Am I the only one who looks at the skull spiders and thinks The Legend of Zelda?

Nope. I actually saw a funny comic a while back showing Tahu angry over how none of his attacks were working, while Link is like, "You gotta wait for it to turn around, dummy."
Ha. Never thought of them that way. Cool stuff :P. BTW, do you happen to have the Link to that comic? (Horrible pun is horrible xP)

  2. I definitely haven't decided yet! I can say that since I've received six sets from the LEGO Group to review for The New Elementary, some of the decisions have sort of been made for me. :PI have two siblings, so with the old BIONICLE each of us got two from every team of six (I got the red and white sets, my twin brother got hte green and brown/orange sets, and my younger brother got the blue and black sets — we originally planned it so that we'd each get one from each Kaita, though after the Bohrok-Kal it stopped working out that way). Whether we still do that for the new BIONICLE will depend on whether all three of us are interested in collecting the sets — I know my younger brother is nowhere near as interested in BIONICLE as he used to be, and I get the impression that nowadays he thinks it's kind of silly. Even if we do all want the sets, a lot will depend on whether we can agree on which sets each of us want.

Wow! I was in the exact same position as you were as far as siblings and Bionicle ownership is concerned. Cool stuff! Since I started collecting Bionicle when it came out when I was 6 it was difficult to complete a collection, and siblings helped out a lot. That's one thing I love about being older and more self-sufficient is the fact that I can buy the sets I desire with ease with a little concern about budget management when it comes to Lego, but yeah!

  3. I'm not even sure if there's only one LOSS. For all we know he might not even be the biggest villain of this year. We still have five other sets coming in.

I am pretty sure that LOSS is a generic villian and I am positive that I have seen more than one in a single official picture before, albeit slightly blurred in the background (I can't remember the picture atm). Besides, the Battle for the Golden Mask competition explicitly states that there is no main villain yet, otherwise I don't think there would have been a contest of such sorts.

  4. After some thought of my own plans for my Bionicle 2015+ collection, I was curious to see how other people like to collect them, from the generic "Ooh! I'll get that one!" fans to the hardcore "MUST HAVE THEM ALL!!!!" fans (represent!  B-) ). That said, here is a poll for you collectors to see what the most popular way to collect the future sets is!

  5. Now I don't know if anybody has said this already because I didn't read all the posts, but Lego would not directly link both universes. Sure they might make small connections if the MoT theory turns out to be true but they wouldn't directly due to the newer generation of kids discovering Bionicle for the first time. In addition to this, their overall new approach is "simple = better/easier". Linking both universes would require the new demographic to know about the gen1 universe, which is complicated. So, no, no direct links. Hints or suggestions maybe for the older fans, but they would have to be simple and subtle ones for the kids.

  6. Could a 2 toa mix their elements in a dual Nova Blast?

Two Toa could go nova at the same time, yes, if they wanted to destroy everything for hundreds of miles around, including their friends

Hmm... not to get off topic or anything, but when 6 toa of different elements use their elemental powers together, it creates solid protodermis, so what would be the result of a combination of 6 different elemental novas, besides the destruction of the universe of course (:P)?

Also I agree with the other people when they say it would be to powerful to be used if it were possible at all.

Do you think these mean anything for the Kanohi list, or were these exclusive to just the new lego store invite only event?

I went through all of the images there, but I'm not seeing anything not already accounted for...?
I meant as far as the colors of the mask's are concerned :P
    Umm, going through one-by-one, then...

    Red Mask of Fire: Check

Yellow-green Skull Spider: Check (No picture in checklist yet though)

    Blue Mask of Water: Check

    Gold Mask of Water: Check

    Brown Mask of Stone: Check

    Green Mask of Jungle: Check

    White Mask of Ice: Check

    Gold Mask of Stone: Check

    Gold Mask of Ice: Check

Silver Skull Spider: Check (No picture in checklist yet though)

    Gold Mask of Fire: Check

Solid gold Mask of Creation: Check

Solid gold Mask of Ice: Check

Solid gold Mask of Water: Check

Sooo... yeah. I'm still a little confused by what colors you mean.

    ----

A new picture by DV in his blog show quite a few more transparent orange/red Masks of Fire than I was thinking there would be. Very curious now and am definitely inclined to add them to the checklist as a result.

    ~|ET|~

Well I don't mean to drag this on but if you notice in the pic with the masks, there is a brown mask of water, a brown mask of ice, and a brown mask of fire. I was saying that this could imply that every mask might be available in every different color, but my question about this is that were they exclusive to the Lego store free build session or should we plan to see these different colored masks as collectibles in the future?

A tip for the forums: you need to make sure that your pics are less than 650x650 pixels and less than 100 kb in size. Also, you might wanna thumbnail the pics linked to a larger picture. Also, I think you might get notified about your sig, which seems a bit too big for the size restriction currently in place.

All of that aside, I think this MOC is really cool. I've always loved fan-made combiners and actually prefer them to the official LEGO ones. This one is no exception. Though I have one qualm with it, which is the fact that it is made of two completely unrelated Toa, which is somewhat a deterrent for me. I prefer combiners out of the same line in all honesty. Also, props for some really good photos!

    :tohu:

You like MoC's huh? Imagine a toa...With a Tahu Mata Pakari...with a Midak Skyblaster that flips from back onto the shoulder...with Karda-kuta, or, Karda Nui Makuta, torso, with a star wars fighter pods thing in the chest that has a green...Material, shall we say, inside of the fighter pod, with those knee pads that have the spikes that are silver that are from Bionicle, and two Matau Hordika legs, with two orange Metru/Mangai eye...things on them, with two toa of Ice feet(Since I didn't want to take apart any other MoC's feet) and wielding a sword that has a laser barrel tuning fork design on the inside of it. Hows that for a MoC? Oh, and did I mention? My self-MoC has TWO elements, Fire and Sonics. I have very sensitive hearing, and i have a quick, short, temper like Tahu's. So, a combo elemental fits me perfectly.
If you want people's opinions about your MOC'S then make a separate forum topic about it. Also this topic is about my MOC, not yours, so of you don't have anything to say about it or have anything constructive or critical to comment concerning it or another's person's comment about it, then please don't post it here. If you want to say something like this someone then pm them.
