There is a possibility that it was a mere easter egg, however given the fact that the animation was created when cell shading was still in use, and every camera angle of the scene had to be drawn differently, /and/ that the message appeared in multiple different angles, it's more likely that it was a deliberate reference instead of a throwaway joke.
And yes, stopping now @B6.

I'd love to agree with you, really I would. But there is evidence, specifically a reference in an old ducktales episode regarding said organisation.
-
Haha, very funny. []

LEGO has been associating with Disney since back when they still made wooden toys,
I know! [] But still, it saddens me to think that Lego of all companies might be involved in evil stuff.
What is it about Disney specifically that draws your ire, though? I mean, I know that they're a huge mega-corporation, but so are most of the other entertainment companies that LEGO has had licenses with, like Sony and Time Warner.
To my knowledge, none of those other companies have had ties with the illuminati. For all we know, Disney might even /be/ to illuminati, seeing how there isn't solid evidence of it in other companies.

Because Disney is beloved by millions of people around the world?
I know, it's just... I hate seeing a toy company I used to admire associate with them. []
-
Why, lego? [] Why? []

Woah, this got nasty quick. Let's just chill, guys. [] If someone has a differing opinion, the best way to disagree isn't "No! >:@", it's "Oh? That's interesting, why do you think that? []". Just try and see things from other people's perspective. []

MNOG for G2. It wouldn't have to be a first person adventure, or even a game: just something like MNOG or the news updates to flesh out the lore, give the toa (and us) an incentive to protect the villagers, and help Okoto feel less like a shallow backdrop.

I think it actually has received a fair bit of promotion compared to other themes, but we're judging it by the amazing-ness of Bionicle 2001 (or, if we're talking world building, MNOG).
-
This is genius. [] Front page! Front page! Front page! []
-
Aah, so that's where mask match and toa creator came from. [] I always wondered where Biomedia Project got them from...
-
Well, according to the balance of probability, and some half-remembered snippets from the way back machine, the competition was about designing a website about Bionicle. Which seems an unlikely choice for Lego, but as I said... Balance of probability.

On my desk/shelf, so I can see them all day long. [:3] [] I need to get a
to scale model of Mata Nuitable where I can have them all together... -
I Nui was gonna do that.Bionicle memes are the worst.
It's all a Mata of taste.
XD Amaya choked a little on my cereal reading this. []

Toodles, y'all o/
Every now and again, I go crazy over Bionicle. Especially years 01 to 03. I completely fanatic-out over MNOG, and start browsing the web and the Wayback machine for old 2001 nostalgic stuff. On one such trip, I found this:
http://kellyjmckiernan.com/matanui/
It's an old fan site from the earliest years, detailing a fictitious expedition to an island previously inhabited by Matoran and Toa. It's interesting seeing the Bionicle world from a fan's perspective back in the day (i never got to experience the golden age of Bionicle, only getting into them in 2008).
So yah. Just thought I'd drag out this little blast from the past. []

Well, this will make me feel a little better about visiting england. [] I just hope W. H. Smith sells them at the given cost, instead of whacking it up this their usual unforgiving prices. []
-
Very smooth animation! [] The visual effects are also very neat. Great stuff! []
-
Fantastic modelling/rendering. I love how you've adapted the pieces to fit the MoL/LoMN/WoS style, while still keeping them recognisable to the actual set parts. Brilliant job, 11/10! []

That's next to collaborative work. I have to be paid on an hourly/daily basis.
If this isn't a serious work position, then I'm afraid I won't be able to take the position. Ah well, I thought it was all too good to be true. []

Hang on a moment. Let me just get this clear: this is a paying job your offering, right? I did ask before, and while your answer seemed to indicate so, it was a little unclear. I'd like to clear that up before we go any further, as I'm a professional developer and naturally don't (read: can't) do voluntary or unpaid work.
-
-No problem.
-I know that. [] What I'm saying is: I may only be available until November, depending on how things pan out with this other arrangement.
-Ace. Would you prefer to move this discussion over to Skype? I'm fine with it anywhere, I just find that some people like the immediacy.
-No PayPal? Would you be happy with direct transfers then?
-
Righto, then. [] I have a few quick points/questions before we go any further:
-What's the deadline for the project (if any)?
-I have an arrangement with another studio around November, so I may have to drop out of this project around that time. Would this be an issue, or are you hoping to have it completed before that time?
-I use Skype for communication, and PayPal for transactions. The former can be changed to a platform of your choice (as long as it's mac-compatible!).
I think that's all for now...
-
They're fantastic! [] Looks like you won't need me to do any animation, then. []
So how many levels are you looking to do, and what would their scope be? From the screenshot you posted in the original post, it looks like you're going for a topdown, pseudo-3d style (Which I happen to have worked with before). Am I right, or are you leaning towards the side scroller/platformer style?

-
I could do both, as I have experience doing pixel art animations, as well as level design.
Just to clarify: this is an actual development job, not just a collaborative/voluntary position? Or am I barking up the wrong tree, so to speak? []
