I tried a live RPG version the other day, with the Sonic Islanders warring against the Gravity Lords, Plantlife People, and Lightning Folk. Of course, once someone invented the gun it devolved into the Civil War with, "Give them the bayonet!" Becoming the phrase of the day and bending powers being largely forgotten. Gravity being the exception, cause gravity > bullets.
