  1. Character: Name: Tyren Species: Turaga Gender: Male Powers: Magnetism Gear: Noble Kanohi Mahiki (shaped like a blue great Miru); infected Kanohi locked in a box (unknown noble Kanohi for now); key to said box (always with him); Staff of Confusion: contact with a target causes mild confusion such as symptoms of vertigo, loss of sense of direction, temporary short-term memory loss, possible anger or frustration, or however any PC chooses to react to be "confused" Personal Aircraft: Axalara salvaged from a nearby crash that killed its previous Agori owner; named Sull Allegiance/Role: The Makuta, Vamprah specifically but all of them generally even though he knows the Order is gone (doesn't know the details though), neutral in all affairs due to his hermit status for the last thousand+ years Appearance: Black and grey Turaga with a blue Great Miru and a simple staff Personality: Having lived alone since making it to the surface of now-Barren Magna, Tyren doesn't speak too much. It's not that he's shy or especially quiet, he just doesn't say more than he needs to, really. He's very cautious and knows his own limitations. His mind has been darkened from centuries of wearing an infected Kanohi, so in his heart he's on Makuta's side, though he's not automatically on every evil being's side. In fact, he would openly work and live with "the good guys" and even perform acts of kindness. In the mundane aspects of living, he's otherwise fairly normal. His dream is to use his secret infected Kanohi to revive his master Makuta Vamprah, so he keeps it safe, locked in a chest and retaining the key at all times. At the time of his entrance into the story, he's simply curious about the world around him and any other survivors he might meet- he has no idea civilization even exists anymore. He's open to reconnecting with the old Matoran Universe inhabitants and learning about the new world's people. Bio: Tyren was once a Toa of Magnetism who was the sole protector of a small village of matoran, guided by a lone Turaga of Water. During the Great Cataclysm, he had to sacrifice his Toa Power to save the village, which turned him into a Turaga. The Turaga of Water, though, died during the event, leaving Tyren as the only non-Matoran of the village. After some time, Matoran began disappearing from the village, until one night, when Tyren was confronted in his home by Makuta Vamprah himself. Few words were exchanged, but by the time the sun came up, Vamprah was gone, Tyren's Kanohi was infected, and Tyren had pledged the village to serve Vamprah by growing crops for the Makuta, who would then use them to feed his various creepy-crawly experimental Rahi. Vamprah would occasionally check in on the village to ensure its loyalty, and over the centuries, Tyren became fully devoted to serving the Makuta. When Teridax took over the Matoran Universe, Tyren celebrated, though this was short lived, since the universe itself soon collapsed. His entire village wa skilled, and it took Tyren a month in mostly darkness to make it out of the dead giant robot. He found himself alone in a strange, desolate wasteland, and has traveled by himself ever since, just trying to stay alive. He switched his infected Kanohi with the dead Turaga of Water's, and keeps his infected one locked safely away. Aircraft: Name: Sull, This was the name the ship identified itself as in the home console/interface when Tyren first pilots it Model: Axalara Weaponry and Customization: Two average Midak skyblaster-type forward blasters, which deal average damage at an average speed; one underside chamber capable of housing a single, large bomb; customized to have a second underside chamber containing a single set of cluster bombs; a second customization is an integrated kanohi system that utilizes a great Sanok to achieve a sort of assisted-autopilot vehicle drive where the ship is able to lock on to another Vehicle or target and pursue them regardless of the target's maneuvering. This can allow the Sull to follow other ships unless the target is drastically faster than the Sull over a considerable period of time. This affects only the steering of the Sull and does not apply to the weapons Appearance: Idk, just kind of generic I guess lol. I'll try and come up with a decent sketch and then have someone make a more detailed drawing or whatever to then add to this post sometime. For now, let's just say it's orange and black, with some cool stripes in there somewhere. Obviously a little rough since it crashed but it's still operable just fine.
  2. "Oh hey, there's an update in the BZPRPG general" "Nevermind :(" What's it going to take to jumpstart this game?
  3. What's it going to take to get people actively involved again I think people who are currently interacting with each other should behind-the-scenes figure out how they want the immediate situation to play out, then we could all rapid-fire post some plot happenings. I don't mean to sound negative, but the story is at a stand-still, and while I think getting to the next Chapter/season will help people get a fresh start and newfound motivation to play, the ending of Chapter 3 seems to be eternal. The fight in Ko-Koro alone has taken closer to two years now? I'm gonna keep being active with my characters in Ta-Koro/Wahi, and I hope the warehouse fight in Ko-koro comes to some resolution soon! I'd like to see who make it out alive.
