  1. Alright, finally, the real update lol. 101-3 were all drawn together, since there were three very distinct types of requests that I got, so why not release them all at once. Daisy Kaboom from City Adventures, Jimi Stringer from Hero Factory, and Ragana from Elves!
  2. A very important update. We had another pic of Tahu, Olivia from Friends, Jack Stone, Nick Bluetooth from Galidor, Emily from Elves, and Furno from Hero Factory. :3 (ignore that this is at least an hour late for April Fools depending on where you live lol)
  3. Aaand many weeks later, here we are. First off, Scott is on the list of characters to do! Have I ever mentioned that it's like, 2-300 characters? Been a minute since I last looked at the list tbh lol. Now, far as this little round, we got: Dareth, Skylor, Ronin, Beatrix (all from Ninjago), Azure Lion (Monkie Kid), Mr. Oz (Dreamzzz), Good/bad/scribble Cop, President Business, Rex Dangervest, and a redrawn Emmet (all The Lego Movie), and finally, Mata Nui should need no introduction on this forum lol. I'd like to think my Mata Nui interpretation looks a lot like his toa form but at GSR scale. I've done it! I've drawn 100 of these! I'm taking suggestions on the next character. I admit I haven't been great with getting to in-demand characters, but since 101 is like a new cycle, I'm taking major input from others on this one. I think it should be a theme I haven't covered yet. Hero Factory? Friends? City? Oh also one last pic since now these make a nice 10x10 layout Thank you all for the support ❤️
  4. I'd argue perhaps I'm barely too young/out of touch to have The Dream. I remember when Bionicle was on shelves, but I was a stubborn kid who just saw it as the weird part of Lego, so I never looked at it as a kid, thus I have no nostalgia for the sight of seeing the toys on shelves. On top of that, while I'd look at legos as a kid, I never bought any, no matter how much I loved Ninjago or anything else, so most of my nostalgia for lego tends to be related to video games and TV... ...which leads to this thing that happened a while back when I was considering doing the full deep dive on Bionicle: So...offshoot variant of the dream? I guess??? Idk someone in the Twitter replies told me this was the cruelest version of the dream they ever heard lol so I guess it counts in some capacity???
  5. Okay so I haven't bothered chiming into this situation because it's none of my business, and it'll stay this way after this post, but likeeee...you're asking people to not publicize this situation and keep it private...while you are also, by making this post, publicizing this, and you have been making the situation very public this whole time. I, and I'm sure many others on this site, would have not been aware of this situation had you not made this a public spectacle. Just pointing that out, a little two cents. Back to silence I goooooo
  6. Contrary to everyone else in this thread, CAN'T forget the Ben 10 sets lol. I'm a Ben 10 fan, been on the hunt for them in nearby second hand circles sort of as a joke. Nice little conversation piece for my room lol. I suppose it just depends where our interests lie, because I've never been a Star Wars fan, so I easily forget about Star Wars constraction.
  7. Apologies if this is the wrong part of the forum to advertise this, mods feel free to remove this, but in light of some recent irl issues, I'd like to advertise that I take art commissions. This is a rough idea of what my prices are, of course, I am willing to do Bionicle as well as anything else Lego under the sun, Lego stuff is my primary specialty, I do have more examples of my work in this thread, plus my social medias linked on my page. These prices are just rough estimates, depending on what you're looking for, I'm willing to lower/raise prices accordingly. Feel free to contact me here or on other platforms, I do take Paypal as payment. Also, small correction, as this is somewhat of an old sheet, but if desired, I can send physical goods such as the commissioned artwork as pins or prints. (Would offer stickers but I currently need to fix my sticker machine- will update this tidbit upon fixing it.) Prices listed are USD.
  8. Alright, small update time! It's been a while! I haven't done many of these since my previous post. I usually take a small hiatus around October, drop everything else I'm doing to do some Halloween stuff. That didn't really happen because then I had a massive irl commission to take care of for a family friend, so this in conjunction with college and retail work left me with minimal time to work on my art (and I fear it shows in some of these lol). What was supposed to be the annual October hiatus ended up lasting until the week after Christmas. Finally getting back on the horse though! Got 10 left before the big 100! Gonna do a lot of highly requested characters, characters I should've maybe done sooner, etc. We have: Clouse and Yang, probably some of the most requested Ninjago characters so far. Sweet Mayhem from TLM2. Ava, Robin, and Merlok from Nexo Knights. Aaand I've almost finished up the main Dreamzzz roster with Night Hunter and Zoey, just need to do Mr. Oz soon!
