  1. IC: Pae Ko-Koro Gates Pae became slightly uncomfortable watching Jin kiss a guard.
  2. IC: Pae - Ko-Koro Gates Pae continued watching Jin and Nika's attempt to enter the city. He was out of ear-shot next in line, so unfortunately, he couldn't gauge their current attempts. IC: Agrona - Ko-Koro - The Citadel As Echelon greeted the Piraka, I gestured to Toros silently, signing with my hands 'Toros, take the body to my lab. To the basement. Return again.'.
  3. IC: Agrona - Ko-Koro - The Citadel I watched as Echelon sheathed the flamberge, "What did you-" I stopped myself, suddenly remembering that Xxeth was here with us. I slowly turned to Xxeth, "You." I pointed, "Wait outside."
  4. IC: Agrona - Ko-Koro - The Citadel "He would make a better study than a decoration," I said, "If I can't reverse engineer the effects, I can still open him up on a table," I stepped next to Kohra, "If this... thing. Has properties at all similar to antidermis or is derived from it, I might be able to learn something." I traced the roots protruding out of my wrist, before looking at my companions, chiefest being Kohra, "I'd rather have patients I understand than patients I don't. If it means saving your lives anyways."
  5. OOC: Pae from out-of-region IC: Pae - Ko-Koro Pae's stop was in Le-Koro. There he picked up a number of things. He got rid of his old cloak, and traded it for much warmer winter-gear. Padded, layered, yet light enough to move quickly in it, the coat should serve him well in the village of ice. Pae also decided to pick up a cane in Le. All the way here, he did not run as he usually did. He practiced limping, and using the wooden stick to keep him upright - and he did this almost the whole way. As for his face, he wore a bandanna, and snow goggles to protect him from the icy winds and curious eyes of the village's most dangerous. Pae tucked the bandanna further up his face, the hood hardly shielding his head from the wind. While he spent his walking time practicing to limp, he spent his resting time doing something else. Pae had spent a lot of time thinking about what he was up against. He had been creating needles. He then filed them down to be thinner and thinner, until with the slightest pressure one could snap it in two. Pae had close to 40 needles by the time he reached Ko-Koro. They could come in handy - though he hoped they wouldn't ever need to be. Yet, this was dangerous territory. Even the guards could be the reason he died today. Pae queued up, waiting his turn to enter the village.
  6. i have been very busy i am sorry i will be back soon
  7. IC: Pae - Ta-Koro - Abandoned Warehouse Pae didn't go back to sleep. Instead, after a few quiet moments, he made his way outside again. On the outside, nothing about him had changed - minus some slight puff in his eyes - but inside Pae was quivering. For somebody who focused so heavily on self-control, when things as irrational as dreams could penetrate his focus or stability, it only made him feel weak. In his mind Pae knew that it meant nothing. Dreams rarely held significance. But that didn't make the fear he experienced insignificant. He gave his head a little shake as the now cloaked Pae exited the alleyway. Inside his soul, his fists shook and his body quaked, but his body glided through the village streets.
  8. IC: Cloak? On body. Daggers? In belt. Rifle? Over shoulder, probably armed. Nika watched as his fellow Vortixx departed, his lazy gaze shifting from her form to his Toa companion. A moment of silence followed, whereupon he reached out for Pae - then jerked his hand back slightly - then patted the massive figure twice on the arm. "Good luck, Pae," the Vortixx said, turning to the door. "See you in Ko-Koro. Try not to ... die, or anything." And with that, he was gone. OOC: Nika out of region. -Void IC: Pae - Ta-Koro - Abandoned Warehouse Pae said nothing as Nika left. He stood silently after the door closed shut; much longer than he usually would. Minutes passed before he gave a sharp intake of breath. There was a lot to think about. But there would be time enough for that later. Right now, the priority was to rest. There hadn't been much of that for days now. Rather, there hadn't been much of that for a life-time. Always running, always planning, never stopping. Pae - if he weren't so disciplined - might have sighed as he lowered himself down into the shadows, and wedging himself into a darker network of crates. He closed his eyes, and almost immediately fell fast asleep. * * * * * What seemed to be instantly, Pae began to dream. He stood in a featureless room without walls. With an attempt to move, he was greeted with a pair of hands on his shoulders. Their grip was hard and cold and they felt bony. Before he could react, they slid up his shoulders and around his neck. He reached up in a panic to pry the hands free but found no lodging in their squeezing form. He open his mouth to gasp for air instinctively, but instead, salt-water fell from his mouth, splashing onto the floor and running down his chin and chest. Pae began kicking wildly. That was when the whispers began. Pae writhed in the grasp of his killer, and when he kicked his head back he saw the face of Echelon, clad in black and smiling something sinister. Pae tried to reach above his head to grab Echelon's face - maybe force his fingers into the madman's eyes - but found no lodging as the dark toa simply moved his head and neck away. With every choking sound, Pae seemed to spit out water. He felt as if he was fading away, but just before everything went dark, he felt Echelon bend forward and kiss him. Pae then reached for Echelon's throat, but before he could squeeze the life from the man kissing him, the whispers turned to shrieks. It felt as if the screams were