This would have probably been my fav G2 set if it was real, I'm a big Mata Nui fan. This build was designed using purely the CCBS system except for the obvious Mask, Thornax Launcher & Shield. Excited to finally share it with you. Used part #11334 for his shoulders.

Suru sat in his hut in Mahri Nui, holding a grey Kanohi in his hands. He had found the mask many years ago on one of his trips across the ocean floor. He assumed it was one of the many treasures from the Great Spirit that floated down to his village every Naming Day. The mask, he couldn't identify the type, had a long shallow crack reaching from the mouth to the left eye socket. Probably a result of the fall. The crack made it useless to him and his fellow Matoran, so there was no reason to keep it. And yet, when Suru first laid his eyes upon it, he immediately asked if he could keep it. He wasn't sure why he wanted to have it; all he knew was that the mask awoke in him a strange feeling of familiarity. When Mahri Nui fell, the Matoran lost all memory of what came before the sinking. Recollections of the past were rare and as such a cause for celebration. Every time one of the villagers remembered even a snippet of the life on the surface, a ceremony was held at the Sanctuary, where the memory was shared with the rest. Suru never shared any memories. Not because he didn't want to, but because, frustratingly, he couldn't remember anything. He would spend hours looking at the grey mask, hoping to experience at least a tiny flash, anything that would tell him, why it looked so familiar to him. At this very moment he was still waiting. "Suru!" He jumped. A Matoran with a green Kualsi was at his door. "Suru, what are you doing? The others are ever-ready to go!" The Po-Matoran stared briefly at Defilak, his Le-Matoran friend. What was he talking about? Then he remembered - the Toa were planning to evacuate Mahri Nui. Defilak himself had ordered everyone to collect all their belongings and meet at the entrance into the Cord. Suru had gone to do just that – collect his Climbing Hooks and chain. And the mask. "Sorry, Defilak," Suru said, finally. "I got distracted. I'm ready to go." *** Defilak and Suru walked side by side, ahead of the procession. Toa Matoro walked next to them, making sure the Mahri Nui Matoran were following. Suru was fidgeting with a pair of pebbles between his fingers. It was something he did when he was nervous. He tapped Defilak on his shoulder. He wanted to talk and he didn't want the Toa of Ice to listen. They fell back. "Do you really trust them?" he asked the Le-Matoran. "Can we really believe their promises?" "Their promise is of hope, Suru," replied Defilak. "This is something we all desperately needed. And yes, I faith-trust them. I believe you can too." If you trust them, Suru thought to himself, then I guess I will too. It was a hard thought for him to accept. But there was one part of him that was enchanted by the hope that was promised. The hope of a better life. The hope of finally finding out. Suru instinctively reached into his sack and retrieved the mask. To his surprise, he felt a small pulse, a miniscule fragment of what might've been a memory. Screams. Were those part of the memory? No, they were coming from behind. Toa Matoro was running towards the procession. Suru put the mask back. In a minute, there was chaos. *** "What is going on?!" shouted Defilak, who huddled on the floor together with Suru. "Old friends came to say hi," remarked Toa Matoro in between hurling ice bolts. The Matoran couldn't see clearly what he was firing at, but they looked like giant eels. Giant, colourful eels with large, smiling heads. Suru was panicking. The migration, the memory, the attack, he couldn't take it. His fingers were scraping the bottom of the Cord and his legs were kicking against it. Rocks were flying across his head. He wanted to run, to get away from the chaos. Then he saw something. A flash which turned into an explosion of light. A Rahi beast standing his ground before him, clutching a small grey Matoran in one of its claws. A live memory. Suru swung his arm to strike the beast. And then everything went black. *** When