well the poll says about half of the voters think the robot is unreasonably big but i still dont think theres any real good size for this thing to be so gosh darn huge like it needs to be huge for what it is, but comparatively it doesnt make sense for it to be so huge and like why would you write a story where an entire 'universe' is inside of one robot that was made on a planet? when its the size of a planet? like i just dont like this discussion its making me not like the story no matter which side i chose (i didnt vote i hit null)

@bonesiii im pretty sure what some people are saying is 'we dont know HOW IN THE H*CK it could work so maybe lets rethink the situation" if im putting words in anyones mouths let me know

so how can the mata nui robot fit metru nui and all the other islands inside of it if the toa mata live on just its face? maybe he has a really tiny face? wait did someone tell us to "think a little" when they, themselves, refuse to do any critical thinking?

while i would love for the turaga to returm, i've decided it might not be the best decision. i just looked over the old masks and i would like to see them redesigned but the magic will be lost idk turaga are just the right mix of cute and wise looking in my opinion

i hope the masks come in all 7 colors again. but maybe this time they should limit all the masks to a maximum of 7 colors....

EDIT: sorry for respondng so childishly. however i do believe that its cool to have such limited masks, it makes them worth more to the people who get them

I love how Lewa's mask combines the color of his original mata mask with the aerodynamics of his phantoka mask. also the first thing i did when reading the character descriptions is check the pronouns. and to say im upset is putting it mildly. really? still a sausage fest?

anyone notice how the tab for onua's character description says "ONYA" instead of "ONUA" ? dont worry, i took a screenshot just in case they fix it EDIT: ninja'd. already mentioned by someone

I'd imagine Greg would say something about you making too many assumptions about this story based on the previous story. I'm not assuming anything, I'd just like to know how similar this universe is to the old one... though I suspect he'd only answer most of my questions with "I can't reveal things before the story team do". People are going to ask him a lot more questions which he won't be able to answer from now on, I think. depending on how the story plays out during the reboot, maybe, for once, we'll be able to understand the plot on our own without needing to ask the writers anything

i dont know much about the way masks/helmetes have been fitting to the sets lately , but i noticed something sort of interesting? there's a little ridge on the roof (?) of the mask, and i'm assuming thats hau the mask fits onto the heads

i think they abolished the whole 'mata nui' because it was the name of an island, a great being, a toa, and there were a group of toa named after it..... makuta was almost as bad but at least it was just a 'clan/species' and not 6 different things lol

not to put words in anyone's mouths but in my opinion destiny erases all sense of free will... there's no real unity or duty if you think about it because, according to destiny, all of the characters are either 'destined' to be virtuous or 'destined' to be villians.....

correct me if i'm wrong, but im getting the message that bonesiii cant write comments that arent condescending and hard to understand....... (and of course every post needs emoticons up the wazoo) like i have no idea whats going on in this topic, but i think we can all agree that the story doesnt provide a good explanation of protodermis.... (and that we dont necessarily need a good explanation)

i wanted to add to this topic because i always thought protodermis was interesting when i was younger.... but i had a lot of trouble following this discussion, mainly because @bonseiii doesnt include usernames when they quote posts.... anyway i always thought it was silly how protodermis wasnt explained in the best way possible considering there was so much hype about it at the beginning? also i dont know very much of the messy plot of the series but im under the impression protodermis was meant to be explained well and then it just didnt really happen in my opinion is there a way to discuss this without everyone arguing? because i wasnt aware this was where the debate club holds all of their meetings.....

thanks! my next step is to figure out the proportions needed for all of these pieces and the armor that matches best to them. i wish ldd had more of the old bionicle pieces :/

i ended up putting the spider creature on hold until i got better at navigating LDD so i made this humanoid creature and i have to say that i do not know the best way to use the CCBS parts lol is this a step in the right direction? i didnt like any of the chestpiece armor that was available so i went with this messy looking combo lol i dont like these weird chunky armor looking pieces that fit on arms and legs.... especially because they all look gross

1) whats wrong with the av-toran limbs? this is just the rough draft though so dont worry, i already said i was going to change it a lot. 2) what are CCBS limbs?

so i've always admired the people who can make unique designs for their original characters but i am not good at that so i settle for the simpler designs. however, my bionicle collection is kind of small so i caved and downloaded the LDD thing that i see a lot of people use. i find it sort of hard to navigate but after a little practice i was able to get a character started. i plan on using this as a template for the general shape and idea of how i want to make this thing. of course this current iteration is on the small side and doesnt use very many pieces. its basically just a warm up and an outline lol do y'all think i should keep the tail? when i scale it up i would make it look like armor plating even though thats very over done right now do you like the concept of 4 legs? i always like this centaur-esque body form but im not sure how other people feel about it. personally i like the black/white color scheme (i have a mild form of color blindness but lets not get into that) but im open to any other color scheme, possibly one that goes with an element. speaking of elements, if i did give it an elemental attribute it would most likely be stone, then i would probably make it plain brown but im not sure what the lighter color should be. tan is also overdone but i like the way it looks with brown lol

well i love changing existing toa designs like that is the only thing im not terrible at when it comes to building bonkles. i agree that its a bit overdone. i think everything looks great but the sides of his torso do look cluttered. if you took off one or two of the sets of silver weapons under his armpits it would be easier to judge this design

the legs look a little awkwardly scrawny but everything overall looks really cool!
