IC: Ulkarr and Tekmo (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Taku, The Bridge) Ulkarr wasn’t familiar with some of the words being used - ‘Vahki’ and ‘Kanoka’ and 'van' being among them, but he nodded along anyway like he understood what was going on. "I will swallow their vessels in darkness at your behest, captain." Tekmo, of course, was familiar. The idea of the Vahki - machines built for law and order - being twisted into a tool of evil repulsed him, even though everyone else seemed to harbour an irrational dislike of them... wait. "What was that about a van?" @BULiK@Sparticus147@Tarn@Keeper of Kraata@Conway IC: NU-8020S (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire, Vahki Transport) "Some of the organics inside the temple are leaving through some sort of spacial disruption. Takadox is not one of them, but we must move in now in case he does." NU-8020S buzzed in the Vahki language to the two Vahki in charge of piloting the Transport, and the vehicle began to crawl on its mechanized legs closer to the entrance of the temple. Meanwhile, the two Vahki questioning Apex received a signal to converge on the temple. Since this beast seemed to not understand that it was they who were questioning it, not the other way around, nothing was gained from sticking around. "We have been commanded to apprehend him. That is all. Enjoy your day." IC: Ostrox (Northern Desert, The Tranquility, The Bridge) The Tranquility continued on its crash course to the ground… before regaining control and abruptly slowing down before it made contact with the desert sands. “Ooh, that was close. For a moment, I was uncertain in my own genius. Now, while they’re distracted with the other ships, we must regain altitude to strike back.” By Ostrox’s command, the ship began heading in the opposite direction of the aerial battle while climbing upward, intending to circle back once the Tranquility and the Inferno were at the same height. @Onaku@Nato the Traveler@Eyru IC: Achro (Onu-Metru, The Archives, Vault Exterior) “And now we have deadly lasers. Fine then, be like that. I’m going back upstairs.” Achro made his leave, not particularly caring for the remaining three warriors, who hastily tried to go after him. @EmperorWhenua@Onaku IC: NU-8020S’s Squad Members (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire) The machines halted, glad to keep their distance from this entity. “We are the Vahki.” The one on the left said. “We have come to this place seeking to apprehend a known war criminal and fugitive to justice.” Which was technically true. The one on the right held up the iStone with Takadox’s image on it. “Have you seen… this man?” They knew he must have seen him, of course, but the creature’s reaction would help gauge whether or not it would be cooperative. @Sparticus147 IC: Waveahk (The Coliseum, Elevator) “A giant crab happened. And despite my orders to get back inside the cargo hauler and just drive away from it because it wasn’t that fast, these two," Waveahk gestured to Rose and Skyra, "decided it would be a good idea to try and kill it, despite their attacks doing literally NOTHING against the creature’s shell. The one known as Keitara agreed, and then she used her vaguely-defined magic light show powers to scare off the creature. Which would have been fine, except then Tekmo with his powers of hippy said that she had poisoned the surrounding plantlife in doing so and that we were likely all poisoned as well, which wasn’t entirely unreasonable due to the sudden onset of nausea we all experienced. So we went to consult a medical professional, which we were unlikely to find in a swamp. IC: Ulkarr and Tekmo (Metru-Koro Airspace, The Taku, The Bridge) Ulkarr seemed visibly uncomfortable as elemental light energy surrounded him, but he didn't say anything. He wondered if the Aspect who had implanted Keitara's Kraata had felt similar discomfort during the rite. Tekmo was also rather uncomfortable. He remembered what happened the last time Keitara exerted herself like this. He also couldn't feel somewhat jealous, as it seemed like Keitara's power dwarfed his own. @TL01 NUVA@Conway@Keeper of