he awoke, it was on a different kind of stone. Rough, course, unlike the smooth volcanic rock of the Cord. Next to him, Defilak was also waking. The two Matoran looked at each other, both with the same question in their eyes. Then they looked around and saw something amazing. Grass. Trees. Mountains and a clear blue sky. Sunlight. It was the most amazing thing Suru has ever seen. And it didn't seem foreign at all. He felt chambers in his mind unlock and open after centuries of darkness. He knew what came before Mahri Nui, before the sinking. He remembered a cataclysm, a voyage, a shadowy ****** and a former homeland. And he remembered a Matoran with a grey Kanohi. He tore the sack from his shoulder and rummaged through it. To his surprise, the large object was not there. In its place were fragments. He grabbed one of them and held it towards the light. It was a piece of the mask. "Are you alright?" Suru looked up. Defilak was eyeing him with worry. Then he saw the fragment in his hands. "I'm sorry." That was all he said. That was all he could say. Suru was silent. He looked around and saw Matoran embracing each other. Old friends, reunited at last. Suru felt alone. Lost. But he didn't have time to dwell, because a large, bulky figure was stand before the Matoran, demanding their attention. *** The giant's name was Axonn, protector of Voya Nui. He calmly asked everyone to follow him. Said there was going to be a quake and that they should seek shelter in the underground caves. The Nui Caves. Suru remembered their name. Matoran huddled in the faint glow of lightstones. Defilak sat next to him, never leaving his friend's sight. Pieces of the broken grey Kanohi were scattered on the ground. "Suru?" It was a female voice. A hardened female voice that came from the corner. "Suru, is that you?" The lanky figure, to whom the voice belonged to, stood next to the two Matoran. The light revealed her to be a Ga-Matoran with a Great Rau. Recognition shot through Suru's mind. "Dalu!" Laughter filled the cave as Dalu and Suru embraced. He remembered his warrior friend from Voya Nui. He remembered their time together. Both became warriors out of necessity. Every so often they would fight wild Rahi together. He couldn't believe she was still alive. "I can't believe YOU are still alive, you Brakas," laughed Dalu. "None of us can." "You remembered me." "Yes, we all did." Dalu greeted Defilak with a nod. Then she glanced at the Climbing Hooks on the floor. Possibly the same she once sacrificed to the depths on Naming Day. Then she saw the broken mask next to them. "So, he found you after all," said Dalu solemnly, pointing at the fragments. Suru was confused. Who found him? Before he could ask, the caves began to shake. Everyone fell to the ground. Suru grabbed the pieces of the mask and held them in his lap. Another flash of light struck him. He was flying - the Rahi had struck him. Suru hit the ground and charged again with his spear. For a moment he was floating in mid-air and then he hit the ground again. *** Suru stood up at once, ready to face the Rahi. But it wasn't there. He was in the cave with the other Matoran. All around them was dust, illuminated by the shattered lightstones that lay everywhere. And there was something different in the air. "They did it!" The loud, booming voice belonged to Axonn. " Mata Nui lives!" The Matoran were too shaken to comprehend what happened, but knew it was a good thing. One by one they exited the caves. When they surfaced, they noticed the sky was a different shade of blue. And it felt right. Suru wasn't looking at the sky, his gaze was fixed on the mask he held in his hands. Except he wasn't even looking at the mask. He was looking at the face of the shy De-Matoran to whom the Great Mask of Rahi Control belonged. The one he had just saved from a wild Rahi. The Matoran looked at him with quiet but infinite gratitude. "What is your name?" Suru remembered asking. Just then, one final gate in Suru's mind was unlocked. What came out of it was like a massive tidal wave running through his head. He looked down on the familiar grey shape and murmured the Matoran's name: "Vinurr."

