  1. IC: Pae - Ko-Koro - Abandoned Home Pae said nothing, and instead moved to sit against the wall, his head leaning up on a broken book-shelf. Through half-closed eyes, Pae looked at Jin sitting in her chair one last time before letting his exhausted body fall into slumber almost immediately, with one hand on a single hammer.
  2. i prefer to just fail all of my exams ok but really same goes for me
  3. IC: Pae - Ko-Koro - Abandoned Home "Rest for now?" Pae asked, looking to his comrades. The trip was long, and Pae himself was more than happy to get some rest.
  4. IC: Pae - Ko-Koro - Abandoned Home Pae was a little nervous knowing that chipping off members of Nightfall was only an effort to attract the attention of certain mercenaries, "Fallout," Pae said simply, "Echelon's team will be attention-grabbing," and be good for the city in all likelihood. "Though dangerous." Pae briefly regarded the safety of the island. Echelon was a threat to a lot of people. But so were any Akiri or being of power. However, his thoughts lingered on Kino longer. They fled Echelon together once before, and now they both would likely live in danger for a long time. Swearing lives to a dark god and turning your back on him wasn't the best move the pair had made, though it certainly was necessary. Should he get more involved again? Should he face Echelon from the shadows? What will happen to he and Kino? Or was this for the welfare of the island? Did Xa-Koro deserve to burn? Did Ko-Koro now deserve that same fate? Of course, there would be no answer to these big questions. The choice was there to make, implications or not. "Is the sniper our decision?" IC: Agrona - Ko-Koro - The Citadel So he came to demand we turn-over the city's former citizens? If I had not held my composure I would have snorted at Oreius' comment about threats, considering the irony. But now was not the time to puff up my chest. There had been enough of that already today. I did however, begin to wonder where the other Maru were. It was possible - likely in fact since it was something we might do - that Oreius was just a diversion. Had his band of toa discovered the location of their hostages? I relaxed my muscles, noticing how tense I had become just thinking about it. Toros stepped up beside me and showed his weapons. With one hand I reached into my cloak for a small vial, and with the other I reached for my bone-knife. However, I did not bring either of these forward. No sense in spoiling anything for Oreius. I glanced at Toros, wondering to myself how he felt about all this but my attention quickly returned to the task at hand. My song echoed off the walls of the Citadel exciting the insect swarm all over my body. I awaited some kind of signal from Eisen.
  5. IC: Agrona - Ko-Koro - The Citadel I nodded to Toros, and said, "Good, Toros. Thank you." With another tightening of my cloak, I noticed something. The hallway was not nearly as cold as it was before, and the closer I got to the entrance of the Citadel, the warmer it was getting. What was Eisen and those fools doing now? I picked up my pace, happy for the warmth, but not as excited to find out what was causing it. I quickly absolved to spit in that fire Piraka's face before I punched his teeth in if he was melting our fortress. Coming around the corner, I saw Vezok and Hakann standing, poised and ready with their Rahkshi. But there was a tension that sat in the heating air which wasn't coming from the Piraka. I looked past them to see Oreius Maru standing at our front door, Eisen calmly before him. I grit my teeth and signed to Toros curtly and with some urgency, 'Fetch the others.' As Toros turned to get Rorg and Karnakie, I hissed into Hakann's ear, "You're aiming a heat based weapon at a Maru of fire," then I slipped between them, my feet patting the light layer of pooling water on the floor, "For your talk of strategy, I'm not sure if you're making the best choice, Piraka." I stopped between the Piraka and Eisen humming ever so softly, watching my comrade, awaiting his judgement.

  8. IC: Pae - Ko-Koro - Abandoned Hut "Who's our target?" Pae asked simply. IC: Agrona - Ko-Koro - The Citadel After the two Piraka left, I let out a sigh. "Their pretentiousness will cause me to take my own life before any Maru kills me," I said through a half-closed mouth. With a small shaking of my head, I stepped away from Karnakie and Rorg, "Now to inspect Ambages' corpse before he freezes over in this icy ######." I wrapped my cloak more tightly around my body, musing a little over the idea of taking Le-Koro or even Po-Koro instead of Ko-Koro.
  9. IC: Pae - Ko-Koro - Abandoned Home Pae nodded, "Fair," he said, eyeing Jin specifically, "Be wary of previous... associations. We can't help if we're dead."
