Realized I hadn't done one of these in a while.

So, yeah, literally any topic is on the table (within bzp rules of course).

Just know that while my username is currently Nigel Thornberry, my actual understanding of zoology is rather limited. XP

So, after a few days of trading via GTS Negotiations, I somehow managed to get all of the starters for Kanto and Johto.

No, none of them are shiny.

Anyway, if anyone else here has the game and wants some pokemon, then just let me know sometime. I did put my friend code in my blog a few entries ago.

Let me know if you want an egg, special gender, special nature, etc and I'll see what I can do. No promises for nature or gender, though.

    Just to be clear:

Have: Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Cyndaqul, Totodile, Chikorita (Additonal starters: Turtwig, Torchic and Treeko).

Wants: Mudkip, Piplup, Chimchar (if you've got 'em). I'll also take pretty much whatever pokemon I don't already have in my pokedex, so you can trade me whatever.

How did I get all of these? I honestly have no clue.

It all started back before color was invented. I had a Metang from my Black version and I traded it, gave it some candy and then it mutated into thing weird thing that wore four cleats. Probably a quarter back or something. Anyway, it had this huuuge X on its face, and I was all "Dude, I bet I could get some serious monsters for this X thingy" and so I traded it for a Meganium, which married my Ditto (Third wife) and so I got Chikorita which I traded for a Cyndaquil... Long story short, I now have my own army and I'll be taking over the Unova region in due time. So, I figured I'll implant some magical high-tech chip into the eggs and when they hatch, the pokemon will be zombified slaves to my will. The problem is, ember doesn't really cut it for world domination, so that's why I'll wait for other trainers to evolve them for me. I only have so many lucky eggs, you know. Plus with the trading boost, the leveling up process will be cut.

    Brilliant.

Okay, so this is a pretty old post I made in an old topic (it just resurfaced in S&T and I was hit with a gnarly wave of nostalgia, dude! Chaa') but it's also one of my favorite posts I've ever made on this site ever. I would put it on the side of my blog somewhere, but... It's a bit lengthy, so I figured it deserves its own entry.

Here I present the absolute truth of the difference between the elements Earth and Stone! True story.

Old man winter gave us a sheet of snow yesterday. Gotta love the first few flakes of the season (unless you hate snow or have no snow)

Know what this means? The trees are barren, their skeletons exposed, the sky is turning the most desolate shade of grey and soon the corpses of all the plants will be buried beneath a ghostly white grave.

PRETTIEST TIME OF THE YEAR! 8D Makes me want to visit a cemetary. ^^ Also puts me in the mood for a nice cup of Earl Grey...

Maybe it's because I've always felt miserable around this season and I got so down I'd look for anything positive in the world, but I always find all of those things to be some of the best sights of the entire year. <3

So, I was recently debating which I liked better: Princess Tutu or Fullmetal Alchemist.

It really is a tough call for me because Princess Tutu is right up my alley, however Fullmetal is just pretty wonderful in certain points (and the way Winrey beat Al up with a wrench in Brotherhood was just so much better than what happened in the 2003 version).

I'm surprised that I never got into Fullmetal before now.

So, what do you guys nerd-out over? XP

(Also, I know I hoped to put up a set review this week, but with a whacked out sleep schedule and other obligations and traveling in a few days, it may not happen this week. =/)

Basically, to figure this out, just watch "This Time Last Week" from The Angry Beavers cartoon. XD

Dag pretty much has it pegged from what I can tell. XP

So for anyone that doesn't remember this episode/has no idea what I'm talking about, here's a synopsis:

Dag (the younger beaver by 4 minutes) decides to use a calendar that gives a brief mission every day on how to annoy your brother. The older brother, Norm, has to put up with these shenanigans (such as "being rubbed the wrong way" and "being tripped" into the lost city of Atlantis no less, suffering a bop on the head when he just wants to watch a movie, etc) all week until finally he decides to retaliate... by bopping Dag into last week. This makes Dag relive the past week over and over and over while he desperately tries to find a way out of this time loop.

It's a good watch for anyone who watched the show when they were kids (Gosh, I barely remembered it. Has it really been over a decade? O.e)

Yeah, so I've seen this new-fangled blog whatsit around lately and I figured "Eh, why not? Wait... but why do it to begin with? ... WHOA!"

Anyway, after an epic battle involving a coin flip, a rock-paper-scissors tournament, an intense eye-spy contest AND the stop-hitting-yourself game; I finally reached an agreement with myself to post this.

So, I'll answer any question with truth honesty seriousness credibility integrity and most likely all around goofiness.

I figure there are probably only like five people who bother to read this blog and out of those normally three people that bother to comment, so I should be safe from a bombardment of questions (I am so popular on BZP, I can just feel the fame... By the way, my blog has approximately twice as many views as my profile. XD).

