  1. Are you still only looking to sale this as a collection only?
  2. Please private message me with an offer. I'm located in the United States. Please provide photos of the item. Must be complete, no broken pieces. Thank you.
  3. I would like to purchase- 8540 Vakama 8541 Matau 8542 Onewa 8543 Nokama 8544 Nuju 8545 Whenua 8582 Matoro 8583 Hahli 8586 Macku 1388 Huki 1392 Kongu 1389 Onepu 1391 Jala 8595 Takua and Pewku 8607 Nuhrii 8610 Ahkmou 8621 Turaga Dume and Nivawk
  4. I've felt that the Skull Warriors were all corrupted Toa, a play on the shadow Toa theme from 2001. I really don't think we need to go down the road of thousands of sentient species again.
  5. I always loved Huki and Maku, besides the toys my first introduction to Bionicle as lore was the Mata Nui Online Game, and that first year was critical in defining my fandom of Bionicle and Lego in general. While it was taken out and completely ignored by canon, those relationships felt real and authentic, and added a believably to the franchise. Besides those two being my favorite pair, I always enjoyed the playfulness of Hali and Jala, even though, again, it was never allowed to go anywhere.
  6. Kopaka is available in the Winter Wave! Removed by request of LEGO. -B6 Searching this up on Lego Shop brings up a Product Not Yet Available Page. This was confirmed on the Sciurus Workshop Youtube channel.
  7. An ominous mask, villainous, even? I'd love for this to be a twist and the mask belong to The Makuta. I still believe this is a reboot. BIONICLE IS REBORN!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. You can find Carlos D'Anda on Deviant Art. Absolutely anyone may contact him, or leave a message to him. Especially if he has already been informed, then I'm sure arrangements can be made. How many fans donated to this? Is the money still around? Who's responsible?
  9. I will definitely put cash down for the complete wave. I hope Lego Store has some big launch.
  10. If you assault fan communities over a miscommunication, you're a loonie. There are proper, culturally representative ways to present your case. Holding fansites hostage is unacceptable, and loony toony. Digital terrorism is not a solution. So please remember that.
  11. There was originally a theme with the names; Tohunga, Toa, Turaga, alliterations I've always been fond of. As a fan from the era of Tohunga, it's what I still call them to this day. It will always be Tohunga to me. Though, I still remember the assault on BZPower, and the site was down and everything. A shame LEGO gave into the demands of loonies.
  12. I feel pretty confident that Hero Factory is done. Bummer for fans, but it might not be permanent. As for gender diversity, I feel as though a fair and balanced gender ratio is important for the brand. And as an original fan in 2001, where I did swap genders, I fully support Lego in swapping genders of half the Toa team to remain balanced and fair. With Gali, Pohatu, and Lewa, the latter two I often considered female anyway. But it's also important for Lego to remove the monogendered tribes, and if those steps are taken then Bionicle could easily flourish as a unisex brand for kids to grow into. Lego Friends shouldn't be the only theme welcoming girls. And Bionicle always had a defined female fanbase.
  13. That isn't a viable point, though. It's hearsay. Has anyone else contacted a retail store? Actually, that might be a good idea. Has anyone else, besides this member, contacted a store? Even a Lego Store? This is the internet, people get excited, exaggerate, misunderstand. I wouldn't even put my stock into what a stranger on a message board says. Individuals require their own verification and proof. And, besides, he wasn't arguing BIONICLE, he was arguing the NYCC announcement.
  14. I wouldn't miss it. My wife has enjoyed the line. But, and perhaps it's a bit bias, I just never felt the passion for Hero Factory as I did for BIONICLE. And it maybe arrived at a different time for me; bored of excessive sci-fi and crooks and villains that the series presented just didn't appeal to me.
