  1. For the new Kopaka set, I replaced the huge shoulders and chest for smaller, non-gold, parts. I also replaced all other gold parts (using parts from the PoI), as well as just using the two parts of the shield as blades and putting one in each hand.
  2. That man was a legend. Anyway, I think a TV show would be fine, as long as it's not a TV version of the books. Or if it's really bad and gives Bionicle a bad reputation.
  3. Just as I had started to drift away from Bionicle again, I see this and I come screaming back. I literally can hardly contain my excitement!
  4. Gravity Hurts. It's a great song, but I can't find it on iTunes.
  5. I have to say 2006. I didn't like the technic builds *prepares for angry swarm* the arms just were annoying for me, swinging back and forth unless you had specific pieces that stopped them. The Inika build was my favourite. Poseable and bigger than before. Plus I loved the masks and armour, not to mention the translucent pieces. The story, I think, was great as well. Six matoran go "rogue" (well, not really) and become Toa, in a race against time to save the dying Mata Nui. Also the Piraka were great. They were individual villains, which wasn't really seen before save Makuta, Sidorak, Roodoka, and a couple others. They also had internal problems, scheming and having no trust for another. Then finally the matoran. The whole "resistance" aspect was pretty neat, proving that even a couple matoran can do something against six powerful beings. Anyway, that's just my two cents.
  6. This has probably been mentioned many times, but if the reboot happens, I'd like to see a Toa team using elements like gravity and lightning. It's unlikely, but it would be cool.
  7. It's really simple, but I actually like it! It's small, but it has lots of customisation potential.
  8. Bionicle served as a boost to my imagination. That's a very bad way of describing it, so I'll go more in depth. When I was about 4 years old, I loved Thomas the Tank Engine. I would build tracks and make stories and all sorts of creative stuff. As I got older, I became more interested in drawing. I drew Thomas trains However, as I began to lose interest in drawing, I became a less creative person. I'd go play video games at my friends house, or play sports, etc. When I found Bionicle, however, my imagination was renewed, in a sense. I built characters, I made islands, I sat in the room holding my toys for hours, though for me it was an adventure through the magical Matoran Universe. I remained interested in Bionicle for a long time, and thus I kept being creative for a long time, until Bionicle ended and I lost interest. But Bionicle's effect on me was not lost. I wrote stories, first about Bionicle, but later I branches out to other subjects. While this may not be a big deal, or deep, or anything, it was important to me in my life.
  9. I didn't mean The Mysterious Feeling of the 2001 Bionicle Universe, I just meant it in a general sense. Anyway, I'm not completely sure what I think they would do. Perhaps wrap up the loose ends on the side and start a new storyline set in the future as a compromise to new and old fans? I dunno. However, for some reason I want a full reboot, which is strange, as I'm a nostalgic and sentimental person.
  10. During my few days on this forum as a new member, I've seen a lot of people state that the reason they enjoyed the Toa Mata/Nuva was because of the mystery of this new universe. Would this mystery not be relived, even a bit, if a full reboot took place? *Sprinkles nostalgia fairy dust everywhere* Just a thought.
  11. Am I allowed to double post for chapter updates? If so, chapter one is up. I had it all done, but then something happened and it was all deleted, so I had to do it again, and rewriting chapters is not what I would consider to be enjoyable, so sorry that it's short and kinda rushed. Basically, I'm building up the setting and stuff right now. It'll pick up soon, I promise.

