  1. IC: Vrana He paused for a moment, wondering how they had already walked such a vast distance. Certainly, it was slowing than flying, but perhaps he could deal with it until he learned to fly once more. OOC; Vrana to Le-Wahi.
  2. Rank 52 in Monster Hunter, made a sword out of Dire Miralis. Now to motivate myself to take on the highest level of quests.

  3. IC: Brekan "No, I don't." She replied with a bit of confusion. "I've never ready anything about adventurers, I just go out and try to find stuff that's hidden or just hard to get to, then make cash off of it."
  4. IC: Brekan "The obviously you weren't treasure hunting the right way." She responded to Stronin. Obviously he must have gone about it in the wrong way if he hadn't had fun, that was the point of treasure hunting. That, and making a ton of cash, both were parts of it.
  5. IC: Vrana Having his answer, he nodded in response. He didn't understand what could have caused people, in the event of such victory, to turn against each other with fear in their hearts. When something was already feared, then it was no different, but to fear something that not long before had been an ally? He had gone through such before, but it had taken a horrible event to cause such. Whatever had happened to cause such between entire villages, it must have been much worse. It never crossed his mind that it may just have been greed, the desire for something and the fear that someone else might get it first. He adjusted his feathered cloak slightly, as he once would have his wings. Unlike the other two, he could never get tired of Ga-Wahi, it was a place that would always feel most welcome to him, even if the village did not.
  6. IC: Vrana He stood off to the side, not really saying anything. He eyed over the person that Cadias had been speaking to. They seemed to have energy, quite a lot of it. And they seemed quick with a response, something rather unusual from his experience. But then there was something else that needed commented on. "Cadias, you didn't tell me that the Koro weren't getting along very well. Has it really reached the point where people want to kill the village leaders?" There was something a little strange about it, considering when last he left, they had all been working together against Makuta.
  7. IC: Brekan "I don't need somewhere to sleep, Minty. I'm not even tired." She remarked, not realizing that he probably thought she was drunk out of her mind. But she was still sharp enough to hear someone else noticing her comments of treasure. "Yep, treasure hunting. Seeking out anything lost outside of the village, be it tons of cash, rare weapons, anything that can be found." She hadn't actually ever found any of those, but she was certain they were out there somewhere.
  8. IC: Brekan As she was about to reply, the funniest response crossed her mind, it was hilarious in every sense of the word. As she tried to say it, she found it was so funny she just couldn't get the words out without cracking up laughing. "Hey Minty, don't..." And she lost it, breaking down laughing. "Don't get..." again she found the words too hilarious.
  9. IC: Brekan Hearing Grochi's comment that he needed a vacation anyway, she as eager to swipe up the chance. If he held that much sway with the guards, it would certainly make any more issues easier to avoid, plus sometimes finding treasure could result in landscape damage, which maybe he could help get her out of. Of course, then their came with the problem that as soon as she sobered up, she'd go back into terror mode. Eh, live for the drunken moment. "Well then, welcome to the Treasure Hunters, Minty."
  10. IC: Interitio He was about to explain to the eager assassin that timing would be key to the mission. Both parts would have to happen at about the same time. If the planted evidence was discovered too early, then warning might reach Ta-Koro before they were done with the killings. If the evidence was placed too late, then it may go unnoticed during investigations. It was a delicate balance, one that had to be reached with the greatest of care, lest the balance be broken and one side fall, taking the other sliding with it. This wasn't like their previous murders, failure here was not an option. And with this move, they would have an island eager to see someone brought to justice for what was done, they just had to make sure it wasn't them. This would be a game of high risk, and high reward. A game of chess between two enemies, only one aware that the game was even taking place. But once the pieces had started falling off the board, it was certain the other player would take notice, and they would try to defeat what they thought as a foe. It was possible that NEX could defeat the Koro if worst came to be, but the chances of that were so slim as to not even be noteworthy, they couldn't be connected under any circumstances. And he was saving one small detail, one he wished to bring up at only the right time. Any of them that got captured, they would have to die By their own hands or by those of another, they would have to be ended. His thoughts were halted by the sound of rolling, a clear and audible tell that the one being who held power over him had arrived, the figurehead. He stepped aside to allow full passage for Xylak to move by him. It seemed so long ago, those three months when he had been sent to the land of ice and cold, to rescue the battered body of the killer. Despite the severeness of the wounds Xylak had been found with, and the unfortunate paralysis that had claimed his lower body, the mind inside worked on a whole different level. A dark swiftness and cleverness that seemed to envelop him in shadow, even when standing in the light. And to all around him, he appeared of no real threat. They would think 'What could he do, he can't even stand', and yet the answer was one with a simple answer. What could he do? He could have you killed without a passing thought. Even he had to wonder how the Leader of NEX had managed to slip around him, and get behind him in the darkest part of the alleyway. There was no other way in, as far as Interitio was aware. He had to have moved past them without their realization, or perhaps he had been there the whole time, unmoving and totally silent to the point even the darkness wasn't aware of what it held. He turned towards the Toa with the slightest hint of a bow. It was a sign of respect, but also of hinting jealousy. Once again, another had been given his rightful place, and this time he had been sent to collect that person himself. It was a sickening feeling, down in the deepest parts of his person. "I would like to introduce you all to our leader." It was time to start this plan into motion, to ready all killers for their parts. He had the supplies they would need, all that was left was to wait for Xylak to give the order, to begin the plan of the one who stood above him in the shadows. And when it was given, the deadly plot would reach out and strike fear into the hearts of the island. He couldn't wait to begin.
