  1. Sir Cerago's profile has finally been finished.
  2. Name: Marillion 'The Mute'Gender: MaleFaction: NeutralSpecies: Po-MatoranElement: He utilizes air, because he finds it easier to communicate with others through it.Preferred Weapons/Tools: He plays the harp.Appearance: Actually a handsome fellow, Marillion is one of the taller Matoran, with broad shoulders and a big chest. His hands are rough enough to tell that he hasn't just been playing an instrument his entire life. He wears the color of a Po-Matoran, mixing brown and yellow with each another; his powerless Huna is also brown. Bio: Originally an adamant supporter of the war effort, Marillion fought for Po-Koro. Back then, he was known as Marillion 'The Brave'. All of that changed when in a battle with Ta-Koro, the Matoran was captured by enemy forces. Tortured by them, Marillion refused to give them any information on the Po-Koro war tactics. In anger, the sadistic men who had captured him, forcibly removed his tongue, knowing that it was the most prized thing to a man. Eventually, he was freed, but it was too late. Marillion had lost an important part of himself. He soon became disgusted with war after what happened to him. He wanted to escape from the fighting, but the forces of Dissonance where not for him. Now he simply travels around the island, occasionally playing a sad song in a tavern. Gruff and anti-social, Marillion can be incredibly hard to connect with and it's nearly impossible to get him to laugh. There is nothing funny in the cruel world to him. Name: HeimoGender: MaleFaction: Ta-KoroSpecies: Toa of FireElement: FirePreferred Weapons/Tools: He utilizes a very strange sword which he has nicknamed, 'Whistle'. Whistle is also a instrument at the same time. When it clashes againt another sword or is lightly tapped on the surface, it creates a small ringing vibration. With this, Heimo can create music through sequences of taps or slashes. The ringing can also be incredibly painful or soothing, depending on his intentions.Appearance: He has a grim appearance, especially for a Toa. Heimo stands at an impressive height, towering over even other Toa. He is completly decked in armor, strange black swirls painted on it in an unpredictable pattern. His Faxon is the same, colored red, but with black facial tattoos on it. To complete this look, Heimo wears a black cape over his shoulders. Bio: A Toa before the war started, Heimo is particularly attached to his village of Ta-Koro. Wherever they stand, he'll support them. Years before though, Heimo had lost his entire family to the war. His beautiful wife and two children were mercilessly slain by the people of an enemy village. Heimo has never been truly the same, although he desperately tries to get back his memories of them, by singing their favorite songs. Noble and brooding, Heimo at least knows where his loyalties stand at the end of the day...I had one more character, but I'll hold off on her for a while.
  3. I'm very dissapointed that the Horde Out of Limbo didn't get in and I hope that the GM won't give up on the idea.I still want to congradulate the victors, though. As a newb, I'll try and join all three.
  4. I only have two, currently. One who hasn't been introduced yet, either.Anyway, can anyone update me on the situation in Ta-Koro? I was attending to personal matters which is why I haven't been very active here. It'd be very helpful though if someone could tell me if Bert is still in the same place or not.
  5. IC: BertBert shook his head side to side and handed the other Matoran his launcher back. He didn't trust him at all with the weapon, but he doubted he try to make another attempt at his life in front of all these citizens. "More like you were preparing to shoot a member of the Ta-Koro Guard... Regardless of what you say, I'd like to take you in for questioning..."
  6. I'm a first time voter, so this should be fun. :)I'm going with The Horde out of Limbo, Day Run, and the Island of Pain.
  7. IC: BertBert stared down at the weapon and took it from Bahkui's hand. "Hngh." He grunted, feeling the cold metal in his hand. if he hadn't moved in time, this weapon would've probably killed him and this murderous scum would be allowed to run free in the city. "Why is it loaded? This is a safe city, afterall." He told Bahkui.
  8. IC: BertBert turned to the Matoran, who he could at least see eye to eye with. It was actually much better then having to look up at the tower that was Demas. Bert could see in the Matoran's eyes that he was clearly lying, although that didn't matter. He had afterall seen the Matoran pull his disk launcher out and aim in Bert's direction. This was more then enough to take him in for questioning, which Bert was preparing to do. "Don't play stupid." He growled once more. "Show me your disk launcher, civilian." He commanded.
  9. IC: BertThe stout Matoran looked up at Demas and scoffed. Demas raised an eyebrow, "Excuse me?"Bert's shoulders slumped as he eyed the two, "My duty is to protect this city. I have no problem with guests as long as they behave in my city. Harassing Matoran or preparing to shoot a honored memeber of the Ta-Koro guard isn't considered good behavior, by the way..."
  10. A lot of hate in this thread which suprised me, but I also know that when a series is more popular, it has a habit of attracting haters. Not trying to call anyone out, I'm just saying that popularity has probably overhyped it for a lot of people who will point out the flaws more quickly.I've read only the first book so I can't comment on much, but from what I've read, it's actually pretty good. Someone pointed out that it had no chance of happening, I find that ridiculous. It is afterall fiction and 90% percent of fiction has no chance of happening either. As for the fashion, I never really felt that it overshadowed the plot. Instead, it showcased how ridiculous the Capitol people are, showing such vanivty over looks and outfits. One thing I'd like to say that I don't care for in the book is the names... It seems odd, but to me, I see no reason on why people should have these weird, wacky names when it's set in a future Earth-setting. Even if North America is long gone, I doubt the people are going to start coming up with random names.
  11. IC: BertBert eyed the Onu-Matoran carefully. He was especially careful around him because of the little incident where he was prepared to shoot him with a disk launcher. "You are... guest in this city." He told the Onu-Matoran and his eyes notice something particularly interesting, there was a sword strapped to his back. Bert crossed his arms and let out a small grunt, to let these two know that he planned on standing his ground. Especially since he saw the sword for Bert himself was a skilled swordsman, like most other members of the Ta-Koro guard. He was confident that if push came to shove, he could handle the Matoran. It was the Toa that he truly worried about, he thought as his eyes looked Demas up and down.
  12. IC: Bert Minutes later after firing the slingshot, Bert was already in the crowd, hidden from sight he thought. However, the Toa managed to find with him apparent ease. Bert didn't panick though. This was his city, he had the advantage over this stranger. Bert looked up at the tall Toa of Magnetism and responds, "Hngh, there won't be any problems if you don't start any..."
  13. IC: BertThe small Matoran simply frowned when he saw the strange behavior the Toa was displaying. It was off-putting and in Bert's eyes, it made him a threat to his city. He apparently had already started trouble, harassing a small Matoran. Now Bert would normally stand up for the little guy, but not this time, especially since the Onu-Matoran slowly revealed a disk launcher which he started to aim at Bert. Most wouldn't have noticed it, but Bert had been a member of the Ta-Koro guard for quite sometime. His eyes were tuned to notice the smallest things. Bert simply turned his head, to act as if he wasn't truly following them, but instead, the Matoran was preparing a counteract, in case this troublemaker was brave enough to attack a member of the guild. He slid a slingshot out of his armor and into his hand. He then loaded it one of the rocks he normally kept on it. Now, not on any day was a slingshot equal to a disk launcher, which was why Bert decided to play it smart. He aimed the slingshot, not at the Onu-Matoran, but what was above him. A pot, filled with plants sat on the balcony to one of the apartments on the street and that was what Bert shot at. The rock moved at incredible speed, whizzing above and striking the pot which caused it to fall over and towards the Onu-Matoran. While he doubts it would actually harm him, Bert could use the moment to slide away into the crowd and wait for the next opportunity to strike.
  14. IC: Bert"Not many visitors, today." Bert told the other guardsman on the wall who simply responded with an, "Aye." showing that he agreed with Bert. Bert gave the man a distasteful glance though when he saw the bottle of alcholol in his hand. The guard had been drinking and although he was still perceptive, Bert worried about this. If one of the Makuta's agents were to attack, Bert would most likely be the only one of the sentries to actually be battle-ready. He said nothing though, but the frown on his face spoke the words he was thinking. It was then that a Toa, his armor like that of the... magnetism tribe, walked towards the gate. Bert's eyes immediately started to scan him, while his fellow guardsman simply burped and said, "Go ahead and let him in. We need all the Toa that we can handle right now..." He muttered, taking another swig. Bert would've argued, but he found nothing on the Toa that was particularly dangerous. He still hesitated for there was something about this Toa that seemed... off. Bert shook his head though, "Open the gates." He told his comrade, who lazily pulled a switch and allowed the Toa to enter.Bert then turned and started to walk off. The other guardsman's eyes widened, "Where ya' goin' Bert?"Bert gave the other man a stern look and says, "I'm going down to the city. I feel uneasy about this Toa..." He said simply, patting his gut. As he walked down the staircase, Bert bumped into another guard. "I'm taking a quick break. Need you to cover me at Sentry duty for at least an hour. The other guardsman on duty has been drinking." He told the guard quickly. The man nodded and hurried up the staircase. Bert smirked, no matter what, Jaller had trained the guardsmen like a army. They didn't question each other, they lend trust to their comrades, which is why Bert distrusted the new recruit that he'd been paired with. Bert eventually reached the city and so that the Toa wasn't far off and was moving through the crowded streets.Silently, he followed.
