  1. IC. Haki

Haki sat alone on the beach, sharpening his cutlass against a rock. Well, not quite alone, he did have a cask of rum (which he seemed particularly fond of). He scanned the horizon for the sight of any sail, seeing none, He took another swig of rum and went back to his previous task. "Not like a sharp sword is gunna' keep ya' from gett'in starved ta death." He muttered to himself. It was then that Haki witnessed the greatest calamity in the history of the Matoran Universe. He blinked, turned away, and looked back. No, it was really true. Haki sat back, pondering how to deal with the emphatic and deathly truth. The rum was gone. It wasn't like he hadn't experienced this before, he had gone a fill three hours without the stuff in a jail cell, but at least his cell mate had had a box of cigars. This was different, he was stranded on a deserted island, God knows where, with not a sail in sight, and no rum. He used his wind powers and briefly created a swirling twister on the small sandy island. There, he had it, he must make a signal, something that can be seen for miles. He grinned as his sand twister grew taller and taller, now using his full energy, a massive sandy tower, hundreds of feet high swirled in the air. "That should bring somebody, and more importantly some rum!" He said to himself.

OOC. Anyone want to come rescue this poor alcoholic from a deserted island? (Especially if you have some rum!) :begging: :P

  2. The thing I love most about this move (well, I guess I can't say that for sure seeing as I havn't seen the movie yet) is the awesome mix of stop motion and CGI, it works so perfectly, I wish Ninjago was like that!

  3. I accidentally posted my profile in the other forum (GoM profiles), and since my copy and paste function isn't working for some reason I can't post it here. :/ So please approve it thanks :)

Let me know if I need to make any adjustments.

  4. Personally I don't think Mata-Nui would need a illusion to make it not look like a dome, think about out own sky, it is sort of like a dome, yet the sky looks flat to us (for you who haven't been outside, just do it for one second, its worth it :P)

Another sort of on topic question I've had, is how was it ever night in Metru Nui, and did Mata-Nui's eyes move, keeping the day from eternal noon? Did the light automatically shut off?

  5. Name. Haki Tiu

    Species. Toa, Air

    Gender. Male

appearance. Normal build, bit on the short side, green mixed with silver armor. Always has his cutlass at his side and tri-cornored hat on his head (I hope you don't mind him having clothing :))

    Kanohi. Calix. (Mask of Fate)

Powers. Normal Toa elemental powers, Mask of Fate.

Equipment. For weapons, Haki only carries a ordinary Protosteel cutlass. He also has a Tri-cornered hat which he values above almost anything. He also has a compass that points toward whatever he wants most (or so he thinks.)

Biography. Haki Tiu was once captain of a ship, the "Tiwha Peara." However, his crew mutinied and he was marooned on a tiny island in the middle of nowhere. He still vows to regain his precious peara and to sail the high seas again. (t is unknown why the, as a Toa, turned rogue.)

Ship (Formally, who knows, maybe in the story he will get it back ;))

Name. Tiwha Peara (look it up in the maori dictionary, as well as my characters name and then you will see what famous pirate I ripped off XD

Description. About 30 meters long, nothing of particular interest other than the fact that the sails, instead of being the green leaves, are black instead.

Arsenal. 5 Cordax cannons on each side, bamboo disc launcher in the crows nest. Loads of ammunition. (NOTE. The Cordax Cannons are basically Cordax blasters that fire much larger ammunition, but also much slower.

Special Modifications. Well, it has a life boat, a secret hiding spot in the captains bunk.

  6. I know it may seem really nerdy, but we all know about the Matoran Alphabet. The secret messages hidden throughout the bionicle games, (My Friend Went To Po-koro And All He Got Me Was This Lousy Rock ;)

So my question is, how many of you actually write/read in bionicle? And if so, how often. I'm sure that if you can still write bionicle you are ON THIS SITE :D

  7. Unfortunately I have no idea what the name of my favorite BIONICLE song is. It's an instrumental piece that's played, I believe, during the Le-Koro sequences of the Mata Nui online game. But that's about as specific as I can get. Don't ask me to write out the notes either because I'm musically illiterate.

To make up for that vague response, I'll also say that Creeping In My Soul is another song I always enjoyed.

The Le-Koro band or maybe a Walk in the Jungle?

  8. Depends on how you define "song". My favorite vocal song is probably the original Gravity Hurts or Face Me. My favorite no-vocals song is pretty much all the music in MNOG.

    ^

Vocal Gravity Hurts all the way,

    Non-Vocal, Vakama's Talk without a doubt.

  9. I new all that about the mental barrier, the difference between moral light and light light, etc. However, I hold that even though the beings from the element of shadow wouldn't be "evil", I think that bones point about the symbolic side of shadow would leave a "evil" connotation to the element of shadow. Because regardless of it all, shadow is always considered the "bad guys" and light the "good" guys. This being so, even if they decided to create a Kra element, I am sure that if they were "good", Then this would cause some confusion among participating fans, and probably the inhabitants of MU as well. Maybe I'm over-powering the connotations of shadow, but I'm sure that it would have some impact.

  10. Ok, maybe I wasn't specific enough, but I was trying to address the topic title by demonstrating how having Kra-Matoran would upset the balence of good/evil so that is why they weren't implemented.

(I know this isn't exactly the the current discussion is about but it still is my opinion on the subject, which is yes, Makuta have shadow powers)

  11. personally, I think that a natural element of shadow would have been a good move by the story team (just imagine a turaga of shadow O_O

However, I assume that the Makuta were considered enough to balance the pendulum of light and shadow, if their was a whole elemental tribe of shadow, would they be evil? I mean, shadow isn't necessarily corrupt at the start, so would these Matoran and Toa of Shadow be good, and if so that would be really weird, and if they were bad/allied with Makuta, then I believe that evil would be over powered in the story.

  12. Yes Damaracx there were a few of my Rahkshi mixing it up with some of the Toa, but then the Vahki came along and well, that put a stop to it. To bad I've been studying finals or else I'd be here :(

  13. OOC Zakar, I suppose my Dark Hunter Rahkshi could meet up with Ladriska, he needs someone to give him orders :D :P

Dang..its been a while since I last posted here.

    IC. Monorahk

Monorahk turned and left his two other Brother Rahkshi on the streets of Ko-Metru. Judging by the fact that they had quarreled on the short flight about whether or not these Toa were ordered by Turaga Dume to hunt them done...They were obviously stupid, although sentient. Besides, one rahkshi alone would cause attention from the Vahki. He needed to meet up with the nearest Dark Hunter agent...And repair his staff that that @#$% Toa broke.

  14. My personal headcanon is that Varian eventually was freed and sought out Norik, then joined the Toa Hagah. Similarly, I'd like to see Macku become a Toa and join the Toa Mahri (supposing they've been freed from Goldie's influence by then, of course).

It says on BS01 that the Marhi were freed eventually, this was confirmed by Farshtey.

  15. What do you think was the best year for Bionicle?

I think 2001, 'cause there was no extremely complex storyline; it was just the Matoran, Turaga, Toa and Rahi. I think the sets were the best, also. Each set had it's own creative function (for example, on the Toa Mata, if you turned a gear on their back, their arms would swing). Plus that was the year they focused the most on the Matoran. It wasn't just Toa this, Toa that like in all the rest of the years.

I too like the simplicity that was provided in the beginning story line in '01, I especially agree with your point about the extreme amount of focus that the Toa got in all the the other years, as has been said, you don't need to be a Toa of be a Hero.

However, I do like the Serials so I guess that makes it tough to choose. Maybe '01 because of the memories :inlove: :shrugs:
