    So, as the final assessment piece for English this year, what I have to do is write a story. A story which either drips with sentimentality, or else is something of a social commentary. For obvious reasons, I've elected to do the latter.

    And why am I writing about this, you may ask? Wouldn't you know, the only idea I have at present ties the story into The Unknown Turaga Saga. That's right, comics could very well contribute to an A in English. What I have in mind acts as an introduction to the enemies in The Unknown Turaga III: The Flames of War, while not mentioning any names. Once I've got it marked and such, I could even put it on BZP.

    But first, I've actually got to write it...

    As you may or may not have guessed, I bought Krika and Onua today (or rather, sent Lai out to do the shopping for me). I'm really quite happy with them; Onua is one of the better '08 Toa Nuva sets, and Krika is just plain awesome. I would say more, but really, what needs to be said?

    Oh yes, like I showed above, Krika's Ghostblaster fires a lot further than Onua's, not to mention is louder.

    This following story, my friends, enemies, and those to whom I am indifferent, is a concise summary of why I think Mudkip is awesome.

    ~~~
    This particular Mudkip was born... I forget, some time ago... on Route 120, hatched from my not-so-awesome Championship Swampert. At birth, it knew a small number of moves passed on from its father; what they were, I forget. Being one of those types who prefers speed above all else, I specifically bred it with a Hasty nature. It was not long until I started training it up, making it AWESOME. Some time later, at around Level 60, it was part of yet another Championship team, alongside new pet projects (puntastic) like my Gardevoir and old standbys like Chuck Norris Heracross. It had achieved a small degree of WIN, but that was the beginning. After raising it to Level 65 to match Heracross and Failnado Dragonite, I decided it was time to take Mudkip to the Battle Frontier.
    When I got there, I chose to attempt the Battle Arena, just for the heck of it. It took ages, and Mudkip proved his worth every time, even where Heracross and Dragonite failed. Eventually, I got to fight Arena Tycoon Greta. Now, because this fight is so epic, I'll break it down into script form, with notes by me, m'kay?
    *drums at start of Frontier Brain battle theme*
    Awesome battle music? Oh yes.
    ARENA TYCOON GRETA would like to battle!
    Well, duh.
    ARENA TYCOON GRETA sent out HERACROSS!
    Go! HERACROSS!
    D'oh!
    Foe HERACROSS used MEGAHORN!
    HERACROSS used MEGAHORN!
    This left my Heracross with less than 2/3 HP; her Heracross barely fared better.
    Foe HERACROSS used MEGAHORN!
    HERACROSS used MEGAHORN!
    Using SALAC BERRY, the speed of Foe HERACROSS rose!
    D'oh!
    Foe HERACROSS used MEGAHORN!
    HERACROSS fainted!
    NGAWWW!
    Go! DRAGONITE!
    I'm SO screwed.
    Foe HERACROSS used ENDURE!
    DRAGONITE flew up high!
    Foe HERACROSS used ENDURE!
    DRAGONITE used FLY!
    Foe HERACROSS ENDURED the hit!
    Foe HERACROSS used REVERSAL!
    DRAGONITE flew up high!
    Nasty... This left Dragonite with around 74 HP or so.
    That's it! We will now go to judging to determine the winner!
    DRAGONITE defeated Foe HERACROSS in a judge's decision!
    Uh... yay?
    ARENA TYCOON GRETA sent out UMBREON!
    Pfft.
    DRAGONITE used DRAGON CLAW!
    Foe UMBREON used FAINT ATTACK!
    Foe UMBREON's LEFTOVERS restored its HP a little!
    DRAGONITE flew up high!
    Foe UMBREON used PSYCHIC!
    Foe UMBREON's attack missed!
    Foe UMBREON's LEFTOVERS restored its HP a little!
    DRAGONITE used FLY!
    Foe UMBREON used PSYCHIC!
    DRAGONITE fainted!
    NGAWWW!
    Do it! MUDKIP!
    Foe UMBREON's LEFTOVERS restored its HP a little!
    Uh...
    Foe UMBREON used FAINT ATTACK!
    MUDKIP used IRON TAIL!
    WHOA... that's quite a bit of impact from an unevolved starter.
    Foe UMBREON used CONFUSE RAY!
    MUDKIP became confused!
    MUDKIP is confused!
    MUDKIP used SURF!
    Foe UMBREON's LEFTOVERS restored its HP a little!
    Mudkip's Special Attack sucks... what was I thinking?
    Foe UMBREON used FAINT ATTACK!
    MUDKIP snapped out of confusion!
    MUDKIP used IRON TAIL!
    Foe UMBREON's LEFTOVERS restored its HP a little!
    This left Umbreon with around 1/4 HP left.
    That's it! We will now go to judging to determine the winner!
    MUDKIP tied the opponent UMBREON in a REFEREE's decision!
    GRETA: Oh, come on! You have to try harder than that!
    Oh, shut up.
    ~~~

    And there you have it. Conclusive proof that Mudkips are WIN. Sure, I still lost, but remember: The Umbreon failed to bring down Mudkip in the end.

    Oh, and if anyone even thinks of quoting memes...

    Well, it took me long enough, but it's done! The next chapter in The Unknown Turaga: Land of Dragons! I also got 2 new Newsroom comics!

    Meanwhile, in real life, Dougal looks nice in a shetland pony cloak. No, not my comic character. My dog. He's a neurotic Irish Wolfhound / English Mastiff.

    My brother ("Lai") has started on his BZP comic series, Lai's City Stories, and I tell you people, it looks good.

    Not a very exciting day. However, that's my favourite kind of day - I get more time to work on comics!

    Warning: Ravings about Ike abound.