rattling his skull, pounding his ear drums until they shook themselves apart, felt by every fiber of his being. And as quickly as the voices escalated, multiple hands began to claw at him from every direction, peeling back his skin, dripping blood onto the ground. With Echelon now vanished Pae tried to enter the fetal position and cover his ears, but every time he reached for them, the same hands ripped his palms back down. "N- * no!" he let out. But the voices only seemed to grow in volume and intensity. Bony hands grabbed his legs and pulled them away from his chest. Pae let out a grunt as he tried desperately to close himself off once more, "Don't!" Fingers jabbed below his sternum, and Pae tried to call out, but once more when he opened his mouth he expelled sea-water. The fingers began to press harder and harder. The cacophony of voices began to grow again; this time groans of pleasure accompanied them. Just before he felt the hands enter his stomach cavity, he saw Angelus reaching out to join the murderous claws, a serious look on his face. * * * * * Pae awoke with a very sharp breath and a hard jolt; his legs slamming against the warehouse wall they were positioned against. Sweat was dripping down his face and staining his armpits. His mouth tasted of acid, as if his unfed body had thrown up in the middle of his feverish dream. Of course he couldn't get any rest either. The dream felt like an eternity, but with a glance to windows across the way the sun had hardly moved. It must have only been minutes. Pae leaned against the crates again to let his breathing rate fall back to normal. He hung his head and put his face into his open hands, and in them, Pae began to cry silently.
  9. IC: Pae - Ta-Koro - Abandoned Warehouse "Fair," he said, looking to his companions, "I suggest we enter separately but under disguise. Being recognized could mean death." Pae turned around, "Thoughts?"
  10. Nightfall To Ko-Koro Complete with a TL;DR.
  11. IC: Agrona - Ko-Koro I stepped outside the Sanctum doors. When they toa of iron appeared, Kohra had blown them apart, but now they were under repair. No sense letting just anybody walk into our meetings or to poke their noses around. Maintaining chaos in a preferred order was a balancing act. The Sanctum was certainly a matter of restraining and controlling. The streets on the other hand were a slightly different beast. I was quickly reminded of how I hated the cold. I found myself wishing we had taken over somewhere nicer like Ga-Koro or Le-Koro. The instability of Ko-Koro made it too appetizing a target however, and of course Echelon opted for the tower of ice - with next to no sunlight which I needed to maintain optimal performance as Nightfall's medic. I would be the first to admit I (and my insect horde which breeds upon my skin) were certainly at some sort of disadvantage here in this climate. My team should make up for it however. Talk about a balancing act. Maintaining the proper dynamics of Nightfall was a whole other game. One I was happy to let Echelon play instead of myself. While standing above the steps, I opened my arms wide and said, "To the new inhabitants of Ko-Koro! Echelon and his Nightfall bring you news!" I gestured to myself while people began to gather at my feet. Echelon might have been the dramatic, but I was not one to shy away from the attention I was now basking in,"For too long we have been shut out from Mata-Nui and her people! They look upon you and I like rejects or rogues!" I point out over the homes and gates of the village; to the outside world, "But we see your potential!" My companions began to join me, Ambages no longer in tow behind us, "We know what it means to be cast aside. Mata-Nui doesn't want us! They think we're dogs!" My voice becomes shrill on 'dogs' for a moment, but returns to the melodious tone I usually speak with, "But we know you are more than a whipping boy! You are the most resilient and resourceful in all the island! And that a is fact which we intend to make known." "When we took Ko-Koro, we were unsure of her riches," I said, noticing a sudden perk of interest from the listeners below, "We have finished counting, and noticed that the vaults contain far more than we could ever need," I gesture to the sides of the street as carriages slow into position, "And so, we have decided to give to you - the blasphemes of the world - in hopes that you may rise above your lesser brethren of Mata-Nui!" I gave a curtsy, "As many of you have given half your lives for us, we will give you half the vault's riches!" People began crowding the carts as our men and women were tossing bags of widgets into the people. I placed both hands behind my back and gave a look of warning, "Spend it wisely my friends, as the abusing powerful of Mata-Nui would quickly take it back from you in a heartbeat to further their own causes." And with a final raise of my hands I yell, "Be prosperous!" and everybody quickly swarms the carts. About to turn around, I pretended to remember something, "One more thing!" my tone darkens, "If any here are harboring plots or plotters against the stability of this Koro, an example of you will be made, most likely with Karnakie's axe passing through your throat," Those who have received their prizes are watching me intently again, "However, bring to us said schemers and you will be handsomely rewarded," I pause one last time, "There is more than money in those banks." With my duty done, I begin walking down the steps and away from the Citadel. OOC: TL;DR: The Nightfall has given half their earnings from Ko-Koro's money-vaults to the new inhabitants of Ko-Koro, and offered rewards for those who prevent trouble from befalling the village or Nightfall Agrona (and Toros in tow) open for interaction.
