The good news is Biomedia does have the archive, the bad news is its not set up or ready for the public yet, but it will eventually be. No word back yet from our site's webmaster on the internal errors. I believe the problem happened after MaskOfDestiny and our sister site Rebelscum.com got moved to a new server by the webmaster. I think thats been broken since some time before Hero Factory 2.0. That feed technically doesn't show the most recent images uploaded to the site. Its actually tied to a manual refresh that looks for images attached to recent "items" in our archive's cross reference system. Otherwise it would always be populated uncontrollably with Star Wars images from Rebelscum.com, who uses the same file server. I've gone through quite a bit of frustration over the years trying to figure out if I've just forgotten some obscure step in the process, but something just isn't operating correctly. If I could, I'd have the G2 Toa on there right now, or tie it in to show the most recent pictures relating to the retro news.

Sorry about the delay responding, it never occurred to me to check the forums of a completely different website for a query about our own. Were you looking for anything in particular, or did you just want to browse around the collection archive? Last I checked I could still access everything from my control panel. If you only need a few specific things I can try and grab them for you.

I do like the mobile armory. It appears there is a feature left unmentioned. Look at the box shot and you see a technic beam inside the trades at an angle. It makes me think either the treads themselves or the panel holding the axe inside the treads will extend out. If Im right, Im hoping it's to reveal even more weapons, or to make the inside more accessible sort of like the fortrex.

oO_Oo How long has Marchikoma been a thing!? I've got enough Shirow Masamune stuff in my room to classify it as a museum, and I'm only discovering this now :_: Looks like a great mix of themes, especially with Tachikomas being both a digital AI and a mechanical character. Maybe it's a tad long for traditional designs, but that's all a matter of artistic interpretation really. I wonder if you can figure out a way to hide flip out wheels in the feet? My Bionikoma I built years ago can't fit a seat either, the parts I used didn't really allow it, and it was more of a visual choice for me. Mine's packed up for Brick Universe, but you can kind of get a look at it here at about 17 seconds in:

BZPower Attending Nature Connects: Art with LEGO Bricks
Imatron replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
Looks like I won't make it to the opening day with BZP people attending, Animazement starts on the 27th and I've already made plans for that. Maybe I can catch one or more of you on a different day? They have a few events running through the month, maybe there's a second day coming up? I'm guessing I wont catch anyone at Animazement will I? I've been tempted to grab a kabuki mask and use that with a bunch of Hero Factory parts to dress up as the villain from Big Hero Six. -
O_O Well, I wonder how that happened, thanks for letting me know!

BrickUniverse in Raleigh was just a few days ago, and I took video of as many of the MOCs as I could: There is about an hours worth of video. I focused on the Fan Zone first, with the "professional" stuff being later on in the video. The creations on the first table, just after the modified system sets are mine. If you have stuff on display through BZP/Bionilug, you should be seeing it here somewhere, be sure to mark the time and tell us whats yours : ) Black six also has pictures but I imagine it will be a bit before he finishes uploading them.

Send Your MOCs Across the Universe
Imatron replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
Glad to help out when I can, hopefully you've got some loot money leftover. I hope Grayson's free exhibitor promotion pays off as well as the reputation I hope he gained from this the first Ralaigh and Dallas events. As much fun it was being part of the largest theme for a change, I miss seeing all the huge brick system displays. -
Send Your MOCs Across the Universe
Imatron replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
Lyichir, This deal via BrickUniverse for 150 bucks a night appears to still be available, though the email I got says you should book it by 2-29, so there may still be a hiccup that keeps you from getting it: http://www.marriott.com/meeting-event-hotels/group-corporate-travel/groupCorp.mi?resLinkData=BrickUniverse%5Erdumc%60uniunia%60149.00%60USD%60false%604%603/31/16%604/4/16%602/29/16&app=resvlink&stop_mobi=yes The total price is a bit of a doozy though, I wonder if you can trim the days to save a few hundred bucks? I'm glad I live within driving distance. -
Thank you for your support and comments everyone! Sorry I got sidetracked for a few days with another project I'm working on. It does not, the thornax might make it through the sweeper, but if it managed to roll into the canon, it would have to land just right so the pin could push on the hard plastic ring. Otherwise you'd have to remove it manually.

