If the main reason some people hate us is that we are tolerant and do not condone intolerance under any pretext then by all means I prefer to be hated by them as opposed to giving in to the alternative and let hate, disrespect and bigotry take over our site. I'm proud of our site standing up against it and the staff and especially the administration being insulted for it is actually just the result of them being professional.

Sure, I've still got them on my computer, actually. LEGO had some great online games those days.Oh man... nostalgia. Anyone remember Junkbot or Junkbot Undercover?

Talkbacks are automatically created on schedule. When a news story is created the talkback button automatically links to the News Discussion forum but you can edit the link manually afterwards, however, the talkback will still be created. It's a behaviour that annoys me as well but it will be fixed in the new front page.

Does that honestly surprice you?
These look really, really cool. Wish the picture quality could be better, though.

Oops, missed that. There is a link to the topic, but it's in the talkback button. I've udpated the story, thanks for the heads-up!

I do recall the interview but the site looked different then.Erm, hasn't this been out for a while now? I remember seeing this new site and an interview with one of the TLM designers about a couple of months ago, although I don't know if it was exclusive to the UK at that point...

Oh yes, nothing beats that one.I remember one that Spirit did where he closed a spam topic with a reworded Spongebob Squarepants song. I don't remember exactly how it went, but I do remember that it was funny.

I'm not entirely sure you need to be in UK to be eligible. I suggest you try it anyway.

Those magazines you speak of are not distributed by LEGO, though, but by third-party companies. You can get them at kiosks and they have nothing to do with the LEGO Club.

There you go.
Huh... cool! Is it possible to view the website he built?
There was a contest in 2001 where you had to create a website. BZPower administrator Binkmeister won the contest and actually became a webmaster at LEGO a few years later.
Wait... website building contest?
Independent of the fact that I bet Black Six already knows at least part of LEGO's plans, I do actually expect the other contests to be about other creative disciplines. Remember the website contest in 2001 where the Golden Hau could be won? Actually, I would love it if they made such a contest again. Of course, building is an obvious choice for a LEGO contest, but LEGO has shown in the past that they can host other types of contests as well. I would expect a writing contest, too and probably drawing as well, though I don't recall seeing that from LEGO yet.
These are Lego-sponsored contests on websites, B6. It's my understanding that while most Lego fansites focus on building, few focus/have forums for fanfiction stories or art. Plus IIRC Lego has never done either. It would be unprecedented.
My guess is they won't all be building contests. That would be pretty boring.I wish they would do art or story contests for the other masks. Probably not going to happen, though - they will probably just go through different building contests.
Although the Emmet Awards do bring me hope that they might actually do that.
They might do a video contest like the Emmet Awards though.

Don't make it so obvious that you already know about everything.
I think that's probably a safe assumption.
I would assume they will find other ways to distribute the other masks.Well, I'm sure most of us were expecting the golden MoCr, but this may make more sense.
Also I can't be the only one who loves the stands.
They're so.... detailed.
Maybe the rest of the masks and the are for other contests? Like, a contest where you build a toa/defender/creature using pieces from an element-specific toa & defender?

Thank you for standing up, but it's better if you leave them alone. I've seen that kind of person often enough (not just concering this topic) and they usually have an irrational hate they try to support with, most of the time, ridiculous and wrong arguments, just like the one you mentioned - how the heck would be be supposed to shut down other fan sites and why? I've seen a blatantly false and pretty harsh accusation on another site (the person doing so even claimed he was not joking but if you thought a bit about what he said, his accusation was not just wrong but logically inconsistent) but I decided it was not worth getting into an argument. Just let them be and remember, no matter what you like or enjoy, there will always be someone somewhere hating it for whatever reason. It's not worth your time and enjoyment trying to convince them when their opinion is not built on a logical and rational foundation that can be changed with other logical and rational arguments, usually you'll only end up in a pointless argument and with a bad temper afterwards.

Some people just hold an immature grudge against us because they felt they were banned for an unfair reason. Of course, whether or not that was the case I can't judge (but I do know the current administration is very fair and professional and I trust their good judgement) but I've seen the staff facing the craziest accusations that I'm not going to talk about here. It is true that BZPower and its staff has had a bad fame of being overly strict and tyrannical in the past and fact is, the relation between staff and general membership hasn't always been as good as it is now but with time, people here have matured and so have the staff. Just ignore those people and don't let them ruin your fun on our great site. And of course, if you have the chance, spread the word about how our site truly is. We don't mind criticism of course, so if you feel it's not all roses and flowers on our site, then by all means don't hesitate to address them, even outside the site - I just ask you to be fair when you do
Yes, I copied most of this straight from another topic. I just thought it fit here well.

I wouldn't care about the haters, LEGO has no reason to listen to them because they know what they find in us. Yes, BZPower has had some years where the relationship between staff and members was not stellar, among other issues, and BZPower still has its share of problems but the staff and the entire site have matured a lot over time. Clearly those guys who keep hating against our site haven't been here in a long time and frankly most of the "criticisms" BZPower has faced over the years are just ridiculous beyond belief - including the strange assumption that BZPower had an impact on the fandom large enough to affect BIONICLE's sales in any measurable and relevant way. It's not too hard to overestimate one's influence and I'm not really blaming them for that, but when they go from that to pretending BZPower is, for a wrong reason, responsible for the cancellation of BIONICLE, then that's pretty crazy. When people start out with arguments like that, I wouldn't even bother arguing with them, just move on.I'd unlink the facebook page if I were you... there's already a bunch of people raging and insulting BZPower.
I only saw one comment, but then again, I'm on mobile so they may not be showing up. What I don't get is why people blindly hate this site?
Well, judging by one comment, they were definitely inspired by the people who said BZPower was almost singlehandedly responsible for Bionicle's downfall
(instead of, you know, a story so complicated your average fan doesn't even know half of what was going on)
Anyway, good to know which mask my brother and I will win.

If I recall right, Ninjago and Yoda Chronicles are made by the same studio but Chima is definitely made by another than Ninjago.

My phone crashed when I opened this topic. I'm not kidding. I think I've already found the cause, though, and it was not the awesomeness of this contest.
It's been some time since I participated in the contest, but this is a definite one. This is fantastic!

That's a good point and knowing LEGO, that's possibly what they thought. I guess we won't know the winners then.
So it's that hard for them to say "contest over, winner this guy this guy this guy and this guy"The people who won probably received messages, claimed their prize, and then everyone went on their merry way again. I doubt they will post the twitter names of those who won, and although it would be nice if they came out and said 'the contest is over', at this point you can probably assume that it is.
Hard? No. But not preferable. Maybe it WOULD be a good idea to share that the contest is over (even though the fact that more than a day has passed should clue people in). But it most likely WOULDN'T be a good idea to share the names of the winners on social media–if they do that, then imagine the number of people sending messages asking to buy the sets, or worse, people who feel put out about not winning sending hate mail. The people who won don't need that kind of attention, and if they don't invite it themselves by posting that they won then it's better left unsaid.

Is this feature able to be implemented?

Technically, the admins should be able to change the wording - if they take the time to look through the board software files and modify the right file manually and of course remember which one it was so they could make the change every time the board software had to be updated, most likely losing the manual change. I guess they just didn't consider it worth the effort.
