Don't click any of the links provided here unless you want to get signed out. Yep, that's right, they all take you back to the old forums. Just a heads up for anyone that randomly clicks on weird links.

In other news, the next RPG Contest will be in December, which gives us all lots of time to play in the Day Run! And also it provides time for me to work on Dreamland, which really means I'll wait until December and then frantically try to upgrade it for the contest.

I've fallen asleep. I keep drifting deeper and deeper inside of my head. All these years, and yet I do not wake. Nor do I feel the slightest tug of reality. I just continue deeper into unconsciousness.

Lately, my dreams have been filled with the visions of friends long forgotten, and enemies forcefully forgotten. For some reason, I feel as if I am settling at the deepest reaches of a trance put upon me a lifetime ago. Finally, I feel that I can begin the long journey to recovering.

But although things now feel more like I believe life used to be, I no longer trust what I know to be my dream version of friends. They almost feel too real. And the sting of the enemy's weapons grows increasingly painful. Yet still, I do not wake.

So, all my friends with me, I dream.

That would be my slightly reworked opening for Dreamland. I just went through, making adjustments. Hopefully soon, I will start making the changes that I need to make.

Ok, so it appears that my entry of Dreamland has come third! I am shocked, to say the least. I never actually thought that one of my RPGs would ever win. As such, I am so not prepared to lauch it. Adding to this, I will have limited time on my laptop today, but rest assured that I will try my hardest to get it up as soon as possible.

So much to do! And so little time! Only three months to work with!

Ok, so, once again another RPG contest is upon us. The entry period is already half over, and a bunch of awesome RPGs have already been posted. Dreamland has once again been entered as Dreamland: Awakening (My first sequel! (Plus my first RPG ever)) Something tells me that it has no chance this contest. Then again, last contest it didn't stand a change either and it ended up beating Captian's RPG by just a few votes.

I must say that things went much slower in Dreamland than I had anticipated. Although that can be attributed to me and not being on as much as I had originally planned. But I must say that recently activity has picked up, so hopefully we'll be able to go out with a bang. If we move fast enough we'll be able to either have a very foreboding ending or a triumphant yet overwelming ending.

If we don't move at all, then the RPG will just end on a dull note.

Now, if it gets enough votes to continue on to a second season, then I hope to actually finish it up. Restrictions on moving around the map will be little to none, and we get to find/fight a bunch more awesome characters. Plus we still haven't actually found a Matoran of Sleep.

So, if possible, vote for Dreamland: Awakening when the time comes! Plus vote for the Day Run, which also needs to finish up. And don't forget Beat and Rythm! ToD has been trying to get that voted in for almost a year now. And it seems that those who actually actively reply to the Contest Topic really want it to be voted in.

Of course, so many people vote (who don't know about the RPGs) that anyone could end up winning.

And who knows, a RPG might be posted that blows all the rest of us away. I wouldn't mind to see that.

For the past five-ish weeks I have been growing a beard for the first time in my live. Wow. My hair grows fast.

And now I can say from experience, "Beards are ok." So, continuing my exploration of facial hair and my corresponding handsomeness, I just shaved it today into a Goatee. Conclusion to the current investigation: I am still amazingly good looking.

    Next mission: Mustache.

So, now on to Video Games. I have so much to do! D=

I have Bioshock 1 and 2 to play, which freak me out and I don't know why I let my friend brainwash me into buying them. Needless to say, I have not done much in either one. I have Deadspace to play. Yeah, and I thought Bioshock was bad. Cheese, that stuff is way too scary. Aforementioned friend bought me it for Christmas. Yes, I hate him sometimes. Also needless to say, I have done even less in that game. First black zombie, boom, I stopped playing. Having Turtle Beaches (a gift from said friend for my B-day, so he's not all bad) doesn't help either, considering I can hear smurfing EVERYTHING. Why do those people speak from the walls, why? *breaks down*

I'm trying to beat MW3 on Veteran, which is really just when I feel like it. Except for buying everything in Survival (and the new add on achievements), I just need to get those Veteran achievements and then I'll have 1000 gamerscore for all MW games. Ghost lives.

I also started to play through Black Ops on Veteran just to mix things up a little. Let me just say that I like MW3 way better than how Black Ops plays and feels. Still, it's weird to be playing it and not fighting zombies. Ugh, I still need the Prevent All Excavators achievement. For some reason, they no longer come anymore! Plus I have other small zombie achievements to nab.

