  1. IC: [Ga-Koro; Marine HQ] The receptionist chuckled a little at Voutok’s words which were apparently amusing to the odd little Ga-Matoran. “Oh, you don’t know? I figured everybody in the village would be there… The funeral for Turaga Nokama is being held, silly! That’s where Mr. Ketan is.” She told him and then when she realized that she was receiving odd looks from all four men, she rubbed her thumbs together and says, “Not that that’s funny at all…” Firion’s eyes narrowed and he mutters, “Uh, well I guess we know where to head then.”
  2. OOC: I finally posted! IC: [Kilayox - Olford Mines] Fire, wind, and water were being thrown throughout the mine without caution hitting and damaging structures without warning. Kilayox cackled madly as she danced in the chaotic environment, paying no attention to her ‘allies’. She was enjoying herself far too much to be bothered with babysitting them in this fight. They appeared to be purely focused on the battle, though. Their enemies were determined to kill them after all and the slightest mistake could lead to a bullet in one’s foot or head or being burnt alive. The point was clear. Whoever won this battle would be the people who were the most careful. However, no one noticed that the wall behind them was starting to crack. The elevator shaft trembled with each attack that hit it and eventually, as Kilayox dodged a scorching first blast and a colossal blast flew into it, these cracks turned into gaping holes. Kilayox turned around just in time to see that the wall was starting to fall. Her eyes widened and suddenly she was hit by a terrible feeling as it all dawned on her. She had been stuck in a canister for over a thousand years. She had only just gotten out and was about to be squashed by rocks. Gritting her teeth, she moved forward in an athletic run, not caring if anyone else got out or alive. I refuse to be trapped again! Never again! She thought fiercely. The Toa hit men also started to run as rocks and rubble flew down as the wall continued to crumble.
  3. IC: [Ga-Koro: Marine HQ] “Oh yes!” The receptionist suddenly exclaimed, jumping a little in her wooden chair which alarmed the group. Firion raised an eyebrow at the woman’s strange behavior and the Ga-Matoran smiled warmly, “New recruits are always appreciated… I assume your friends are interested in joining too?” She asked, her eyes wavering over to Virin’s form, scanning him from head to toe, apparently noticing his impressive height. Her attention was not unnoticed by Virin who stood rigid as a rock, obviously uncomfortable. A nudge in the side of his armor by Firion broke him out of his trance and he took a step forward, coughing. “Yes, I’d be honored to defend the village as a true champion.” He told her, tightening his grip on the golden trident in his hand. The receptionist shivered a little and her eyes intensified. “Well, we always have a place for champions. Well, at least I do.” She told Virin suggestively. “However, if you guys are really interested in joining, I can’t exactly just hand you the badge myself. Normally the recruitment process is done simply by the village leader deputizing someone if they fit the requirements. But since Turaga Nokama is currently dead after being murdered by some Skakdi, the current village leaders will have to do so… Ketan, Leader of the Toa Arete.” She told them. “I’m pretty sure you have heard of him?” Virin gritted his teeth upon hearing that name. “Yes, I’m well acquainted with him…”
  4. IC: [Ga-Koro; Marine HQ] The quartet had been walking sometime before they finally reached the Marine HQ. The trip to the docks had sent them to the edge of Ga-Koro and now they had to go all the way back to the center of the village. Whilst walking, each member of the group had been in their own brisk thoughts. Their thoughts were stirred however when Voutok suddenly spoke up, “Is that the Marine HQ over there?” He asked pointing directly at a large building that Firion and Virin knew too well. The Marine HQ was a proud symbol of the village, a symbol for the protection and hope that the marines of the village inspired. The Marine HQ in truth was a gigantic hut made from mud and leaves, but it was so impressively built that it appeared to be the labor of architectural genius. Soundly construct, leaves covered the tops and sides of the HQ, a single door leading into the building. Firion led the way and the group slid inside the HQ soon after. The inside of the place was a little more furnished then the outside suggested. Long hallways stretched on the sides, leading to other rooms, one of which was a war room for meetings that involved the higher-ups. The bright smile of a receptionist was the first thing that they saw when they walked in. “Hello, Firion. I was beginning to worry that you’d forgotten about me.” She said jokingly. A smirk formed on the short Matoran’s normally plain face and he gave her a little curt nod. “Never.” He said and that caused the receptionist to chuckle a little. She then shook her head and her eyes scanned over to Firion’s company; a tall and noble-looking warrior, an even taller Vortixx being, and a mousy looking De-Matoran. The look on her face made it clear what she was thinking. Who the heck were these guys? “This is Virin, Voutok, and Lenat,” He said respectively. “They’ve become rather friendly in no time and are interested in doing work for the marines. Maybe even joining…” He trailed off, allowing his companions to speak up if they wished to do so now.