  10. Tuara Drigton Family Favors the plot thickens B)
  11. IC: Tuara Drigton - Ta-Koro Streets Tuara spun the whiskey in her glass around in a circle, watching the cold-hot liquid twirl and splash about. "Hey, Drigton," the bartender asked, "You doing OK?" Tuara looked up, and with some ice in her voice responded, "I haven't been drinking already if that's what you're asking." "No. I'm not," he said uncomfortably, "You just look a little tired." Tuara took a sip and glared at the man behind the bar, "You might have been friends with Shaddix, but that doesn't make you friends with me." The bartender crossed his arms, "What? You don't think I know you?" "No. You don't." * * * * * Kitea Drigton was meekly sitting in front of his sister as she gathered her things when he said, "I don't blame you if you don't want to do this," he rubbed the back of his neck, "I haven't exactly deserved it. You have every right-" "Just stay here," she said with the note from the front door in her mouth, "I'll take care of it." Kitea hung his head, "I'm sorry, Tuara." Tuara snatched the note out of her mouth and placed it in her pocket. The toa of fire tugged the cloak closer around her body. Tuara stuffed the bags under the thin jacket and pulled it tighter still. With some somber deliberation, Tuara moved towards the door and pushed it open. * * * * * Tuara took one last swig of whiskey before not-so-nicely placing the glass back on the wooden counter, "Put it on my tab," The bartender scowled, but Tuara got up and pushed away from the bar-stool, "I'll be back tomorrow." * * * * * "You need me to do what?" Tuara hissed through her teeth. "Sh-sh! N-not so loud!" Kitea pleaded, stuttering a little, "I know it's not fair for me to... appear and ask things like this." "Yeah, it really isn't, Kitea," she responded, trying not to yell, "It's pretty ##### awful actually." * * * * * Tuara, half drunk, stumbled a little before turning the corner down the street, Angelus' guard-house in view. She made her way over, and with a little less finesse then usual, she pushed open the door, and with a few short steps, leaned over the front desk. * * * * * Tuara crouched down beside the slumped over toa, and looked nervously over her shoulder, further down the alleyway. * * * * * "I need to speak with Angelus," Tuara said, with one hand planted firmly on the desk. "Of course Ms. Drigton," the clerk responded, "You'll find him inside." * * * * * Tuara threw up next to the dumpster, leaning against it with one hand. "I'm going to need a drink." * * * * * "Please," Kitea hissed back, "I'm in trouble." * * * * * Tuara rapped on Angelus' door, and pushed it open.
  12. IC: Pae - Ko-Koro "Yes." Pae said, somehow more curt than usual. Being inside sounded much more pleasant. The trio stepped back into the small village home, but Pae did not remove any portion of his winter-wear. Instead, the toa if iron tried to wrap up his cloak even more tightly, "Plan?" he asked.
  13. IC: Pae - Ko-Koro "Yes," Pae added, "May I accompany you two? Newcomers helping newcomers."
  14. That's if none of us gets mugged and left to die in a ditch. But hey, what's the worst that could happen? If I'm still stuck with you chumps after five years, I might want to get mugged. <3
  15. IC: Pae - Ko-Koro Pae spotted his compatriots, stepping outside a run-down hut into the village. He walked over to them and spoke, "Saw you at the gate," Pae began, "Why come to Ko-Koro?"
  16. Hi everybody, until the 25th I will be far away from my home. I'll likely have next to no internet access, so don't expect anything from me until then please! Thanks <3
  17. IC: Pae - Ko-Koro Pae tugged his cloak closer around his body, showing no signs of relief as he entered the village. Last time he was here, he had openly tricked Echelon and his associates before fleeing with the known military leader of Ko-Koro. Pae wasn't nervous, but he wasn't interested in staying out in the streets too long, despite his disguise. He adjusted the snow-goggles over his eyes and began scanning the village trying to answer a question he probably shouldn't need to. Where did Jin and Nika go?