Had a lot of fun creating it. Swapped a few parts around for a more original light/athletic Tahu look. Also includes a new torso/chest build. Added red feet and hands + added metallic effects to his blades and golden armour. Wanted to keep the design simple and inline with the sets. The background assets were borrowed from the 2009 Glatorian Legends promo poster, I've reworked some of it to get a better overall aesthetic fit. Thanks for checking this out!

Used to go by the name Sonnax but since I gave her such an overhaul, figured she might as well be given a new name. It's latin for speed without the s at the end. (not the most original I know, but has a nice ring to it). Went with digitagrade legs to make it more suitable for running and added a tail to the spoilers/airbrakes on her back to add to her ability to manuver herself at high speeds.

Hafu looked incredulously at the tall brown figure at the entrance. At first, he thought his optical sensors were playing a trick on him. He shook his head, but the figure remained. A Toa! A Toa of Stone, no less! Hafu thought he’d never see one in Metru Nui again. His feeling of joyous surprise wouldn’t last long, however. The Toa had spotted him. And he seemed especially angry with Hafu. “Ahkmou!” Hafu was startled. “There you are you foolish little Sand Snipe. Where did you hide the disk?” “I-I-I don’t know what you’re talking about Toa,” stuttered Hafu. To his relief, the Toa no longer glared at him. Instead, his expression was that of confusion. “You… don’t sound like him,” said the Toa. “It’s the mask, isn’t it?” replied Hafu, annoyed that it had happened again. Ahkmou and him wore the same mask. It wasn’t uncommon for Matoran to spot a Rau-wielder, assume it’s Ahkmou and start verbally assaulting what they thought was the slimy carver. Then they’d hear Hafu’s voice and rush to apologise. It seemed now that not even Toa were capable of telling them apart. “Do you know where he is?” asked the Toa. He didn’t even bother to apologise. “I wish I knew that myself!” answered Hafu. “He’s been falling behind on his work. Keeps talking about a secret that is going to make him the most famous carver in Po-Metru!” The Toa looked at Hafu, intrigued. Hafu continued. “Last time I saw him, he was meeting with two big… beings… not Matoran, not even Toa! One was really huge; the other was on four legs. Ahkmou looked really nervous, too. After they left, he headed for the warehouse.” The Toa pondered briefly, a semblance of worry and intrigue flashing across his Great Mask. “Thank you,” he said at last and headed towards the warehouse himself. Hafu looked as he left, still mesmerised by the sight of a Toa in Po-Metru. And still upset at the fact he mistook him for Ahkmou. He thought he heard footstep to his right. He turned and saw a familiar brown Mahiki in front of him. It was Kamen, Hafu’s friend and co-worker. He too seemed to be mesmerised by the sight of a Toa. “Was that…?” “I think it was, Kamen.” “Incredible.” Kamen’s voice was filled with awe. “Indeed.” Hafu’s voice, on the other hand, wasn’t. Kamen took notice. “Something wrong?” Hafu huffed, ready to erupt. “He thought I was Ahkmou! Can you believe it? Not even a Toa can tell the difference between us!” Kamen looked confused for a moment. Then he chuckled. “Don’t laugh, you dust-covered Brakas! There’s nothing funny about being constantly confused for that miserable worm!” Kamen chuckled some more. “Come on, Hafu,” he said, “it’s a little funny”. Hafu was still fuming. “We’ll see if they’ll still confuse us once I throw a Recon disk at him.” “DON’T!” Kamen threw his arm around Hafu’s mouth. Disk Duels were highly illegal, even suggesting to get involved in one was sufficient grounds for arrest. The two Matoran stood silent for a moment, keeping an eye for the Zadakh. After enough time had passed, Kamen released his grip. “You shall do no such thing,” he said sternly. Hafu did not dare reply. “Besides,” he continued in a slightly softer tone, “if it bothers you that much, get a Kanohi change. Vakama could probably make you a new one.” Hafu scoffed. “What, Nuhrii’s former apprentice? I’m not getting a mask from that worthless forge-cleaner!” Kamen shrugged. “Suit yourself,” he said and turned back towards the warehouse. He hoped to get another look at the Toa.