  4. IC: Ame and Baden had been walking for several hours by the time the road open up to a large gate. A Ta-Matoran guardsman stopped them. "Halt! What business do you have in Ta-Koro?" Ame did the talking. "We've been trapped in a cave out in the forest for... too long. This world is unfamiliar, and we just want a place to stay while learn what's transpired in our absence. Could you take us to Vakama?" The Ta-Matoran stared blankly at the pair. "Vakama... Our Turaga died long ago. All of them did. They were murdered. Each of the Koro's are now led by an Akiri, with Jaller being the Akiri of Ta-Koro. He's busy at the moment. There's been a murder and some mystery here recently, otherwise I would arrange a meeting. Wait here." The guard disappeared into a room. "The Turaga are dead? Perhaps you're the only one alive now, Ame. I won't let anyone harm you, I promise." "Thank you, Baden, but I'm sure that won't be necessary." "Well I'll protect you, no matter what. This world seems dangerous. Who knows what evil lurks within it. Look, the guard's returning." The guard came out while he was finishing a sentence with another. The other guard observed the Toa and Turaga before going back inside the building. "I can spare a few minutes to lead you inside Ta-Koro. I'll take you to one of our house-arrest holding cells. I'm sorry, it's hardly a room to live in, but we're not exactly overflowing with criminals, so it's available, and you'll be able to stay there a few days until you figure out your next step. After I show you your room, I'll escort you to the Wall of History. There, you can read about everything that's transpired during your absence." "Thank you very much, sir. We appreciate any hospitality we shall receive." Ame and Baden walked towards the guardsman in time to witness a bridge rising out of the lava surrounding Ta-Koro. The pair both stared in awe as they watched each spire rise into place. "Follow me please." The Ta-Matoran began walking across the bridge, with Ame and Baden close behind, each noting the warmth of the stone under their ancient feet. The journey across took barely a minute before they reached the main gate of Ta-Koro. A few other guardsman waved the group past. Baden and Ame both went wide-eyed as they came into Ta-Koro's plaza. Matoran bustled all across a marketplace as wares were bought and sold. Some workers hauled carts between the crowd and a few entertainers drew an audience on some corners. If there truly was a murder mystery unfolding, the average citizen seemed unaffected. The Ta-Matoran guard led the pair into the police headquarters. The inside of this building was much quieter than the bustling market square. The trio walked down a hall and took a turn, before the guard stopped and turned to the two. "That's Akiri Jaller up ahead, leaned against the wall. Don't talk to him, he's busy." And just like that, the three walked past Jaller before turning into another hallway. The guard walked up to a door, unlocked it, then ushered the two inside. The room wasn't too small; it had two beds, a table, a desk, and a few thin shelves along the walls. No rug, though, or windows, or plants or any sort of decoration save for a small crack wiggling through one wall. "Here's where you'll stay for the time being. Now, let me show you to the Wall of History." Ame and Baden were led back out of the police headquarters and through the city again. It wasn't just Ta-Matoran living here, they noticed. There were representatives of many elements, and even some Toa walking about. In no time at all, they reached the Wall of History. "I'll leave you two here. Read as much as you'd like before heading back to your quarters. Don't feel like you're in any trouble or are a burden by being here. We're always glad to have more Toa around," he said, nodding towards Baden. After that, the Ta-Matoran bowed and began walking back towards his post. "Do you think Ta-Koro will ask me to do Toa-stuff for them?" Baden was clearly nervous as he asked his question. "If you're needed, it is your duty as a Toa to answer the call, Baden. I'm sure you won't be needed for now, though. We should focus on getting settled, starting with understanding everything we've missed." And so the pair began reading the Wall of History...
  5. IC: Azza and Skorm were within reach of the bird now. Azza put his disk back on his back in preparation of being hoisted up on the getaway Rahi. He looked behind him and saw the entrance to the warehouse filled with Legacy goons- and none of them seemed merciful. "Get me up, please!" Azza shouted while reaching up towards the saddle of the Rahi.