Now then, Danny... Wait... What happened to Billy?! DANNY, WHY?!

Wow, guys, that was fast. XD

You are transported to an alternate universe where Satie's Gymnopédies do not exist. Everything else is consistent between this universe and that one. What becomes your new favorite something?

What? ... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (Seriously, I'm looking forward to the dead of winter so I can gaze into the snow while listening to that song. Best. Idea. Ever.) Anyway, my new favorite something becomes the works of Hans Christian Andersen (and don't you dare take that away from me!)

Toxic Waste Bunny or Radioactive Rabid Rabbit?

Toxic Waste Bunny! <3 It just sounds soooo cute! =3 (You can tell how thoroughly I thought that one through...)

June 31st or or September 31st?

Hmm... June 31st, I suppose. That's the last day I can make the horrendous pun "HEEEY, JUNE, DON'T MAKE IT BAAAAD!" whilst watching a certain Avatar episode and have it be on more than one level. XD

Did you not dream about farm animals?

You know, I dream about a lot of things. Farms animals, however, are not one of them, I'm sorry to say. D=

Rock-Paper-Scissors has been expanded into the much more complex Rock-Paper-Scissors-Lizard-Spock. Your are tasked with adding more to this paradigm. What do you add, what is its hand signal, what does it defeat, and what defeats it?

I was actually tempted to add the lizard and Spock to my previous allusion above. XD Appreciated. Anyway, I add in the dragon. It defeats all previous options and its signal is similar to a Spock symbol rotated 90 degrees while bending your fingers inward slightly into a claw (three digits). I also add in enchanted bunny. It is defeated by everything except for dragon; it defeats dragon. Oh, and it's signal is basically vertical scissors with flopped ears.

If a tree falls in your room, and there aren't any cats to spazz out about it, does the toaster go off?

If the cat does not spazz, the bird does not chirp. If the bird does not chirp, the dog does not laugh at such sport. If the dog does not laugh at such sport, the dish does not run away with the spoon. If the dish runs away with the fork instead, the zombie apocalypse is not initiated. If the zombie apocalypse is not initiated, the human resistance does not develop MacGyver weaponry. If the human resistance does not develop the toaster canon, then no, the toaster will not go off. It's all right there in the logic, good sir.

So, I keep hearing about all of these stories and other fictitious things that people cry over. And I don't mean everyone cries at them, but I hear actual people have actually cried at these things. You know, like Toy Story 3, The Bridge to Terabithia (book), My Little Dashie, and various other things that don't make me cry.

Yeah, I rarely, and I mean bordering on the fence between fairly seldom and never, do I cry at fiction. Movies, books, shows, comics, etc I normally keep my cool. In fact, I've only ever gotten misty-eyed at fiction. No actual tears as of yet.

Don't get me wrong, there are moments that I do cry, but then it was always something to do with reality.

So, whenever I find anything that impacts me so much that my eyes start to water, I know that it's good (well, in my opinion. I really couldn't care less about what you guys think. =P)

Most recently this for me was the book A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good story.

Long story short: Finally just came out to my amazing brothers Akano: Toa of Electricity and KopakaKurahk and they accepted me with zero drama.

So, now that I've told them, there's no reason I need to keep myself closeted here anymore.

I hope this changes nothing for any of you because it seriously shouldn't.

That's really it. You can go back to your lives now. XP

I just need to rant for a bit. So, recently Once Upon a Time (finally) introduced a LGBT+ couple into the show. And the writing for it was lack-luster, but I don't think it was because the couple was LGBT+ but more so that the show's writing has been pretty much awful for a while now.

Once is a show I watch with my family. We watched it then and no one made any comments. And to be fair, while it was bad writing, the relationship itself was cute enough and harmless. My biggest gripe is that one episode is not enough to develop a true love relationship fully.

Now flash forward to today and someone told me there were people who speculated that in Frozen 2, Elsa should have a woman for a love interest. My response?

"Hmm, yeah I could see that."

My reasoning being I think Elsa's story, namely how she kept a part of her identity hidden (her ice powers) from everyone including her own sister could be considered parallel with being closeted for an LGBT+ person. And that's not really solid for saying Elsa isn't heterosexual, but personally I think it fits and I would be fine if that's the direction the movie went.

Anyway, my response was met with a look of disgust and the phrase "No, not everyone is gay."

    Hah. Well thank you for that brilliant insight. I will truly need to reflect on that. Boy golly I sure learned a bloody lesson today. That put me in my place. Oh, and by the by;

NOT EVERYBODY IS HETEROSEXUAL, BUT NOBODY EVER TOLD THAT TO DISNEY!

Number of openly LGBT+ characters in Disney: Zero

Number of LGBT+ role models I had growing up so I didn't think I was a freak and gave me even the slightest bit of "don't freak out it will be okay" mentality? Zero.