  18. Tuara Drigton That's All I Guess
  19. OOC: Tuara from out of region IC: Tuara Drigton - Ta-Koro Tuara was stopped just outside the flat when she noticed something off about the front door. First, because there was a letter on the door. Second, because it was a new door. She picked off the paper, and began reading it with a furrowed brow. 'Replaced your door.' Tuara's brow managed to furrow further, and she asked to nobody in particular "Why? What was wrong with it?". She turned the door-knob and stepped inside. The house felt completely alien to her. At first, she figured it was because she had been away for so long, but then she realized it was probably because the piano was destroyed, and the flat was generally unkempt. "What happened here?" Tuara asked - again - to nobody in particular. This time however, there was a response coming round the way into the kitchen. And with a quick turn of the head, Tuara saw the man the voice belonged to. "There was a fight here. I guess your boyfriend-" Tuara wasted no time launching herself into the stranger and winding him upon impact. They slammed down onto the ground together, and Tuara clambered over the mysterious man with a fist raised threateningly - her mask of strength glowing hotly. With anger on her face and his collar in her hand, Tuara demanded, "Who the ##### are you?" "Ooohh oohh oh oh oh my bahh-ckk-" She slammed him into the floor again, "OHhHh OK! OK! Mata-Nui! Give me a second to breathe-" "You have a second to talk, not to rest. Who are you and why are you in my house?" Tuara threatened, her fist shaking, “Answer me! Now!” “I’m your brother!” Tuara’s face dropped for split second before she hissed through closed teeth, “Kitea is dead.” “No! He- well I’m not!” Kitea said, still sweating under the grip of his younger sister, “They never found my body d-did they?” Tuara wanted to smash his face into the kitchen floor, “Anybody could have read those files.” “You and I used t-to try and skip rocks on the lava flow!” “Kitea wasn’t the only one who knew that.” “Y-you used to have nightmares! You used to come into my room at night and wake me up!” Tuara said nothing. “You used to say that you wanted to make sure the things you dreamed about weren’t real,” Kitea started to speak more softly, “You wouldn’t go back to sleep until I proved it to you.” Tuara looked into the toa’s eyes, searching for something. A hint, a clue, anything. Whatever it took to prove that this wasn’t the dream. Kitea’s eyes - and the stranger’s - were both yellow, but there was something different about the pair Tuara was currently scanning, “Your eyes look much more tired than I remember.” Kitea paused for a moment, but said, “So do yours.” Tuara waited a moment, then let go. Kitea’s head hit the kitchen floor again, “Ouch!” he said before sitting up, “You’re not any more tactful than I remember.” he said, rubbing the back of his head. Tuara stepped back, hands still in fists, “That’s all you can say?” Her closed hands began to shake, then her shoulders too. There was no way this was possible. Tuara had to be hallucinating. She had mourned her parents and brother for centuries. It took years of pain and anger to forget about it all. Was that just a nightmare? Tuara dropped to her knees, and with her face in her hands, began to cry.
  20. IC: Agrona - Ko-Koro - The Citadel This time, I rolled my eyes. I quickly turned my attention to the blue one, much more interested in spurring him on since he clearly was less concerned about writing a book with his words, and solving the problem. I wanted to make a comment to Eisen that I had in fact tried to steer the conversation to the topic at hand, but was afraid it would get Karnakie or the red one talking again. It would probably trigger another cascade of words, this time large enough to wash us all out the Citadel and into the city streets. "Yes," I began, much warmer than before, "What is your plan?" I gestured to Vezok, "Please, share."
  21. IC: Agrona - Ko-Koro - The Citadel My voice, normal a melodic warm tone, was rather flat when I added my voice to the discussion, "Oh Piraka," I began, "Ta-Koro says more about you than Ko-Koro says about us. If failing to kill the Maru - something your band has also done - makes us failures; at least we are failures with something to show for it." I gestured to the grand Citadel walls, covered in sacred prophecy, decried by the blood of its previous inhabitants. "Your talk is great, but until you share how we solve our great majestic mistake of incredible magnitude, you're wasting time we could spend doing it ourselves."
  22. IC: Pae - Ko-Koro Gates Pae did not hesitate in answering, very simply "Karakah. I'm told this is the place to be for people like me." He hoped it would suffice. But of course, Pae was never much of a talker. This was the sort of thing Jin could do. He felt naked in the ice-cold air, despite being bundled up in many warm layers.
  23. IC: Pae - Ko-Koro Gates Pae was next in line, and stepped up. He gave a look at the dazed brick-faced one before turning his attention properly forward, "I'm here to find work too," he looked further up the gate, speaking of the Skakdi who just entered before him, "Just not as loudly as he."
  24. IC: Agrona - Ko-Koro - The Citadel I avoided rolling my eyes.
  25. Since my life is insane, please let me know if you need/want a post from me anywhere via PM or Skype! Thanks guys <3