Hafu looked incredulously at a hazy blue figure in the near distance. At first, he thought the heat was making him see things. He shook his head, but the figure remained. In fact, it came closer, revealing itself to be a Ga-Matoran, wearing what appeared to be a dark blue Kaukau. It seemed to Hafu, that she was admiring one his many stone sculptures. “Ho ho, what is this?” he said to the newcomer. “A fan of my work? I am not signing any autographs today, sorry!” The Ga-Matoran looked at Hafu, slightly surprised. “Uh, hello there,” she replied. “Who are you?” “What?” exclaimed Hafu, a little shocked. “Surely you recognized the master carver Hafu when you see him?” The Ga-Matoran squinted. “I’m pretty sure ‘the master carver’ wears a Pakari, not a Ruru.” “I assure, my lady,” responded Hafu, trying to hide the fact of his hurt pride, “that I am in fact the master carver.” The Ga-Matoran shrugged, deciding to humour the Po-Matoran who claimed himself to be Hafu. “Anyway, what brings a water maiden all the way here to our arid village?” “Kohlii,” replied the Ga-Matoran. “I’m here for the Kohlii match. I’m the Ga-Koro forward.” “Oh, so you’re Hahli!” cried Hafu. “A pleasure to finally meet you! Hewkii’s told me about you. You’ll be going against him and me. I’m the Po-Koro defender, you know. I hope you’re prepared; we’re Kohlii champions for a reason!” “Oh, I’m more than prepared,” said Hahli, surprising Hafu with her confidence. “Question is: are you two prepared?” Hafu was taken aback but quickly found his composure. “Definitely,” he remarked. At that moment Hafu remember Hahli’s teammate. “Tell me, Hahli, is Macku with you?” “Oh, she’s right behind me. I decided to come a little early.” A short silence followed. “Anyway,” continued Hahli, “It was nice meeting you, ‘Hafu’. I’m off to check out the stadium. See you at the game!” Hafu didn’t know how to respond, all he could muster was: “Yeah, uh, see you!” Hahli continued her way down the Path of Prophecies. There was another Po-Matoran working on one of the sculptures – one who seemed to wear a brown Mahiki. He turned to greet her. “Hello, Ga-Matoran!” he said, courteously. “What brings you here to our wonderful village of Po-Koro?” Hahli smiled. “I’m here for the Kohlii match,” she answered. “Hahli, Ga-Koro forward. I was just done speaking to your defender, the one who claims to be the great Hafu.” “Yes, the one with an identity crisis,” chuckled the Po-Matoran. He dropped his pick and held out his hand. “Kamen the stonemason, at your service.” Hahli shook it gladly. Her gaze flew over the sculptures that surrounded them. “So, you and the Hafu impersonator over there take care of these sculptures?” “Yes, we are constantly taking care of the sculptures, so that they do not Disintegrate! Time and weather take their toll on our great works, wearing them down into dust. Disintegration is the enemy of Creation!” “Creation,” pondered Hahli. “Is that the principle that you Po-Matoran live by?” “Exactly!” Kamen was pleasantly surprised at the Ga-Matoran’s knowledge. “By combining the Virtues of Unity and Destiny, taught to us by Mata Nui, we have become skilled in Creation! And it is from our Principle that we learn our Kohlii Skill – Strategy!” He looked around to see if anyone was listening and added, quietly: “Take my advice, maiden. Seek out the Mahi Herder just outside of the village, he can teach you about our skill. Hewkii visits him to train - if you visit him too, you might actually stand a chance against our champions.” Hahli smiled. “Now, I shan’t neglect my Duty for too long. Farewell, Hahli, and good luck!” Hahli bid Kamen farewell and continued into Po-Koro. The Po-Matoran turned back to his work. “Can you believe it, Kamen?” He turned. Hafu was standing next to him, looking irritated. “She didn’t recognize me! And she had the gall to question my identity!” “It’s your mask, Hafu,” replied Kamen, amused at his friend’s grievance. “Ever since you had it changed, you’ve been a different Matoran. Even I can’t recognize you when I see you!” Hafu grumbled, unimpressed. “Besides,” added Kamen, “Hahli’s probably only ever heard of you, so she couldn’t recognize you. You mustn’t assume you’re THAT famous, Hafu.” Hafu grumbled further. “I’ll show her,” he muttered as he turned away. “I’ll show that Ga-Matoran.” Kamen laughed as he chipped at the stone. Masonry was hard work but having Hafu by his side made it entertaining. Hafu meanwhile had also returned to his work. He had barely begun when he felt he saw another blue figure in the distance. Upon closer inspection, it seemed the figure wore a Huna. Hafu dropped his tool and rushed to greet his comrade.

Hello to you all. If you remember me from a few years back. You'd probably know I started a project around the old BIONICLE TCG Quest for the Masks. You can read about my initial post here Well I can finally say that the project is now public and can be downloaded from the Steam Workshop here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2880123317 the game can also be played physically using the cards from the original tcg however due to the cards rarity its better to just proxy the neccesary cards. All assets that's in the mod plus printable draft packs for a real life cube can be found in our discord: https://discord.gg/DJhsDsfwsn So as for how to play this game: Draft is a different way to play TCG and it was first popularized by tcgs with larger followings like Magic The Gathering. In these tcgs you can draft either new packs or packs from a predetermined card pool called a CUBE. So this is what this project is about. It's about making it possible to draft with the QFTM cards and to build CUBES using these cards. Now you know what the project is about but you are probably wondering how you play draft? To draft Bionicle quest for the masks, gather 4-5 of your friends and shuffle the card pool by rarity and deck type each card goes to. Then follow the included pack structures in the rulebook(See mod or discord) and distribute all the packs equally among your friends. When everyone is ready each player opens a pack of the same type. This pack is now considered the first pack of the draft, from these packs each player picks one card from their pack and passes it to their right. Each player then picks a second card from the pack they just received and passes it again to the right. This manner of play continues until all cards in the first pack have been picked. Then you do the same thing for the second pack(which should be of the same pack type of the first pack) but this time each player passes to the left. This continues for the third pack but packs are past to the right again. You draft the other pack types the same way, just remember to switch rotation between packs. Now you know what the project is about and how to play, so I hope to see you in our discord and that you think it's interesting enough to try out. //TheVirre2000(Tarkur)