No instead I got a giant parade of heterosexuality trapsing around me, and then when I found out I was gay it all turned to a big deal. So big that my closest family members didn't know I was gay until less than a year ago. Heck, I still worry that I'm going to be a victim of a hate crime.

It's not like those LGBT+ kids need any form of support. It's not like the kid with two moms needs to see that their family can be represented as normal. It's not like I needed to feel like a regular human being growing up.

But hey "why do we need to expose children to that anyway?"

Yeah, it's not like that group is being bullied to death in their youth or anything.

And as for the LGBT+ ship in Once? "Yeah, that was just too much for me."

And it's not like I have anyone in my family to talk about this stuff with, because if it hasn't become apparent by now in this entry, my family just does not understand anything about this area.

A list of every LGBT+ member of my family: me

So yeah I kinda hate the world right now. Seriously, screw that place.

Okay, so there were a few things that I didn't fully like about the beginning... What I wasn't expecting was a completely different story after Season One. Love it. The story went from "Wow, this is a pretty cool series that I can totally relate with" to "This is awesome. It's simply awesome." It's like they deconstructed the first series and then reconstructed it. Kinda like- wait...

    Those clever devils.

Yeah, so I'm at the part where they're at Briggs. Armstrong's sister is far different from what she was like in the first series. I am so happy.

This one's less light-hearted and has far more of a "this is a war" feel to it. I'm normally not one for a military story, however I do like fantasy. If a homunculus isn't fantasy, I have no idea what is. ;-; (I bet you can tell how eventful our first few days of vacation have been. XD).

Although I still don't know exactly what the big bad here is up to, I have figured something out, I think (though I don't think it's been revealed as of yet).

Anyway, it looks like I'm in for quite the story. ^^ I'll be enjoying every bit of it.

    GRIM TOPIC OF GRIMNESS!

I am clearly not immortal (well, I know I shall live on forever through the hearts of ALL OF YOU because I have been infecting my blog entries with heart parasites that- you know, that's not important), so I figured I should start writing down a bunch of books that I'm interested in reading and then expand the list over time.

In short, this entry is mainly for my self-benefit, so KEEP OFF MY LAWN!!! (Triple exclamations of DOOOOM! I like adding DOOOOM! to things. Gives it a nice air). That is, unless of course you have any suggestions.

-The Count of Monte Cristo - I've heard about this one here and there, but I only just recently found out about the plot. Revenge, romance, drama! Sounds like an excellent read (plus the anime is a bit out there at some points, plus I hear the novel is in chronological order)

-Murder on the Orient Express - Sounds like a good read. Okay, so I have this weird love of murder mysteries... I have an even higher love of mysteries on trains or one that involves trains of some kind. It's one of the reasons I love a certain episode of a certain cartoon series that may or may not have pony protagonists of which PinkiePie is best pony and any other argument is invalid because she defies the very laws of reality.

-Others in the Diane Fallon mystery series by Diane Connor. I've read Dead Secret and it was a nice read (especially for a mystery genre book). The ending was utterly chilling...

-The works of Edgar Allen Poe - I really haven't read much of these... Gothic literature always does sound very interesting to me. I have read the works of The Raven, The Pit and the Pendulum, The House of Usher, etc, though it has been a while since I've read his works.

-The Complete Works of Hans Christian Andersen - Seriously, I love this author. His stories are some of the most beautiful pieces of literature that I have ever read (and I actually do own this book, so it'll probably be higher up on my priority reading). Some of my favorites include The Little Mermaid (and the original is amazingly better than the animated movie), In 1000 Years, and The Pearl of Sorrow.

-Webster's Dictionary - this is mainly just because I'd like to expand my vocabulary a bit without coming off too pretentious and boastful. Plus it's highly interesting at times to look up new words. Though, Scrabble dictionaries would probably be a better start (because those things have some pretty funny words in there). This is more of a whim than anything, though and would be very low on my priority list (sorry technicalities that could help me trip up the grammar police, but stories are by far more interesting).

    Adding to the list:

-Bartleby the Scrivener,Unlighted Lamps and other stories of Sherlock Holmes. I have been inclined to read them for a while, but the movies kinda killed that for me. Anyway, I would love to read these as they've inspired many works of mystery and I generally hear a good reputation for these works (understatement of the year).

-The Jungle Book - I've actually never read this one, though I have heard a bit about the characters over time. It does sound like an interesting read.

-I, Robot - I haven't been much of a sci-fi fan (though I do enjoy the genre from time to time). Still, couldn't hurt to broaden a few horizons.

-Through the Looking Glass - Never read it as a kid, though I do have the book from childhood.

-Treasure Island - Again, considered a classic or whatnot. Never read it. Have a copy. Also the Muppet Version was not to my liking no matter how much my ever so kind brothers tried to argue that I was wrong and that my taste in movies is bad and that I should feel bad. XP

    So, any suggestions, Billy?

