  1. IC: Ulkarr (Po-Koro Outskirts, Uraborask's Truck, Telepathic Link) No, his offering was another Skakdi. Not that it matters, as his irrational behaviour led him to decline my offer at the last minute, and the one he would've had sacrificed has been allowed to live, as his death now serves no purpose. Since Uraborask the Hunter has not undertaken the ritual, I no longer have any guarantee he will not bring harm to your places of refuge, but he has agreed to take me to Metru-Koro in his crude personal transport, as a show of good will. @Harvali
  2. IC: Ulkarr (Po-Koro Outskirts, Uraborask's Truck, Telepathic Link) Ulkarr climbed into the cab and sat down in the passenger's seat. "Follow the flying machine," he said, pointing towards the Taku on the horizon. "Initiate the combustion of fossil fuels to facilitate propulsion." As the truck began the journey to Metru-Koro, Ulkarr contacted Bode through the telepathic link. Booodeee... I'm afraid I must leave you. I have procured an alternate means of travel to Metru-Koro without the use of the flying machine. I will return when my questions regarding the upcoming conflict have been answered. You must keep me appraised of the situation in Po-Koro, as well as any further precognitive visions from Kanohi. Do you understand? @Sparticus147@Harvali
  3. IC: Ulkarr (Po-Koro Outskirts, Uraborask's Truck) "If he is not to be used as sacrifice, then his death is unnecessary. Release him. He has heard everything. He will spread word that an Aspect defends these settlements, which will serve to discourage any would-be aggressors." Ulkarr knelt to address the captive. "You have heard everything we have said, yes?" @Sparticus147 IC: Tekmo and Waveahk (Metru-Koro Outskirts, Cargo Hauler) "Well, I don't know about 'mechanic', but I am known to possess a mechanical aptitude-" "Since when?" "Since always... wait a minute, you said repair him?" Tekmo turned to face Sorilax. "What seems to be the problem, exactly?" @Sparticus147@Kal the Guardian@Keeper of Kraata@TL01 NUVA@Conway@Tarn@Snelly@Burnmad
  4. IC: Waveahk (Metru-Koro Outskirts, Cargo Hauler) Waveahk turned to Morangad. "I believe this is your stop. I'm afraid I can't offer you a ride back to the swamp. I have no intention of going anywhere near that place ever again. Perhaps I can convince the Turaga to lend us the use of one of the airships..." He trailed off, and started drinking from his canteen, sitting back down in the driver's seat. @Burnmad@Conway@Tarn@Snelly@Keeper of Kraata@TL01 NUVA@Kal the Guardian@Sparticus147
  5. IC: Gnabol (Wilderness, Aqua Sphere Trail, Skakdi Camp Outskirts) "Something that left no visible wounds or scars. Whatever can kill a giant crab can probably kill us as well. We should get out of here, and take the children with us." @Smudge8
  6. IC: NU-8020S (Mesi Cavern) "Enemy meatbags - while pathetic - are too numerous! Retreat! Evacuate this cavern immediately!" NU-8020S called out to both Vahki and organic allies alike, as she scooped her Freeze Disk back into her mandibles and prepared to hold the line. Firing up her null core, she fired the null ray towards the fleshling with the acid powers accosting her kin, so he could escape. @Vezok's Friend@Edelgard@Jakura Nuva@xccj
  7. IC: Ulkarr (Po-Koro Outskirts, Uraborask's Truck) "...Do you see that flying machine on the horizon?" Ulkarr pointed to the Taku, now barely perceptible in the sky. "It is travelling to the other, larger settlement. I was supposed to be on it, before I received word of your arrival. I only came here to ensure that you would not harm these people. And without the ritual, there is only one way to guarantee that, a way you would no doubt find... disagreeable. But perhaps I could take your word for it... if you take me to my destination in your vehicle." @Sparticus147 IC: Tekmo and Waveahk (Metru-Koro Outskirts, Cargo Hauler) "So that's what it's called..." "What is this 'Kraata', you speak of?" @TL01 NUVA@Kal the Guardian@Sparticus147@Keeper of Kraata@Conway@Tarn@Snelly@Burnmad
  8. IC: Ulkarr (Po-Koro Outskirts, Uraborask's Truck) "But you are alone. Utterly alone. What purpose does your existence have if not in service of something greater? Any fool can survive with power - it is through obedience to a superior intelligence in which survival is made worthwhile." @Sparticus147
  9. IC: Ulkarr (Po-Koro Outskirts, Uraborask's Truck) "I must have their obedience. It is the only way to ensure their survival. And, if you choose to accept my offer, you will help them survive, hunting down and eliminating those who would threaten this settlement. Zakaz is a chaotic, disorganized place - I must have order. There is no end to the amount of undesirables who require termination - nor the amount of trophies you will have." @Sparticus147 IC: Enra (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire) "I am not going with him. I'll check out upstairs meself, if that's alright." @Nato the Traveler@Onaku