    A New Horizon

Chapter 1 Grahu was woken up the next day by noises coming from outside. He got up, opening his door. He was greeted by hundreds of fellow ko-matoran, at least, he assumed they were ko-matoran, speaking to each other. They all stood in front of a large balcony perched on a building that was larger than the huts, but smaller than the tall buildings that towered above all else, save the large mountains. As Grahu entered the crowd, a hush came over them. Looking around, Grahu saw all of the others were looking at the balcony. He followed suit, and saw Turaga Kotum standing on it, his staff held up in the air. "Hello, inhabitants of Ko-Metru. For those that do not know me, I am Turaga Kotum. I am sure you all have many questions, and I will attempt to answer a few right now. This island, Masua Nui, is home to six regions, or Wahi's, each with a different climate. You all currently reside in the region of Ko-Wahi, in the city of Ko-Metru. I am the elder of this city, and I am here to direct and watch over you. In a minute, you will all be given jobs to carry out to make sure this city will run smoothly. If you do not wish to work, no one will force you to, however, you will have to leave the city. On your hut you will find a word. If that word is "voya," you will be a messenger and you will meet here, in my hut, as soon as you can. If you see "rua," you will be a scholar, working in the large towers in the city," as Kotum motioned to the towers, Grahu felt a strange pang go through him. The towers seemed familiar somehow, but he couldn't imagine how. "Now, please go to your huts and report to your required location." After Grahu reached his hut, he saw the word "voya" written beside the door. He walked back to the Turaga's hut and saw about ten other matoran there as well. Kotum came soon after, and spoke to them. "You will be the messengers of Ko-Metru. Some of you will stay here and deliver messages throughout the city, while others of you will travel to other Metru's and deliver messages to them. The matoran that will do that are as follows. Poltu, Ta-Metru. Lervi, Ga-Metru. Grahu, Po-Metru. Jetwas, Onu-Metru. Huyde, Le-Metru. Your first assignment will be to inform the other Turaga that the transition is complete." With that, the five of them left, splitting off after leaving Ko-Metru. Grahu made sure to grab his ice pick on the way, uneasy with this trek into territory he had never ventured into before. After what seemed like hours of walking through snow, the snow began to melt away to reveal barren ground and sand. Eventually, the climate changed to dry and hot, and Grahu became irritated. He kicked the sand as he walked, dragging his pick in the ground. Finally, he reached the city of Po-Metru. The buildings weren't as tall as in Ko-Metru, and they were made out of clay. The majority of them were huts, with a lot of fenced areas. Grahu wandered around the city for a bit, until he found a hut slightly larger than the others. He knocked, and what he could only guess was a Turaga opened. "My name is Grahu, and I am here from Ko-Metru to inform you that the transition is complete." "Thank you. I am Turaga Porew, the Turaga of Po-Metru. Tell Kotum I appreciate the message, and I wish him and his city the best." Grahu nodded, and left the hut. On his way back, he noticed a strange creature standing in his path, a couple dozen bio's away. It was a bit larger than Grahu was, appeared to be bipedal, and had a beak. As he approached it, Grahu noticed the creature stir. Frowning, he began to walk around it. However, it awoke, and looked at Grahu. He grasped his pick in his hand, preparing for attack. However, he was ill-prepared. The creature charged, and Grahu was knocked over, caught off-guard by it's speed. The creature turned around, preparing for another attack. However, a rope was slung around it's neck and a matoran came out from behind a rock, pulling the creature in. "Having trouble?" The matoran, obviously from Po-Metru, asked. "I was fine." Grahu muttered. "Didn't look like it. Dikapi giving you trouble?" "What?" "Dikapi, this rahi right here. It's usually pretty docile." "Well, thanks." Grahu began walking away. "I'm Barekk by the way." "Grahu." Grahu mumbled before continuing his journey back home.
  13. I'd probably be a messenger. A seer would be too boring and sedentary in my opinion, and a messenger doesn't seem like a rough job.
  14. This is basically pitting super heroes versus robots. Bionicles have masks, weapons, and elemental powers. Hero Factory has weapons. I'm gonna side with Bionicle here.
  15. I have to say that the Inika were my favourite. Probably because that's when I really started enjoying Bionicle, but I dunno, there's something about them. The light up weapons were cool, not just because they lit up, but the designs were nice as well. The masks were a cool idea, and again, the designs were great in my opinion. Finally, the bodies were very well built, the pieces never broke for me, and they had more mobility than the previous sets. The story was enjoyable as well, for me at least. As for my least favourite, I don't really have one, I liked all the teams, but if I had to choose, it would be the Phantoka/Mistika. I liked the To a Mata, and I liked the Toa Nuva, but the Phantoka/Mistika thing just was too weird. It's kind of hard to explain. The designs were pretty cool, don't get me wrong, but I just didn't like the story. Especially the vehicles.
  16. Mata Nui: Kopaka Metru Nui: Nuju Voya Nui: Matoro Mahri Nui: Matoro Karda Nui: Pohatu Nuva Bara Magna: Eh…Gelu I guess Not a fan of ice at all... The reason I picked Pohatu Nuva is because I didn't like the mediocre design of Kopaka Nuva as a Phantoka. No real weapon, save that lame little laser thing mounted on his Skyblaster. Pohatu Nuva's mask and propeller things were awesome.
  17. Gaaki was my first Bionicle set. I remember being in first grade and my best friend holding out two lego sets. This mini fire truck thing or Gaaki. He told me to choose one, and I'd get to keep it. Thankfully, I chose Gaaki, and thus began my love for Bionicle.
  18. Oh, duh, my bad, I forgot to space it all out, sorry. Anyway, I fixed it now, and thank you for the feedback!
  19. Please tell me if I'm doing something wrong as far as formatting, etc. as I literally just joined and am still learning. This is the review topic for my story, A New Horizon. I feel intimidated, to be honest, as the other stories here are quite amazing. Anyway, all criticism is appreciated!