    ... No?

... would be the spider babies hatching and being sooo cute. ^^ I wish I could huggle them, but if I did they'd be crushed to an early doom... so I tend to shy away from such things.

-The scene starts where I notice my brother KK is doing stuff on his DS-

    -glances to the screen-

"Oh my gosh, you're actually using factorials to solve a Layton puzzle..."

"I've used algebra to solve these before! It works."

"Yeah, but these games are designed for children to be able to solve. You shouldn't have to use that level of math. Also, there has been an Awkward Zombie comic about this."

"I know there has been an Awkward Zombie comic about this! Now hush... so if I do this, then that means the answer is 20! Let's go with that! -enters answer into game-"

"... Just... watching this process of yours is...-dumbfounded-"

    "It's wonderful isn't it? 8D"

    INCORRECT

    "Yup, wonderful. :')"

So I am currently growing my hair out. Right now my bangs reach to my mouth. My last haircut was a buzz sometime last year.

I have dreams where I cut it off so it stays out of my face.
    MygoshdoesitlovegettinginmyfaceImeansrsly.

It's also one of those things where people take notice once it's around three inches long. Unfortunately for me, I happen to be a guy. Apparently growing out your hair past three inches is a breach of unspoken law unless you're super attractive and you can pull it off (for guys anyway).

Like, wow. I expected some backlash, but it's kinda scary how much people can just hone in on one insignificant aspect of another person. And, really, it is insignificant. Maybe if I were still in my teens it wouldn't be too big a deal. To be honest, I'm not seeing a whole lot of guys my age with long hair. Even old friends of mine who used to have long hair now wear it short. That's not a good or bad thing in itself because, like I said, hair is insignificant. (And mostly it's just people saying I should get a haircut like if I don't my hair would rear up and attack people off the street. Unfortunately I am stuck with plain, ordinary hair. To be fair, some people seem more adamant about their opinion of my hair than others. It isn't everyone coming across as rude, more like just a few that seem too eager to chime in with their opinion about something that isn't theirs to begin with. In any case, the "he needs a haircut" vote is in the majority.)

As far as my work goes, I put mine back into three ponytails and tuck it under my hat. Three because my bangs are only around four inches or so and don't fit behind my head. Once it's all tucked away, albiet the occasional feather sticking out, you wouldn't guess that my hair is as long as it is. My coworkers, when they see me with my hat off, tend to laugh. And that's fine because it's not mock laughter, but the laughter that happens when you see your coworker with long hair out of the blue. =P

So, why am I putting myself through more odd looks and the torture that happens when your bangs attack your eyes when it's breezy?

    1) I'm 22. I'm starting my career, staying out of trouble and have little to no real social life. I am due for a stupid decision here and there, so why not do something harmlessly stupid?

    2) Ultimately it's just hair, and it's never been this long before. I think having long hair can be fun. I'll probably try and rock a Southern Water Tribe do just for fun when it gets super long. Maybe I'll dress up as Link (I have a hat for that too).

    3) I'm not going to have my thick, luscious locks forever, so I might as well enjoy it while I have it. The entire point of having hair is to have fun with it in my opinion. I'm still pretty young, and goodness knows my life could always use more fun.

    4) Most importantly, once it gets to be nine inches from the bottom of my neck, I'm going to donate it to a charity that turns donated hair into wigs for cancer patients. Hair might be insignificant, but you never truly appreciate the insignificant things until you don't have them anymore. The entire point of hair is to have fun with it, so once I've had my fun I can send it off to someone who will hopefully appreciate it even more than I ever could.

I kinda don't like mentioning to people that I'm donating my hair, though. Well, my dad normally brings it up for me half the time when we go out, but other people seem to clam up once it's mentioned. Like, somehow I need to validate why I'm doing something that at first looks juvenile? It's weird to look at it that way. =/ I also think it's the wrong way to look at it.

In my opinion, I don't think it's something people really should take notice over. I mean... it's hair... Calm the Karz down, people. =P

Whassat, Billy? You have a Yugi Moto look and nobody calls you out for it?

As some of you may already know, Akano, KK and I are currently on a family vacation.

Here's where I'm at right now: Currently only our mom and I are awake. I figure I'll be the first person up normally (I'm the only real morning person in our family). Unfortunately, my younger sibling genetics are just itching for a practical joke (can't argue with that kind of biology).

So, I'll be looking for a marker.

My question is "What should I draw on Akano and KK's faces?"

With any luck they won't see this entry by the time the deed is done. XP

Thank you in advance for this most noble of causes.

Drat... No marker. I tried my best to get Akano with a G2 pen, but it woke him up when I was writing the F in "Farm Animals" =/

Looks like I'll need to think of other whacky hijinks for this trip. XP