  5. IC: Virin raised an eyebrow at the Matoran’s curious nature. He wished to inquire upon it, but for the time being, he simply ignored it. Besides, there were greater problems that needed to be attended too. “It’s probably for the best that we return to the Marine HQ. I’m pretty sure that they would like to see Lenat’s crossbow and we could see if there is anyway to help out around the place.”
  6. I just want to personally apologize for my inactivity in this thread. I've been a little busy, but I'll try and get a post up for Kilayox as soon as possible.
  7. IC: [Casterly Rock – Destro] Destro paused a second for thought. Having the body of an unnamed Toa brought to his home might seem a little suspicious if the local authorities were ever to come by. “The only thing I require is his Kanohi. As for the Ira, he should come willingly. He, like you, received invitation to come to this house. I merely wish for you to act as his chauffeur, bringing him back here safely and intact.” He said with a clever little smirk. “So do we have a deal, Aria?”
  8. What an awful way to start the day. :(I really enjoyed reading her posts...
  9. IC: [Casterly Rock – Destro] The noise of the breaking glass was loud enough that the butler sprang into motion and ran into the room. “Master!” He shouted out but his cries were stifled when Destro simply raised a hand and coolly drank from his glass. He eyed the red stain on his carpet with annoyance like he did with most dirty things. “Save your cries for something more important. Now will you clean that up?” He commanded and the Matoran simply nodded, pulling out his rag from his pocket. He quickly got on his knees and started to wipe up the mess that the assassin had made. Destro’s eyes then went over to the assassin and he stared at her, not moving a single muscle, but making it clear on what he wanted to do. Yes, he was indeed paying her, but she was also trying his patience. The laird had learned the value of waiting though and with one deep breath, he managed to control himself. An unsettling smile then formed on his face, mainly because it was mostly forced. “Oh, to the contraire. You see, the true reason why the murder business is fading is because the competition has only increased. With this island suddenly becoming a beacon for people of all breeds, there are now more assassins on this island then you can count. Finding someone to replace you wouldn’t exactly be hard or tiring.” He told her, stroking his magnificent chin as he did so. “But with my current time constraints, I do need you. You see, I’m afraid that if I don’t act now the person I want you to find will manage to disappear again. He’s a very hard man to find and I finally tracked him down. He’s currently located in Ta-Koro and he goes by the name of Zeno. Toa of Sonics, a nasty sort, murdered an entire criminal organization singlehandedly I heard. We’ve crossed several times, but I’d prefer to stay out of his path which is why I’m having you do it.” Destro tapped his fingers on the table and then he reaches in his pocket to pull out an envelope handing it to Aria. “This note contains an address detailing his current location. It’s a warehouse, on the shady side of town as he prefers it. There is also a second address on it. Another warehouse, not far from the one in which Zeno currently lives. Within it is a Toa of Fire named Ira who has attracted my attention. He is not to be killed, only brought back to this manor. Is that understood?”
  10. IC: [Casterly Rock – Destro] “Ah, yes the job.” Destro said, seemingly having forgotten about it. He led Aria out of the vault and the assassin seemed reluctant to leave the gold. It appeared right now that gold was the only way to win her heart. The two Toa entered another room (the place never seeming to run out of them) and Destro sat down on a couch made out of red leather. He allowed Aria to take a seat as well and then he beckoned towards the Matoran butler who brought the two of them two glasses of red wine that were placed on the table in front of them. “I need an old enemy killed. If I’m impressed, you’ll keep getting jobs and keep getting paid. If I’m not impressed, then you will most likely be dead. Understood?”
