hold his own against one or two people at any given time. If he ###### off too many people he was likely to get his rear handed to him on a sterling silver platter. That did not appeal to him. When in doubt: Climb. That was more or less his motto in life. Experienced at parkour and various forms of urban crawling, Bobby loved to climb around new areas. Being in this subterranean arena for the first time, there were ample places for him to climb. Bobby led his two other selves back through the crowd towards the outer wall of the large chamber they were in to find something upon which to grab a hold and start his ascension.
  20. Very busy. A couple of giffs, his name, a sweet picture of Kopaka, his own epics and a review topic. some brickshelf and his current rank, methinks.
  21. OOC: Oooh, that sounds perfect. Thanks Half-Dragon =DTo anyone- good or bad- at the tournament thingy, I'll be there so feel free to scoop me up in some form of interaction ^.^;IC:Bobby absolutely loved his black one-piece bodysuit that heralded in his false persona of Exemplar, the master criminal extrordinare! Well, not really, but it was a great way to pick up cute sidekicks. There were plenty of sidekicks present for the tournament also. Few of them would likely compete, but Bobby didn't really want the fighters anyway.Snapping his fingers, two more Exemplar's appeared, one flanking him on either side. The trio was able to more easily wedge its way through the thick crowds of fighters, wanna-be villains, and spectators as he searched for someone he knew.
  22. OOC: I just mean like they're easier to break. One clone will almost have to be killed to be gotten rid of, but one of a thousand will just need half-fast punch to the knee to make them vanish.Chronicler of Ko-Koro? I saw him in the online list. I commented on his profile cuz I loved his avatar <3
  23. I love your avatar