Kraata@BULiK@Tarn IC: Achro (Onu-Metru, The Archives, Vault Exterior) "Ah. The old zappers treatment. Don't bother getting up, fellas, I'ma try something." Achro reached for his makeshift rifle, and began unloading armour-piercing rounds into the vault door. The four warriors took cover beneath the hail of bullets. They were not having a good day. @EmperorWhenua@Onaku IC: NU-8020S (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire, Vahki Transport) NU-8020S's head slowly twisted three-hundred and sixty degrees after hearing Triki's 'suggestion'. She then looked out the window of the Transport. "One of the organics has left the temple. One is easier to deal with than the whole, but from what I can gather, he possesses an irrational hatred of 'Skakdi', which you two seem to be. Which is why I will send my kin to speak with him instead." She communicated instructions in the Vahki tongue to two of her squad members, who took the tablet with information on Takadox with them. The two exited the Transport and made their way towards Apex. "If this creature should prove to be as unreasonably hostile to Vahki as well as Skakdi, we will move in to assist, and apply more forcible questioning." @xccj@Edelgard@Jakura Nuva@Sparticus147 IC: Waveahk (The Coliseum, Elevator) Waveahk really, really didn't want to be in an elevator in the depths of the Coliseum again. Not after what happened last time, and not after witnessing the aftermath of how the benevolent Toa treated their prisoners. He wasn't sure what he should be more worried about - the brutal warlord they were here to kill with delusions of empire, the would-be king with delusions of grandeur, the jabbering old fool with delusions of righteousness, the drunkard and the steroid-abuser with delusions of competence, or... whatever it was that gave him this 'Kraata', as Sorilax called it. He mentally prepared himself for Aurax's inevitable betrayal... and Stannis's. Despite his grumblings, Gnabol did take the Skaklets off Mazor so he had more room for movement as he went 'hunting'. He couldn't help but wonder if the babies had any memories of before they were remade young by the waters of the Aqua Sphere. Perhaps he could... no, he would not intrude into the minds of infants just to satiate his curiosity. But still, there were many questions about the Sphere still unanswered... and about his partner, as well. He still didn't fully trust Mazor, but he had done nothing to warrant distrust. "Perhaps, if we were to offer them something they wanted, they would hand over Takadox peacefully." She turned to the brothers. IC: Ostrox (Zakaz Airspace, The Tranquility, The Bridge) The Tranquility was unable to dodge the Inferno this time, causing significant damage to the outer hull in the middle section. "Pilot, land the ship! And it make it look like we're crashing!" With a brief chirp of acknowledgement, the pilot began doing so, rapidly descending, keeping the airship tilted at the side. But the Vahki deemed first officer made an interjection. "But sir, we are still capable of flight-" Ostrox's red eyes glared at the officer until it stopped talking. "...Very well, sir." Ostrox could have sworn the Vahki were getting more intelligent. It must have been the benefit of being controlled by the League instead of the Matoran. @Onaku@Nato the Traveler@Eyru IC: Achro (Onu-Metru, The Archives, Vault Exterior) “Alright then. Get to work.” At Achro’s command, the four warriors went up to the vault’s door to begin said work with their tools. @EmperorWhenua@Onaku IC: NU-8020S (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire, Vahki Transport) The Vahki became visibly uncomfortable as Lueiji laid his flesh all over her, before quickly stepping out of arm-over-shoulders range. “You will not touch me unless absolutely necessary.” She then slowly turned to Triki, her synthetic voice summoning as much sarcasm as it could. “‘Boom-boom’. An excellent stratagem, Matoran. You’ll try to confuse them by dying horribly, I take it?” NU-8020S could have sworn that the Matoran were not usually this dumb. "Ah. So, I wasn't sure if I was allowed to bring the Muaka