  11. IC: [Casterly Rock – Destro] Destro simply nodded, listening to Aria and her price. He truly wasn’t listening, no his mind started to wander off, back to his dreams of conquest and destruction. When she finished her little rapport, his eyes flickered back over to the beautiful assassin. He caught her last sentence and in response, he laughed. It was a deep and resounding laugh, echoing through the mostly empty manor. Once he was finished with his magnificent evil laugh (which he practiced often in his spare time), Destro simply grinned at her, “That was funny,” He stated. “I do love a woman with a sense of humor. Follow me.” He told her, more like commanded since when he looked into her eyes, he made it very clear that she should probably do what he asked. It would be beneficial to both of them. Aria reluctantly followed after Destro and after a few turns, they entered another room. This one was entirely empty. There were no beds, materials, or anything of importance. Besides the giant metal vault that was built into the wall. He gestured towards it and says, “This vault cost me a fortune. Within it contains my personal assets. Normally I don’t show it off, but since you seem to be in question of my wealth… I’ll let you take a peek.” Blocking the view of the combination lock, Destro quickly inputs the code in. He then opened the vault, swinging it loosely to the side. Destro then took a step in and waited for Aria to enter. When she did, she was hit by a majestic sight. Any thought of widgets vanished when she saw the contents of the vault. Gold seemed to outline every inch of the wall and the cold marble floor was no longer visible. Beautiful hills of golden coin had formed, looking like skyscrapers to the assassin. Amongst the gold were diamonds, rubies, and numerous priceless gems. Seeing that he now had her full attention, Destro’s grin grew broader. He loved to show off. “All of this can be yours… as long as you agree to work for me until my plans for you are complete.”
  12. IC: [Kilayox – Olford Mines] The Toa of Fire stalked forward, intense flame gathering in the palm of his hand. The Toa of Water that they’d been ordered to kill apparently wasn’t bright. She was attempted to fight all of them by herself and he intended to take advantage of that. Her back was currently open and he was going to split it open. A whip of flame slowly started to form in his hand and he mentally gave it shape before he prepared to unleash it onto her. A savage grin formed on his face, anticipating the kill. Men like himself did not enter the profession of hired hit man for the money; no they did it for the thrill. He was feeling it right now and it delighted him, the thought of taking this Toa’s life. He raised his fiery whip and he prepared to bring it down, ready for the sensation that followed. But all he got was in arrow in his back. He let out a gasp of air and reached to pull it from his back, but his arms couldn’t reach it. He continued to try though, but to no avail. Eventually he just collapsed and falls over, slamming into the ground. The last thing his eyes saw before blacking out was the tall Toa of Water whose back still remained open. With his last amount of energy, he released the fire whip. The fire whip was doused by a burst of water, pouring out of Kilayox’s hand. She had turned around just in time, for she had heard the arrow and assumed someone was firing it at her. Her eyes looked over to the fallen Toa and then she noticed Ena. Crouched where the others could not see her, but holding her bow and arrow. That’d made sense. The Toa of Fire was not dead; the arrow had hit him in a non-vital. While Kilayox thought Ena should’ve just killed the bloody Toa, she did appreciate the cover that she gave her. Aervak was also proving to be nearly unstoppable, for most of the attacks just bounced off him. Having allies or help was proving quite useful, even though she didn’t need them to win in her mind. The robotic sentry shot out of what appeared to be a spike ball and it slammed directly into one of the Toa, cutting into the sides of his armor. It was then that Aervak found his suit suddenly bending and making sick crunching noises. His eyes fell over to the downed Toa who had stood up on one knee, blood oozing from his mouth. He appeared to be putting a great deal of concentration into the task. He was a Toa of Iron and his eyes were focused on Aervak’s mechanical armor. He intended to tear it apart limb from limb. Kilayox gritted her teeth as she blocked one of the fire blasts with another stream of water, steam showering the entire room as the two Toa went against each other. The other Toa of Fire was aggressively attacking Toa Kilayox, forcing her to stay on her feet. Fire blasts came shooting out of his fists, only becoming stronger with each strike. Kilayox stayed purely on the defensive, a shield of water pouring out in front of her. She nervously looked back at the wall behind her. Then she looked over to Ena, for any signs of assistance, but there was none there. The Toa of Air had decided to attack Ena and her men from the Department of the Security. He did this by creating several small cyclones and then sending them forward, ripping through any kind of coverage that they had and forcing them to fight in the open. “Come out to play!” He yelled to them, wind circling around his fingertips as if the wind was merely a puppet that he controlled. The two Toa and Glatorian now had their own singular enemy to face….