  6. Ta-Wahi- Beach- In the Time Before Time "Ame's back!" "Ame's back!" "Ame's come to visit again!" Several Matoran shouts echoed around the tents. The campsite was a temporary settlement filled with Matoran of nearly every element. Many had come here to wait to be accepted in the newly-finished Ta-Koro. Others, feeling they didn't fit in with the other Koros, had resorted to a semi-nomadic life and were just stopping at another temporary settlement along their endless path. A few were here to provide aid or lend their survival skills to ensure the vagabonds didn't starve or fall ill. All of them were cheery, all of them helped their brothers and sisters, and all of them thanked Mata-Nui for their wondrous lives. As Ame walked through the main entrance, a mob of smiling Matoran swarmed around his waist. "It's good to see you all again, my friends!" Ame was a Toa of Plasma. Friendly to his core, Ame loved spending time with the Matoran and getting to know each of them on a personal level. He was able to know many of them across the entire island due to his Mask of Speed. Ame felt it necessary to visit with the Matoran due to the scarce number of Toa even present on Mata-Nui. In his opinion, the Matoran needed to see their protectors so they could work with a peace of mind. The Turaga shared with these Toa a legend stating that these Toa weren't destined to stay with the Matoran. These Toa were created by Mata-Nui to oversee and protect the construction of the six Koros. With the final settlement, Ta-Koro, finally completed, Ame hadn't seen or heard from his brothers and sisters. He worried for them, and for himself. "I'm glad to see you're all doing well! I'll meet with everyone later tonight by the center bonfire. I have some news to share with everyone." Ame finally waded past the Matoran and began walking towards a particular tent. There was one Matoran among these vagabonds whom Ame felt he could truly call his friend. "HELLOOOOOO DID YA MISS ME?!" Ame hollered as he swung open the entrance flap to a large canvas tent. Inside, a plethora of shiny knick-knacks and collectible Kanohi lined the shelves and tables. A Matoran jumped out of his seat, spilling a glass of water. "Ame! Good to see you again, my friend! I was just about to head out to explore a cave I found the other day!" The silver-and-blue figure was Baden, a Matoran of Lightning, and known adventurer. Baden loved exploring the island of Mata-Nui and oftentimes shared the many treasures he'd discover with whatever community he was currently living with. "I just stopped by to say hello. Don't take all day spelunking; I've got important news to share with everyone tonight. Join us at the central bonfire, okay?" Before Baden could reply, Ame had exited the tent and could be heard joking with other Matoran outside. Baden cleaned up the spilled water, grabbed his favorite walking stick, strapped on his backpack, and jogged out of the camp and into the forest. After an hour or so, he reached the mouth of the cave he mentioned to Ame. Thick vines crawled across the entrance, but Baden worked a few of them apart and squeezed his way inside. Drawing out a lightstone from his pack, Baden ventured into the caves depths. He was careful and quiet, in case any sleeping danger await ahead. But Baden found nothing, only a central tunnel slowly descending into Mata-Nui's deeper layers. "This cave must lead to something," Baden decided. "The walls are too smooth and there's no other passageways. There's an end to this cave, and I bet there's a Kanohi waiting for me there!" He quickened his pace. Soon, he entered a large, hollow chamber, bare except for the far wall. "I knew it!" Baden hurried to the opposite end of the room where he found a carved hole. "A key? I need a key? Maybe I can cheat." Baden removed a few carving tools from his pack, and before long had whittled a stone roughly into the shape of whatever would fit into the hole in the wall. Baden shoved the stone inside. BOOM! Baden felt tremendous pain before everything went black... Ame was helping a Ko-Matoran assemble a telescope when everyone froze in place to stare at a tremendous bolt of lightning descending from the heavens. It struck somewhere in the forest. "It's barely cloudy... that wasn't natural.." Ame's Toa instincts raced. He knew this meant danger. The answer rushed through his thoughts. "Baden!" Ame dropped what parts he held and raced out of the encampment with his Kakama. He scoured miles of the forest in seconds before he found a cave with vines covering the entrance and fresh Matoran footprints in the mud in front of a forced-open entrance through the vines. A quick run around the cave revealed a powerful blast had indeed struck the roof of the cave, incinerating everything within a few feet of the blast, and generating a deep crevice in the rock and soil. The ground shook beneath him. Without a moment to lose, Ame raced inside the cave, descending down the same path towards the hollow chamber while he dodged several falling rocks. The smoke was still rising off Baden's unconscious body when he arrived. "He's still alive," Ame let a hundred different scenarios cross his mind. Baden was dying, the cave was collapsing, and Ame wouldn't make it back to the village with him in time. He had to act now if his friend was to live. "I must do my duty..." Ame placed his hand over Baden's heartlight and forced his energy inside the Matoran. As he felt his body changing, Ame noticed Baden's face was different. "What