  1. Once a MOC that I swear I had partially disassembled turned up in the bottom of a parts bin, half rebuilt. The only other thing that I can think of is something that happens on occasion when I pose MOCs; they'll be facing in one direction, and I'll sit down to build. Then when I look up at the MOC, it will be facing towards me, with no explanation as far as I can see.

  2. Great idea, I'll be eager to see where it goes. I really like the Dirk minifig, it looks just like him. :PWill you be building Jack or Lord English at any point? I would imagine that they would have to be at least partially brickbuilt...

  3. That's... really awesome. I know what you were going for with the black arm, and it turned out fine, but I think that perhaps this could look even better were it to be more or less symmetrical. That aside, great job, I really like the use of the dark tan claws.

  4. Wow, I really like this a lot. You don't usually see people revamping Pohatu.
Wait, really? I've seen a lot of Pohatu revamps. Not on BZP necessarily, but wherever they are, Pohatu revamps they are nonetheless. (However, this is certainly a great one, Railblade.)
  5. Well, when I said complex, I specifically meant the torso design. Oftentimes Matoran torsos of this size that I see are, well, pretty poor. Anyways, I've built my own Taipu (along with Kopeke and Takua, but who cares) which I may upload soon. ;)

  6. so far can see that it's an awesome MOC< it'll be better if you could provide a full image which shows the whole MOC, not just parts of it, as i can't find any of those in the brickshelf gallery, anyway, i love how you do the left arm, really bulky, the legs are nice too, i'm not a fan of those mechanical limbs though because they didn't look really mechanical to me, maybe add some greebles and/or cables, tube or something might help.and I don't know why, but that torso armor made of 3 blue HF pieces actually works hereoverall, pretty great job, keep up the great work
That's strange, I thought there were full pics in the gallery... in any event there are full images on the MOCpage, though. I can see why you don't feel the mechanical quality of the arm and leg... I tried to add tubes and such but they ended up sticking out obnoxiously or just not connecting well, so I got rid of them. I guess I just see them as more mechanical when in direct contrast to the rest of the MOC.Glad you like the chest design, too. Thanks!
  7. The thighs are too thick and jumbled, and it might be nice if his feet were the same size. That's my only criticism. :P Everything else is fantastic, especially that mechanical arm.
Hmm, yes, I see what you mean. On my bulkier MOCs, I tend to just build and build, until I can't build anymore, or until I'm totally satisfied with the MOC.
  8. Quite a unique MOC! The colors and certain other aspects of the MOC remind me of the old Piraka Fusion monster. I like the legs, those are quite nice, as is the method of holding the Zamor sphere in the chest. Good work! :)

  9. Faltan, Toa of Earth, was once the second-in-command of a powerful Toa team. In fact, their strength was so great, that in a time of need for Mata Nui, they ventured to Voya Nui and down into the depths of Mount Valmai in order to retrieve the Mask of Life. They successfully evaded Umbra, passed through the Zone of Nightmares, and crossed the Lava Gate. But upon reaching the final chamber, they were confronted by the Mask's guardian, the predecessor to Vezon. His challenge was not one of battle, nor of wits, no- it was one of sacrifice. To enable his team to retreat unharmed with the mask, Faltan sacrificed to the entity all that it had asked- an arm and a leg. Acting swiftly, two of the team's Toa, of Iron and Magnetism, used replacements to heal him as best they could, creating robotic replacements for his lost limbs. That's about all of the backstory that's relevant, so I'll end it there. tounge2.gif

  10. You know, as much evidence as they've given to support that Stormer, Thresher, and the rest of Alpha 1 were some of the first heroes in existence, it really doesn't make much sense to me. It is possible that the Hero Factory itself has existed for a much shorter amount of time than has been implied. I also have the idea that while according to Thresher, they are the first active team, isn't it quite possible that before that point, there were lots of solo heroes out on mission? Just a thought.Oh, and all that said, I'd say that the first hero would either still be on missions (upgrades maintaining functionality), or working at the factory with some other job.

  11. Glad you like him, FF and Turtleman.Yes, Spinjitzu Master, you're right. I agree that he could have used more trans blue on the legs; there are sockets in the knees and ankles, but perhaps a few trans blue greebles and such would've looked good. Thanks for the feedback, guys. :)
