150 ago today: Confederate States saboteurs raid St. Albans, Vermont in what is the northern most action of the Civil War. They rob the bank, get into a firefight with civilians, and escape across the Canadian boarder where they are arrested by the RCMP.

SARS, Swine Flu, West Nile, Mad Cow Disease, Ebola. I'm still waiting for that pandemic of Black Death proportions that the scaremongers keep predicting.

I saw "The Giver" today. It is moving, thought-provoking, and one of the better movies I've seen this year. I would recommend it.