  15. Not without permission. If you want to play a custom species character, you have to PM a staff member (i.e. me) to have it approved. All right. I'll PM you when I get these limitations taken off.
  16. Since no one has spoken on it, I'm just going to assume that custom races are allowed?
  17. I was a old lurker. Needed a place to RP and notice the BZPRPG, so I came and finally joined.
  18. I want to write, but at the same time, I somewhat nervous about it. I honestly don't know if I could get the story published that's in my head, right now. Basically it's about a young woman living in an underground society after they were forced underground by Dragons. She then goes to the surface one day on a mission to retrieve food and somehow, she manages to kill the dragon after a long battle. This makes her a hero to the society and a symbol. Soon news of a rebellion is brewing against the dragons, but the woman wants nothing to do with it. She just wants to protect her five-year old son. But the dragons will not simply bygones by bygones and plan on punishing the humans further because of her actions. It's basically a fantasy-type story, set in a world where all of the kingdoms and empires got wiped out by the dragons. The surviving humans then fled deep underground where they would be safe...
  19. Can anyone tell me what is happening in Ta-Koro that a Matoran guardsman could get involved in? There was mention of a evil ice Toa destroying hospitals or something, but I'm pretty sure that has passed. Also, what are the rules on player-created races?
  20. IC: (Ta-Koro)"I'm done for the day, Bert. You sure you don't want to switch out with anyone? Looks like you could... use the rest." Two of the famed Ta-Koro guards stood there, decked in their armor. They were currently at an outpost, watching for any signs of trouble. In times like these, trouble seemed to be on everyone's doorsteps. Mata-Nui was in a state of panic due to the Makuta attacks, along with rumours of ghostly ice ghouls rising in Ko-Wahi or men being murdered in their sleep every day. Needless to say, the outpost was more important than any other position in the Guard. The position was perfect as well. Placed in front of the city and above the gates, a guardsman could peer down below to see of the city's visitors. Most of the people who entered Ta-Koro were simply merchants or travelers, but occasionally there'd bwe those who came to the city with sinister intentions. All of this made the Ta-Koro guard a very draining and stressing job, which was why they needed their rest.Bert simply turned to his friend and shook his head slowly. "No. I have to keep watch." He told him simply and then quickly as ever, the guardsman turned his head back in the direction that it had stared at for hours. It was like he was a robot, a robotic guard that needed not sleep or eat.The other guardsman sighed and simply nodded, walking away. There was a time when he'd tried to persuade Bert, but he longed given up on that effort. He considered Bert a friend, and more importantly, a comrade, but there was seemingly no way of getting through that thick skull of his. So with that, he went down the flight of stairs, but his body betrayed him and he glanced back at Bert. Shaking his head in frustration, he continued down the stairs.Bert crossed his arms once the other man was gone. One man's needs were not above the rest of the cities. Instead, Bert had pushed himself to his limit in the tireless effort of defending Ta-Koro. It had taken him sometime to get to this position, but through sweat and tears he had made it. Most men his size wouldn't even dream of doing such a thing, but Bert was a man who believed in duty. "I will continue to watch." He muttered solemnly.
  21. Wrong topic man. You're looking for the Profiles topic.Oh, okay.I went ahead and posted it to the profiles page. Hopefully, the post will get approved soon.