happened to his mask?" Baden wore a Tryna-shaped Kanohi, but it no longer resembled any mask Ame had seen before. His observations were interrupted by Baden's chest expanding, along with a brightly-glowing heartlight. A sense of relief overwhelmed Ame, but soon that feeling gave way to a feeling of sadness as Ame watched his Toa hand shrink. He was a Toa no more, but Baden had become one in his place. "Ame? What are you doing here? Wait, you've changed!" Baden sat up, then looked at his legs. "I've changed!" Before any more words could escape either mouth, the entrance to the chamber spewed dust and rocks and the ceiling of the cave dropped down to the floor. Though the ceiling had some large cracks, the hollow chamber itself seemed unaffected by the cave in. "We're trapped.." Baden began to panic. "Calm yourself, Baden. You're a Toa now. You must learn to control your fear. Consider this your first Toa lesson." Ame stood up and paced around the former entrance. "Here's lesson #2: patience. I'm sure the villagers will come looking for us, and sooner or later we shall be freed." But they never were. The pair waited, and waited, and slept, and waited. After what felt like a week, Ame began to train Baden in using his new powers. Together, they tried to bore a tunnel through the cave wall, but electricity proved ineffective, and Ame's plasma was too diminished as a Turaga. Eventually, they hibernated. Then awoke and trained and hibernated again. Over and over they repeated this cycle, until they would hibernate for years at a time. Time itself lost all meaning, and the pair forgot nearly all of their past lives. After one long sleep, Baden decided to force his mask power to reveal itself. He concentrated for hours, until his mask spoke to him. "My powers won't help you." Baden jumped back in shock. "I can only teleport you to places we can see." "You can talk?" Baden and Ame both couldn't believe it. After some time, they learned Baden's mask had gained sentience from the lightning strike. It called itself Kualsk, and never had much to say. It slept while Baden slept, and over countless year Baden and Kualsk learned to work together. Eventually, Baden could rapidly teleport all across the room. But the room was small, so that's as far as they could go. Together, Ame, Baden, and Baden's strange Kanohi lay down to sleep again. They would not awaken for quite some time... Ta-Wahi- Charred Forest- Present Day Baden awoke first this time. He let his teacher sleep. He went through a routine of kicks again, focusing on exerting tiny electrical blasts at the tip of his feet with each strike. After working up a mild sweat, he turned to nudge Ame awake. Instead, he saw a Hoto Bug crawling across Ame's lap. "Look above," Ame's kind voice instructed. On the chamber's ceiling, several more Hotos were crawling around, with even more appearing through the rock. "They're tunnelers, Baden. They're our way out of this cave." It took all day, but Ame softened the rocky tunnels of the Rahi before Baden blasted them apart. Eventually, they climbed through the tunnels to the surface. For the first time in ages, the pair felt the fresh breeze blowing across their faces. They embraced each other for several minutes before Ame spoke. "This is a forest of ash and destruction. We should leave this place." Baden hoisted Ame onto his shoulders. "Where should we go?" Even without direction, Baden took the first steps towards leaving the cave behind. "A name is coming to me." While Baden walked, Ame concentrated, allowing words to enter his thoughts that hadn't appeared in years. "Va... Vako... Vakama.." he finally worked out. "Vakama is the Turaga of Ta-Koro. He is wise, we should go to him. He will know what we should do." Before long, the pair came upon a path, which they followed until they reached a sign pointing them in the direction of Ta-Koro. "Won't be long now." :OOC Let me know if I should change any of these origin details. The Anxilia mask of Baden was approved by Ghosthands. Both Turaga Ame and Toa Baden are new characters by me. They'll be in Ta-Koro by next post and I'm open for interaction after that. If anyone wants to position themselves near the Ta-Koro gates, that'd be swell. Neither of them remember life before the cave. Their personalities haven't really changed, but Ame can sort of remember a few proper nouns if he really tries, thus his guidance towards Ta-Koro and Vakama, who I realize is dead but Ame doesn't know that yet
  7. IC: Azza felt the adrenaline pumping through his veins once again. This brave Toa was going to save him! Enemies were pouring in with each passing second, though. Azza shuddered as the thought of what might happen to his heroes after his departure invaded his mind. "We're almost there," he reminded himself. "A minute more and I'll be leaving this place behind. I'll be a free Matoran once more." ZIP! A glowing sphere barely missed Azza and Skorm. Azza looked back and saw a dark Matoran loading another round from the entrance to the warehouse. He fired again, straight towards the Toa's skull. Azza held his disk up and intercepted the shot. A few seconds was all it took for the Kanoka to dissolve. Azza tossed away the scrap and drew another disk. "Two left.." Azza worried. "I'll make them count." Other evil warriors ran between the two Matoran, obscuring the line of sight and buying Skorm and Azza precious moments to continue their advance. "We're gonna make it, just a few strides more!" The bird was so close...