    Anyway, here's what happened. In my second playthrough of Radiant Dawn, Ike's unpromoted, right? I was about halfway through Part III, in what I think is Chapter 3-5 or something; at any rate, it involved defending the throne (to stop the enemies saying the dreaded "iM iN uR bAsE" ). Ike was posted in a stairway, because he's far too win to leave on the throne.

    So this mob of Generals turned up (FYI, Generals have insane defences... ), and Ike mutilated them all. With nothing but an IRON SWORD. Which, I stress, are the second-weakest swords in the game.

    Told ya that Ike is awesome.

    I'm bored. I think I'll go get 15 posts.

    Well, it took a good 3 months of laziness, but it's finally finished. The next part in the Land of Dragons series, "On the Run" is now online awaiting your perusal. You know where to go!

    Oh, and for those of you who are Australian, the Barraki are now available at K-Mart and Big W, and have been for about a month. I would've reported it earlier, but it mind-slipped me. Maybe expect a review when Lai buys Ehlek!

    Remember what I was saying about Lai hijacking one of my latest MOCs? Well, that's been resolved very fairly, I think. B)

    You see, before I left for school today, I decided to get my work back. So, when he was in the kitchen, I snuck into his room and took it; he left it in a very obvious spot, a mistake I didn't repeat myself.

    Then, after school, I got to work reclaiming my work. To divert Lai's suspicion, I had to change the red-and-black colour scheme to red-and-silver silver and black, pardon the typo. Then I had to try to recreate the old torso, which took a lot of experimentation. The legs were somewhat Nivawk-based, yet different in a big way. The end result was, in my view, a very sleek and thin, yet mildly oversized, Toa of... something.

    I'll probably put him up on BZP sometime later. Then again, that's what I said about all my other MOCs... But this time I mean it!

    I just evolved one of my twelve Eevees into Umbreon. Now I'm trying to come up with a good competitive use for it, since I already make heavy battle use of an Espeon.

    also school in an hour D=

    ATTENTION!

    This entry contains important announcements. Important to me, and fans of my works, that is.

    The Continuing Adventures of Akhmou news

    As you may know, DudeNuva now co-writes my comedy. If he is reading this, could he please start on his first chapter? (Call me 'slave driver'. I know. )

    The Unknown Turaga news

    I am announcing an epic, following the story of The Unknown Turaga, The Unknown Turaga: The Final Battle and The Unknown Turaga: Land of Dragons.

    Movie news

    For a while, it has been known that BZP member -Aoran- will be doing the music for my movies (with a few small exceptions). Now, he has volunteered to put the whole thing together, when I complete the individual segments of the movie and PM them to him.

    That's it from T.O.T.F.E.C., Inc. Please place your comments here.

    Lai bought Toa Ignika. I've had a decent look at it, and here are some thoughts.
    The Toa himself is probably one of the better designed Pirakamod sets I've seen (besides the Piraka themselves ). He could've used some armour on the torso, but his shoulders are armoured very nicely. The Skyboard, in sheer size, is EPIC. It is seriously not what I expected, especially after the typical size of sets that price. True, most of the parts are pretty large, but really, the underside is quite intricate. Not on the level of the Bahrag, but still... The Mask of Life wasn't quite what I was expecting. I thought that perhaps it would be a bit rounder, and it's not as big as everything made it out to be. It's still pretty cool though. Now, back to that Darkrai... Need I remind you lot?

  11. Turaga Dlakii
    Yes.

    Yes!

    YES!

    I've been waiting for another contest, and the theme is rather original too. Shall we say, the song I have in mind, and the subsequent MOC idea, could very well tie into '08...

    As some of you may remember, last year I tried converting The Unknown Turaga into an epic. I think it went okay, but I simply lost interest in it. Now I plan to try it again, but this time, I'll start the story further back... about 1,300 years, to be exact.

    I plan to release it when I release LIGHT, at the start of 2008. By some amazing coincidence, the epic will start with LIGHT. I've already finished the first chapter, and I'm working on the second at the moment. Here's a preview of the first chapter of The Dlakii Chronicles.

    CHAPTER 1: DUSK GUARD

    300 years before the Great Cataclysm

    Midnight. Six small figures slowly crept down an icy mountainside. Unerringly, they traversed the crumbly rock. At a cliff edge, they halted at the signal of a green-hued Matoran in the lead.
    “Is this it?” inquired the rear Matoran, clad in red armour, a hint of impatience creeping into his loud voice.
    “Yup,” replied the leader, never looking back. “If Makuta’s information is correct - -”
    “Which it is!” a brown Matoran indignantly interjected.
    “…then there is a nest of Nui-Jaga down on that monument. Think you can hit’em from here, Dlakii?” the leader continued, turning to address a pearl-white Matoran.
    Dlakii, the Ko-Matoran, paused before slowly answering “I’ll try.”
    Dlakii strode to the edge of the cliff, pulled out a weathered bow and strung it. He placed an arrow into the bow, as he had countless times before. As he pulled back the string, a black-armoured Matoran cautioned him, “Remember, Dlakii, you don’t need to actually hit them. You just need to scare them out of their nest.”
    Aiming the bow, Dlakii impatiently told him in a cold, quiet voice, “No need to rush me, Harkha.” He pulled the string back, sweat beading from his Kanohi Kakama. Confident he had one targeted, Dlakii let the arrow fly.

    What happens next, you may ask? You'll have to wait until January 2008!

    ...For now.

    And yes, that means bye-bye to the Mudkip signoff.

    Anyway, for my next blog theme (I'm not going to re-do "Dlakii Industries HQ" for a while), I was thinking something to do with Ike and the Greil Mercenaries. Any other suggestions?