aboard, so, it's parked just outside." @BULiK@Keeper of Kraata@TL01 NUVA@The UltimoScorp@Sparticus147@Conway@Tarn IC: NU-8020S (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire, Vahki Transport) It had taken some time for NU-8020S, Mahryo, Lueiji and Triki to link back up with the Transport, but once they had, they quickly caught up to their quarry, thanks to NU-8020S blasting one of Takadox's would-be rescuers with her Staffs of Presence. The Transport made its way through the ashen landscape in the shadow of the island's central volcano, until they arrived outside a ziggurat temple of unknown origin. "They are inside that structure, but numerous other organics are in there with them." She said, for the benefit of her flesh helpers. "We are outnumbered significantly. Fortunately, they are currently unaware that we have followed them." @Edelgard@Jakura Nuva@xccj IC: Navu and Klawne (Metru-Koro, New Archives Entrance, Yaushe) Navu pointed out when to stop once they were near the entrance to the New Archives. "Yaushe, I know that you're, uh... but, I don't think they'll let you take your van inside. Not enough space, I think." ALLIED VESSEL IS-" "EVASIVE MANEUVERS!" The Tranquility suddenly lurched to the side to dodge the Inferno's ram. It didn't quite work, as the Inferno still struck the Tranquility on the side, damaging the exterior hull and causing it to tilt, somewhat. "DESTROY THEM! NOW!" Both the Tranquility's pulse weapon and its machine gun turret prepared to fire at the Inferno at close range. @Onaku@Nato the Traveler@Eyru IC: Achro (Onu-Metru, The Archives, Vault Exterior) "I'll take your silence as a - 'please, force me open now'. Gentlemen?" The warriors accompanying Achro got out various implements - a cutting torch, a crowbar, some sort of large handheld drill, a spoon, for some reason... @EmperorWhenua@Onaku IC: Tekmo (Metru-Koro, The Muaka) Tekmo rushed into Metru-Koro aboard the Muaka, searching for anyone he could recognize. He nervously stepped foot into the cave, the massive claw marks made him somewhat nervous. @Smudge8 IC: Klawne (Metru-Koro, Outside Sans's Hut) Klawne would have tried to follow Knichou and Nale, but she knew she'd never catch up to them with their Kakamas. Instead, she followed where everyone else was going - to the 'New Archives', not that she knew what those were.

IC: Ulkarr (Metru-Koro, The Taku Exterior) Before Ulkarr could answer either Keitara's or Irna's questions, the alarm went off. "...What was that?" @TL01 NUVA@Conway@Keeper of Kraata IC: Ostrox (Zakaz Airspace, The Tranquility, The Bridge) The Tranquility stayed in formation with the other three ships. As Ostrox gleefully peered out the window, he noticed something. "A signal fire. Wouldn't the four armed warships flying out of the skull of a dead god be more visible than a TINY CAMPFIRE? I wonder... unveil our new weapon now, or use it later for shock value?" He decided that such a decision should be made democratically. "Tranquility to rest of the fleet. Do we take any action against that signal fire down there?" @Nato the Traveler@Onaku@Eyru IC: Achro (Onu-Metru, The Archives, Vault Exterior) Stepping out into the corridor was Achro, as well as four warriors of the League, each wearing a respirator as a defense against the Red Smoke. "Hello again!" He said to the door. "I hope you don't mind, I've brought some friends." @EmperorWhenua IC: Tekmo (Wilderness, Ruins of Ice, The Muaka) Stumbling back to his feet, Tekmo thought he saw something. After scrambling for his binoculars, his suspicion was proven correct - four ships of varying models, coming from the Great Spirit's skull. "Oh dear." He clambered back aboard the Muaka and sped back to Metru-Koro. @Keeper of Kraata IC: Navu (Metru-Koro, Outside Navu's Hut, Yaushe) Navu, despite returning to a scene of a murder, was feeling much better... until the alarm sounded, and she placed her hands over her ears to block out the sound. She knew what this meant. "No. Nonononononononono..." @ZippyWharrgarbl IC: Klawne (Metru-Koro, Outside Sans's Hut) Klawne was taken by surprise by this loud horn noise. Loud horn noises were rarely a good thing.