  13. IC: [Mirax – Haven Cove/Toothy Bane] The rebels had won their battle, but Mirax had done nothing to aid them. He had merely observed from his high point. He felt like somewhat of a coward for not aiding them in their battle. It was over now and there was nothing he could do to change the fact that he hadn’t acted. These feelings only worsened when Vinathli suggested that they should try to board the vessel; a boat not far off from the beach. He turned around and looked at her, a dark expression on his face, “We’ve done nothing to help them. I desire my freedom, but all we did was watch. There’s no real honor in that.” He told her, seemingly against the idea. He then started to walk towards the ice slide that he had created. “But I am no longer the warrior I once was. I’m a slave. I don’t have any honor.” He said sadly and then he slid down the ice slide, his feet pushing through the ice that he had created until he was eventually down on the shores of the beach. “Warriors! Do you require anymore assistance?” He shouted out to them, walking over to the spot where a fierce battle had just been taking place. He then looked up at the cave where Vinathli still stood, her eyes scanning below. He then beckoned for her to come down. It was her idea after all.
  14. IC: Fishing Settlement – Devald My nose wrinkled as I entered the cabin and the smell of death punched me dead in the nose. I recognized it as soon as I had smelt it. Death was slowly becoming something that I ran into more on the island as my journey continued. I had started from Ko-Koro and wound up in Ga-Koro of all places. It wasn’t that unimaginable I suppose. Still, the journey had been long and hard. But worth it… Ko-Koro was corrupt and I needed to expose the corruption before it spread. The only way to do that was by gathering evidence which is what I’ve been doing for the past few months. The only reason why I’m in Ga-Koro is because someone told me that the fisherman who’d been living up at the local cabin hadn’t been sending in fish back to the village. While they stayed far away from the village, someone did care about them and they wanted to know if they were safe. Enter me. Devald, Ko-Matoran and detective. You see, I’m an investigator of sorts. While I was mostly concerned with bringing down the corrupt forces of the government on Mata-Nui, I also investigated ‘strange’ happenings on the side and got paid for it. I didn’t really do it for the money, though. It made it easier to pay the bills sure, but I did it for an entirely different reason. You see, most people think I’m pretty darn crazy. Truth is told, I agree with them, just I’m not the kind of crazy they think I am. I believed heavily in myths, legends, and of course, conspiracies. For some reason, ever since I had been born in the cold, icy plains of Ko-Koro, I had been partially obsessed with solving mysteries and discovering the truth. Stuff like this just naturally attracted me for some reason. Maybe I had some kind of sick fetish that I wasn’t aware of. To me, it didn’t matter. I was going to find the truth, whether anyone liked or not. So what was so strange about this case in particular? While it was bad business, a fisherman flaking out on their deals wasn’t exactly unheard of. Most people would just disregard this, but there was something else. You see, people in the settlement close to this could have sworn that they saw… well, a winged Toa flying off into the sunset. Crazy, I know right. So I’d linked the two together which wasn’t exactly that hard to do. They had happened within the same area after all and people were missing. So I knew something sinister was afoot. I just hadn’t prepared myself for this. After I entered the cabin, I had followed the smell to the point where it got stronger and I eventually arrived in the cabin’s living room. A body lay there on the ground, neck snapped it appeared. I walked over to the body, slowly and lowered myself to the ground. While I was pretty certain whatever or whoever had done this had left, I was a bit worried that it might come back eventually. I did not want to be hear when it got back. Mata-Nui himself knew that I had problems dealing with people, but demonic winged creatures and crazed killers. That