IC: KryzaThe Toa or Fire was apparently quite weak-willed, as he promptly fainted as soon as Kryza began yelling. Then Kryza noticed that the new Toa of Lightning was telling him something about how he should change his interrogation methods. "Whatever," he growled. "Mezra gets angry if you don't immediately neutralize - whether permanently or non-permanently - any uninvited visitors in the bank. If you would like to be the one to take the blame, be my guest." Kryza slung the toa over his shoulder as easily as if he weighed an ounce. "We don't have an official cell, but one of the vaults should do for now. They aren't airtight, so he should be able to breathe. We can question him when he wakes up." He began to walk down the stairs, not waiting for an answer.

IC: KryzaKryza's view of the world was a simple one. Smash whatever he was told to. And he had just been told to smash whoever was at the top of the stairs. So he was going to.When he got up there, he found a scrawny Toa of Fire pleading with Mezra's new hired help. Kryza didn't have time for whinings. He grabbed the toa by the throat and slammed him against the wall."Why are you here? Who are you? Who sent you? Answer me!"

IC: CevnixCevnix was busy working out the finer points of an interesting theory for a "computer" which had been proposed by one of her colleagues. It was interesting and certainly possible, she thought, to make a machine that used many logic gates to solve problems. But she was startled out of her thoughts by the sound of the secret door opening."Quick!" she yelled to the three assembled beings. "Get up there and find out who's there! Or Mezra'll have your armor!"

IC: Whenteuna"Well, one day I was part of a tribe, down in the southern islands. Real big one - about 350 people. Then one night I wake up to screams and smashing sounds. I look out my window and see a ton of Visorak murdering everyone in their path, and even some who aren't. So I had enough sense to run and hide, unlike most of the others. The Visorak destroyed everything. They weren't too organised though, because I slipped under their radar. I couldn't find any survivors, so I found this staff and headed out into the world. I made my way to Mata Nui and helped make this place happen, along with Mezra."

IC: WhentenuaWhentenua was a little confused about the recent turn of events. As far as he knew, Mezra was going to buy drinks. But he wasn't too worried. He noticed that the new recruit was talking to him. And he seemed to be a bit nervous. "Oh, sorry. Ah, it's going pretty well. My name's Whentenua. Don't worry, I have a brain. Unlike-" he glanced at his companion "-some people here. But anyway. Mezra runs this whole place. He likes to inspect it about every hour. I have it under control though. Anyway...are there any tools you want? We have a few stored in these vaults."

IC: Mezra"Just ask the, uh...." Mezra trailed off as he remembered Solaris' response to Vortixx. "You know what, I'll do it." Mezra walked over to the black-armored Vortixx and whispered something in her ear. She nodded and pressed a pressure plate about the size of her fist, then there was a sliding sound as the metal bars which blocked access to the vault Solaris was standing in front of were retracted. The door swung open a tiny bit. "Put it in there," said Mezra. "You can examine it if you want. It locks automatically when you close the door. Now I really do have to get going, I'm sorry. Introduce yourself to these two." He indicated Whenteuna and Kryza. "They'll be your backup for now. See you in a few hours!"Mezra turned and ran up the staircase.

Out comes the death star.In goes the essence of a Makuta.

IC: Mezra"Alright," Mezra said. He put the tablet into a slot. There was a whooshing noise. "So. Now we begin. Give me a day or so to track down a target, and I'll send you there. You'll have backup, don't worry. And while I'm gone, Cevnix-" he indicated the black-armored Vortixx busy tinkering with a machine "-will be in charge. Get to know the other members, relax, hide that statue you stole in a vault. And if anyone comes down here trying to steal stuff, well...you know what to do. Any questions?"

IC: Mezra"Perfect, perfect," said Mezra, carving the stone rapidly. "Let's see... if captured by a bank robber and tortured, would you tell them how to get in? Be honest. I'm not going to fire you or anything."

IC: Mezra"No, no, no," Mezra laughed. "These guys are about as fierce as a gafna. But... don't tell them I said that. They might get angry.""Now then..." Mezra looked around. "Come over here. I'll have to make a record of your background, for reference." He pulled out a blank tablet and carving-stone. "So, how did you get to Mata Nui?"

IC: Mezra"Right, right," Mezra said, seeming a little distracted. He pressed on the side of the wall in a seemingly random place. Then he said, "Solaris, come on down. These guys don't bite." Mezra pushed open a heavy door at the bottom, and stepped in.

IC: Mezra"Well, thank you," Mezra said. "But I wasn't the one who designed this. I have some Vortixx technicians downstairs. They put this whole place together, but they were funded by me. Now, I'll show you how much protection we have down here."

IC: MezraAs soon as Solaris had stepped into the fireplace, a section of wall slid into the floor with a grinding sound. Behind it was a staircase. Mezra began to walk down it, and said, "Come on down, Solaris. Whentenua and Kryza - you two stand guard. Inside, though."

IC: Mezra"Oh yes, I forgot," Mezra said. "Come stand in this fire over here. Don't worry - it won't hurt at all."OOC: It's conspicuous because, like said in benluke's post, it's out of place compared to the other stone buildings.

IC: Mezra"Indeed," Mezra said. "I admit that it's a little conspicuous, but it serves the purpose. So, won't you come inside?" Mezra opened the door, which was unlocked, and stepped in.

IC: Mezra"Excellent. Now that you have made the choice, information will be revealed. Also-" Mezra undid the handcuffs. "-Here's what's going on. I have started an organization called the Nui Bank. This is shown on the surface to be an ordinary bank. But it is the bank of choice for people who have...well, let's just say that some of the stuff that gets deposited in here would warrant a life prison sentence, if not capital punishment, if one were caught possessing it. Ah. Here we are." Mezra stopped at the door of a mud and earth hut.OOC: The safe house is described in my character post.

IC: Mezra"Oh, I'm sorry," Mezra said. "Such an uncourteous host I am. I'm Mezra, Slightly Addled Matoran of Fire. No one has heard of me much, except for my friends. I hope to change that very soon, however. So, would you be open to working for me? You get to do plenty of stealing work...and some bashing of heads, if that's your thing."

IC: MezraMezra chuckled. "I am no more of a Ta-Koro guardsman than you are," he replied. "And I hope to be...your future employer. That was very nice work you did back at that market. And as for where I'm taking you, it's my base of operations."OOC: I haven't typed up a description of it yet. :3 It's the "safe house" mentioned in my character post.

IC: Mezra"Excellent," said Mezra. He motioned for his companions to take up positions at either side of the toa. Kryza took out some handcuffs and bound the toa with them. "Now, come with us," said Mezra. "We have a while to walk." He hen began to lead the group in exactly the opposite direction from the Ta-Koro guard house.

IC: MezraMezra smiled. Excellent, he thought. "Well, I wouldn't be your opponent. These two would." He gestured at Whentenua and Kryza, who had just stepped into view. "Or you can come with me. Don't worry, it's not a harsh sentence. I just need to take you for an hour."