IC: Ulkarr (Metru-Koro) "I'm afraid not. This region is hospitable only because those who would otherwise inhabit it either died or fled when you arrived here. The Fau Swamp is infested with dangerous creatures and deadly pathogens. The Ash Barrens lie in the shadow of the volcano the Skakdi call 'Irnakk's Tooth', a place of great religious importance to them, from which horrific nightmares are made manifest. The Kumu Islets is the home of my people, and it is unlikely you will be welcome there, sadly. The rest of the island is either territory of the warbands or uncomfortably close to them. Even the underground isn't safe, as it is the refuge of the Mesi, a mutant strain of Skakdi even more aggressive than the usual." @Conway@TL01 NUVA@Keeper of Kraata IC: Tekmo (Wilderness, Ruins of Ice) "I should really just keep a journal, or something... hopefully, the League won't demolish this site on their way here-AAH!" Since he wasn't looking, Tekmo ended up sliding down the ziggurat's stairs rather than walking down them. "Augh... hurts. Everything hurts. Ouugh." @Keeper of Kraata IC: Gnabol (Wilderness, Aqua Sphere Trail) "Oh, I'm sure there's just some random house lying nearby." Two interesting specimens in one location. "Yes, that sounds reasonable. Take us into the heart of darkness." The Vahki at the helm began adjusting course to the crack in the sky - the entrance to the savage outer world that they were now all stranded in. Because of him. But his day would come later. Today was the Matoran's day of reckoning. "What a lovely day... He said to Keitara. @TL01 NUVA@Conway@Keeper of Kraata IC: Tekmo (Northern Desert, The Muaka) Tekmo stopped the vehicle and began speaking into his wrist. "Tekmo's log. I've decided to keep a log despite the lack of recording devices currently on hand because shut up, I can do what I like. So far, no obvious sign of approaching hostiles. Unusual temple with out of place ice formations sighted... you know, because it's a desert. Beginning recon." It felt as if Yaushe's voice was now coming from... outside? Like it was through a speaker, but then logically, she should be able to hear the original voice, shouldn't she? "Perhaps I could assist you in... whatever it is that you're doing, I presume trying to defend this settlement?" Meanwhile, Klawne would linger patiently outside, waiting for the results of Knichou and Nale's meeting with this Turaga Sans. @Conway@TL01 NUVA IC: Navu (Metru-Koro, Outside Sans's Hut, Yaushe) Navu pried herself up from the floor. Oh yes, ready whenever you are. I was just trying to determine the rate of fire, is all." @Nato the Traveler@Onaku@Eyru IC: Achro (Onu-Metru, The Archives, Vault Exterior) From behind the corner of the corridor that the vault door occupies, there's the sound of numerous footsteps on the metal floor, the breathing of respirator masks, and a familiar voice saying: "It's just through here..." @Onaku@EmperorWhenua IC: Tekmo (Metru-Koro Outskirts, The Muaka) Tekmo took the Muaka out west accompanied only by the Fohrok IV, towards the decapitated head of a god, to see what he could see. His belief in Mata Nui had never been absolute, and the fact that he was now apparently dead didn't help. @Unreliable Narrator@Keeper of Kraata IC: Waveahk (Coliseum Airspace, The Eclipse, The Bridge) "Hmm." When Datrox sees me, he's distracted - and Falh freezes him completely with his ice powers. He tells me that he'll be fine if I run away. He lies. When I finally muster up the courage to come back when no-one will help me... Falh's taken Datrox - still frozen - inside, and there's something else in there with him. A... biped, for lack of any better words, body covered in moss. They make... some sort of deal. I don't know how to explain it, but... Falh cuts out Datrox's heart, and... and..." Meanwhile, Navu was having a similar, albeit less noticeable public meltdown. Her hearing couldn't stand the cacophony that was happening around her. She couldn't handle this. Even if she spoke up, it was unlikely anyone would hear her. She clasped her hands over her ears, and tried to blot out the noise... that didn't work, so she knocked on the door of a strange looking van parked outside. "EXCUSE ME? Ostrox eagerly awaited to see what it would do to that poorly-designed eyesore.
