Bionicle Storyline and Theories - Always prestigious and occasionally pretentious, the inhabitants of S&T approach their intricate passions with diligence. Alabaster buildings and cleanly streets complement the typical order and organization for which its members strive. It isn't loud or bustling, but its thronged with thought and certainly very active. S&Ters live with high intensity, high stakes, and high rises. Historically, S&T has been home to great thinkers, and although the active individuals change, there is a tradition of a small core of highly dedicated, thorough, and knowledgeable members who lead their fellows in theorizing, disproving, and and discussing.
That may be a little too flowery and poetic for this purpose, but it's what came to mind when I pictured S&T. I think it fits the "ice" image well.

Gee, what did that word mean before it's association with a book (and then movie) about vampires?
Absolutely nothing of course. Why? Does it have any other meaning to you?

I love this sort of stuff, so I'll give my input:
1. I like the basic structure, SPIRIT, as well as most of the details. For Admins, I think that they are so special that each could be a form of Toa-originated Titan (maybe even kind of like Takanuva in 2008). OoMN might fit better in this case. Also, are we still implying that Admins are coming from the same Matoran, Toa, etc. rank and file? I think we ought to since example like black Six and Tufi Piyufi would suggest that a Matoran can rise to such status. I know that it isn't necessary to be strictly agreeable to Bionicle since obviously just by creating the project we diverge, but I would prefer something that is more agreeable if possible.
2. I see BS01 as existing, at any rate. We have a sub-forum for it, after all. Still, as was stated above, it deals with the official storyline. My idea there is that what it considers doesn't necessarily exist but exists in BZ-Nui's world as BZ-Nui would in the Bionicle world (or something like it). Consider it a form of science or religion, maybe. I like either a or b.
3. I'd like to revive Takua's idea:
3) I like it, but how would you explain our constant trips there in search of updates? Can we not also search for sales updates on Amazon, eBay, and B&N? Should we include these places as well as being navigable? It's easier to accept BS01 because Crystal Matrix made it while a strong member of BZP. Now it has its own forum. It feels sort of like a vassal state or a protectorate to me more than something separate. We could include Bionicle.com, but I feel that if we do that it is an easy step to including a variety of other sites as well. Placing it in a fictitious, quasi-existing stay recognizes its relevance but draws a definite line between what actually exists and what doesn't.
4. Well, yes, but I'd rather see all of this determined first.

Thanks. Yeah, this is something random I wrote a little while ago one night while I was sitting at a coffee house. I wanted to go up and read something, but I didn't have anything with me... So I wrote it there, read it, and then I polished it that night.
I also thought that since my blog has been completely dead for awhile, I might as well stick it up here.

Why does burnt hair smell so bad?
BtB
I don't know why, but I definitely detest the odor.

Thanks for all you've done, Bink, and especially in the way you're going out with style. So it goes.

How many documents do you have to use? My history techer says half the number plus 1 more.
My history teacher said that half was minimum for a student to have any chance, and that the more that could be fit in, the better. He did caution us to not use more than we could handle, though, and to not use a document that will hurt an argument.
On the AP, I ended up using all of the documents on the History and all of the documents on English. I didn't plan on doing that, but it worked out to be practical, so I went for it.

Yeah, that's what I'm taking away from it, <dd>: I can now recognize when I'm being played, and can thus make a clear decision if I want to play along.
By the same token, I know the rudiments of taking someone else on that same ride, but like I said, I'm not the kind of person to actually do that.

Which is nice to know... I personally dislike situations where I have to choose what I'm going to accept as beneficial to me and what I'm going to throw out with the trash. I'd rather all things to be straightforwardly one-way or the other (which is really a horrible way to prefer things if I want to go through life being put in the types of situations in which I'd like to be). (In other words, in situations like the book you read, I'd rather not have to parse through it as you did; I'd be too afraid of making a poor judgement and being played by the book, so to speak.)
I'm gald that you received something useful from the piece.

Ouch on the bug bites, man. My friend and I wre comparing bites at cross country this afternoon... She had about a billion little marks on her tighs, but my legs were littered with these giant spider hacks. Quantity or quality? That is the question.
And I still have little clue as to what all of your computer speech actually means, but I can the tension mounting. I'll have to chekc in this weekend to see how your luck runs putting everything together.

I'll hold the fort, Omi, and I'll continue set you place at the dinner table.

Thanks for the entries, everyone. This is giving me something to work with. A lot of loners, huh? I'll make a point to motificate that.