The Science of the Spherus Magna System
RahiWatching posted a topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
Over the past 2 years I have been slowly working on a scientific investigation of the Spherus Magna Planetary System from BIONICLE. Do you want to know the strength of the surface gravity on Bara Magna? The orbital distance of the Red Star? Take a look at the below links to find out the answers to these and way more questions you probably never asked. I’ve spent so long on this and poured so much time and effort into it and I am so proud of the result. I hope any of you that are interested will check it out - if you get even a tenth of the enjoyment out of it that I did making it, I think it will be time well spent. I’ve got two versions of the document linked below, the Summary version (which just contains my results without any of the workings out or maths behind it) and the full version (that contains all 53 pages of my full methodology): Summary Paper: https://www.dropbox.com/s/35bia0e6ikh3zu7/The%20Science%20of%20the%20Spherus%20Magna%20System%20-%20Summary%20Paper.pdf?dl=0 Full Paper: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mxfb3igfxwoem5m/The%20Science%20of%20the%20Spherus%20Magna%20System%20-%20Full%20Paper.pdf?dl=0 Here is a preview of some of my results - a fully to scale map of the system! -

Hello everyone, I would like to show you guys my latest Bionicle moc. This time it’s a Makuta, his name is Udraxur (pronounced as U-drax-er). Udraxur holding corrupted Ignika in his hand. Without wings. Folded wings. Spread wings. Other angles from the first render. Note: I don’t have any backstory or lore for him yet so I’m sorry about that.

https://www.reddit.com/gallery/s0jyq0 CLICK LINK FOR IMAGES Hey! Apologies if this is the wrong place for this thread, I don't visit this site that often. I'm looking for one of five Bionicle-esque bootlegs that include a set of articulated hands, but I have scoured the internet high and low and I can barely find any mention of them. I have a few leads, but I'm stumped as to where to go from there. I started with google image searching pictures of the sets themselves, which eventually led me to some kind of news article that had a picture of one of the sets new in box. https://kknews.cc/game/m29pgb2.html From there, I found the brand name 818, and continued digging around on Google until I found a blog post about another set made by the same company under the same theme. Here I learned the original franchise was named King of Glory, and the company had made a handful of sets based on it. https://downtheblocks.blogspot.com/2017/12/818-82008-golden-king-of-glory-minifigs.html But no amount of searching for any combination of "818" or "king of glory" has yielded anywhere I can actually buy these sets. The best I got was this thing, which appears to be a King of Glory set by the same company, but in a completely different style. https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.16.392e770aidk15j&id=634419192524&ns=1&abbucket=16#detail I already own a pair of these hands, so I know someone made them, but I want to try and find a pair that are still on the sprue so that I can send them to someone who can resin cast or 3D print them and make them more readily available for people. I took some pictures of the hands when I first got them back in 2017- this also has some old Aliexpress links that are no longer valid, as well as the brand I originally purchased, YNYNOO: https://www.reddit.com/r/bioniclelego/comments/7eoy9l/bootleg_hands_review/ I did some more digging and it seems like these Iron Man sets have the fabled hand pieces, too, albeit with a towball instead of a standard ball joint: https://downtheblocks.blogspot.com/2019/12/818-82198-82200-various-iron-man-mech.html So yeah. I know it's a long shot considering these things are 5 years old at this point, but hopefully you guys can help a bit.

