  1. The good news is that you now have a second chance. Brickshelf has been saved, as you have probably heard by now. Also, I have updated the thread with the new third comic!
  2. That's a very cute design. I love it.
  3. Bionicle was very about that mix of acid techno, orchestra, rock, and music from cultures most closely associated with native tribes (especially in the pacific/Indonesian area), and middle-eastern groups. Of course, I admit it was likely in that vaguely appropriative Hollywood way, based on how the lawsuit involving the use of words like "Tohunga" went down. Gathering music that feels like that takes some searching, but I can think of some examples.
  4. Taiku's Bonkle Comics! Hi, folks. I was a member of BZPower in the early 2000s who uploaded comics and animations to Brickshelf and shared them here. When I realized Brickshelf was shutting down around January, I started searching the site and reuploading the fan-made comics that made me laugh to this tumblr blog. Bionicle sprite comics were a huge part of my childhood. I absolutely loved reading the official Bionicle comics. I have tons of nostalgia for logging on to BZPower, and then reading and watching the funny things people put online. Eventually, I would read sprite comics from other franchises. For the past few decades, I have been teaching myself how to improve at art and program games. I could just post my comics to my tumblr blog, but tumblr is a social media website, and those sites have designs that can stress me out. I know posting here won't be the same as it was in the early 2000s, but I do hope that I can bring joy to others here, both by sharing my art and looking through creations made by others. Old Art Until the Brickshelf links break... You'll be able to find my old comics (or what's left of them) here. I also ran an animated series called BZ Wars. I animated chapters 1 and 3. Chapters 2 and 4 were animated by Cee-Estee. Finally, there's a 5-minute animation about Taiku. But it's basically the plot of the Mata Nui Online Game. New Comics! Taiku and Myahi are two Matoran who venture out to start a new life in Ga-Koro as delivery boys for the United Delivery Network. The job is sure to be packed with adventure, shipped with danger, and carried out without one of those sticky notes stating they'll come back another time. They'll come to learn that the real journey is the friends they'll make along the way. You'll be on the edge of your seat! That is, until you realize that this series doesn't have an update schedule. How's that for a synopsis? Hm. Fell flat at the end? Bent corners, you say? Are you sure it said fragile? We'll get it right, next time, in Taiku's Bonkle Comics! Comic 1: Comic 2: Comic 3: I'll continue updating these thread whenever I create more. Thank you for reading!