    A New Horizon

A New Horizon Review topic: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/14145-a-new-horizon-review-topic/ Introduction What? What's going on? Where am I? Who am I? Grahu opened his eyes. He was in a pod, silver in colour, circular in shape. He realised he was bobbing up and down, floating in a body of water most likely. The pod was translucent, and he saw other circular shapes, lots of them, floating around him. Then he felt himself moving forward, due to a large wave he guessed. A small bump meant he hit land. Looking around the pod again, he found a latch. When he turned it, his pod opened with a hiss. He hopped out, and landed on a sandy beach. All around him, other pods came to shore and opened, and others like him climbed out. Everyone seemed confused, and many of them began to explore. There was a large group of trees in front, blocking the view of whatever was past them. There were many paths, or rather places where plants just didn't grow, leading into the forest. Soon, all the others had gone down these paths, leaving Grahu alone. They were foolish, entering unknown territory unarmed and unprepared, unless they really did know something he didn't. It didn't matter, he wouldn't go anywhere without some sort of tool to defend himself. He walked down the beach, shuffling his feet to see if anything was buried under the sand. Finally, he stumbled upon a small white pick most likely used for climbing mountains. It would have to do. Picking it up, Grahu headed for the leftmost path. "Do you believe that they are coming?" "Yes, the stars shined brightly last night, I couldn't sleep. It's the sign we have been waiting for. Is everything prepared?" "Yes. Each city is ready, it just needs workers." "Good. Now go to your respective cities and prepare to welcome the matoran." As he slashed through the vines that blocked his path, muttering under his breath, Grahu began to let his mind wander. Is it amnesia? Why do I remember nothing but my name? His thoughts were interrupted by a noise. He stopped, and turned around. Nothing. He frowned, and proceeded cautiously. He was out of the forest now, and on a proper dirt path. Good, no more vines. Now I can check my...surroundings? When Grahu looked up, he was astonished. Before him lay buildings larger than the trees, towering over everything. No words could explain the magnificence of it, and Grahu was frozen for a second. When he recovered, he saw a sign. It was neatly written, which made Grahu a little relieved. There was intelligent life on this island. When he got closer, he read aloud: "Ko-Masua, left. Po-Masua, straight. Ta-Masua, right." For reasons unknown, Grahu peeked at his tool. Engraved on its handle were the letters "ko." Doing something he almost never did, Grahu relied on instinct, and took the left path. As he continued to walk, the dirt path soon turned into a proper stone walkway. The further he went, the colder it got. Soon, snow covered the path. Looking at what lay ahead, Grahu saw many snow covered mountains. He picked up the pace, feeling almost excited for what lay ahead. After what seemed like hours of walking, he made it to the mountains. The path twisted between them, and Grahu saw light pouring out onto the path. Whatever Ko-Masua was, it had to be making that light, he was sure of it. When he turned the corner, Grahu stopped. Before him stood a wondrous city, glowing with light. The buildings were an off white colour, and stood many stories high. Grahu walked through the city, looking around him in wonder. "Ah, hello. I see you are the first one to come to this city." "What is this? Why am I here? Who are you?" "All important questions. All you need to know right now is that you are on the island of Masua Nui. This city is called Ko-Masua. You are a Ko-matoran, matoran of ice. This city will be your home, where you will be given a job to carry out. I am Turaga Kotum, the elder of this village. You are?" "Grahu." "Welcome Grahu. This hut right here will be your home." Grahu looked at the modest white hut and nodded. "Now, the others will be coming soon, so I have to greet them. Make yourself at home." He walked away, towards the edge of the city, and Grahu entered his hut. It was decently furnished, with a bed, a desk, a crate, everything essential. As he sat down, Grahu took in the information he had just received. The island was called Masua Nui, the city Ko-Masua. He was a Ko-matoran who was supposed to work in this city. But why? What was the purpose? And who was this mysterious being that called himself Turaga? Too many questions, too little information. Grahu looked outside, it was starting to snow, and it was dark. He decided he would go to sleep and try to search for answers in the morning. On the beach, one last pod washed up onto the shore. There was sound of movement inside, then the hiss of the pod opening. A matoran climbed out and looked around. He, however, was not bewildered. He seemed content. "This island, Masua, is full of weak beings. None of them can rival me, which means I can easily conquer them." He crept into the forest without a sound, smiling to himself.
  21. To be honest, I never really thought about it. I started collecting at 7, and stopped around 12, and I didn't really think much past "read new comic, buy new set." Now I know that everything has to end sometime, so Bionicle had to as well. Would I have thought it would end when it did? Not especially. However, I don't really know how the toys were selling.