  9. You had me at Ninjago, sold me at Galidor. Surprised no one's done that yet, even as a joke. (Or maybe someone has idk lol.) I don't have the parts to do any MOCs of the sort, but here's to hoping you gave someone an idea.
  10. Okay so I don't really like to start rumors, see my prior debunk of the rumors in this thread, but I do have a theory. Idk where else to post this or if it's worth starting a new thread for. The January 2024 Ninjago sets have a mix and match gimmick ala Galidor glinching. Which, we can argue we can do this with all Lego, but still, it makes it easy for kids to swap limbs without dismantling the entire thing. Also idk, I feel like these mechs look more humanoid than usual? Like, something about the proportions, you usually only see them on the bigger mechs- but these are smaller and again, got that limb gimmick. Maybe it IS just a gimmick for the one line. But, IIRC Ninjago's serpentine were used to test the market for Chima. I wonder if they're trying to test the waters for a new action figure type line, if not new Bionicle? Because I can see how this approach absolutely could lend itself well to Bionicle while also maintaining the brick system. Just make new molds for the masks at least and it'd probably work out. Food for thought I guess, nothing too serious nor remotely concrete.
  11. Alright, update time! We're at 82 finished lego men! I was holding off on posting these here until I had more done but then I paused and went "wait...there's already 17 I haven't posted." I guess next time you hear from me it'll be for #100! On that note, who should be number 100? I'm thinking Mata Nui, if not, President Business maybe. Anyways, we got Takanuva, Makuta Teridax, Metalbeard, Vitruvius, Ninjago's new characters (+some old characters I neglected at the start of the project), most of the main Dreamzzz cast, Cragger, Iron Fan + DBK, and one of my favorites here, Monstrox! Where I get to pretend Nexo Knights actually had a s5!
  12. Thanks! ^-^ I plan on it soon actually! Due to all the characters I need to finish up here, when I'm done with the current batch I'll be really close to #100! So leading up to the big 100, in those remaining few numbers, I plan on covering Skylor and a few other surprise characters.
  13. My two cents as an older gen z kid: I'm a bit out of touch since I am like, a whole adult, but I do live with and take care of two younger siblings. One of the biggest IPs among kids these days is Five Nights At Freddy's. Do you all know how wild the lore of that stuff is? How obsessed kids are over the lore of these games? I think with the right marketing, Bionicle could be pulled off again, maybe even with something similar to g1, since now with the internet, it should be easier for kids to access the full lore. Again, I point to FNAF. Neither of my youngins have even played the games yet they're all over the lore. I was born a year after g1 started. I was a judgemental little kid who just saw Bionicle as the "weird" part of lego, and I don't think it helped that the lore wouldn't have been fully available to me. I was like, 8 when g1 ended. At this time, the concept of shoving an iPad with unrestricted internet access in your kid's face wasn't a thing yet, so computer time was still a special thing, so surely even if I was interested in Bionicle then, I couldn't just go online and read the serials, etc etc. So maybe it'd work out for this gen if say, instead of comics and serials, it got webisodes like a lot of toylines these days. And I don't just mean some little online animations like previous gens, I mean tell most of the story through one source, one series of webisodes, where it's all easy to access in one place. That or a full length, proper series, but again, keep it all in one place. Maybe some new little mobile games too, just like MNOG. Get those kids looking for every little easter egg in the game, use it for foreshadowing, but don't make it vital to understanding what's going on, just have it there so kids can make theories. Also like, clean up the lore a bit and don't do what g2 did lol. And trust me, even if a kid buys a toy and drops it after five minutes, if it's attached to a piece of media, they'll still be interested and will probably want more toys, and a sale is always a sale. (I mean, there are still new toylines popping up and sticking around. As a general toy collector, I've seen plenty of new franchises and reboots pop up in this decade alone that are still going and honestly, a three year run isn't too bad the more I learn about a million toylines that flopped even before the digital age.) I think there are very few things that just can't work today. Bionicle could work, but I do think Lego is to blame to an extent. Ninjago and Monkie Kid do well, they're clearly evergreen until they eventually go the way of Bionicle too. Otherwise, there's one original story/big bang theme that'll run alongside those (Chima, Nexo