  8. I've been thinking it'd be fun to run a Makuta-player campaign using the Red Star Games d20 system. The premise would be six players are makuta trying to take over metru nui. The setting is an alternate universe where Icarax beat Teridax but wasn't able to maintain control of the Brotherhood, resulting in it becoming decentralized. The players would be six Makuta in this organization who for whatever reason want to conquer Metru Nui and then control the universe themselves. They'd have all powers a Makuta has, but for balance Metru Nui is comparable to the Toa Empire Universe in that it's fairly well defended. Also, the team would start on Destral I'd assume. Would this be playable on this site? Should I just get six players together on here then move to roll20? Any interest at all? https://www.redstargames.org/ I could also just use the Red Star Games rulebooks as more of a guide, then we could just have a traditional topic going on this forum. That might work best, honestly. Just let me know if there's interest in this type of campaign and if I could get six people to play.
  9. IC: Azza was really losing it. He couldn't feel his extremities as he crawled across the frozen warehouse floor. The cold air stung his exposed face, and the Kanoka Disks on his back were starting to bruise him. Still, he crawled on. Azza crawled towards renewed hope of escape. Living in a Koro overrun with evil was worse than anyone could have imagined. The townsfolk frequently mugged each other over perceived slights. Homes were broken into every night, including his own, and more than once at that. Sometimes, the innocent matoran's homes were torched and set ablaze. Once, Azza saw a matoran's home sealed shut with ice and stone. He never learned if the inhabitants ever made it out. Azza had to seal up his own mind just the same so he could survive. He showed no emotion, nor ever looked up from the ground after Ko-Koro had fallen. But these toa gave him hope again. Shots began zooming into the warehouse. The Legacy's reinforcements were arriving. Azza hoped the Maru would be okay. The Toa were firing back at them, and Azza was caught in the middle. He stayed low and kept crawling forward, until something grabbed him, raising him off the ground. "I'm Skorm. If you want to leave, I'd suggest hanging on and watching my back." Azza blinked, stunned. A Toa had scooped him up! His heart raced and he felt alive again, if only for a second, before he froze in fear as a spear hurled towards them. But it randomly just stopped and fell to the ground like a dead tree's branch. Azza looked over and saw the heavy Toa's arm outreached. "Gravity.. Like me.." Somehow, that reassured Azza. "Watch his back.." Azza's thoughts were starting to form complete sentences again. He pulled a Kanoka Disk from his back and held it up like a small shield, guarding his face and the back of the Toa's head. It wasn't much, but maybe it'd make the difference between survival and death, for the both of them now. As the Toa of Gravity began to move again, Azza caught the fight between Stannis and Eisen in the distance that was still unfolding. It seemed a stalemate. Azza's thoughts grew resolute. "If I get the chance, if I get the right angle, one disk in the right spot is all it'd take to knock that monster's mask into the air." That had to wait. Azza needed to focus; the Toa needed him.
  10. IC: It’s not about being a hero, it’s about being alive. Azza kicked with his limp legs and slid off the toa’s shoulders. If Azza could formulate complete sentences, he might’ve commented on the irony of a toa of ice being warmer than the floor. “I need to get on...” Were his legs walking? No, he couldn’t even stand. “Crawl.” Azza heaved his body past the crates. He wasn’t used to so much light entering his eyes, but really he wasn’t used to life without a mask. “Get me...” Azza crawled towards the Gukko at a pace that felt timeless. He couldn’t think anymore. He couldn’t feel anymore. If he missed this miracle, he soon wouldn’t live anymore.
  11. It's nice to see some activity coming back; hope everyone'shad a great start to this new year! I wanted to post just to say that I'll be making an Azza post tomorrow, and I think I'll create a second character. Without getting caught up in which one is my "main" one, I think I'll keep Azza focused on interacting with other players and hopefully serving a point in the larger BZPRG plot, and whatever this other character ends up being can be my outlet for just posting whenever I want and not having to rely on others to advance some kind of story. I haven't fleshed out a new character idea yet, so it'll still be some time. So I've been going over some concept ideas for a second character. I think I'll skip right towards a toa-level character. Maybe a Turaga, but I'd have to figure out exactly what kind of powers they can really exert. But I wanted to get some input on these two ideas: inika-type toa and toa hordika. Are these kinds of characters allowed? I've taken care of this now, and will be making a second character, so hooray! In the meantime, I'm genuinely open to Azza not escaping Ko-koro or even dying, though I hope he's alright :c I'm loving what's going on in that warehouse.