I always love your logic, bones.
Personally, I took a different view on how to choose. I asked myself not who would be the best for the job, nor whom I would appoint to be Chronicler; I simply asked, "Who would, in the absence of a Chronicler, want to become one?"
Now, the obvious answer to me was Taipu. He was the first Matoran who came to my mind that would want to, without any outside influence, want to become Chronicler. True, both Kapura and Kopeke went with Takua on that mission in MNOG, and true, both left his respective village to explore his respective Wahi. But who was fascinated by other Wahi and wished to travel with Takua not for the sake of helping out, but for the simple sake of being able to himself explore? Taipu, of course.
Now, this isn't to say that Taipu would be the best Chronicler; he's simply the Matoran most likely (in my opinion) to jump at the chance to be Chronicler. Given your criteria above, which I mostly agree with, yeah, it looks like Kopeke or Kapura be the smarter choice if the Chronicler were to be appointed.

Wow... That is really quite cool. I just hope you don't get in trouble for it, school administrations have a knack for misinterpreting things.
They wanted to know if they were part of it, which seems even more weird nwo that you mention that. I kept away from faculty, though; no need to hurt anybody who has control over my grades' feelings.

My toenails are actually beautiful...
But anyway, I'm sorry to hear about that. Good luck at the doctor's.
And although I know most junoir high relationships end in everlasting marriage, I stayed away from them for those exact reasons. I' always would (and still do) rather take your advice and be the helpful friend when somebody else's realtionship is sour.

Can you give us an emoticon for this special event? Please? Just a would do.......
But I'm distant and cold and wear my emotions like a sock - under my heal. That - that would just be too warm and fuzzy. (Of course, I can show my emotions my writing asdide comments like this, so I guess that's not a valid argument, anyway.)

Congratulations on expanding your horizons, Utopia. Although I'm not sure that 35 posts in a night is really a "small step," I'm sure that reaching 2,000 is something uncommon for Ut-kind. Way to lead the Ut-race!

Hmm...How about Zakaz-Makuta? XDI think you already mentioned Artakha-Makuta...
Yeah, there's a fifth one. Wow, we have more than I thought:
Metru-Makuta (aka Makuta)
Artahka-Makuta (aka Dead Art)
Karzanhi-Makuta (probably)
VN Mainland-Makuta (...)
Zakaz-Makuta (aka Rebel)

Based on this and your little meatball affair... dare I say it, somebody may have it in for you.
Of course, this is also the 'paranoia overdrive' scenario. Still, keep 'em all in mind at this point, even the silly ones. You never know...
Oh, I'm definitely paranoid.
KIE, but I wake up at 6:30am and I'm not supposed to perform "aerobic activites" for another month, so no, walking to school in sub-freezing weather is not an option.
And lastly, neither car was there today, so things were back to normal... Weird.

I am so glad that our school sells luch boxes...
But still, that's really sad Mumu, did you get any lunch at all in the end?
~ Bioran
Well, my lunch period is at 12:32PM, so I just waited until 3:00PM when I got home. At least I eat breakfast.

I guess paying off the one with the highest interest rates first would make sense. Of course, as a emotional thing, I think that getting rid of the student loan first might feel better than the other two payments (you know, finally move on with your life... become removed from school).
Congrats on the bonus.

Wait..Global warming is real..?
Yup. It's real. The overall temperature of the Earth is increasing; therefore, the globe is warming. Global warming is real.
How much humans are affecting it is still being debated, though, and that can become a touchy issue.... (so won't get into that).

And this happens to you on the same day I break the rear headlight on my car. O_o
December 2nd: Official BZP FA Car Accident Day
Than's an FL, but that's okay. Oh, and I can give you a ride to school on December 3rd, if you'd like.
I had no idea my staff were such bad drivers. Sounds like we need to start BZP Drivers Ed.
Tough luck Than, hopefully your insurance will help you out in getting a new car. Get something with better mileage this time!
I actually avoided an accident yesterday... A van tried to hit me. My car was very frightened, but unhurt.
So, yeah, bad time to be driving.

Well, that's not a tropical rain forest, it's a cloud forest. It is constantly foggy, but it doesn't rain anywhere near 8 months per year. This picture is form Monteverde, Costa Rica. It averages 80 to 120 inches of rainfall per year. That is wetter than the Northeast US, but it's drier than Seattle, Lousiana, and the Everglades. Much of the rainfall falls in the form of fog, so it isn't actually raining. But everything is GREEN. It also isn't windy. Beaches are windy.