Knights, Hidden Side, now Dreamzz), then the sorta generic things like City and Friends. There are outliers, but I think this is a solid description of everything non-licensed. I don't know what it would take for Lego to want to revive Bionicle. I'd say the implosion of one of their other originals, but no, because those all seem to fill some sort of vital role. We have the slice of life stuff (City, Friends), the big cool action theme that can adapt to other aesthetics (Ninjago), and the new theme at the moment that's there for the kids that don't like City or Ninjago (Dreamzzz). I think Bionicle will only return if Lego feels they need that hole filled once again, but I guess currently it's occupied by those buildable Marvel figures and what have you. That said, I don't think it's completely impossible. Also, veering away from the topic of what would interest kids, I could also see Lego dropping a small Bionicle line aimed at older fans. Maybe a single set to test the waters (maybe that's what the GWP was, who knows!), but I don't think it's entirely dead nor impossible to bring back. Idk maybe I'm just talking out of my rear with a heavy dose of hopeful thinking though lol.
  14. Iirc Nexo Knights was confirmed to not be one of the realms by one of the co-creators. Not entirely sure what the reasoning was, although it is worth noting that apparently Chima being one of the realms was just tossed in as a joke/cameo but now it's just kinda stuck. It wasn't really meant to have massive lore implications...but it did anyways lol. So I guess there just wasn't an opportunity to really crack that Nexo Knights joke. Dreamzzz I think has a strong possibility (for now) due to the aforementioned promos. Plus the heavy emphasis on the dream realm its release coincides with Ninjago DR, which is about realms. Crossover event at some point, maybe? Who knows. PM/Atlantis/Pharaoh’s Quest/Alien Conquest/Dino Attack 2012 I think maybe could've been a possibility way back when, since back then most themes were connected in playful little ways like this. Though, far as I'm aware, even back then, Ninjago was fairly isolated from all those cheeky little crossovers. Would be neat if at some point there's some sort of reference to that at least to call back to the era Ninjago started in. Or really any of the other themes listed since they're around that timeframe, but I like the idea of acknowledging that huge crossover.
  15. Alrighty, update post I guess. I didn't get everything I wanted done but I got most of the important stuff. Who I did get done: the rest of the Toa Mata/Nuva. Mei, Sandy, Tang, Pigsy, Wukong, and Red Son from Monkie Kid. Unikitty. Jestro from Nexo Knights. I might still revise the Toa later on. I'm not fond of Kopaka's lack of a neck (it was a perspective thing but just turned out weird) and the thing with Gali, Pohatu, and Onua is that I showed up to one craft fair with only half the Toa done, leading to complaints. So I had to rush the aforementioned three done so I could have them ready to sell as pins (where their major flaws wouldn't be noticeable) for another fair only a week later. That said, since I'm doing more fairs and such throughout the year, I will continue to pick at major characters for the next month or two just so I can say I have them in stock. Now I need to knock out: Takanuva, Mata Nui, Makuta Teridax. Craggar from Chima. The kids + main antagonist from Dreamzzz. Iron Fan + DBK (one pic) and Azure Lion from Monkie Kid. Metal Beard from TLM. And of course, I need to do Ninjago's new ninjas since they're here to stay. Only 14 more to knock out! Then I go back to spinning the wheel yippeeeeee
  16. It's definitely a hoax. I saw the Ninjago leaks, and while I heard about the Bionicle ones, I didn't know they were from the same person. So for starters that set off some red flags in my mind because all the Ninjago info was about the show, and Bioncle was, from what I heard, about sets, and those are two different departments. Like, when Ninjago set leaks pop up, we get just that, set info, we don't get storyline info beyond what's on the package. So it'd be odd for one person to have info on both, unless they're getting their leaks from two sources. (Maybe leaked emails? But that's a stretch.) Anyways, the nail in the coffin, the "leaker" cited their source as a fairly prolific person in the Ninjago fandom. This person did help one of the co-creators write a level two canon novel, and they helped write a single Ninjago video, but according to at least one person, they never worked on the show. He almost did, but it didn't happen due to some rather nasty allegations. And even if he did get the job, it would've been super recent, he wouldn't have info on stuff like Ninjago Crystalized. Finally, the "source" has no history of reliable leaks. Also, most of the leaked info definitely seemed to be focused on Ninjago, Bionicle must've been tacked on to get a rise out of people.
