    Free Dlc!

    Free B:AADLC today! I'm downloading it now.
    Considering my computer only froze during cutscenes, I'm hoping I'll be able to play these.
     
    EDIT:
    It worked! I played both the Combat (does that have a fancy title?) and Predator challenges included in the Insane NightDLC. It was really fun! The Predator map was really challenging though. And Batman can grapple from the sky!! =O
     
    Now if only the game wouldn't freeze during cutscenes, I could actually play the rest of the game.

    Capture Zone

    I looked at cp_gravelpit in Hammer and saw a cool overlay that I forgot about: "CAPTURE ZONE." I decided to put some "CAPTURE ZONE" overlays in the capture zones in my map. I also added health and ammo pickups.

    I Could Be Done

    My Graduation Project could be done already. It doesn't need to be balanced, fun, or even playable. It just needs to look good. In fact, it doesn't need to be finished; only the parts in the screenshots need to be done. So my map could be complete by now.
    But I just can't bring myself to wimp out like that. Odd, considering I'm lazy.
     
    Oh well.

    Not One, But Two

    'Kay. So yesterday, I said that one of the backordered CDs was shipped. Today, my mom told me it's two. Both are Black Dahlia Murder albums, Unhallowed and Nocturnal.
    One's in New Jersey, the other is in Indiana; I'm in Pennsylvania. If I'm lucky, I might get both tomorrow!
    Throw in the fact that there's no school tomorrow, and it seems like it'll be an okay day.
     
    Also, I haven't worked on my graduation project since school started. ;

    Project Progress

    My Graduation Project is coming along nicely, so I thought I'd share some pics of it.

    Some notes:
    -The map is going to be a 5-pont CP map, like Granary and Fastlane.
    -Those aren't the final textures, they're placeholders. Also, it's not gonna have the gray walls (that you see in the 3rd pic), they're just there to seal the map so I could test it.
    -The purple squares are the control points.
    -The middle point isn't actually done yet. It's way too empty and large there so I need to add some things, like the blocks on the 2nd point (white boxes in 3rd pic).
    -I'm probably going to add bridges connecting each spire, so you don't have to go all the way to the bottom to get from one to another.
     
    Um, I guess that's it for now. I'll make more blog posts as the map progresses when I go Premier.

    Oreos, Milk, And Metal

    The following is an IM conversation that happened a few minutes ago between my friend Josh and I:
     
    (10:54:34 PM) Me: i'm hungreh
    (10:54:42 PM)Josh: go eat?
    (10:54:47 PM) Me: i dunno what i want
    (10:54:53 PM) Me: but i need to find something
    (10:55:06 PM) Josh: ok...
     
    At this point I left to go get something to eat. When I returned:

    Today

    Today I started my Graduation Project. 0_o
    I barely got anything done in that hour, but now that I'm more competent with Hammer hopefully I'll be able to work faster in the future.
     
    Also, I got 50 dollars today from my aunts for my birthday (which is the 28th). $35 of that might be going towards Premier Membership.
     
    I had something else to say, but forgot. Oh well.
