  1. OOC: It's totally dependent on the utilization, but for the most part, if he generates the blasts from a sound he makes, feel free to assume they're dodgeable. The spread only happens once the reverberation decays, and by that point, unless he does something else with it, it's dropped too low in volume to really be of harm aside from a small case of ringing ears.
  2. IC: Nero's eyes panicked, and his nerdy mind jumped to the first thing he could think of: "FUS RO DAH!"Nero immediately reverbed and amplified the cry of unrelenting force, creating a concussive wall of sound that deflected the shards, but died out before it could do much else. Blushing slightly at his outburst, Nero slapped the metal of his wheelchair, and sent a ringing blast of sound at Sanguine, following up with two more blasts powered by claps.OOC: I'm sorry, I just had to do it at least once...
  3. IC: Nero clapped, then amplified the sound of the clap against itself until it had formed a ball of concussive force between his hands. He then flung the ball at Sanguine, letting it explode next to his head, the result booming like a thunderclap next to his ear.Feral's claws clanked against rough sounding metal as a man stepped in between him and Phorce. blocking the claws with what looked like an armor covered forearm. Israel Cody, codename Asura flexed his currently adamantine forearm, and pressed Feral's arm to the side, before attempting to thrust kick the wild mutant in the chest with a grin.
  4. OOC: Freshly approved and ready for action.Name: Israel "Izzy" CodyCodename: AsuraAge: 19Gender: MaleFaction: BrotherhoodPower(S): Kinetically generated adaptable combat enhancement: Israel's body is capable of morphing itself to enhance his physical combat capabilities, the limits of which extend the more he moves and fights. The morphs range from simply enhancing his physiology, to increasing in size, hardening his skin, growing short range blades, spikes and tentacles, or even growing multiple limbs when truly fired up. He is not often fond of using more than one morph at once, as the energy requirements would be too large, though there are times when, having built up a sufficient amount, he can surpass those limits. He is, however, very proficient at switching between morphs with ease. The only ability that remains constant is an accelerated healing factor.Appearance: Physically, Israel is a somewhat imposing man, standing at 6 foot 3 with rippling muscles and a sharp jawline. His just past blonde hair kept swept back, there's nothing hiding the intense blood red glare his eyes constantly hold. He's a decently handsome man, but the way he carries himself tends to make this trait seem considerably more potent. Israel's fashion sense is very drifter-like, often wearing heavy trenchcoats, cargo pants, fingerless gloves and combat boots. He more often than not declines to wear a shirt, as his morphs will just ruin the things anyway. He takes to leaving holes in the knees of his pants, and ripping the sleeves of his trenchcoats off up to his elbows, as he feels the adjustments make it easier for him to fight,Weapons: None. Israel considers himself more than enough all on his own.Skills: Israel is an incredibly competent martial artist, having studied for years on end. He's also a skilled gymnast, as well as a decent mechanic. Due to his abilities, he's also decent at resisting psionic assault, though any telepath of particular skill can overcome his psionic shields.Personality: Israel is a charismatic, confident, self serving, conniving snake of a man, who puts his own interests over the interests of others at all times. The majority of his interests include wealth, power and fighting.Weakness: If Israel's morphing at any point exceeds the amount of kinetic energy available to him at the time, his body will immediately shut down, and he will enter a state of lethargy which takes him considerable time to recover from. In addition, Israel, while very cunning, is easily swayed to other causes provided the reward is confirmed to be great enough. This makes him somewhat unreliable.Bio: Not much for talking about his past, the best anyone can gather about Israel is that he's been with the Brotherhood for a few months now, taking membership with them over the X-Men for the sake of personal gain. Hanging out around him, it becomes quite obvious that he doesn't care about mutant struggles, and really only fights because he enjoys it, cause be darned.IC: Nero brushed his fingers against the wheels of his chair nervously as he waited for the signal.
  5. IC: Nero laughed, acknowledging the thumbs up. and slumped a little in his chair. He was hoping he could calm his nerves before the big mission.
  6. IC: Nero shrugged. "It's no big, yeah? Didn't seem like you were doing anything too appalling, so why not help out?"
  7. IC: "Well then it seems like you have the wrong idea about me, yeah? Cause that's not what this is about at all. I originally entered the argument to stand up for Shawn. For something I thought was worth standing up for. I don't give a rat's left foot about continuing an argument. I came to words with YOU because after that was all said and done, you felt a need to express an opinion towards my conduct after I had already stopped, in a fashion that implies I needed your reprimanding. Bad move. Finally, your percieved lack of social skills have no bearing on your hypocrisy. It just means you're a hypocrite who can't talk to people well. So you-" at this point, Nero registered what Ashlynn had said, and abruptly cut off, shaking his head. He then reumed glaring out of the window.
