  1. This MOC is a Combiner of the sets 8739 Hordika Onewa and 8910 Mahri Kongu. It has not been named as I am terrible at naming things. Name it yourself if you want to  :)

Sorry for the large images, I am still new to photo editing.

Anyways, this is the creature's passive stance (click for larger):

    Berserk Mode:

    combiner2-9.jpg_thumb.jpgcombiner2-10.jpg_thumb.jpg | combiner2-11.jpg_thumb.jpg

    Description:

Firstly, this creature is normally passive, but can be extremely dangerous if provoked, with two stages of aggression: Aggressive Mode and Berserk Mode

Aggressive Mode: Raises tail and deploys its blaster-arms, leaning forward with front limbs supporting itself and also at the ready to strike. Can fire explosive projectiles from blaster-arms, shoot streams of electrified energy from the tip of its tail, and pack a powerful punch with its forearms.

Berserk Mode: This mode is utilized in desperation. Separates into two beings and splits up; the head section burrows underground for an ambush while the torso section wildly and recklessly attacks the opposition with lightning-fast moves and brute force. Head section creates diversions, surprise attacks, and overall tries to disarm or otherwise immobilize the target. Torso section gains a speed and strength boost and becomes incredibly flexible and agile as it is lighter; can fire explosive projectiles from arms, hit with explosive punches, and fire streams of energy from its "head". When attacking, the pair try to surround the enemy from both sides.

This creature is actually two co-existing with each other in a symbiotic relationship; the head section can consume its food and share the energy it gains with its torso, but cannot move well on its own. The torso section enables the two to move and travel, but cannot consume food. Therefore, if the two are separated, they will die shortly after, which is why they work so hard to protect each other.

Fighting Example: Berserk Mode v. Lhikan

  2.

Do you guys think the whole "Unity, Duty, Destiny" slogan and it's symbol will be in the new universe? I mean, it was basically the identity of Bionicle in a sense and it wouldn't be confusing or screw up Lego's new approach to marketing

The symbol had a much bigger part in the old BIONICLE's identity than the virtues themselves ever did. And frankly, the symbol's meaning was pretty specific to the identity of the old BIONICLE theme by the end, considering its relevance to the destiny of the great spirit Mata Nui. So I would not mind one bit if the new BIONICLE avoided that particular symbol and instead sought to carve out its own identity.

I'm guessing the same applies to the Matoran language glyphs?

Do you see any Matoran? :P

Do you think the transparent hau's will have any sort of story relevance, or Lego was just "what the heck, why not" when they thought up the idea.

They could make for a nice toa of crystal.

Also, do you fellows think we'll think we'll get masks in multiple colors? I'd love to see that but I'm thinking that it's not gonna be a thing.

I would love to see Kakamas (if they're even called that anymore) in every color. Especially blue & green. And silver. :P

    Does this answer your question?

(Can't properly post pictures; on my phone :P)

  5. I'd just like to point out a few things about the new generation and how masks work there based on what we know so far:

    1. The masks in this universe are just normal masks, as far as we have been told

    2. The only masks of power in this universe so far are the golden masks forged from the elements, each with a different element as the mask's power, so nothing special like super speed or x-ray vision

    3. The masks are not confirmed as being called Kanohi and most likely will not be due to the fact that Lego is trying to keep terms simpler and less confusing this time for a younger generation

That said, we should limit list contents and specifications to Kanohi from the old universe only until we find out more information about masks in the new universe.

Another thing: I am sorry for not updating the list per all the recent suggestions as I have been sidetracked by the re-release. I need to compile all of the suggestions and sort out conflictions with them so I can update the list, so I hope to get it updated soon. Thanks for all the contribution so far! :D

  6. Welcome to the great Bionicle 2015 Easter Egg hunt!

At the Bionicle panel of New York Comic Con, the speaker at the end of the slide show revealed that the various pictures and concept art featured in the presentation contained "Easter Eggs" for us older fans with well trained eyes to find. For the curious bunch of you who so chose to go on this "hunt", post finds here!

  7. Okay, I'm just gonna be open to everything as to why I'm not happy with 2015.

It's all a big cop out.

    Seriously.

I like the new builds, and the fact that Mata Nui and Makuta are brothers again, but it's all just... Meh.

    The island is still MATA-######-NUI.

They've completely changed the characteristics of characters - Lewa's clumsiness onto Kopaka, Kopaka's dry humour onto Gali, Gali's wisdom and other things onto Onua, and they made Onua SLEEPY OF ALL THE ###### THINGS.

    SLEEPY.

Plus, we haven't heard a thing about the spiders that are with all the sets, which are probably a main point, mainly due to the fact that they're getting a box of their own, unless they're just a generic bad guy, a la the brain slugs.

And the fact that some of the design choices are in very poor choice.

Edit: and if your going to make Turaga in the style of souped up Matoran, USE ###### SOUPED UP MATORAN.

Generally, Lego has just made a company cash out to get some more money to work on things they know are working.

    Lego, I am disappointed.

If you don't like it so badly then why don't you make a forum topic about it for anyone who has complaints about 2015?

  8. I'm very confused- what does everyone mean when they say the Vahi is only half of a mask?

Well if you look back to the actual design of the Vahi, it stands apart from the other Kanohi at the time because it was not designed as a full mask like the others, and the fact that the Vahi was mentioned by TLG (I think; just going from memory here) at NYCCC, us fans theorize that there could in fact be a top half to the Mask of Time. Plus, it was hinted at by TLG according to TTV.

  9. About the masks, my evaluation of them is that it seems the ones the Toa wear or masks in general are powerless as there is no official information concerning that they do, aside from the MoUP. However, the promotional video did say that the Mask Makers forged Masks of Power from the Elements, which could tell us one of either two things: one, that the masks the Toa wear are actually the source of their elemental power or two, that the gold masks are actually masks that do have powers and those are what the Toa are actually looking for. I suspect the latter.

Also, an appearance of a second half the Vahi in this universe and having it be a link between the "Maraverse" and the "Nuvaverse" would be amazing! But of course that is all speculation now :P