  15. I think he's perfectly allowed his skepticism, this may not be a BIONICLE announcement. This is about keeping your hope and hype in check. What you allow yourself to feel is fine, but so is skepticism and reserve. For me, I'm the hype train conductor. This is the exact type of announcement I was expecting, since I didn't buy BIONICLE at SDCC, even when the case was empty until Sunday. Point being, the fandom has been wrong before. BIONICLE is coming back, but this may not be its announcement. (I think it is)
  16. Exactly. Plus, LEGO is looking to engage an entirely new audience of youngsters. And this sort of announcement plays into their track record for reviving lines. BIONICLE is a new theme, it was cancelled five years ago. Kids won't know it. And if BIONICLE is indeed a new beginning, using this as a way to highlight the new theme is brilliant introduction. Plus, the fact that BZPower has this contest. Now, if anyone else gets it, I'll take that mark off. BIONICLE Confirmed.
  17. They know. They're such a tease. BIONICLE CONFIRMED.
  18. My mom still only knows LEGO as that BIONICLE company. I think that is a powerful statement on the longevity and passion of the brand. And, frankly, I strongly believe that BIONICLE was the best new IP of that decade. This was a product that revived the LEGO company and ignited a passionate fanbase. I still buy and play with LEGO, but that would have never happened if BIONICLE didn't exist.
  19. BZP's leak policy. The fact you had to post it is exciting! It's been far too long.
  20. A complete reintroduction to the world of Bionicle. A full reboot. The original Toa are the protagonists again, and fight against the Lord of Spiders and his minions, who are kidnapping Tohunga and bending them to his will. His minions are able to latch onto the faces of Tohunga and Toa, and bend them to his will. As the fight escalates on the island, The Lord of Spiders captures a Toa and turns him against his team, forcing the others to duel against one of their own. After the Toa is wrestled free from the encroaching darkness, the six unite and take the battle to the Spider's den. As a total reintroduction, it's important to lay the foundation of the Toa, while giving the team conflict with others as they work through their differences. This would physically manifest through the Lord's control of one of the Toa. I also think it's important that the enemy be someone other than Makuta, but elude to a whisper in the darkness that the Toa heard when he was under the control of the Spider, this could be Makuta, or a new villain, but I feel the Lord of Spiders should only be a step toward the villain, ala Darth Vader and Palpatine. This doesn't even bring into the plot the seeming object of power- the golden mask in promotional material. I honestly have no opinion on that.
  21. I think Bionicle would be best served returning to its roots, using 2015 as a full line reboot, casting aside the convoluted decades worth of material. Frankly, IMO, it would be better for it. The fiction that had been established lost a great deal of weight and coherency in its last years, and I feel this is a grand opportunity to, using hindsight, to find what worked about the line, and what weighed it down. Also, we have to keep in mind this is going to be aimed at 9-14, and that range will have no idea of Bionicle and its previous canon. Take advantage of that to introduce us to this world again, and take us on a new journey. Return to the fantasy and tribal nature of the original line, the ominous shadow of the villain, and that sense of new and adventure. Bionicle would do well to return to its roots, thereby casting it in a different light from Hero Factory, and other major toy lines available right now.
  22. I like them for the silhouettes and simplicity of design. Now, I love articulation, and yes, the Mata lose points for lacking modern articulation trends but they make up for that in sheer brilliance of design, vibrancy, and silhouette. What the Mata have that others did not were a very streamlined, beautiful simplicity that shined, with popping colors. Easily accentuated by lovely Mask design. The original Kanohi were the finest masks ever to come from Bionicle. So, it's not really a discussion of articulation, that's another topic all together. This is about the general aesthetic.
  23. I'm thrilled about Bionicle and its return! The sets look gorgeous, and there's a certain nostalgia associated with the brand. I still remember the big displays for the Toa Mata when I was a kid. For me, personally, I hope the series returns to its roots, tribal, ancient, with ruins and beautifully ominous music. There was something so curious about the original line and its flash game. And that sort of storytelling is something I yearn to get back to. If the leaked images and boxes are to be believed, we're in for a real treat when this finally gets confirmed. Anyway, I use to be a regular here, so I'm excited to return. And with new Bionicle no less.