  8. IC: Nero chuckled, sincerely going against the furious gleam in his eyes, and replied "I don't know if you were actually following the argument, or if you're just talking out the side of your neck, cause if you had paid any attention, you'd know my argument had ended quite some time ago, and I hadn't said another word until you felt the need to be all Knight in Shining Armor for a battle that had already ended. As for your point about battle, yeah, that's cool and all, but that doesn't give you any more right to try and quell a situation than it gives me. Looks like your inner hypocrite is showing. And simply to address my favorite part, your supposed coup de grace, one, I was quiet, 'till you butted in, so you brought this all on yourself. Two, I don't know if you noticed, but sitting down is my only option bro. Callous, much?" At this point, he gestured to his wheelchair. "And finally... I really hope you're threatening me. Because that will only end badly for you. I promise."
  9. OOC: Darnit, Kayzikk, I was gonna make a reference to "teenagers with attitude." :PIC: Nero's head snapped over to Alex incredulously. His reply was swift. "If this isn't a magnificent example of the pot calling the kettle black, then I don't know what is! Look at you attempting to impose order on a plane that's mostly already settled! Requires some judgement, don't you think? Yet you claim you shouldn't be judgmental towards people you barely know?! You realize I've been at this institute over a year now, yes? I was here long enough to see a good chunk of you enroll at the institute, let alone become X-Men! I think I've been around the block long enough to make a pretty accurate judgement on a situation and comment on it, especially when anyone in it isn't doing anything more productive than slamming on one guy because he's just annoying them! Don't even start!" He finished with a rather punctual glare, then rolled his eyes and turned to glare outside of the plane again.
  10. IC: Nero turned his attention away from the window and simply nodded at Feral, since he couldn't think of anything worthwhile to say that wouldn't be rude, then looked inwards, interested in the conversation occurring.
  11. IC: Nero saw the extended hand out of the corner of his eye, and wordlessly reciprocated, bumping fists with Shawn before turning to look out of the window.
  12. IC: Nero simply stared at Abbas as if he was a chicken with his head cut off, before replying "Why should I respect someone who's done nothing to earn it save being a higher rank?! All I even know about the guy so far is he's willing to rip out my guts for disturbing his nap. I'm pretty sure that's not what you guys are supposed to be teaching us 'students'. But you know what... You're the boss. I'm sure you guys know best."
  13. IC: "... But you can use the guy threatening his own teammates? What kind of control are you looking for, exactly?" Nero replied semi-incredulously.
  14. IC: "I do. I'd rather he get that out of his system now and prove to me that he's mature when it counts, then have him store it all up and completely get us steamrolled." Nero shrugged, and continued "You guys aren't even giving him a chance. I mean, Feral seriously just threatened to disembowel him, and you seriously don't have a problem with that?"
  15. IC: Nero glanced around at the plane full of increasingly tense mutants, eventually tolled his eyes and said "Hey, we can play dogpile on the redhead another time, yeah? I mean, I get the mission is serious and all, but I mean we just took off. You guys are acting like he's been yammering for hours. A little lightheartedness before we fly face first into one of the most intense events of our lives can't really be hurting anyone."
  16. IC: Nero settled in the war room, and stated "Suited up, and ready to go, sir."
  17. IC: After a while, Nero rolled back into the War Room, all suited up and such.
  18. IC: "Sonik, sir. I'll go get suited up right now." Nero replied enthusiastically. He whipped around immediately and made his way to the locker room to change.
  19. IC: A flash of excitement crossed Nero's face, but was quickly tamped down, after which he asked "Sounds righteous. Can I volunteer?"
  20. Nero's face sort of slackened with shock, jaw dropping a little, but he quickly composed himself."What kind of team are you trying to form? If you don't mind me asking, sir."
  21. OOC: Sounds like a plan.IC: Eventually, Nero rolled into the war room. He remembered hearing something about a meeting about to happen or something like that, and so wanted to see what was going on.
  22. OOC: I'm definitely out of the loop. But them's the breaks.IC: Thoroughly bored with stomping people out in various online games, Nero wheeled from his dorm outside, simply wanting some fresh air. eventually, he supposed he would head inside, see if anything interesting was happening.
  23. IC: Food finished, Nero started making his way to his dorm room. There wasn't much else to do around the mansion at the moment, so domination in some online video game would have to do.
  24. IC: Nero chuckled as he wheeled to his intended table to settle down and eat. There was never a dull day at the institute, and the scuffle between Shawn and Terry provided just the kind of show Nero was looking for to ward off any oncoming bad moods.OOC: As was earlier stated "I'm back!" *Ahnuld Voice*.
