Okay so revisiting this thread: I work at a Bricks and Minifigs now, I've only been there for about 2 weeks, part time, so my experience is limited, however, I've noticed a fair amount of kids coming in asking for Bionicle. Some got hand-me-downs and wanna expand the collection, some just know the lore from YouTube. Idk, maybe it's just because it was spring break this last week, so I suppose it could explain an influx of bored kids looking at old things, plus confirmation bias by literally working in a store that only sells Lego product, but I'm amazed, probably had 5 kids versus 2 adults ask for it in the last 4 days alone. Take from that what you will, I guess?

Kill Everybody by Skrillex - Velika. Idk how, but if became an inside joke for me to associate the song with him. The high pitched voice, the "I want to kill everybody in the world." It's simple, surface level, but it works IMO lol. I Am Machine by Three Days Grace. Think it fits with the general vibe of realizing heroes aren't flawless. My mind mostly goes to the Toa Mata, but I think it works for all teams in some way. I Want To Save The World, the Jetta cover, Matstubs remix. It kinda makes me think of 2007? This one's an odd choice: Bionicle by Sophie Hunter. What does it have to do with Bionicle? Idk. I think she just liked how the word flowed. But by god, I desperately want to do an art video of Roodaka set to this song. There's one part that goes "I cannot be more iconic, it's the start of the chronicle, got him bricked up, Bionicle." Idk, I need to hunt down a Roodaka for my lego collection, and I need to draw her, I have a silly tiktok idea for this single snippet of audio lol. On that note, You Call Me A B***h Like It's a Bad Thing by Halestorm for Roodaka. To Be Loved by Papa Roach for Sidorak. Are they slightly off choices? Maybe. But also part of my humor is playfully summing things up slightly incorrectly. I can't even give a good reason, just surface vibes. Sandra by Holy Holy for Takanuva. It tells the story of a trans woman- and it just so happens to work extremely well, right down to using a mask as an allegory. By Myself by Linkin Park. This one is kind of a cheat, if you know you know. But due to its use in a single test animation, it can't escape my Bionicle playlist. No One by Cold for Kopaka. Headstrong by Trapt for Tahu. This Is War by 30 Seconds To Mars. I can't pinpoint it. But I can see it. Mostly for when Makuta takes over the GSR, and the ensuing fight/freedom/epilogue. Perhaps it's simply overused in fandom spaces, or at least it was when I was younger and AMVs were still a thing. Welcome Home by Coheed and Cambria (instrumental specifically.) Whenever I hear this one, I envision that the "home" in question is a welcoming to the underworld. Fitting for Karzahni, the location and the being. Towards the Sun by Rihanna. I'm just imagining this as the matoran universe inhabitants migrate to Spherus Magna. Open Up Your Eyes by Bea Miller. A story about growing up? Moving on? Seemingly some destiny stuff? Easily the McToran/Toa Inika. On the opposite end of the genre spectrum, Point of No Return by Starset also works. Obligatory: Monster Skillet, Animal Three Days Grace, Freak on a Leash, Break Stuff Limp Bizkit, Down With The Sickness Disturbed all for the Toa Hordika. For whatever reason also, the Toa Hordika give me Nu Metal vibes.

The last few months have been hectic. I've certainly slowed down a bit. I have a few new pics to post, as well as some semi-off topic pics that I've done recently to relieve stress. I got laid off from my job, last day is Friday- hopefully I'll have more free time for a bit. 😅 Got a little bit of everything. Bionicle, Ninjago, Unikitty, Dreamzzz, Elves, even Friends! Plus a bonus Ninjago doodle that tbh I don't wanna start a new topic for lol

Been a while since the last update! Been super busy, got promoted at my job. Going from a weekends only cashier to a full time assistant manager has been quite the whiplash lol. Alright, finally, the real update lol. 101-3 were all drawn together, since there were three very distinct types of requests that I got, so why not release them all at once. Daisy Kaboom from City Adventures, Jimi Stringer from Hero Factory, and Ragana from Elves!

A very important update. We had another pic of Tahu, Olivia from Friends, Jack Stone, Nick Bluetooth from Galidor, Emily from Elves, and Furno from Hero Factory. :3 (ignore that this is at least an hour late for April Fools depending on where you live lol)

Aaand many weeks later, here we are. First off, Scott is on the list of characters to do! Have I ever mentioned that it's like, 2-300 characters? Been a minute since I last looked at the list tbh lol. Now, far as this little round, we got: Dareth, Skylor, Ronin, Beatrix (all from Ninjago), Azure Lion (Monkie Kid), Mr. Oz (Dreamzzz), Good/bad/scribble Cop, President Business, Rex Dangervest, and a redrawn Emmet (all The Lego Movie), and finally, Mata Nui should need no introduction on this forum lol. I'd like to think my Mata Nui interpretation looks a lot like his toa form but at GSR scale. I've done it! I've drawn 100 of these! I'm taking suggestions on the next character. I admit I haven't been great with getting to in-demand characters, but since 101 is like a new cycle, I'm taking major input from others on this one. I think it should be a theme I haven't covered yet. Hero Factory? Friends? City? Oh also one last pic since now these make a nice 10x10 layout Thank you all for the support ❤️

I'd argue perhaps I'm barely too young/out of touch to have The Dream. I remember when Bionicle was on shelves, but I was a stubborn kid who just saw it as the weird part of Lego, so I never looked at it as a kid, thus I have no nostalgia for the sight of seeing the toys on shelves. On top of that, while I'd look at legos as a kid, I never bought any, no matter how much I loved Ninjago or anything else, so most of my nostalgia for lego tends to be related to video games and TV... ...which leads to this thing that happened a while back when I was considering doing the full deep dive on Bionicle: So...offshoot variant of the dream? I guess??? Idk someone in the Twitter replies told me this was the cruelest version of the dream they ever heard lol so I guess it counts in some capacity???

Okay so I haven't bothered chiming into this situation because it's none of my business, and it'll stay this way after this post, but likeeee...you're asking people to not publicize this situation and keep it private...while you are also, by making this post, publicizing this, and you have been making the situation very public this whole time. I, and I'm sure many others on this site, would have not been aware of this situation had you not made this a public spectacle. Just pointing that out, a little two cents. Back to silence I goooooo

Contrary to everyone else in this thread, CAN'T forget the Ben 10 sets lol. I'm a Ben 10 fan, been on the hunt for them in nearby second hand circles sort of as a joke. Nice little conversation piece for my room lol. I suppose it just depends where our interests lie, because I've never been a Star Wars fan, so I easily forget about Star Wars constraction.

Alright, small update time! It's been a while! I haven't done many of these since my previous post. I usually take a small hiatus around October, drop everything else I'm doing to do some Halloween stuff. That didn't really happen because then I had a massive irl commission to take care of for a family friend, so this in conjunction with college and retail work left me with minimal time to work on my art (and I fear it shows in some of these lol). What was supposed to be the annual October hiatus ended up lasting until the week after Christmas. Finally getting back on the horse though! Got 10 left before the big 100! Gonna do a lot of highly requested characters, characters I should've maybe done sooner, etc. We have: Clouse and Yang, probably some of the most requested Ninjago characters so far. Sweet Mayhem from TLM2. Ava, Robin, and Merlok from Nexo Knights. Aaand I've almost finished up the main Dreamzzz roster with Night Hunter and Zoey, just need to do Mr. Oz soon!