  12. Lmao it's neat how Bionicle has ended up still being a positive thing for everyone. Thanks to Lego for investing in something so great.
  13. So who is kind of in charge of BZPRPG? I'd like to keep my character's story going, but posting is kind of slow, so I hope I can PM with someone about some ideas to move forward. I'd like to post more often.
  14. Ohhhhh haha that makes so much more sense. It's like the only other active thing so I guess I assumed it was part of bzprpg. It'd still be funny to see people collide but yeah nevermind in that hahaha. So I'm just going to leave my last ko-wahi post, then? I don't want to hold up the story so if I need to change something I can, otherwise I'm leaving the post as is.
  15. Oh lol sorry I just now saw this. If everyone's okay with where it's currently at, I'm fine with how things are turning out. I tried to match the relative level of events happening that Fanixe showed and introduce Rorschach while retaining the stealth element he was going for. Yeah. there is just a lot of people doing a lot at once, and I tried to leave off my post in a way so as to kind of free up most other players from having to factor me in when trying to decide their actions. If anyone wants anything changed I'm fine with that, but again, I feel totally okay with being maskless yet out of immediate danger while protected by a toa who isn't trying to fight in this showdown right now.
  16. Azza was tired. Tired of going to sleep every night fearful of how he might wake. Tired of the abuse of those Makuta worshipers who plagued the city. Tired of his detachment from the world of Mata Nui. Most of all, Azza was tired from his perilous dash towards freedom. The parts of his body not too frozen to feel were aching. Azza saw the two gravity powerhouses lock against the wall. He wanted to get up, to fight again, but he couldn't. Azza sat in the bloody slush. Out of the corner of his Rau, he saw Stannis Maru engage Eisen once more, but before his head stopped turning, all his senses became a blur. Azza felt a Kane-Ra charge into his chest. Then only the wall behind him and the knife at his throat. "Ba Toa, Le toa, all you self-righteous fools. Stop moving, or this Matoran's story ends now." Azza looked out at the half-dozen fighters assembled. The tracks on the floor. Smashed crates, even craters in the floor. Cautiously, he tilted his eyes up enough to see Lantz's proud chin protruding from under his Jutlin. Instinctively, Azza shuddered at his power and tried to make himself as small as possible- to go away, back to a safe place. When his eyes looked down, though, he caught the eyes of someone new, and this stranger reached out and placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. “Come on, I’m getting you out of here.” Azza couldn't fight anymore. He let this toa of ice's hand suddenly grip and yank his limp body. In a flash, Azza was free from Lantz' blade- but not Lantz himself. Lantz reacted with a grab just as quick as the first, except he didn't attach himself to Azza's shoulder. Lantz held Azza by his mask, so when he pulled to take his hostage back, he instead ripped off Azza's Rau! Lantz stumbled back half a step, while Azza fell into his rescuer and they both fell back into the crevice between those large, neglected crates and the wall. His senses began to blur once more...
  17. IC: A chunk of scrap flew past Azza before connecting with the head of the Le toa. She went down, hard. The maelstrom forcing Lantz against the wall was subsiding, but first, Azza's disk cut through the icy air and slammed into the toa of gravity- or at least it would have, had he not raised his arms to block the Kanoka. But while the dark toa was defending himself from Azza's disk, another toa of gravity used his powers to shoot himself like an arrow straight towards Lantz! Azza stopped reaching for another disk, instead falling back on his butt. He was tired, and the adrenaline pumping through his purple and black body was starting to weaken. He sat and looked; to his left, Eisen and Stannis were rapidly exchanging blows, to his right, this one evil toa was pinned and seemingly on the verge of defeat. Azza had tried to affect the battle, but seemed only to be mildly distracting his foes. Still, he hoped that last disk would grant just the opening needed to finish of Lantz. Everyone could surround Eisen, then. So Azza sat, and looked, and waited. Either the gravity toa on the wall would surrender or be killed by the gravity toa soaring towards him, or the heroes would be stalled until too many Makuta worshipers arrived, dooming them all to death- or worse. Azza's resolve strengthened, and though his hands were numb he knew they were balled into fists. Azza waited for the right moment to involve himself in the fight again...