This is the latest in a series of tanks Ive been engineering that collect and fire their own ammunition, This is my most cost effective and easy to produce design yet, operating using only two motors. When it drives forward, it collects ammunition through a conveyor underneath it that lifts them into the cannon's ammo chamber. When it drives backwards, it starts to launch them one by one. When loaded, you can steer by teetering forward on one side or the other, and effectively turn around by driving on one side to perform a doughnut or U-turn. What makes the two motor design important is that it allows up to four tanks to operate at once, since the Power Functions receivers only control two motors per frequency. If I used a second IR receiver for controlling the cannon without backward drive, it would cost 15 bucks for that, and 14 for another motor, not to mention losing another frequency and requiring two IR remotes. It's best when seen in action in the video: I've also got it on LEGO Ideas, if you'd like to see more or support it for being made into an official set. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/117625 I hope to have these up and running at Brick Universe in April next year for everyone to try out. Last year my booth was very crowded during public hours, but I'm working with Greyson in hopes of having a proper line next year. If you plan to try them out, make sure you drop by before the public hours if you buy a full 3 day ticket : )

Since Terraria is free on the Xbox360 for gold subscribers, I was wondering if anyone here would like to play with me. If your not familiar with it, its like metroid or castlevania game but its free roam on a randomly generated world, where virtually everything can be mined, crafted into other things, and rebuilt into bases and etc. Id love to help others get started and teach them the basics, though if yor already past the Wall OF Flesh boss, I could use some help on my world. My gamertag is Imatron, toss me an invitation if your interested.

First Week's Winners Announced for BIONICLE Mask Hunt
Imatron replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
Nice one my fellow Kopaka Enthusiast! As much as I want a 14k gold mask, Im a Kopaka fan above all, so Im focusing on that mask. it would be an honor to own any of the new 14k masks, but something is calling to me with that shiny Akaku. Facebook would not let me post my entry for some reason, but thankfully Twitter worked: https://twitter.com/CaptainMukow/status/587429618396884992/photo/1 I just hope if my entry gets noticed that they will look past the disney infinity logo, especially with Dimensions coming out. Come to think, I hope they dont mind that I angled the picture to capture the reflection of the lamp for the x-ray eye XP. At least I can say I tried now! -
Thanks Aanchir! It was great meeting you and the other BZP people too. Everything you guys brought in was great, and I wish I could have had a better look at all the Bionicle stuff that wasn't mine, but I was busy guarding my tanks all day XP. Having you and the other BZP'ers show me the little details up close was the best part of the event, when I took video of the creations I tried to go over each one and even went behind to get the backs of the creations. And after all that work trying to play any of them crashes my computer >__< As far as the AFOLs complaining about it being mostly BIONICLE goes, Greyson had more than enough space for anyone who wanted to register and bring in brick based creations, the problem was that not many people actually brought any in. If it wasn't for the Bionicle community bringing in their stuff, the fan zone would simply have been half the size, and not populated instead with more brick creations. If you look at how wide the aisles were, and how Greyson had room for building tables, bounce houses, a duplo zone, coloring stations, even how much space the fan zone had inside the ring of tables, you could see he had a surplus of space, and was doing his best to use it up. He could easily have made room for 8 times the content that was brought in by condensing the surplus space down. I really have to give Breyson credit, as small as I felt the event was, it was well planned and the turnout for Brick Universe's public days was huge compared to the last Brick Magic. With any luck this means he has enough attention to get a much larger afol community to attend next year.

Another site with forums was part of the panel, unless the rule about discussing other sites with them has changed, it might not be allowed under that condition. Someone also said something about a review he did that may not be safe to repeat, Im guessing from peoples reactions since I was apparently fortunate enough to not understand the figure of speech used. Thank you! Of course they look better in person because my photos are always off XP. *Thinks* Off the top of my head I remember a Nuju Hordika headed creature with two double sockets for the body that was simpler but still had some interesting details and use of parts, maybe a gun or something mounted on his back, is that the one? I have my camera packed so I can't check right now. I agree with you there, if your happy with what you've made then nothing else matters. I'm not saying that based on (what I'm guessing is) your creation but because there's no right or wrong with something like this. In addition, at one of the last conventions I was at, an older moc I had packed but didn't really like anymore turned out to be a favorite of a younger attendee, and it was just a toa mata bodied guy with wheels for feet, not even good looking wheels. He liked it so much I made sure to make a wheeled creation in case he came to this convention, which turned out to be a roller skating toa. Many kids have also commented that they see these simpler creations and they think they are great because they can understand it by looking at it, rather than the more complicated creations they cannot begin to understand the process of making.

