  1. Today we bring you another Hero Factory summer wave set review. This time, Gatanui looks at 6283 Voltix, an electric and multi-colored villain. Should you add him to your collection or just buy the purple parts elsewhere? You'll have to read on to find out!View the full article
  2. A street artist going by the name Megx has created a Lego bridge with an area of 250 square meters in Wuppertal, Gemany. The bridge is so sturdy it can hold up constant heavy traffic under varied weather conditions and that's exactly what it's being used for. Oh yeah, unfortunately it's not made of the actual plastic, as neat as that would be. But he's done an awesome job painting the underside to give the illusion of being made from larger-than-life bricks. If you live in or around the area, why not go give it a look?View the full article
  3. The Hollywood Reporter has an exclusive look at some of the offerings from LEGO at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con. These come in the form of six of the minifigures from the upcoming Hobbit sets, namely Gandalf, Dwalin, Bombur, Bofur, Bilbo, and Balin. Look at those beards and hats! Is it December yet?View the full article

Additionally, for those in the US, you can find discounts on the older Hero Factory sets on LEGO.comView the full article

Sound like fun? Well, give it a play and decide for yourself!View the full article

  9. In our never-ending quest to take our time in posting event coverage, today we bring you pictures of the fabulous MOCs on display at Bricks Cascade 2012. 10. Sam Johnson wrote to The LEGO Group when he was just 8, and now, at age 23, he has scored a job with them. Johnson completed his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors at the University of Derby using Lego in his final-year project. This caught the eye of some bosses at Lego who were attending the New Designer's Exhibition in London, and shortly there after, Johnson was hired. View the full article

Enjoy the barbecues, fireworks, parades, and other festivities - just be careful and don't burn your house down with that sparkler! And of course remember what it is we celebrate today - our founding fathers securing for us the rights and freedom we've enjoyed for the past 236 years. Have fun!View the full article

  14. The UK's New Media Age Award, for those of you who aren't aware, is an annual event created to celebrate the best of interactive media projects and to give recognition to those that deserve it. It's a highly prestigious event and I shouldn't have to tell you that getting an award there is quite an achievement. With that in mind, direct your attention to pages 6-7 of the portfolio of winners here, where Hero Factory: Breakout has netted the Grand Prix award! What this really means I'll leave to speculation because they seem intent on not revealing any specific details about what the award is or how to win it.View the full article
  15. The votes are in, the various tiers of polls have been opened and closed, the top 12 stories of the 279 submitted have been skimmed off. Check out the Bionicle and COT winners, read the stories, and congratulate the victors. It was a wild ride, and I think everyone, contest hosts and writers a like, had a good time and learned a lot from it.View the full article

  21. Now here's an interesting one: In honor of the 50th Anniversary of LEGO in Australia and New Zealand, Google and LEGO have recently launched a fascinating little program called Build With Chrome. Users can claim a plot of land on the Australian and New Zealand map where they can construct their own LEGO landmarks using their web browser. Google Chrome is recommended; however, it appears that Mozilla Firefox also works well. Interested? Well, you'd better hurry then, before all the good real-estate is gone!View the full article

  23. BZPower prides itself in overtaking the Bionicle display at any LEGO convention, but with BrickFair being the country's largest means for AFOLs to congregate and show off, we count on you, the members to help us make it memorable as we unforgivingly show just what the Lincoln Logs of LEGO themes can do. How? By mailing your MOCs to stand with the best and brightest creations of BrickFair 2012. Everything you need to know follows.View the full article

  25. The persistent Gatanui has made a startling discovery; the summer wave of Hero Factory sets can now be ordered online here. Of course, there are some limitations: namely, they're only available in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. While this still leaves a lot of us empty-handed, it gives us hope that the sets will reach local store shelves soon. And then, Stormer will come and save the day, because that's what Heroes do!View the full article