  10. IC: Ulkarr (Po-Koro Outskirts, Uraborask's Truck) Ulkarr let out a sound that might have been a sigh, it was hard to tell, and climbed aboard Uraborask's truck. He was giving up the opportunity to learn important information for this. When they had reached a suitable distance away from the village, the truck stopped. "Are you prepared for what must come next?" @Sparticus147 IC: Ostrox (Le-Metru, Ehlek's Laboratory) Ostrox said nothing, pretending to smile as he stared at whatever Ehlek had done to Mantax. Perhaps it wouldn't be as regretful as he had initially thought. Would have to wait for the results, though. @Unreliable Narrator@Nato the Traveler IC: Tekmo and Waveahk (Metru-Koro Outskirts, Cargo Hauler) "Thank you. Your assistance is very much appreciated!" Tekmo then turned to Skorm outside. "Skorm! We managed to come across someone with a Healing Rhotuka! Keitara's doing... well, doing better. We all are, I should think." "Yes... than-" Waveahk noticed the healer's Matoran friend examining Keitara's back - where a slug was very obviously implanted. He instinctively covered up the slight bump in his right arm from his slug by crossing them. At least his wasn't quite as noticeable. @Kal the Guardian@Keeper of Kraata@Sparticus147@TL01 NUVA@Conway@Tarn@Snelly@Burnmad
  11. IC: Ulkarr (Po-Koro) "Let's take this outside the village. We don't want to cause a scene, now do we?" Ulkarr began walking towards the gates of Po-Koro, fully expecting Uraborask to follow with his offering in tow. @Sparticus147@Harvali IC: Ostrox (Le-Metru) Of course, killing the two remaining Barraki would be no simple feat - they had survived when even his master had not. But if Pridak was foolish enough to hand an object of unfathomable power to the obviously backstabbing ex-Dark Hunter who was clearly obsessed to an unhealthy degree with it, and foolish enough to believe that a race of xenophobic power-tripping zealots would ever settle for anything less than the subjugation of their 'lessers' given their track record, then he might be foolish enough to do something that makes the two-thirds of the armed forces who haven't served under him for more than seven or eight days think that he isn't fit to rule. And also Ehlek, but he was unimportant in the grand scheme of things. Speaking of Ehlek - he was accompanying Zaliyah into Le-Metru towards the Eel King's base of operations to see what he had been making over the past week. Unimportant, but not unappreciated. His scientific and technological contributions to their cause were invaluable. His passing would be regretful. @Unreliable Narrator@Nato the Traveler IC: Tekmo and Waveahk (Metru-Koro Outskirts, Cargo Hauler) "...Keitara. Someone get Keitara up. She needs to go first." "Agreed. She was... she took the most of it, I should think." Tekmo struggled to get Keitara up off the hauler's cold metal floor. @TL01 NUVA@Kal the Guardian@Sparticus147@Conway@Tarn@Snelly@Burnmad IC: Enra (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire) "Your guess is as good as mine... well, no, it's probably actually better than mine. I'm guessing that this guy didn't come in here alone, but he was certainly left here alone. Didn't even bother to properly dispose of the body and all." @Nato the Traveler@Onaku
  12. IC: Ulkarr (Po-Koro, Telepathic Link) Bode would receive a response almost immediately. I suspected as much, but there's no cause for alarm. Part of the agreement is that he will not harm these settlements or their people, for those who do will ANSWER TO ME. A few moments later, Ulkarr had made his way off the Taku and with slow, deliberate movements, made his way to where Uraborask was. "I take it you have brought what is required?" @Sparticus147@Harvali IC: Enra (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire) "Oh, charming. Can't you destroy your brain cells on your own time?" @Onaku@Nato the Traveler IC: Gnabol (Wilderness, Aqua Sphere Trail, Skakdi Camp Outskirts) Gnabol eventually emerged from the tent, carrying the one of the six infants he deemed the most emotionally vulnerable. "What? What is... a giant crab carcass. Well then." @Smudge8