Hi, guys! Check out a story in Lego World Builder that I made. Please support this if you have a Lego World Builder account. It is about heroes from Bionicle G1 and Hero Factory uniting against their united enemies. They also learn about their similar origins. It is there to conclude both Bionicle G1’s and HF’s stories after 10 years of hiatus. If it becomes successful, I hope that Lego would consider making this canon for our sakes, maybe bring Bionicle and HF back, too. https://worldbuilder.tongal.com/world/c16c1073-c5d6-4a05-90a3-4074c42fc50f The story is not complete yet, but I could use some support and some contributions, so I know how to add stuff. I just made it public this year is Bionicle’s 20th anniversary, you know. The story is inspired by the Bionicle chapter books, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and a LWB story called Hiatus. I had some advice from the story’s creator. Wish me luck!

I don't really have any rules for this thread. What makes your bionicle collection unique? Is it a rare part you have, or perhaps specific memories with the sets you own? Or maybe you have mocs that no one else does? Why are you glad you have your collection and not someone else's I've been officially collecting Bionicle since 2007, and I've spent a good amount of time rounding out my '01 rahi collection. One thing that I have that not many other collections do are mnog-only rahi like Mahi and Brakas. I also have a custom resin vahi crafted for me by ZiosCustomLego on Etsy. What do you all have that's unique?

My artwork on Instagram Welcome to the wasted world of Afterman! The lightning hits through the grim red sky and ignites a tool with its magical power. Now the lone green Evoid is adapted to this hostile area and prepared to face the destructive evil Cybots with his new power of creation. This truly heavy metal art of unknown apocaliptic world was made by the basic round brush and is inspired by the feelings of 90s and the rebel creativity of Christian Faber. Bioventure continues…

UNfallen - Prologue Was it worth it? Incense smoke wafted lazily through the air, transporting and otherworldly. Rain fell, grey and unrelenting. Only a thin pane of floor to ceiling glass defined the outside from the inside, but the cold of the storm permeated so forcefully as to leave mildew tracks across the frame. The glass shuddered in the gale. Beyond, a thin rim of frozen ice stood as a bastion against roiling waves glittering with starlight, half hidden in the forbidding mists of opportunity. A thin and dark line obscured by the weather hinted at a greater world enveloped in the inky darkness of departing time. That far shore lingered without definition, only promise, and from it beckoned a haunting golden light. He stood in solemn contemplation of the worlds beyond, his back rigid and restrained despite the exhaustion of his eternal toils. He breathed the incense, and filled his synthetic lungs with the burnt history of civilizations. His cold heartlight beat slowly, contemptuously. A silver disk of protodermis rested in his hands. Its polished surface reflected the room behind, but not him. A perfect circle, the disk represented so much more than purpose or possibility. He held the future, but a future at the cost of itself. Was it worth it? He blinked, and remembered standing across the waters on the island shrouded in mist. Memories returned, palpably real. In the space of an instant he stood one foot in the present and his other in the past. The machine rested before him in its disrepair; a once circular structure echoed the shape of the disk in his hands, now tortured by misuse and neglect, still active despite all attempted destruction. Components were torn away to reveal a hollow interior of softly pulsing muscle and sinew soldered to wires and metal struts in grisly excess. The rain fell around him, soaking his white robes to a dark grey in the shadow of the machine’s golden light. It needed many pieces to be whole, and over countless cycles of oblivion he gathered them, coveting them like starlight in a jar. He held the disk before him, filling the open space of the machine with it in his view as if plugging a drain. Was it worth it?