  12. IC: Pae - Ta-Koro Abandoned Warehouse "Echelon will kill any of us if we are recognized by him or his team," Pae said, "We must be careful."
  13. IC: Akiri Kongu - Onu-Koro Kongu took a deep breath and let out a small sigh, "With the aural system, I won't be able to fly in many Forcemen." He scratched his head and looked at the Maru present, "What do you suspect about the hostages? Where they might be kept?"
  14. IC: Akiri Kongu - Onu-Koro - Nuparu's Office "Cargo-fliers. If you can keep the criminals and Nightfall away from our hostages, we could move them quickly," he rubbed his chin thoughtfully, "It would be a big risk though." He looked to Nuparu, "Brother, would Onu-Koro be able to dig underneath the city?"
  15. IC: Akiri Kongu - Onu-Koro "You know where they might be?" Kongu looked at Korero, "How do you plan on moving them?"
  16. op is gone post skeleton trumpet
  17. IC: Motini - Po-Koro Streets "Probly don't play in tune anymore does it," Motini's eyebrows did a little 'hop', "But yeah you lot better get goin'," she said with indifference, "Those Rahkshi ain' gonna sing themselves to death."
  18. IC: Motini - Po-Koro Streets Mot gave a little scoff and looked at Volin, "Ain' doin' real good so far on that one are you budd'?" she took a drag on her cigarette and made no effort to make sure the smoke blew away from Volin before looking at Oceanna, "I might say pick up a real weapon though. Only damage a guitar ever did was to the child of the musician in lack of coin, social respect, and potential. So unless you' plannin' on poorly motherin' this Rahk-shocks to death, maybe grab an axe or sword."
  19. IC: Pae - Ta-Koro - Abandoned Warehouse Pae said nothing in response to Nika. "So we move on. Who do we go to?" He eyed Jin carefully, "To get us closer to Aurelia. Not to kill."
  20. IC: Pae - Ta-Koro - Abandoned Warehouse Pae was quiet as usual. He looked up at the two vortixx, "I trust neither more." "Nika."
  21. IC: Motini - Po-Koro Streets "You people are crazy. Not an if, and, or bum about it," she looked at the group before her, "There's no good-will for anybody in killing Makuta-spawn. Or money. Just what you all plannin on accomplishing?"
  22. IC: Pae - Ta-Koro - Abandoned Warehouse Pae was sullen but he looked at Nika, "I have doubts." He looked back down at his hands, "I don't think I'm here for my promise."
  23. IC: Motini - Po-Koro Streets Holy . Who are these people? "Holy . Who are you people?" She took a drag on her cigarette as she hastily shoved widgets into her pocket. With her other hand, Mot reached for a sealed hand-wipe, "You' tellin' me you' going to fight Rahkshi? With a guitar?" She blew smoke off to the side and opened one sanitation wipe, "And on top of tha', you don' know where to even find the buggers?" Mot wiped her hands, "Look, if you guys are just gonna throw your live' away like tha', I'll be happy to take all your cash."
  24. OOC: Mobile. No formatting. Fixed. IC: Motini - Po-Koro Streets Mot lit herself another cigarette and said, after taking a quick breath, "######. You guys hunt Rahkshi?"