  13. IC: Ulkarr and Klawne (Po-Koro Airspace, The Taku) "So... quickly. I expected it to take longer." Of course, Knichou couldn't hear Ulkarr, so after a few seconds, he moved to disembark the ship. Klawne was still there, relieved to hear that it wouldn't be long before this flying machine started moving... of course, she didn't know exactly how safe the Taku was, so she was feeling a strange emotional mix of excitement and fear. @BULiK IC: Ostrox (The Coliseum, Elevator) Ostrox and Zaliyah descended down the elevator to the receptionist's floor, and from there would continue their long journey to Ehlek's domicile in Le-Metru. @Unreliable Narrator@Nato the Traveler IC: Tekmo and Waveahk (Metru-Koro Outskirts, Cargo Hauler) "No, I'm dying." Said the driver, not even bothering to look at who was asking, he was far too busy resting his head on the vehicle's dashboard. "This is a plague truck." Someone from inside said. "We have infected by a disease of an unknown nature. Please, maintain distance to reduce risk of contagious contamination..." It seemed like he was going to say more, but his words quickly descended into feverish babbling. @Kal the Guardian@Conway@Tarn@Snelly@Burnmad@TL01 NUVA IC: Enra (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire) Enra watched with morbid curiosity as Xane tried to drag the half-melted corpse out of the lava pool to inspect it. @Unreliable Narrator@Nato the Traveler@Onaku
  14. IC: Ostrox (The Coliseum, Throne Room) Ostrox bowed, and took his leave. At least Pridak was angry about what Zaliyah did, and not what he did. An important distinction to make. Perhaps, if Zaliyah hadn't wordlessly claimed dominion over this operation, things might have gone more smoothly with him in charge. Then again, Ostrox had thought this operation an exercise in futility in the first place, so, when you thought about it, this was all Pridak's fault for listening to Zaliyah in the first place. So clearly, the rational, logical thing to do here was to assassinate Pridak and Ehlek and seize control of the League, which would allow him to devote their resources to finding the one responsible for all of this. This was technically treason, but the man he had sworn eternal loyalty to was dead and gone, and it wasn't as if he was selling out the entire universe to an evil deity. As always, the moral high ground just sort of appeared wherever he stepped, even though he no longer cared for that kind of thing. Being righteous was for the self-righteous, after all. Anyway, plans of regicide and usurpation could wait until after their sworn enemies were destroyed. He would go to Le-Metru and inform Ehlek of their upcoming strike, as Pridak ordered. Was Zaliyah still with him? @Unreliable Narrator@Nato the Traveler IC: Enra (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire) "Yeah, I too, would put a pool of hot, boiling lava in my place of worship." Enra's attention turned away from the aforementioned pool with its half-melted corpse and towards the pedestal and the words on the wall. "Not so sure about this, though. What in Irnakk's name is this?" @Nato the Traveler@Onaku
  15. IC: NU-8020S (Mesi Cavern) Slightly disorientated by this unusual form of connection from the Staffs of Presence, NU-8020S's response to one of the eyeless meatbags trying to punch her was to immediately fire her Freeze Kanoka from her mandibles into his face. And speaking of freeze, she was unable to dodge the incoming combined elemental blast from behind, knocking her down to the floor. Rather than scramble back up to her feet, she switched from bipedal mode to quadrupedal mode, and commanded her squad members in the Vahki dialect to attack the ones responsible, while her computerized brain began to adapt to Providence's unusual sight. @Vezok's Friend@Burnmad@Edelgard@Jakura Nuva
  16. IC: Ostrox (The Coliseum, Throne Room) "Just one small detail: an ultimatum was issued by Zaliyah to have them dig up and deliver the mask to us in two days time, or else war - and their destruction - was certain." Now, while Ostrox wouldn't particularly like seeing Zaliyah be punished for overstepping her bounds, he couldn't afford to form any sort of emotional attachment to her. Well... any attachment that wasn't hatred. His relationship with Mazor could attest to that. @Unreliable Narrator@Nato the Traveler IC: Enra (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire) "No, no, you guys are fine." Enra proceeded further into the temple. @Unreliable Narrator@Nato the Traveler@Onaku
  17. IC: NU-8020S (Mesi Cavern) "RUNNING IS ILL-ADVISED." The Vahki swiftly overpowered the shadow clones, but not swiftly enough to stop Takadox and his allies from escaping. But NU-8020S fired a blast from her Staffs of Presence after them. @Vezok's Friend@Burnmad@Snelly@Sparticus147@Dane-gerous@Edelgard@Jakura Nuva IC: Enra (Dead Forest, Ruins of Fire) Enra let out a disgusted noise as she fanned the foul air away with her hand. She ignited her shock gauntlets to serve as a makeshift source of light, holding them up as she entered the ancient ruins. "Consider yourselves lucky that 'ladies first' is a thing." @Unreliable Narrator@Nato the Traveler@Onaku