was even worse. So I merely studied and looked at how the body was placed. It was near a chair and although his body was tense, I could tell that he hadn’t put of much of a fight. Which meant he probably knew the person. So I was looking at fishermen who had gone mad and murdered each other. Not the craziest thing that could have happened. Then as I entered the hallway I knew that wasn’t the case. The bodies of the other two fishermen lay there. There bodies were intact, it’s just their heads weren’t. The Kanohi of the two men had been cracked into so many pieces that they resembled a puzzle. Then the head itself appeared to be nothing but pudding at this point. I reeled back from the body and simply thought of what I knew. So I could finally rule out the ordinary fisherman story. No, Ga-Matoran could have done this. There was something else that I noticed, though. The Matoran’s bodies… there was blood everywhere in the hall, yet at the same time, there bodies did not have any open wounds. Then I noticed the scars. Long scars went down their backs and sides. They appeared to be claw marks of some kind. Yet, they had to have… I cursed and shook my head. This was the work of a Toa and a pretty sick one at that. He had used a Mask of Healing to repair the damage done to the body and then, he’d inflict some more wounds, only to repeat the same action over and over. Hence, the scars on their bodies. It was where the tissue had been repaired, but after a certain point, even the Mask of Healing could not repair the damage. Still there were was one more mystery he had to figure out. Where was the fourth body?
  15. IC: Casterly Rock Knock. Knock. Knock. The loud rapping of an impatient Toa of Iron echoed throughout the empty house that was Casterly Rock. The knocking only continued to increase in loudness and number of times knocked. Eventually the sound reached one of the rooms in the house where the owner of the castle lay in bed. His bed was truly befitting of a king. Seemingly crafted from gold and large enough to fit twelve fully grown men on it, the bed seemed a bit ridiculous for one man to sleep on. That was the nature of Destro, though. Overindulgence and frivolous spending that would make most men jealous, that was Destro Malkai. Tucked away underneath the sheets, the Toa of Stone snoozed away, dreams of conquest and the burning of villages occupying his mind. It was the perfect world and he might’ve never woken up from this sleep if not for the incessant knocking on his front door. Cold blue eyes snapped open, alert and quickly scanning the room for any signs of intruders. When it was clear that he was not about to be assassinating, he quickly rose from his bed and grabbed the cup of water on his nightstand, gulping down its contents and then tossing it to the side. He hurried down the long winding stairs that led to his front door. He had installed a spiral staircase in the house and he now regrets it, for it went on and on until he finally got to the bottom of the steps where his butler, the Matoran he had dispatched earlier to send out the letters stood there. The day started early for him, for he had to prepare the master’s meals and make sure all of his arrangements were met. A beleaguered expression was on his face as Destro came down the stairs. Destro did not care if he was tired or if he had just waken up. So had he. “Who is it?” He snarled. Depending on whoever it was at the door, he was going to either decapitate them or toss them off the cliff’s end. The man had a fickle temper and he did not like being disturbed. “It is Miss Aria, I believe, the assassin you invited to dinner.” He told the Laird calmly. Destro’s eyes widened as he reached the bottom of the stairs and heard the voice of a girl, a woman outside. “Well it’s not dinner. It’s breakfast.” He replied angrily. The butler simply nodded, pretending to agree with his master on this matter. Destro then started to pace as he did when irritated. The assassin was part of his plans, but she had arrived much earlier then he had anticipated. His messages did not include a date, for he figured that everyone ought to arrive at the same predicted time due to the amount of distance. Then he remembered the assassin’s abilities. Oh