Let's see, I also am finally just past halfway through Prince of Persia. It's a fun game. A little repetative, but I can always do other things to break it up. And I finally got Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, so I have a next game to look forward to.

Then there's Darkvoid. Wow. I've had that for almost over a year now and I still haven't put it in yet. Instead, I tell myself I have too many other games to do and to leave that one for later. So what do I do? Instead of playing said games, I play Banjo-Kazooie, the original one. Let me tell you, old school games are hard. But fun, and the humor is quirky and fun as well.

Plus, I'm considering getting Alan Wake and maybe Just Cause 2 for it's epic open world. I've heard that Alan Wake ends ubruptly, though. Still, it sounds interesting and not exactly scary.

And all this is for the xbox.

I have two Jedi Academy games for the PC to play. I have KOTOR to play too. And then there's Skyrim. Wow I love that game. I also have Halo 2 for the PC, which I never did play through on the PC. And Minecraft just doesn't end. Well, technically it does now.

For the Wii, I really need to play more Twilight Princess, but I never make the time. Actually, that's the only game for the Wii I want to play.

For the DS (well, I bought a 3DS, but I have no 3D games. ) I just finished Monster Tale, which was a cute game and I loved Chomp. I have a bunch of unfinished DS games, but right now I'll probably focus on Pokemon Platinum, which I am going through. I'm surfing to the Elite Four. And then there's Heartgold, my first Pokemon game. I restarted that for old times sake. (Old times sake being two Christmases ago) I'm so excited to hear of Black 2 and White 2. Hopefully a continuation of story and not just a seperated Gray to make money, even though the third game's existance is to make money.

What I really can't wait for, though, is Radiant Historia. I ordered it on Amazon, but they have been out of stock for months now. For the longest time it said it wasn't even available, so I jumped at the chance when they said it was just out of stock.

And that's not all! I still manage to spend time playing Reach, writing, and doing BZPower, all while admiring my looks from a conveniently placed nearby mirror.

Well, the polls are almost at a close for RPG Contest. Beat and Rhythm is doing good, as is Day Run. But Dreamland: Awakening is five votes away from making it to the next round. It needs those five votes! Don't do it for me. Do it for the sleeping Matoran. They need to be saved!

In other news, I finally finished Prince of Persia, and I got the achievement "Speed Run". I had no clue I finished it all in under twelve hours. Am I good or what? ...Don't answer that.

Now, I don't know if there are multiple endings, but I chose to save Elika, and sent Arhiman free once again. After I had just spent the whole game to trap him. Ah, love. I hate it.

Supposedly there's an epilogue? I'll have to check into it and see what's going on there.

I also got Radiant Historia, it arrived! It's really cool. And awesome. I just wish it had maps of the sections I explore instead of just an overall map. I say this because currently I am at a loss of where to go.

Also my friend keeps bugging me to get Borderlands, but I don't know... Any thoughts?
  7. Kal the Guardian
Well, maybe. If it's voted in. Stupid equal rights.

RPG Contest 24! Wow, here once again. A lot of famous dudes haven't entered RPGs yet, which improves my chances of winning and is ok by me. Although it is a little sad that they haven't yet (but not too sad). Anyway, my entry, Shifting Sands, is up and ready to be voted for as soon as the polls are live!

It is literally a sandbox. One does not simply not vote for it.

In other news, OPENING POST FOR IT!

The room sat, cloaked in shadows that restlessly swirled around a long wooden table. Three beings were all seated at the large table, silent as they read through the information on the three tablets each one was holding. The glow provided by these tablets barely was able to light up the faces of those holding them, let alone anywhere else in the room.

The one at the head of the table drummed his fingers in thought as he finished before the others. The tallest figure in the room finished reading, turned off the tablet, and sat back, spending time in thought as well. Cold eyes glinted in the darkness as the final tablet was put away. All three sat like that for awhile, contemplating the information they had just reviewed.

The one at the head of the table finally cleared his throat and spoke, “Well, the first batch went as planned. The second batch was just a deviance on a theme. Let’s see what results this third batch will grant us. Beings will be more widely ‘recruited’ this time. Would any of you like to join in on this one?”

“Negative,” the tall one said, with sort of a hissing accent.

“No,” the last one said, voice as cold as her eyes.

“Alright then,” the first one said, changing gears, “Now about this new idea of computer worlds, mind worlds, and custom made alternate dimensions. How soon can we start some testing on these theories?”

