If you have a PC that has a processor and graphics card plus some ram and hard drvie space higher than the minimal standard, i highly recommend this game. If you like FPS. But the graphics are just breathtaking, the story is catchy and the game itself very much fun to play because of its open-ness!
So:
That image had forum's URL on it. I fixed it. -Shine
One quick word of advice before I rush over to the bathroom again:
Don't combine Pasta and Tuna with Doughnuts a chicken-sandwich and orange/chocolate-cookies.
*runs off to great the bowl again*
Listen to me kids...
...no, no, not going there ^^ Though I have seen my fair share of spaceships and hundreds of other designs today. The day started relatively early compared to my old job and got interesting immediately as I met my colleague who got hired through the same workshop I attended. We had a camera team at the workshop filming some of us for a documentary on Channel 4 on UK television and apparently they hadn't had enough yet since they accompanied us all the way to the front door at which point they were not allowed to follow anymore. Our respective mentors welcomed us and while I spent half a day with a visitor pass, I now have that little thingy saying I'm an employee. Way cool! =D
I got taken on a tour of the department and saw pretty much everything from City (which is where I work) to Ninjago to Bionicle. Oh the things I have seen and can not talk about. It will keep the frontpage busy for a looooong time ^^ The Bionicle guys heard I was a fan though, so they were super nice and gave me Kopaka, who is now master of ice and my desk until I return tomorrow, along with somebody else I might get to talk about in the future.
I didn't do much designing today yet, it was mostly learning where everything is and getting used to the work environment. I did get to put together some new sets though, which was pretty sweet.
Stayed well after work was over and got to do some free building and hung out with some of the other designers.
Yes, I took the opportunity to go and check out the area of Emeryville and Pixar Studios. I did not get inside (hehe, that'd have been the jackpot) but it was still awesome. For a reason or two...
For one, I saw Doc Hudson...
...and there's this:
That would be a brand-new Aston Martin Vantage (Maybe a Castmember of Cars 2?)
There you are, totally immersed in the movie happening in front of your eyes and then this happens:
*Light goes on, a guy is standing next to the controls*
"Excuse me, everbody!"
*Stops movie*
"But we've got a problem and we have to clear out the whole building."
But everybody got a free ticket to come back another day...
When there is something wrong, when there is trouble, when you have an argument or a problem with a person you really care about, do you notice how all other things suddenly become minor and not as important as that one issue that needs to be resolved?
Today was interesting...especially the frontpage news on the possibility of Bionicle returning sometime in the future. What struck me funny though is the attitude some people have developed on the topic. I get it that some people say the main-story is done and so is the whole thing, I also understand why some want to see it return or continue. (Obviously because it's one of the coolest things Lego has come up with.)
I also can understand why people dislike HF. It's a replacement as far as Lego-action-figures go, but not in story. Personally I think it has some cool aspects.
But one opinion that stood out to me was the one that says those wanting Bionicle to come back are too concerned with a simple toyline and should move on and that Bionicle should in fact not return, ever.
So let me get this straight: You say that the members of a Bionicle fansite are too concerned with Bionicle?
Great job Sherlock! If that is your stand on things why are you still here?
I would go into picking this apart in-depth but It'd get kind of mean and I don't want to rant. So let me make this short:
Different people will have different opinions. It is ok to voice your opinion on something.
Wanting everybody else to share that opinion of yours is not.
And to throw in some extra wisdom:
Bionicle is over now. Get over it.
Bionicle might come back. Get over it.
And once again most of my earbuds except for the water-resistant pair are having issues.
Which sucks if you happen to be a little audiophile like me.
But I am happy one of my best friends recommended a certain pair from ultimate ears to me a few years back. The cables are replaceable and I am not forced to throw away the buds themselves, worth over 150 bucks...that would suck. Big time.
Just voted for a new mayor and his party, went for those who'll do something about that weird CO-gas pipeline this chemical ompany wants to build near here but fails to stick to safety regulations.
AND I had a run-in with a Clint Eastwood lookalik yesterday. Scarypicing eyes oO
So. Who am I? The aeon old question. But Who I am is just a derivative of what, and what I am is an artist here on Bzp! (Btw. V for Vendetta quotes rock!)
And beeing an artist that's what you propbaly know me. Some of my other nicknames include "Cörv", "C-man clueless", "VF", "Veef", "Beef", and generally that pain in the neck with the colour-scheme ruining golden Metru Hau I stole from Lhikan.