  17. Alrighty, we got Lady Bone Demon from Monkie Kid aaaand of course, Tahu! I ended up swapping the original plan and made miss Bone Demon my birthday present to myself since I love a good skeleton motif lol. Onto to Tahu though, I tried to incorporate a bit of everything, even if it didn't make canon sense, including a bit of g2 influence! Also I had to pay homage to his 2001 artwork.
  18. Decided to not post last week's here just so I can kill two birds in one stone, idk how my mind works lol, but anyways, did MK from Monkie Kid last week, and this week I celebrated doing 50(!!!) unlegoings by doing Wyldstyle. Also may double dip this week since it's my birthday and I guess it's become a tradition for me to post something unrelated/fandom related on that day. So I'll probably knock out Tahu on my bday then do whoever the wheel lands on on Friday. Might do this a few more times in the coming month or so because I have a few craft fairs to take care of in the next few months and I wanna make sure I have all the important/relevant lego stuff ready to sell (Monkie Kid, Bionicle, Lego Movie...think I hit most of the super important Ninjago stuff already lol), but for this upcoming week, I'm gonna use my birthday as an excuse to prep for that lol.
  19. Aaand we got Nexo Knights! Now I return to spinning the wheel.
  20. This is so cute and the beading is nice, I hope you get to make the bridal gown!
  21. This week we got Vania from Ninjago. Already spun the wheel and I'll start knocking out the main five Nexo Knights next week. And finally, after much feedback over the months, I've finally caved and added Bionicle to the wheel. Idk when I'll actually get to them due to the randomized nature of this project, but I added the Toa Mata, Makuta Teridax, Mata Nui, and Takanuva. May add more but as I was going through the important/coolest ones it quickly tallied up to 30+ slots, so I'm starting with a handful for now. (The Toa Mata, whenever I hit them may be treated like how I'm treating the Nexo Knights, back to back, not splitting up the team. Idk how I'll approach that for other groups though, might still keep the Toa Inka and Toa Metru together I dunno) Also not really part of this project but I might've had a variant of the Bionicle dream and drew that out lol (it might be part of what compelled me to finally put them on the list)
  22. Yesss!!! I originally wanted to add Rock Raiders (and adjacently, Power Miners) to the list because I knew they were fan favorites, but I also realize most of my social media audience is my age (late teens-early 20s) and most of us are attached to the more recent era of Lego lol. I can add them right now. Was definitely a thrill doing Rocket Racer and made me wanna do more classic characters. Far as Rocket Racer goes, I tried pulling inspiration from a bit of everything. While his Stuntz fig may be the most apparent, his logo, leg pattern, and parts of his hair are based on his original design, then the random little star came from his little Evel Knievel looking design from Racers 2, as well as the pink visor on the helmet. Also his belt and arm patches came from the Race Car Guy blind bag.
  23. Alright got two this week: Rocket Racer from Lego Racers (he was a commission piece) and Macaque from Monkie Kid
  24. Machia from Ninjago! On a side note, I'm considering opening a commission thread on here, trying to gather money for school (some emergencies came up and I had to pull a bit from my college savings), idk, if this small tidbit is against the rules I'll remove it, just wanted to gauge some interest.
  25. Benny from the Lego Movie Funny little story about this one, he didn't have eyebrows for most of the drawing process, since on most (all?) minifigs and for most of the movie he has none. I added some tiny ones in last minute with the justification that he sometimes had eyebrows lol. This caused great debate among my family.