Ive had a good look at all the MoCs, what did you send in Haxorus? Most of the creations brought in by the BZP team are very nicely detailed. Mine aren't quite as pretty in comparison, but I'd like to think Ive got some nice ideas a a few good titans: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=553745

Moowahahahahahaha! My MoC collection was formidable on it's own, with BZP staff bringing stuff in, the display shall be quite a sight. Of course now I've got more than Spencer Rollins to worry about for that "Best BIONICLE" prize XP

Cortex, Destrabuild engineer
Imatron replied to lem master of jungle's topic in Bionicle-Based Creations
I didn't see the part about this being tf2 inspired at first, I was tempted to say "Sentry Down!" as my entire post. Even if it is basic, that arm and wrench are very nice features. So this is using parts that were essentially molded from LEGO elements? I might check out my five below if only for the novelty of it. I grabbed one of the transformers construct o bots last time I was there for similar reasons. -
I agree with you there, I actually tried to bulk up the upper legs, and even pad out some spots on his side/back, but I couldn't seem to find anything good that didn't restrict mobility too much for my taste. I thought about the eyes too, but I grew fond of them, the flash did something to them and they kind of lost their trans/dark colors in the process.

Battle for the Gold Mask Competition Submission Topic
Imatron replied to Tufi Piyufi's topic in Bionicle-Based Creations
Name: Furnok, Bohrok Commander Entry picture: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Immy/Furnok/dscn0190.jpg Gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=549996 I hope you guys like mechanisms, this guy's got arms that turn into shields, make sure you check out the gallery to see ^__^ Good luck everyone! -
This is my entry for the Battle For The Gold Mask competition, wish me luck! Furnok, Bohrok Commander Front: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Immy/Furnok/dscn0190.jpg Side: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Immy/Furnok/dscn0192.jpg Back: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Immy/Furnok/dscn0194.jpg Shield Up: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Immy/Furnok/dscn0197.jpg Shield Side: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Immy/Furnok/dscn0195.jpg Dual Shield: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Immy/Furnok/dscn0198.jpg Gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=549996 Furnok is a prototype commander class bohrok, developed for the purpose of commanding local bohrok units in their tasks and acting as an offensive/defensive unit rather than a worker. Unfortunatley, one of many flaws was the range and ability to coordinate with other commander class units. Ultimatley, he and a number of other prototypes were deactivated and locked away to prevent conflicting with the units that would become the Bahrag queens, who were capable of commanding every bohrok across the island simultaneosly. But when you wake one, you wake them all, and Furnok was no different. Maddened by the conflicting programming and the control signal of the bohrok over the course of their use, he manged to break free, and stalked any land where he could detect bohrok in use. Before he came to his senses and left, he had managed to singlehandedly depose the elemental masters of a land, and forced their matoran into adopting war-games to become strong enough to protect themselves in their absense. Design wise, this MOC might not be the prettiest, but he boasts a number of interesting features, particularly the flip out sheilds on both arms, akin to the design of the smaller Bohrok, which flip open when the hands are pushed into his wrists using parts from the old nui rama sets. His other notable features would include the unique features of his weight support system, most of which I developed myself (though great minds think alike, so maybe I wasnt the first to come up with the same ideas?). I hope you guys like him, Im not sure Ill improve upon him any further (though I DID have a different cannon design in mind.) but I am open to suggestions. Side note: I chose his name after poor Will Furno (Furno + Bohrok = Furnok) who's bike had to be scrapped to finish this despite already using up a spare box XP

Kelly got that mask as a prize for a Bionicle web site design competition, he placed first for the age group he entered in. >_< Ouch. Philip was getting ready to sell it to me, and when I had the money ready, he found out it was misplaced. He said I had the first shot at it too, and even replied to a latter email saying I'd be the first to know when he found it. Judging by the similarities in our stories, he must have gotten the two of us confused, even though I've been working for him for more than five years now :_:. If you sell it, keep me in mind, don't know if I can budget 4K but Ill see how things work out. I'd say keep it though, not only is it a 14k Hau, but the fact that it was Kelly's, that he won it for a a web design contest years ago and now works for The LEGO Company as a (I forget what the exact tittle is) web designer, adds a sort of twist and historical value to it, which I cant say for any other 14 K Hau I know of. Plus you came very close to not getting it it in the first place, all Philip had to do was send me an email, I think it was meant for you : )