yes, a mask of quick travel, he thought to himself. That was why you wanted her in the first place. Her ability to teleport is useful for sabotage. Calming himself, he got her nerves under control slowly and then he started to get himself composed, walking slowly towards the front door. It opened and there she stood, quite lovely he might add. The legends of her skill had not told him of her appearance. For a second, Destro’s hungry eyes wavered over her, considering how easy it might be to make her his. Like everything on this island soon would be. Then he smiled warmly and reminded himself. Best not mix business with pleasure. “Ah, Miss Aria, I presume. You are a bit earlier, but it doesn’t matter. Come in, make yourself comfortable.” He told her, beckoning her forward. “It is there that we will discuss my job for you and the price…”
  16. IC: Aria’s House Aria sat in her house, toying with her mask in boredom and staring out the window. For one of the island’s best assassins, this was nothing short of a waste. There were many who would hire her for her particular talents, the price just had to be high enough. The woman was used to living a life of luxury after all, with expensive states in three villages. So if one wanted to hire Aria, they had to be seriously rolling in cash. For that reason, she hadn’t gotten a job in many weeks and months. There were men on the island who although weren’t skilled in the act of killing, could still get the job done, albeit messier, but for a lesser price then what she was demanding. Still, there were some who saw the potential in the assassin. Some who would pay her in fortunes that she couldn’t even imagine. Aria, master assassin, had gotten lucky today. Just as she figured that she’d die in this house out of a lack of interest, something crashes through one of her windows. Her expensive, reflective glass shattered on to the floor of her house and although it surprised her, she had cool nerves. She didn’t shriek, instead she instantly started to prepare a counterattack with her iron elemental powers. Her eyes scanned for a target, the assailant or robber who had dared to break into her home, ready to slit their throat as soon as she found them. However, she would find no greedy Matoran searching for jewels, all she saw was a black bird. Then her eyes narrowed at the thing on her table. It was no bird, it was a bat. With black fur and giant red eyes, the bat stood on her living room table proudly. Rolling her eyes, she prepared to squash the little thing, but then it did something that intrigued her. It dropped a letter from its mouth which rolled off the table and landed on the floor, opening up. Her eyes flickered over to it and back to the table, but when she looked back, the bat was gone, out of the window it had burst through. Intrigued by the letter, the assassin peered over to see what it had scribbled on it and she became even more curious when she could clearly see her own name staring right back at her. Dear Aria, Your abilities have attracted my attention. An assassin with nothing to do is a crying shame, if I say myself. That is why I have a job to offer you. I am aware of your price range and rest assured I have enough money to pay you. If you are in doubt, reach over to the back of this letter and there should be your first payment. The only thing I want you to do is to travel to Po-Wahi and follow the directions on the bottom of the letter. If you follow them correctly, you will arrive at my home, Casterly Rock. Dinner will be served there and we can discuss my plans for you there… Sincerely, Destro Malkai Laird of Casterly Rock
  17. Hey, who would I go see if my PC wanted to join the marines? Since you know, Nokama is dead and Hahli ran away.
  18. Yes, but if Makuta can reign down lightning and transform Toa into Dark Toa, whose to say that he doesn't have control over gender? All joing aside, I do think it would be pretty sweet if their was a twist in Heuani's identity, like if he was another one of the Mata (besides Tahu and Kopaka).
  19. Now what does everyone think about my theory of Heuani being Gali? It would explain why he is so sleek and attractive. And a Felnas was used by a female character in canon, so I think it's possible.