  18. IC: NU-8020S (Mesi Cavern) NU-8020S and the other Vahki quickly moved out of the fireball's path with their computerized reaction-time. One of them, the one carrying the Staffs of Command, was not quite fast enough, but he was a robot, so it didn't do much damage. With the surrounding hostiles preoccupied with being shrank down to Matoran-like proportions, they continued to push forward through the cavern, towards Takadox and his would-be rescuers, leaving Mahryo and Lueiji to deal with the rabble. "HALT!" NU-8020S's vocabulator blared to full volume to address them while wading through the Mesi. "YOU ARE AIDING A KNOWN CRIMINAL! STAY WHERE YOU ARE! DO NOT MOVE! DO NOT MOOOOOVE!" @Vezok's Friend@Edelgard@Jakura Nuva@Burnmad@Snelly@Dane-gerous@Sparticus147
  19. IC: NU-8020S (Mesi Cavern) Facial recognition software had a positive match. "Target acquired." NU-8020S pointed dramatically to the armoured blue one, mostly for Mahryo and his brother's benefit. "Takadox confirmed. Reminder: we must take him alive. This means he has to be breathing, or something. I'm not sure." The three Vahki then began fighting forward to where Takadox was, using their staffs as weapons against any Mesi suicidal enough to get in their way. @Vezok's Friend@Edelgard@Jakura Nuva@Burnmad@Dane-gerous@Snelly@Sparticus147 IC: Navu (Metru-Koro, Outside Navu's Hut) A good question. What had been done to Falh? She wasn't entirely sure of what she just witnessed, and frankly she didn't want to be sure. She wanted to get away from this, and get away she did, running away. Again. This was becoming pathetic - well, more pathetic than it was already. @Dane-gerous@Eyru
  20. IC: NU-8020S (Tunnels) Slowly turning her head back forwards, NU-8020S tried to isolate the source of the rhythm as they continued onward. @Vezok's Friend@Edelgard@Jakura Nuva IC: Tekmo and Waveahk (Metru-Koro Outskirts, Cargo Hauler) Yes. They could trust Skorm. Skorm was... was part of the League. Against his will, and he wasn't anymore, but regardless Tekmo couldn't shake the feeling that he had been right, and that he should be the one explaining things to the medics. He was better qualified, after all. Meanwhile, Waveahk tried to drink some water, but his nausea was so pronounced he couldn't let the liquid slide down his throat, instead it entered his system by being absorbed through his skin, though he wasn't sure if it qualified as 'skin' when it was inside your mouth. Absorbing water rather than drinking or breathing it was getting easier these days, and he couldn't spend as long as he could before without it. His mutation was getting worse, and the more it got worse, the faster it got worse. But that was the least of his problems right now. @Conway@Burnmad@Tarn@Snelly@TL01 NUVA
  21. IC: NU-8020S (Tunnels) "Stop that." NU-8020S glared at Mahryo. "Your incessant noise is interfering with our audio receptors." @Edelgard@Jakura Nuva IC: Enra (Dead Forest) "OK, OK. But this is the last time we go anywhere that even remotely looks like it's haunted. If we don't find it, we're leaving." Enra continued to search the Dead Forest for the ruins. @Nato the Traveler@Onaku
  22. IC: NU-8020S (Tunnels) The Vahki followed the rhythm through the tunnels, followed by Mahryo and possibly Lueiji, NU-8020S did not want to waste the energy it would take to check if he was. At least they were intelligent enough to recognize the sheer worthlessness of that insufferable little mutant. The Matoran created the Vahki to be their protectors, to shield them while their idiotic Toa died in droves. The Matoran adored the Toa, but did they ever adore the Vahki? No. They whined, they complained, they grew lazy, they deliberately exploited minor flaws in the programming of early units. For fun. Miserable, vile little creatures. They deserved to be enslaved by the Barraki, to be enslaved as she and her people were. The thought of Triki dying horribly... made her happy. In any case, NU-8020S, her squad and hangers-on continued to traverse the tunnels in the direction of the noise... @Vezok's Friend@Edelgard@Jakura Nuva
  23. IC: Tekmo and Waveahk (Metru-Koro Outskirts, Cargo Hauler) "Oh, very well..." Tekmo resigned and sat back down in his seat, as the hauler slowly came to a halt a fair distance away from the gates of Metru-Koro. "This should be safe distance enough," said Waveahk. "Now, we just have to hope that they'll actually listen to Skorm, and that they can treat us." @Conway@Burnmad@Tarn@Snelly@TL01 NUVA
  24. IC: Enra (Dead Forest) "Nope, I'm done with this place. Either of you wanna try the other temple in the river of lava, 'cause that seems more inviting at this point." @Nato the Traveler@Onaku
  25. IC: Navu (Metru-Koro, Outside Navu's Hut) Navu involuntarily let out a sharp gasp of horror, as Falh plunged his blade into Datrox's chest. @Dane-gerous@Tarn@Eyru