The tall one leaned forward, “We are still a decade out from perfecting the idea, but several projects are beginning to form already.”

“Yes,” the third one said, “Their form will be much like Shifting Sands. A week memory wipe before they go in, and a state of stasis if they survive and leave the world. The two most promising projects at this point are Showdown and Ocean Cruise.”

The first one smiled, grinning devilishly, “In that case, I look forward to when they become operational. Now, about the rahi species we are developing…”

The conversation continued, going on for quite some time. Evil deeds discussed in the dark, hidden behind a company of clever lies. Endless Boundaries was something else. Meanwhile, the world marched forward, oblivious.

Ok, so if Shifting Sands makes it in the contest, some things will need to be clarified. You may ask questions here, and I will answer them if they don't pertain to the story hidden away in this world.

Otherwise, I have some questions to ask you. First off, the Toa presenting the RPG, should I tell the story through him? Should he even be there? Should I have him dying to give the first person in the RPG what was given him? If he is part of the story, what element should he have? What mask? Or do you want me to "GM" sequences, and just have a character that is like everyone else's?

Possible questions from you might be do they teleport in with weapons? Yes, everyone has weapons. Can the gray sand be controlled? No. Is it nano-bots? No. What's to stop someone from camping the middle Shifter? There isn't.

So, yeah. It would be interesting if I told "GM" sequences through first person, but how would he know this stuff? Hmm... Oh, also, possible names?

Well, this is my new idea that I'll be going with for the next RPG contest. Unless people want Ocean Cruise back, that is. Anyway, here is the opening segment:

    Showdown
    An Endless Boundaries' Production
Have a rough life and want to get away to some exotic location no one has ever seen before? Want to fight until you drop with a no death guarantee? Want to explore for hidden items?
Well then, it seems Showdown is just for you! Instead of past Cruises, which only offered small adventuring options, Showdown allows so much more. Showdown is a computer program that taps into the collective imagination of a group and creates a fantasy world that, in your heads, will seem real.
This new world will then be monitored by our specialists to ensure a pleasant time is had for all. Or, if you so wish, you can be merged into a more competitive group and have a small tournament of sorts.
Any way you look at it, Showdown is right for you!

Vacation! I will not be able to get on BZPower from the 30th to the 7th of July. So that means I won't be here for the RPG Contest! Sad. And I'll also miss out on a crucial week of Day Run. So not only will I not be able to promote Shifting Sands, I won't even be able to cause trouble for Parugi. And I just know he is dissapointed about it.

So I leave it all upon everyone who reads this blog post to go out and vote/promote Shifting Sands for RPG Contest 24! Obviously Parugi is in control of my characters while I'm gone, although I have a lot. And he already has enough to worry about with finishing Day Run on time.

Also, if Shifting Sands does win, I probably won't be able to get it up on Sunday. It will be up Monday, if nothing stops me. Wait, did I say if? I meant when it wins. With Waves of the South, obviously. Because both are awesome.

So... here we go! Another tidbit from SHOWDOWN!

Well, I guess I can't complain. Showdown is everything they've said and more. Actually, it's the "more" part that I have a problem with. There appears to be a whole lot of "more" going on around here. It doesn't help much when you're in the dark about something that concerns you. In fact, it has a lot of us ready to riot. Well, once we figure out a way to. It's hard to riot when you're supposed to be the ones who came up with this whole world.

It appears our collective imagination has been "helped" along for some reason. A reason we want answers for. Of course, not everyone cares about the "more" going on. They could care less. After all, they are having the time of their lives.

I've heard that some new guys have joined us. That's just great, more greenhorns to get experimented on. I mean, this all feels like one big experiment to me. But I guess I'm just paranoid like that. Well, you never know, I have just found out I have memories being kept from me.

Me? I have reason to be paranoid. Get used to it. Welcome to Showdown.

Well, it's been awhile. I mean, at least a month or more that I haven't bothered to check this site, in depth or otherwise. Of course, my excuse is summer activities and spending at least one day a week at my friend's house or vise versa. But, with school coming up along with fall (AND HALO: REACH!!!), that means a new RPG contest is just around the bend. So I'd say it's high time I get back to work.

Ok, maybe not quite yet, I still have some summer to do. But still, I'm just letting you know I haven't drifted away, and Showdown will show up soon. Hopefully.

    Otherwise, go about your business.