  22. Apparently this is where we post the profiles. I was unsure if we had to go through approval or anything like that-Name: Species: Gender: Alignment: Powers/Abilities: Village: Mask: Weapons: Appearance: Weaknesses: Story: Personality: Name: Aria HallmasterSpecies: Toa of FireGender: FemaleAlignment: Neutral GoodPowers/Abilities: As expected, Aria has a great amount of control over her element. She can proudly transform fire into various shapes such as beasts or weapons and then manipulate them to attack. Her physical abilities aren't below par either. She's very quick and is an excellent swordsman. Few that she has dueled with have ever actually beaten her. Village: Ta-KoroMask: Pakari (Mask of Strength)Weapons: In battle, she wields a sword and shield, with great expertise. Her sword in particular is long and thin, but very sharp. The blade is silver, made from normal metal by blacksmiths in Ta-Koro. Her shield is made from the same metal. It's shaped like an octagon, colored red entirely. On the center of the shield is her family crest; a golden phoenix. She can imbue both of her weapons with her element, turning the sword into a flaming weapon of justice and her shield into a devastating catapault that launches fireballs at her enemies. Appearance: A tall beauty and at the same time, a true warrior, Aria is a regal-looking woman who carries herself in a manner befitting. She wears gold and red armor, all of it shining and not a single scratch from any weapon. Her armor consists of plates, arranged to showcase her curves. Combined with long legs, she looks like a truly elegant person. Her Pakari is shaped like that of an Artakha Hau, for whatever reason that is. Finally, on her right breast plate, the smybol of her family has been pinned. The golden phoenix burns brightly whenever she activates her fire element.Weaknesses: She'll often finder herself overpowered by large group of foes, but her most crucial weakness is the fact that she's limited in close quarters. Her element is explosive, not meant to be confined in small spaces. This is why Aria attempts to avoid them as much as possible, along with anyone who can utilize the water element; else her flames will be useless or overpowered.Story: Aria comes from the Hallmaster family, a group who has served the Ta-Koro Guard loyally since it's foundation. They also had a habit of dying quick deaths. The line continued into Aria's father. Her father was disappointed to have a female child since only men normally served in the Ta-Koro guard. He loved his daughter nonetheless, though. This was why it was so tearful when he died after a Rahi attack on the village. Aria's mother died shortly after, dying in the dark days. Aria was left alone in the world, but she was determined to follow her father's path. She attempted to join the Ta-Koro Guard, but was swiftly turned down, not because of gender, but out of pity. No one wanted to see this girl die, like her father did. Aria never stopped trying, though. She trained for years to become an excellent swordswoman in her own right. She alone would carry the Hallmaster name, never intending to take on a husband. It was then when the Toa Mata disappeared and that Mata-Nui became thrown into chaos that Aria found herself thrust into the role of a Toa. The Toa stone that transformed her gifted her with power that no one would imagine. Aria now could protect Ta-Koro, like her father did, but in her own way. Aria acts as a vigilante, keeping criminals off the street. While this seems good, Aria is ambitious and desires to establish a 'League' for people like her, who're adamant about protecting the island. Personality: Respectful and a powerful woman, Aria is very classy. She is never truly rude or angry, instead, keeping a calm facade in action, even when everything is going to all ######. Aria isn't arrogant, though. She does her best to connect with the people she is trying to save. Aria is very kind and doesn't like being addressed as some kind of hero. She's incredibly humble, constantly reminding others that she's simply doing her job as a Toa. Loyal to Ta-Koro and its ideals, by extension, she is also loyal to Mata-Nui...Name: Sir CeragoSpecies: Toa of IronGender: MaleAlignment: Chaotic GoodPowers/Abilities: Elemental control over iron, along with all other metals. He mostly uses his powers to create impressive structures or strengthen his weapons. By utilizing his Calix, Cerago can do seemingly the impossible. To everyone else, it appears to be a dumb fool's luck.Village: Not from any village, per say. He owns land that is in Po-Wahi, though.Mask: Calix (Mask of Fate)Weapons: Cerago uses the weaponry of a true Knight. A powerful sword and lance combination that he attacks with. Suprisingly, Cerago moves incredibly quick, even with his armor and weapons weighting him down. He then strikes with impressive speed. Appearance: Despite his wealth, Cerago is about skinny as a tooth-pick. One could see his ribs, if he had any. Combined with his tall frame, Cerago appears to be even more gaunt and thin then he actually is. To cover this up, Cerago wears a lot of armour. The result is a skinny person whose large armor, bounces and jostles every