The only thing I know of Smaug is he's a dragon and he did an interview with Colbert and it was amazing.

I was sad and excited and a whole bunch of other emotions. I'm frankly amazed at how the quality of the show has skyrocketed from the first season. They've just been on an upward trajectory and I hope it stays that way (and then they end, because no one wants to see it go downhill. Like Dexter.)

Not sure why, or what I'm gonna do with it, but it was only effectively 2 bucks.

This is in Prague, though not the US, so maybe things are different. It's also a museum so maybe they had a bunch of extra stuff?

This was the first Hero Factory set.. heck, even the first Lego set I've bought in years, so I wasn't too picky. Everything I knew about the sets came from pictures online, and there the pieces looked big and clunky and made for an overall simpler look, but they're actually pretty versatile with a bunch of connection points and uses that I couldn't have even imagined so that was a pleasant surprise.
I was looking for something to help me "transition" to the new Bionicle sets because the last set I got was Mata Nui and I think and a lot has changed since then. Now I just want a couple (or one) more (not necessarily Hero Factory) sets just to satisfy that building urge and to tide me over till next year because I probably won't be able to get my hands on the Bionicle sets for a month or more after they come out...
But thanks for the advice! I'll keep an eye out for Furno Jet Machine, but I think I'll pass on the Flea Machine because recent experiences make me wary of anything bug related. Any recommendations on the villain sets? They seem way simpler to build, but I could be wrong again.

Ok cool, I'm gonna give it a few more hours and then write all your names on bits of paper and pick one at random.

I'm trying to do this thing where I buy two cheeses and try them together and see which one is better. It's a tournament style thing; the best cheese advances to the next round. I paired gouda with eidam/edam and eidam won out.
It's a great way to put on a few extra pounds lol but it feels so goood

@Rez: Ya, I'm just glad that stupid sidebar is mostly gone. So much easier to navigate and also easier on the eyes.
@Vorahk: Doesn't look like it, but it definitely feels more streamlined if that helps.

WHAT
Two steps forward, one step back I guess. Until then I'm just gonna keep "Play Next"ing.

Close, it's a giant pizza pillow.

I think the biggest problems I have are 1 and 2, but really mostly 2. I have to get over the "if it doesn't look good then I suck and I should stop drawing why bother" thought process, but it's really hard lol.

One thing I'll never get used to is the eye-less smileys. )

Those just seem like the other extreme end of the spectrum.

Ok I tried some suggestions from here, mainly paprika (and salt) coz that's what I had on hand. Though I may have accidentally added in a little more than I would have liked. The food most definitely was not bland. Oh well, I guess I'll keep experimenting with amounts and different spices. I'll definitely check out the curry powder and stuff.
-
Some spices I really like include curry powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic, and ginger. Might want to make sure your kitchen is well-ventilated if you're cooking with a lot of spices, though. The smell can get pretty overpowering.
Curry powder is a spice that can work with rice, meat, and veggies alike. Look for recipes!
Cool, thanks for the advice! Just a quick question- on average, how many cloves of garlic do you use? I can never get the flavour to stick, yanno?

Fire drills are annoying enough as it is, don't need to add an actual fire to the mix D:
-
Hm ok. Also do you add onions to everything? Because one time I had an omelet without onions and then I had one with onions and the difference in taste was ridiculous.
-
The closest I've come to having rice/meat/veggies not taste like rice/meat/veggies is drowning it in Worcestershire (?) sauce and soy sauce etc. and even that didn't make much of a difference.
So you guys are saying dry/ground spices are better when it comes to seasoning? I'll give it a shot.
