    I can't sleep tonight.
     
    I dunno, lately I've just felt... well, I'm really not sure how to put it. I guess a word that comes close is "uninspired." I've just noticed that lately I just don't feel as passionate about things that I used to. The things I used to love are just sort of there now. Like white noise.
     
    I'm not sure if it's depression or if it's just me changing or what. I mean, I know I'm not normal or anything. Like I've always been rough on myself, telling myself that I'll never be able to have things like a relationship or ever be a guy that's happy-go-lucky. I mean, what if my illness came back, and I'm with someone that has to deal with me rocking back and forth while I'm panicking for no reason... And it's not like I'm attractive or ambitious or will ever be successful or all that smart. And yeah, that's a pretty poor attitude to have and all, but hey that's what those years of bullying in school made me start thinking and it's turned into a pretty nasty habit, so what are you gonna do?
     
    But even with all of that aside, things never quite felt like this before. To be honest I've felt this way since my dog died last year. I dunno, I guess even when I went through being bullied or even when I got really bad depression she was always there. She was my best and oldest friend. And you know, being home still and not having her around to share my food with and not seeing her paw prints in the snow and not having her around, I really notice her not being here.
     
    It sort of feels like life without color. I used to be the guy who, against all odds, wanted to spite the world and be happy anyway. But now it just feels like I've lost that fight in me. The only thing that really felt emotionally rewarding was when I got offered my summer job.
     
    Eh, I think I'll have a talk about this with my doctor when I see them next.

    Meat

    So, for my New Year's resolution, I decided that I would order only Vegetarian or Vegan options when eating out. Last night I ordered pasta with sautee'd mushrooms. When my food came out, they gave me pasta with meatballs.
     
    Now, when this happens I don't send the food back because then the establishment usually tosses the food out. When that happens with meat, to me it feels like the animal got killed just to wind up in the garbage (not to mention it's pretty darn wasteful). So, I didn't say anything and started eating a few bites of pasta.
     
    Little did I expect, the waitress caught the mistake and brought me pasta with the mushrooms. They still offered me the pasta with meatballs, as they said they were just going to throw it out. I told them I would take it to go.
     
    So, apparently when the food was brought back to the kitchen, tragedy struck. Someone was high fiving someone else, and when they brought their hand down, it landed in the pasta with meatballs. Sauce apparently splashed over three people. Contaminated, the establishment tossed it out.
     
    So, yeah... Life is meaningless.

    Gathered friends,
     
    It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you all of the passing of Akano: Toa of Electricity. You know, this dorkus. He was found on a beach this morning somewhere in Australia. As to what he was doing there, there is strong evidence of a kangaroo boomerang war with sharks and lazerbeams. It is believed Akano bravely fought off twelve sharks, six kangaroos, five platypuses and a duck before succumbing to a deadly splinter from a boomerang accident. Truly a tragedy.
     
    Many will remember Akano for his comic series here on BZPower, truly the only noteworthy thing he has ever done with his life ever. Others may remember him for his physics lectures on his blog, but let's be honest, only nerds pay attention to those. It is a travesty that such legacies shall never be continued. He was also probably like one minifigure away from completing the latest wave of blind bags too.
     
    From a young age, Akano has always had an interest in science. He would place string on an ice cube and then add salt to perform the darkest of sorcery known to man. He was always eager to learn and would never shut up when he learned something he thought was interesting. I mean, I have learned things just by knowing Akano that I never knew I cared so little about. Akano was also fascinated with ancient Egypt, which makes it even more curious why he would travel all the way to Australia. I mean, that's not even close to Egypt.
     
    As per his will, Akano shall have his lips sewn shut, his eyebrows plucked and the rest of him mummified. The mummy will be put on display as a warning to small children of what happens when you pick a fight with Australian fauna. May he rest in peace.

    Easter

    So, this year I'm not working on the holiday. It's nice, though to be honest, I've missed having a job for a while now. Even so, spending time with family and friends is always nice. We went out to brunch and I ate enough to put me in a food coma for the afternoon. I got to see the people that I usually only see on holidays and special occasions, and they all seem to be doing well.
     
    Now I'm with my folks at a family friend's house and we're all just hanging out. It brings me back. We used to spend today at their old house back when Akano and KK were still around and we were all kids. Back then we had to politely ask permission to use the internet, and then there was only one computer in the house. Naturally Akano and KK were the ones to get dibs. We would probably fight about it or whatnot. Or we'd watch Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory on TV and get kinda unsettled at the tunnel scene. Then we'd sit down for a big home-cooked dinner with everyone.
     
    Now it's 2016 and I am typing out this blog entry on my smartphone. It seems a bit less intimate going out to brunch these days, but I don't really mind. (Have to say, though, I had an apple dumpling and not gonna lie, the ones I make are better).
     
    It's just a couple months away from when I move to my next job. I guess life's okay for now.

    So, I keep brainstorming for my Epic when I realized that I still haven't worked out all the mechanics of the story.
     
    I want the protagonists to be interesting enough, the plot to run smoothly and Sir Quackers to make at least sixteen doomsday devices before the end of it.
     
    Though I kinda realize my villain department is a bit lacking.
     
    So, what do you guys and gals think makes for a good villain?
     
    I could always use some brainstorming fuel.

    It's so feelsy. Maybe not as feelsy to me as The Fox and the Hound, but still it's a favorite of mine.

    So, today I was arriving home when my eyes were looking at the road. I remembered the splatter that used to be there after my dog was hit last year. The moment she was hit was replaying itself in my mind. I grabbed my cat, held him close as he purred into my ear and sobbed lightly.
     
    You know, it's nights like these that I realize I might benefit from inventing a pretend boyfriend. Unfortunately, such technology would still be incapable of hugging me and comforting me in any way. I could always try to get a real life boyfriend, but that seems just a little too fantastical (you know, unless it was a small Santa balloon, but I don't feel like dating one of those again).
     
    Lately, though, I've been going through old photos, and I took plenty of pictures of Jewel. I'm really glad that I did. I mean, in hindsight, a video would have been even more awesome, but what are you gonna do?

    So, this is a game where you start out being related to both the Adams Family and the Brady Bunch simultaneously. Both families then start fighting over you because you're made of golden puppies or something, I dunno. Then it turns out it was just a dream, but you actually were related to the Adams Family after all. Then you go on a quest and then wind up in the Brady Bunch home, and they claim that you're actually related to them.
     
    It turns out you're a Brady, but in Conquest you say "Screw that" and stick with the Adams family. Then the Brady Bunch and the Adams family face off in an epic fight to the death.
     
    And your dad is literally the worst and sends you off to die.
     
    Then your fake brother, looking past your Brady blood, decides he will send aid in the form of troops which include your fake sister.. Then your other fake brother, also looking past your Bradyness, sends more troops and one of them is bisexual.
     
    Oh, and there's also this dragon who used to be human who whisks you away to another dimension so you can have a castle. The dragon is not a Brady or Adams family member.
     
    Also, I got The Legend of Korra - A New Era Begins for 3DS for like $5. It is essentially Fire Emblem, but with less of a dramatic family dynamic.