  18. Things have slowed down, but there isn't really a way to expedite them. Part of a collaborative game is the fact that speed is always going to be limited by people's schedules. In this case, mine especially; I had a busy few weeks with family matters, and that really limited my ability to sit down and write a post. Especially one that needed to react to so much. The staff are working to reach the next arc. The main storyline is nearing its end phases, for that. As long as we can keep up the rate on certain posts we need, we should get there before too long. In the meantime, we appreciate everyone's patience. I hope you didn't take my post as being upset :3 I'm enjoying how things are going. It's cool to see everyone else interact! I'm looking forward to seeing what the staff has in store. Are the Corpus Rahkshi characters ever going to be involved in the main island story? Or is that island pretty much isolated from the plot? IMO it'd be neat if one day many of the mata nui hero characters had to defend an invasion from the educated rahkshi lol.
  19. IC: Azza thought about his journey to Ko-koro. How he spent a few years working on fishing boats in Ga-wahi before spending the past several cutting and polishing lightstones in Onu-koro. Azza remembered the day he realized his life felt incomplete, as if he were unaware of some purpose or task he alone was supposed to carry out. That day, he finished cutting the large, glowing gem he was working on, then quit. Azza sold his belongings and was on an ussal crab to ko-koro the next day. Azza spent almost a year in Ko-koro. At first, he tried socializing, but soon adopted the solemn lifestyle of the ice matoran and eventually became practiced in isolated mindfulness. Meditation had become his sole task, his only mission. Living under the outlaw's rule had been a trial. Azza had been mugged in the street dozens of times, his home broken into, what sparse possession he had were stolen, and was even forced to move once, after his old home was intentionally flooded and frozen shut. "- matoran!" Someone was talking to him. Azza remembered where he was. His stiff figure rose off the ground while his frozen hands grabbed another disk. The dark foe had jumped against a wall. "He's able enough with his powers," Azza observed. The toa of Air conjured a gale force that blasted the pinned shadow toa against the wall. "I can't just stand around; the toa can't focus on me and the bad guys all at once. I have to just act!" Again, Azza launched a disk straight towards Lantz. Not a second after the disk's departure, Azza's fist was already grasping another projectile. OOC: Yo Toa Fanixe I am 100% gonna be around today and this week so you (and everyone else) can count on me to interact and affect the story! We having a showdown boi
  20. Some time has passed since I started playing, and it's been super fun, but now I feel caught waiting on other players to get on and post a plot update. I don't really know how to solve this problem, besides some kind of rapid action and shortening of current conflicts, so if anyone in the ko-wahi warehouse wants to hijack the main fight going on right inside the ko-koro warehouse, I'd gladly join your new plot path and post often with you to develop a story. I'm still looking forward to the immediate conflict resolution happening with so many players right now! It's just that I would prefer being able to post more often. It seems like everyone's stories across all of Mata-Nui have slowed way down, so maybe the administrators could get together and figure out a way to bridge everything back into one overarching plot development- or even climax to this chapter- so that a lot of people could interact with tons of other characters. Would it be okay to share some general story ideas I have for my matoran here? After a month of thinking about it and trying to post to be involved, I've come up with a few details that would be fun to play.
  21. IC: Azza crashed back into the ground before his disk hit his target. The moment before his Rau would slam into the icy floor, he peeked another gravity toa entering the fray with the Legacy Ba-toa that his disk was still hurling towards. Once that moment passed, another instant of pain transpired where Azza rolled onto his back to grab his face. His fingers were almost too chilled to feel the small dent in his Kanohi. Azza relaxed his numb body on the ground and shut his eyes again after seeing the Fe-Toa bolt towards the foe of Stannis Maru. At this point, Azza fought just to stay awake. OOC: Yeah that's all literally just a second's worth of development lol. I hope I hit Lantz ^^
  22. IC: Azza fled through the mob. Kanoka disk in hand he leapt beyond the reach of any wicked being that wasn't too dazed to move. The Makuta worshippers had been savaged. It didn't make Azza happy to see, but he wouldn't care for any of them either. His next leap took him over some curled up matoran, and when he landed, Azza saw movement just inside inside the warehouse entrance. "Should I follow the toa?" Azza spun around a rising thug. "I might have better odds at escape...." Azza leapt over another matoran, "but if I get caught without the toa-" Azza tripped! The matoran in the snow yanked Azza's purple foot out from under him! Instead of falling away, though, Azza fell into the pull and brought his other foot down on the wounded matoran's head. Azza expected some reaction of pain, but his foe just collapsed into unconsciousness. Azza took off towards the warehouse entrance at full speed. "-without the toa, getting caught means in dead. I'll try not to slow them but I think I can't leave them now!" Azza bolted through the entrance to interrupt some showdown. "Stannis Maru?" Closer still, those two who seemed responsible for injuring the makuta worshippers. A toa of Azza's element was charging them. There was no time to think. Azza's chilled body propelled off the slush. Azza's body spun through the air while he slung his throwing disk straight towards the Gravity Toa as he ran towards the Air Toa! OOC: Hey let me know if involving myself in the combat of others is not ok. I don't know how retconning works with BZPRPG but worst case scenario I can rewrite this brief scene and choose to run away, not towards the drama. I don't mean to step on any toes! Also I'm a matoran so clearly not the best fighter at all, I just rushed a surprise attack and hope it helps!