Hey everyone, trying to sell off some stuff to pay down my tuition. I've mostly got G1 Bionicle sets, with canister if they came with it, and some sealed system sets. I've also got some miscellaneous stuff, including a few videogames, a Transformer, and a few trading cards. Hoping to sell quickly, so open to offers on pretty much anything. Hi, this is the Bionicle GX2 project. You might remember seeing something similar a year or so back, but it was dropped from development. This is a revival of the idea. My goal is to make a BIONICLE line (theoretically, not a pitch) that follows form AND function and has nostalgia pandering but a new story. The beats will be similar, but I aim for it to be something new fans, old fans, and children would enjoy. A demographic of 8 to 12 is my aim, hopefully sets like this will hit that mark. Keep in mind that none of this is a final product, everything is rough. Things that are a final decision, although controversial, include the printed masks, which I know are a point of contention. All of these things are available on my Ko-Fi through various Tier memberships, if you're interested in getting a more in-depth look, you can become a member at https://ko-fi.com/lemonlepid/tiers Also I'm on twitter! https://twitter.com/LemonyLepid Let's start with Matoran. These are not all the Matoran and some of these parts are a definite work-in-progress. The arms would be made of rubber, to allow item flinging, and have a hand clip for basic minifig tools. The feet are set above stud height, with the connection point being at the heel. This allows for posing on baseplates to be possible. They are scaled to be comparable to regular minifigs, and hopefully they're just as charming. Like I said before, these aren't final. None of this is. Let's move on to the Turaga, who are still kinda mid-development as of this post. These Turaga are less set representative and more set inspired. They have a custom cloth cape piece and utilize a hip part from the Toa, which we'll get to. Unfortunately I couldn't fit a function in these, but they're elders, they won't need to move much. These masks probably won't get attachments like the base 6, but I could change my mind. More discussion about those attachments soon. As you can see the Toa, Turaga, and Matoran scale properly at a base, but some Turaga are shorter than others! Then there are the Toa, who unfortunately have a pretty dated render at the moment and are still being finalized, such as the secondary color of the masks being the opposite of the mask. That's scrapped. The important thing is the Toa themselves. Each Toa has a proper gearbox, and function like the originals. Arms without a gear use (currently) a LotR Ring piece in black on a friction pin to brace the part, but that will probably change. They tower over Matoran, as they definitely should, and feature an abundance of pose-ability. There are several parts I want to revisit, but here they are! The mask attachments would all come in a single spru with the proper mask color, making all 7 attachments technically a single part. They clip or connect to accessory holes on the sides of the transparent mask visor piece. For this last section I'd like to once again ask that you'd check out both my Ko-Fi and my Twitter. If you join my Ko-Fi there is a discord you can join and ask me anything you want about the project, along with access parts and models at certain tiers, so please give that a look. With that I'd like to turn your attention to the Rahi. These Rahi are not only functional, but only a fraction of the size of the originals (except maybe the Rama). They are only one part of a full set, and you'll hear about my plans for each one as we go along. The sets themselves, in full, will feature two Matoran and a golden mask, along with one Rahi (or maybe two in the Tarakava's case) with two infected masks that give the Rahi buffs. The story beat is that the Matoran have to find these golden masks to use as a beacon to summon the Toa, who will protect them from the Rahi that threaten their daily life of peace. Using these masks will drain them of their power, which when the Toa return, they have to recharge the masks somehow (currently unclear if I'd do a collect-a-thon or some sort of other mcguffin like stones or whatever) so they can defeat the hostile forces that threaten the island. The Tarakava has a punching function, and would feature two lizards in a set with a Ga-Koro boat with a couple of Matoran, searching for the Golden Kaukau. It features two infected Kakama and it causes the beasts to move with wicked speed in and out of the water. The Nui Jaga has the classic stinging tail, and would feature in a set of a Volcanic arena, two Matoran attempting to battle the giant threat on Lava boards. Behind the monster is the Golden Hau, but it wears infected Pakari on its large claws, giving it wicked strength. The Nui Rama has a trigger function that flaps its wings. The set would be a battle in the sky, with two Matoran on a Gukko mount. They're chasing the large insect into it's hive, where the Golden Miru remains. The two Kaukau give the creature adaptive abilities, making it almost unstoppable even in the rain or underwater. Although rendered together here, the Kane Ra and Muaka would be different sets. The Kane Ra has a head bashing function to charge into action. The set would be in the canyons, the behemoth not budging from the cave it guards. Luckily two Matoran came prepared with a beast of their own, a battle dune buggy. Once the get passed that bull, the Golden Kakama would be free. But the monster wears the infected Akaku, giving it heightened perception! The Muaka has a chomping function that works similarly to the Kane Ra. The set would be in the drifts, where a couple Matoran have been watching from an observation deck. After they set out on their expedition for the Golden Akaku , they are attacked! The Muaka bears two infected Hau, giving it a powerful energy shield! The Manas has a bashing function operated my a single lever in the rear. The set would come with two matoran riding Ussel crabs with digging equipment. They find the lair of the dreaded Manas, guarding a golden Pakari. The two infected Miru amidst its fangs give it the ability to levitate. I guess. Please let me know what you think of my project, and follow me on Twitter and support my Ko-Fi if you want to keep up to date with it!
