  1. True to real life. He's like a body builder that has a deep side, and you can occasionally catch him reading philosophical books at night... or in a dark cave. All the Gali jokes that surfaced today were pretty great too. -NotS I haven't heard those yet!
  2. It's building on Onua's role as a wise mediator in the original story. I'm glad they did that and not gruff, boisterous MoL Onua Totally agree with that. It just seems odd when you compare Onua's set vs character. If I had a dollar for every time I've heard that joke today...
  3. Onua is so fat And why is that he meditates? UNDER THE STARS? I thought that was Gali's thing, but apparently all she's good for is telling bad jokes? And it's extremely hard to imagine a buff Toa of Earth meditating under the stars in dark caves.
  4. You know, after seeing all the new sets in person, I realize how much of a journey Bionicle's had. In the late 90s when Throwbots came out, it was like the Hero Factory to the 2015 sets. Throwbots set up the design for the Toa Mata, keeping similar elements but adding unique elements. Hero Factory was a good thing in my opinion, because it acted in the same way as Throwbots. Bionicle 2015 can only evolve from here. Although it's different, it's growing on me for sure. Words can't explain my excitement for the future!
  5. I've been looking for it as well, but I haven't found anything yet.
  6. The animation is SO beautiful and it reminds me so much of the Deathly Hallows animation from Harry Potter. But I'm a bit confused. It said both brothers went into an endless sleep, Makuta included, am I right?
  7. Yes. -Gata They look fantastic. I'm stoked about the brain stock and the general appeal the heads have. Out of all the bionicle news we've had today, this is by far my favorite reveal. Just save 500 bones and you're set man
  8. Did the new animation remind anyone of The Deathly Hallows animation? I immediately thought of that while I was watching. I got that feeling and MNOG feels with it simultaneously. I don't know how fond everyone else is, but I'm really hoping to see some 01-03 type mini-movies with this style.
  9. Pohatu has the most beautiful yet simple enough design. Tahu has to be the first though, since he has and always will be my favorite. Either way, they're all getting purchased at once.
  10. Sleeping Limbs - From Indian Lakes. These guys are incredible.
  11. I've seen them live in 2011 and last year. Best live performance I've ever seen. Stop the Car is one of my favorite songs, that and Living Together from thei album On Letting Go, which is by far their best album in my opinion. From Indian Lakes:
  12. I'm looking forward to an eyepiece as well, but, if they make a printed face design, it should not be too complicated. I don't want IFB mini-movie styled eyes :S The constraction sets with printed face designs (knights kingdom) seems outdated. I'm definitely expecting something a bit more... full.
  13. What does everyone think of the actual head design? So we have the knight's kingdom connector mask, but will the head be just a little print of a robotic face on a plastic piece or what? I'm seriously hoping for an eyepiece, preferably in many colors like the mata.
  14. I read all the responses haha. Looking at them, it's pretty cool to take a step back and see just how much the line really means to all of us. We're all a family in a good ol fashioned nerd way. I definitely appreciate all the congratulations and advice by the way!
  15. The McToran. Simple has always been good. I felt that they never really needed an upgrade, however I do like the MoLtoran regardless. Either way, the McToran had so much personality, not because of MNOG, but because of their beautiful color schemes. They were collectible and easy to play with regardless of articulation. Any other McToran set was uninteresting to me. The MoLToran would be my next pick, but they just can't compare to their previous design. Not to mention, the pieces that connected the feet to the body were female dogs if you lost them because they were matching the foot color scheme. But yeah. McToran.
  16. I'm having a son with my girlfriend that's due at the end of December this year. Finding out I was having a boy was the best thing for me, because I knew that meant I get to share in his toy experience. Ever since I found out about Bionicle's return next year, I plan to buy the new six Toa and leave them in storage unopened until he's 5 or so, thst way he has a chance at experiencing the magic Bionicle's story and characters had on me when I was his age. I'm hoping it'll be important to him. I remember in 2001 I was about 6 when I got my first Toa Tahu. I got hooked because of the mysteriousness of it all; the CD contained strange stone carvings hidden on a beautiful island. The inhabitants were robotic in appearance but there was always something more to them. I'm hoping by the time my son's old enough he'll get to experience that as well, and maybe it's something we would be able to bond with. Even though I'll be his father, I'm still just as intrigued by Bionicle after all these years. Maybe there's a topic similar, but my question is this: How old were you, and what year, did you become a fan, and what got you hooked for sure? And if you were (or already are) in my position, would you introduce your children to bionicle?
  17. My girlfriend and I live together, so she hears about it almost every day! I go on big spiels about the story and the characters with great enthusiasm. She always listens and I've never been called a nerd for it. She even got me a sealed 2001 Tahu for my birthday this week.
  18. The best year is 2001 by far. 01-03 mata-nui years were top notch. I really disliked the Piraka. The whole atmosphere just threw me off... not to mention those awful teeth. I could never understand it.
  19. rf p0fvg-bpoooooooo Sorry that was my cat. ^^^^^ Anyway, if bionicle made a comeback, I'd really enjoy a MNOG style flash game, preferably designed by Templar. The flash animations were certainly timeless works of art as well, considering I still watch them years and years later.
  20. Probably cause the McToran would be a McDonny thing most likely. And we have grown used to lots of articulation. The McToran are some of my favorite sets. I would be stoked to see something similar return, regardless of articulation.