  23. IC: Azza's feet started going numb from the snow. Since the hostile takeover, Ko-koro hasn't had their streets cleaned as thoroughly as they should have been. So far the Makuta worshipers seemed to be too focused on their own lives to care about a lone matoran running. Azza exited the latest alleyway and turned a sharp corner. Too sharp. His Rau slammed hard against the snowy street. "Get up," he thought. His body forced itself forward again and he readjusted the disks on his back. "Someone's shouting," he observed as he ran close to the warehouse now. "Are the toa liberating the koro finally? Should I have stayed home and waited? No, I can't go back. I must keep going." Azza lept over a pile of rubbish spilling out of the next alleyway. Before he landed though, two brown matoran hustled out of the alley. A collision was unavoidable. SLAM Azza landed directly on top of one of them, the other stumbling over the tangled matoran. Azza was never much of a fighter, and certainly not violent, but this time could not allow normal behavior. This was about survival. "it's me or them," he reassured himself. "Do it!" In the next instant, Azza jumped off the tackled Po-Matoran before kicking at his Huna with all the strength he could summon. The mask went flying, and the Po-Matoran shrieked in pain. Azza landed and reached for a disk while his eyes connected with the other Po-Matoran, who had regained his footing and summoned some dirk. "Who do you think you are?! You're gonna regret bumping into us!" The Po-matoran lunged, but Azza lunged as well. Instead of throwing the disk, Azza slammed it into his attacker's weapon-hand, forcing him to drop his blade. A quick spin, and the momentum carried his disk-hand into this Po-Matoran's Hau. Azza kicked the knife, which slid several feet away, before speeding off again. "They're too slow to catch me; just keep sprinting." Azza made sure to look down the alleyways as he continued is sprint towards freedom. Another minute, or was it an eternity? Azza's eyes were fogging some. He rubbed them, and in his cleared vision he saw before him several matoran of various koro's huddled around a black skakdi- and the skakdi saw him. "Don't fight. Turn away," and his frozen legs carried him down an alley again. "This leads towards the warehouse though." Azza's heart would be panicking if he had the time to really think. "I'll have to get lost in the crowd, or something. I have to keep moving." Azza reached for a disk again, but realized he was still holding one. A small chuckle escaped his lips, which comforted Azza. The close walls opened up to chaos. A horde of untold size surrounded the warehouse, with most on their knees or looking around in disarray. Not far off, towards the center, there was some green toa wielding a broadsword above their head. Another toa... skated through the mob and into the warehouse. "Is this a rescue mission? Should I go towards the toa? No, I would just slow them down, maybe I can run back.." but Azza turned and saw that Skakdi entering the alleyway. "I have to wing it!" Azza couldn't feel his feet, yet they carried him into the fray all the same. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!" Azza screamed raw emotion as he bolted as fast as he could towards the scene before him. He would either escape this corrupted koro, or die trying. OOC: ayyyy I'm happy everyone's getting on here! This'll be fun! I'm gonna do my part at least and try to check in on this thread throughout the rest of the week ^,^ no pressure to involve yourself with me but I'd love interaction all the same!
  24. I'm already excited! I hope everyone feels my energy and starts being pretty active for this battle in ko-koro! I can't wait to really start playing with everyone :3
  25. Lmao too late! Oh well the details don't really matter: he's a guy who was in ko-koro and wants to get out now. I referenced the blast in my first post so I'm establishing myself as somewhat close to ya'll. I hope I can witness some action! It'll be fun keeping up with your characters! Thanks for giving me the rundown on what's been going on. My guy, Azza, has basically just been trying to live in this new city but just cant't anymore, it's too evil and corrupted. Where Azza will go, who knows. For starters, he'll just have to get out! Is PMing the preferred method of characters planning out some mutual plot together? Like if I wanted to encounter you specifically, would we PM about it and what might need to happen to make that work? Or do you just post and let whatever happens, happen?