time he takes a step. Basically, he looks very goofy in his armor, which is stylized after the Knights of Matoran legend. Even his Kanohi is crafted in the shape of a helm, with a feather on the top. His eyes are a cold blue. The colors that he wears aren't bright or eye-catching, being a dull grey. Since a Knight normally requires a emblem of sorts, Cerago went and carved a rough map of the land that he owns on his chest. Weaknesses: While he is quick, Cerago is weak both physically and mentally. He can barely lift anything due to his size and some say he might have a mental disorder. It is impossible to tell since sometimes Cerago actually spouts the truth. Nonetheless, the Toa does occassionally have serious hallucinations which endanger himself and others around him.Story: A lazy slacker of a son, Cerago was born to a hard working Fe-Matoran father. His mother had died giving childbirth and the only thing he had was his father. His father worked extremely hard, wanting a good future for his son. He even acquired land eventually, although it wasn't hardly impressive in size. A small estate that Cerago would inherit when his father left the world. Not to long after that, he succumbed to death, probably due to stressing his heart. Cerago was left to take care of the estate and the few people, his father's servants and workers, who lived there. They found Cerago to be spoiled and he wasted his inheritance on childhood dreams like becoming a Toa. He allowed the estate and the land he owned to fall into disarray. Soon, only the most loyal workers remained and the estate was falling apart. Cerago didn't actually care either. He would starve, but he was so obsessed with his dream that hunger seemed to be something he could ignore. Then one day, while digging around in his land, he discovered it. A Toa stone that would give him the power to accomplish his dream. Suprisingly, upon touching it, Cerago was actually transformed into the mighty hero that he had wanted to become. Immediately, Cerago left for a quest to defeat the Makuta, leaving the estate into the hands of his only caretaker. Personality: The biggest fool on the island, Cerago is well-known for his stupidity. He often babbles on about things that make no sense to the sane ears that hear them or he dreams of the most impossible things. At the same time, Cerago is well-read and charismatic. Through determination, Cerago can seemingly convince anyone that he's actually the hero that he talks about. Name: Bael Species: Toa of StoneAlignment: True NeutralPowers/Abilities: General control over stone and rock, nothing really impressive. Notably, Bael is somewhat skilled in crafting various structures from stone due to his experience as a carver. Notably, the Toa is incredibly quick, both on his feet and with a knife. Village: Like Cerago, Bael owns a small strip of land that is located in Po-Wahi. Mask: Mask of X-Ray Vision (Akaku)Weapons: A master with knives and other small, but sharp objects, Bael normally keeps about ten knives on him, hidden in various places. One could consider him paranoid, but a man with his amount of power has to constantly be on his guard in his opinion. Gender: Male Appearance: Handsome, but not the stereotypical image of the brave, broad-shouldered Toa of legend. Instead, Bael casts off a charismatic exterior. He’s lean and wiry, with golden and brown armor to match. Over this, Bael wears a dusty sand-brown tunic. Somewhat resembles a sleazy politician, but he’s nothing like that. His Kanohi is a brown Akaku, the scope included. He wears a ring on every finger, with a expensive stone in each. Weaknesses: Bael isn’t particularly strong at all. Strength isn’t his forte and he’s not really much of a fighter, either. Instead, he simply knows how to defend himself when he is forced into the situation. Story: Originally, a poor starving Po-Matoran artist who went by an entirely different name. Bael spent years clamoring to the top, but he eventually got his break when he challenged another Matoran for land in Po-Wahi. Bael won, but only because the other man mysteriously died the day of the duel. People investigated, but they could find no dirt on Bael. Bael won over the land and he turned it into a farm. The food that the farm produced made him filthy rich and he no longer had to sell his art to make a living. Eventually, he became a Toa, after the Mata disappeared from the island. To this day, Bael still wants to become richer and richer. He will not stop chasing the goal until he is literally at the top of the world. Personality: Skilled in lying and getting away with it, Bael is a manipulative man. His words always have a different meaning to them. At the same time, he is a man of exquisite taste, something that he shows off with the manner of clothing he wears. As mentioned in his back story, Bael is very ambitious. No matter how many clothes or money he has, Bael still wants more. He’ll sacrifice anything to reach the top as well. Strangely, Bael still has one interest. He is an artist and continues to make sculptures in his spare time.
  23. Is this contest open to anyone? I'm new here, but I've RPed before so I was wondering if I could submit one of my ideas?