  20. IC: Ta-Koro Guard HQ I had come to a realization. I was slightly less awesome than I had been yesterday. The reason behind this was that I had finally someone who I considered an equal. No, who was I kidding? That guy wasn’t my equal. He was my superior. Maybe once I had been on his level before I had gotten stuck on the wall as some kind of grunt, but now, I had sold out. I wasn’t the heroic rebel that I saw myself as anymore and that saddened me a little. I prided myself on my abilities, my looks, and my charming personality since they made me more unique then the other bland people on the island. Dorian no longer made me feel unique. Staring down at my hands and my feet, I started to walk my head hanging down. I had come to her ask for a raise, but I no longer felt like arguing with Jaller. No, I felt like going back to my rarely used apartment in the village and shining my armor to make myself feel a little better. I said nothing to my fellow guardsman; I just walked by them without even casting a glance. I felt kind of bad since I knew I was those little guys’s hero and all, but who was I kidding? I’m not the super suave heroic figure that I envisioned myself as. The walk back to my apartment was long so I’d have plenty of time to be alone with my depressing thoughts. But then, something hit me as I was exiting the HQ. I thought of that Dorian fellow and how he had nabbed Tuara with ease. It was just the other day when I had thought that all benchmarks had been passed, but no, there was still stuff to do, still stuff to achieve. I hadn’t reached my peak yet. No, I was just getting started. I stopped in my tracks and raised my head. Thank you, Dorian. With all of your tall, dark and handsomeness you had motivated me. You had inspired me to get back out there. To push myself and become the awesome guy I knew myself once to be. Suddenly, I found myself turning back and jogging back to the HQ. The thoughts in my head were simple. If I don’t get that promotion, I’m done with the guard. They’re cramping my style. I thought confidently and I entered the HQ once again. This time though I wasn’t distracted by prison breakouts, no my mission was straight forward. I stormed through the place, pushing aside anyone who got in my way. I felt eyes on me as they wondered where I was going. I myself knew exactly where I was going though. When I reached a door, I suddenly stopped and slammed my fist on the door. “Jaller! It is Toa Amellus! I need to speak to you immediately!” Why did I even announce myself? He would no doubt recognize my voice for this was not the first time I had spoken with Jaller. Besides nearly everyone in the village knew who I was. I was Toa Amellus, slayer of babes and champion of the light. Or at least I was supposed to be. I intended to rectify that little problem right here and now. It took a while for him to open the door and I even considered just melting the door down, but that wouldn’t exactly help me. So I waited and finally the door opened. I looked down to see Jaller, eyes weary and a tired look to him. I shrugged. Boo hoo, Jaller. Managing a village couldn’t be that hard. Once my days of rescuing princesses and defeating Rahkshi were over, I might even consider running for village leader. They’d be crazy not to accept me too, for I’d be an amazing leader. Free booze and women for everyone! “Come in.” He said exhaustingly, beckoning me forward. I rolled my eyes in irritation for I hated how Jaller always treated me like some servant. Just because you were higher then me in rank by like what? Three ranks? I wasn’t quite sure what my rank was and I didn’t really care. I just knew that I was a member of the guard and I’d be if I let some little midget boss me around. I did step in the room though and Jaller walked behind his desk, formerly the Turaga’s desk and took a seat. “Toa Ame… What was it again?” Huh. Why was he playing like that? He knew my name. Everyone did. It was a name that they feared and respected. Or at least it should be. I crossed my arms and glared daggers into his eyes, “Look. I’m not here to play games, boss man. I’m here to discuss my promotion.” Jaller placed his hands under his chin and his eyes seemed to go off to the side for a moment. “Ah yes, Toa Amellus. And according to my memory… you’re a sentry. I don’t see anything wrong with promoting you to-“ “I want to be the Deputy.” “W-what?” Jaller said, stuttering as if I had asked something crazy. I basically did. That was why I put on one of my best grins to show him that I was completely serious or at least that was the intended effect. “That’s right.” I told him, getting closer. “Tuara’s gone and I know you need somebody to replace her. I don’t care about whoever the Captain is. Paperwork is not my style after all.” I then kicked my feet on the desk and lean backed in the chair. “So when I can move my stuff in?” Jaller seemed to be trying to form words to my response and then finally, his eyes narrowed and his form became stiff. “Sorry, Amellus. I’m afraid that your request cannot be granted. While I do appreciate your efforts to the Guard, there are other guardsmen who have already been selected for these positions. Now-“ Yeah, that wasn’t cool. So I cut him off before he could drawl on about some other opportunities which I wouldn’t settle for. “No. I’ll just save you some air. I don’t want anything else besides that job.” I said and then I did something that seemed to surprise him. I