  25. Yo. I PMed Dr. Vengeance, and I be approved, so I'm putting my profile here just so it's on hand.Name: Nero SilvaCodename: SonikAge: 17Gender: MaleFaction: X-MenPower(S): Reverberating Audiomancy: Nero is capable of amplifying and controlling sound to a level high enough to produce a sonoluminescent effect even without water. His particular specialty with this power is something he refers to as "Reverbing", or the constant reflection of sound waves against each other to produce a louder sound. His common offensive use of the ability is to create constructs out of reverberating sound waves which cause damage via concussive force, though he is also capable of producing simple shockwaves and sonic blasts. Other uses of the ability include altering the tone of sound waves for visual and mental disorientation (or amusement, such as changing the sound of his voice.), echolocation to sense objects and beings around him and the structural weaknesses of objects, removing all sound in an area, and passively making him slightly less susceptible to mind/perception altering abilities (as a large portion of his perception of the world is tied to things he hears, as opposed to touch and sight.). He also has a nearly precognitive sense, as his powers increase his hearing to nearly pindrop levels, and as a result, he hears things before his other senses perceive them. Time spent heeding the sounds has made his reflexes higher than that of a normal human, lending to the near precognitive appearance.Appearance: Physically, Nero's stature is slim to average at 5'10, roughly 157 pounds. He's not particularly fit looking, save for his arms and chest and upper back which, while not at all large, are very visibly more muscular than the rest of his body. He has shaggy black hair which he constantly pushes out of his bright green eyes (to no avail.), olive skin, and bright white teeth (of which is extremely proud, showing them off with constant smiles). While not a dreamboat by any means, Nero's fairly good looking, and he's totally okay with that. Nero's choices of fashion are subject to rolling out of bed and grabbing whatever fits, but he tends to usually throw on long sleeve button down shirts layered over tye dye t-shirts, loose, flowy shorts and sandals. He has three small loop earrings in one ear and two in the other, plus a stud in his tongue. He, from time to time, wears gloves of various sorts to prevent his hands from chafing.Weapons: A boombox, a 16 gig MP3 player, and a pair of high quality, heavy bass headphones. Yep.Skills: Nero has an amazing memory, particularly for sounds, being able to recall pretty much anything he's ever heard, even if he's only heard it once. He's also very dexterous and comfortable with his upper body and arms, picking up activities fairly easily such as handstands, or sculpting. This helps tremendously with moving fast in a wheelchair. On a more hobby related note, Nero is an excellent sailor, doing a lot of boating in his spare time prior to joining the X-Men. As a result, he's also an pretty good fisherman. Finally, he's an excellent analytical mind, making him a champion gamer, you pick the genre? He'll provide the beatdown.Personality: Nero is, on the surface, a big-hearted softie, usually happy and content to just be around friends and smile, content with the knowledge that everything is working out. While this big heart is true deep down, he's a very competitive spirit, easily cycling through emotions under the surface, particularly rage and depression. He also holds grudges for quite a while, though not externally, as he tries his hardest to get away from more negative emotions, something he's struggled with for most of his life, particularly after his accident. His biggest driving force is to be the best person he can be to whoever he can, but when suitably riled up, is prone to excessive and occasionally cruel acts in an attempt to sate the amped up emotions.Weakness: Nero's biggest and most obvious weakness is that he's paraplegic, paralyzed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair. Obviously, this sincerely hampers him in a combat situation. While not particularly weak to other peoples sound based powers, he's susceptible to his own; prolonged or repeated use, especially at high intensity, thoroughly ravages his equilibrium. Finally, Nero is easily persuaded to prove himself useful, making him prone to hasty or rash decisions when he feels he's not doing anything of worth during a mission. Nero's a huge fan of medieval history, something that comes across in hos constructs, most of which are based off of medieval weaponry or armor.Bio: Nero hails from the mighty mighty Big Apple, New York City. Around the age of 10, while running across a street to meet with his mother, Nero was struck by a speeding car, permanently damaging his legs and spine, and paralyzing him from the waist down. His mother was also struck, as she attempted to save him, and fell into a coma. As a result, he drove into an almost suicidal depression, constantly raging and blaming himself for his mother's predicament. He would go on to throw himself into increasingly difficult and violent situations in an attempt to take out his rage on others, despite ending up hurt more often than not, which, unbeknownst to him, was what he wanted. Eventually, he took to remaining inside and devoting his time to video games, as it was the only way he felt that he could beat or dominate other people. This left him more empty than anything in the end, and by age 14, he found himself with nothing to live for. One day, he flew into rage and began trashing his room, but fell out of his chair. The overwhelming shame and rage caused him to cry out with fury, but he was completely unprepared for his powers to manifest at that point, a sonic boom devastating his room, causing severe damage to his family's apartment, and blowing out all of the windows in the building, the resulting damage almost killing both his father and himself, and injuring a large number of pedestrians. This event, in combination with his mother finally waking up from her coma, caused Nero to begin to crave change, not wanting anyone being hurt to be on his shoulders again if he could help it. His reunited parents, simply happy to see him no longer destroying himself, put everything they had into supporting him, even with the knowledge that he's a mutant being a factor. Eventually, at age 16, tired of having to move repeatedly to keep his family safe, Nero made his way to the Xavier Institute when he realized that he could get a firmer handle on his abilities, and ensure his family's safety from mutant hating mobs by relocating there. It is there that he now works to rein in his anger, and work on making the world a better place, things he considers only steps towards his goal: being the best person he can possibly be.I'll throw down a first post later on.