And aside from the cool facts that I am/was a lifeguard, a sailor, a diver, swam onle 3 feet away from a sharks nose, touched a seaturtle (Yes you PotC fans, seaturtles. Tied together with hair from my Hobbit-feet!) swam with Dolphins and was on two Safaris in Africa, there are some facts that make me blush.
First of all: There are facts that make me blush.
I am shy and if you ask me to show you my sketchbook while looking over my shoulder you should be prepared for a Gollum-eque chest-clutching "my prescioussss" show. Same goes for asking me to play the trumpet solo in front of an audience. No chance in Karzhani.
Secondly: I can get excited like my old 4-year old self in Legoland Billund and should you ever witness that event, I am a mentally sane person with momentary fits of crazy. For example a new movie coming out or generally the first new Bionicle-set of the year release. Or sometimes randomly for no reason when the sun is shining.
I tend to air-drum along to the rocksongs in my playlist. And I am good at it.
I sometimes hum or sing (quietly) along to them too. I can't really sing, therefore it's more like a mumbling.
I am, in fact, cuddly. Interpret this as you wish. (Fine, just imagine me like JD from scrubs)
My favourite animated movie is Happy Feet and anyone dare say anything against tapdancing penguins is gonna get a breath of fire in their faces. Speaking of which, Finding Nemo, Shrek and Iceage rock too.
I got watery eyes during the ending of The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. And during Forrest Gump. Admittedly I was younger then, but still.
I've got one more:
I like the song "back for good" by Take That. So take that and be quiet.
I am in no way a creep, I am not drunk while typing this, I just wanted to give you all (well, I know nobody bothers to read my entries anyway) something to laugh at.
Today is a kind of sad day.
Actually its a pretty happy day because Carnival started and everybody is going nuts in town.
Nothing personal happened, but something else.
Today there was the very last sale at the store that was pretty much the Center of all shopping in my hometown.
Everything needed was there and 18 years now I bought my Lego there. Or had it bought for my by my parents. In any case, I dropped by there one last time to buy a Lego set for the last time.
It certainly is a pity.
PS: It is snowing. Again. In Febuary. It's such a strang thing. We never had snow in Febuary as long as I can remember!
No, not the Pilgrim movie, that's a close second, I'm talking bout the project us gamedesigners at my college are currently working on
Stay tuned for more info ^^ I'll try to post a collage of all the chara-designs by the start of next week!
HAL is back. Aparrently he did not decide I was risking the Space-mission.
A few days without PC access can really get you to thinking. And I don't mean more time thinking away from the PC, I mean sleep-deprived lying awake asking about the question that results in 42 at 2am and no end in sight.
I got some good results and some mental walls. Also I really lack in socializing in RL atm. Pm, comment or talk to me?
The upside(s) are not bad though: I figured out why some people I know are as awesome as they seem, I watched Season 5 of House over the last 3 days and feel like his nicer younger self by now (Problem?)...oh, and AC: brotherhood collectors edition arrived yesterday :3
Now all that remains is to update HAL to run Win7 and I will be back with full force! Also I decided to update my Blog-design over the next 2 weeks. And I have started drawing a weekly webcomic. Nothing is online so far, but it will be. In time.
When I counted up my demons
Saw there was one for every day
With the good ones on my shoulders
I drove the other ones away
So if you ever feel neglected
And if you think that all is lost
I'll be counting up my demons, yeah
Hoping everything's not lost
When you thought that it was over
You could feel it all around
And everybody's out to get you
Don't you let it drag you down
'Cos if you ever feel neglected
And if you think that all is lost
I'll be counting up my demons, yeah
Hoping everything's not lost
If you ever feel neglected
If you think that all is lost
I'll be counting up my demons, yeah
Hoping everything's not lost
Singing out
Oh, oh, oh, yeah
Oh, oh, yeah
Oh, oh, yeah
Everything's not lost
So come on, yeah
Oh, oh, yeah
Come on, yeah
And everything's not lost
Oh, oh, yeah
Oh, oh, yeah
Oh, oh, yeah
And everything's not lost
Come on, yeah
Oh, oh, yeah
Come on, yeah
Come on, yeah
Oh, oh, yeah
Come on, yeah
And everything's not lost
Sing out, yeah
Oh, oh, yeah
Come on, yeah
And everything's not lost
Come on, yeah
Oh, oh yeah
Sing out, yeah
And everything's not lost
Now I never meant I to do you wrong
that’s what I came here to say
but if I was wrong then im sorry
but don’t let it stand in our way
cause my head just aches when I think of
the things I shouldn’t have done
but life is for living we all know
and I don’t want to live it alone
sing ah, ah, ah
sing ah, ah, ah
and you sing ah, ah, ah