ripped the emblem off my side and disrespectfully tossed on the desk in front of him. “You can have my badge.” I then turned on Jaller and let him get a nice view of my backside. He could kiss it for all I cared. My talents could be used somewhere else, where they’d be more respected and appreciated. Hey, I heard Po-Koro was nice and their commander was kind of cute I heard. Stroking my chin, I reached for the door knob but I was surprised when Jaller said something. “I’ve got a quest for you, Toa Amellus. Now it might not be deputy… but it is something that I’m sure will interest you.” Now that’s more like it. I turned around and raised an eyebrow, interesting in hearing what this ‘quest’ was about. Perhaps I would travel to the Makuta’s lair and punch him in his face. That would certainly be fun. Or maybe I’d be sent to battle against a dragon. I started to get excited as I anticipated what it was. I didn’t want to seem too eager, though. So I stifled my joy and simply say, “A quest?” In the best bored tone I could conjure. I wasn’t sure it worked for Jaller smirked, walking out from behind his desk and walked over to me, shutting the door and then turning to me. “Yes, a quest. It’s more like a mission, though. You see the Guard is in somewhat of a predicament. We need men. The attack by that Toa of Ice has left us with only a handful of men. You and your brothers on the wall are the only ones left, along with those who were outside of Ta-Koro at the time of the attack. Now we’ve managed to recruit a few more men, but we are in a desperate need of soldiers. I can’t ask to borrow men from the other villages either. However, there are many heroic Toa wandering around without a purpose.” He explained and as he did, I kind of phased out. I wanted him to get the heroic quest part. So yeah, until he told me what dragon I was slaying and what direction to go in, I would keep staring off into space. “I need you to give them a purpose. I need you to recruit new warriors, fresh blood, and bring them back to Ta-Koro, where they can join the Guard.” Seriously, a recruitment mission? That was all? I mean it was better then being stuck on the wall and playing chess with a bunch of old geezers, but it was hardly a real step up. I was about to walk out of this office like I had planned to do earlier. But then Jaller said the right thing. “If you succeed, you may very well be on the way to a promotion. Maybe even deputy…” He muttered, turning his back on me and going to grab the badge. He then handed to me and says, “I need you, Toa Amellus.” Now that was more like it. In response, a grin formed on my face. The leader of the village was begging me to stay on the guard. Nice. “While the promise of promotion does sound enticing… I take this badge not for the pay raise or the glory. I take it because I love this village.” I said in my cheesiest voice, taking the badge from his hand and slamming it on my shoulder. I then saluted Jaller which looked kind of awkward since he was several feet below me, but I did not care. Truth be told, the only reason why I was even considering this was indeed the job. I deserved it and I finally had my chance to prove it to him. “I will gather my supplies and leave for my quest tomorrow morning.” I told him proudly and quickly as I had entered the room, I left. ----- Jaller sighed, sitting back on to his chair. He was thankful to have Amellus leave his office since he had bigger things to worry about then Amellus’s glory seeking. He was still looking for the honest and capable officers he needed to become Deputy and Captain. Currently, the Guard was technically leaderless. While he offered some guidance, his attention was no longer with them, but the village itself. Still, he needed as many men as he could on the guard. With Tuara quitting, even keeping Amellus on board seemed like a noble effort. It sickened him that he had to appeal to the Toa and sugarcoat him with words of praise, but right now, he had to do what was necessary. Maybe he’d even bring back some capable warriors? Jaller stood up and walked over to the single window that had been placed in the room. He looked out to see Amellus jollily jogging down the street without a single care in the world. Mata-Nui, what had he done?
  21. I'm betting that Heuani is actually Gali.
  22. Personally I hope that the WC defeats Makuta, but as a result, they accidentally release something or make matters worse for the island somehow. Kind of mirroring the whole situation with the Bohrok. I think that would be interesting.
  23. ^ The Cabal does not discriminate! As long as you are dedicated to evil and the suffering of others, then we open our doors and give you a warm embrace. Go ahead and PM me if you have any more questions.
  24. IC: It didn’t take long for Firion, Virin, and Voutok to find the Vortixx for he stood out amongst a crowd of small blue Matoran like a beanpole. He also awkwardly held Firion’s crossbow in his hand and he walked over to them. He stared down at Firon and Voutok, but Virin was nearly his height. Virin smirked as examined the being. “This must be the ‘Vortixx’ that you spoke of.” He guessed, since he had never seen such a being like this before in his times. “The name is Toa Virin, pleasure to meet you.” He told him, extending a hand.
  25. Hmph. No one does true evil like the Cabal of Cruelty. > Which currently consists of only one lonely guy in a castle so I suppose it's not really that impressive.