  11. IC: Brekan "There ain't, as far as I'm aware of." She responded to Perkahn. "But I'm not here after treasure right now, I'm on a very important mission to find someone here, not sure who." That was enough to set her off, make her start up on an explanation. It was back-story time. "You see, I used to work with a Vortixx by the name of Fov, a bit bossy but eh. He wanted to help some four-eyed smoke-puffing blade-armed thing in a cloak stop trying to kill people, become a better person. I wanted to get as far away as possible, the logical thing, right? He got all mad because I wasn't being logical about it, telling me to basically just listen to him and that my opinion didn't matter. So I ditched him, and ended up here." "So, anyone looking for a job as a treasure hunter?"
  12. IC: Brekan "Yeah, Minty's right... probably better when things're like this to just stay on the guards' good sides. Way less trouble that way, plus you can't be kicked out of a village for not doing anything illegal." It was probably the alcohol, but she found Liacada's horrible pun to be quite hilarious, cracking up a little and quietly repeating it to herself. "I think you are the only sober one, Minty..." Even in this state, she really didn't want to start making trouble. That was a quick way for her to ruin her career entirely, and she really needed her job, even if it wasn't really much of a job. That was when she remembered exactly why she was in the Koro in the first place. "I'm a Treasure Hunter."
  13. IC: Brekan Normally, Brekan would have freaked out at the sudden change fro serious to joke, been terrified of the person who suggested it, and tried to escape. To drunken Brekan, it made perfect sense. "Ah, heh, actually had me thinking you were crazy or something there. Those plans sound way more doable." "Though I really don't want to get that one guard angry again, you see that look on her face? It was like all 'I'm going to kill you for this', and I really don't want to see that again."
  14. IC: Vrana "You could have twice as many tubes?" Vrana remarked, sharing none of the enthusiasm. He couldn't care less about the technological advancements that the island had been making, it wasn't something that really concerned him. As long as they left the wilderness outside of the villages alone, he was perfectly content with the way things were now. The mention of seeing a Toa along the beach piqued his curiosity slightly, as he turned towards where Cadias was shouting. He could fully understand just walking along the beach, the peaceful feeling of the waves and the sea breeze was enough to make it worthwhile.
  15. IC: Brekan If Brekan had any drink left in her cup, and if she had been drinking it at that moment, she would have promptly spit it out. What the Toa was suggesting wasn't some harmless little prank, it was downright criminal. "Nuh uh, no way I'm getting pulled into this one. I'm not exactly the break-in break-out type. Also, there is no way I'm even going into a prison, those people aren't just unknown, they're... evil and bad and stuff. Not gonna do it." "Also, ain't that a little... illegal? Like, fail-and-you-end-up-in-that-very-jail type illegal?"
  16. IC: Vrana He followed after Cadias, a cold silence over him for a few moments before he finally decided to speak up. "Big tubes that you ride around it?" He couldn't understand the Plasma Toa's excitement about something that seemed so... uninteresting. What would be the point in travelling in a tube when there were much faster ways to travel around.
  17. IC: Vrana Vrana on the other hand, was a bit less cooperative, not handing over the new Coat that he had gotten, nor taking off his clawed gauntlets. If the guards had been in the village for more than three months, they may have recognized his appearance as resembling that of the Bird-like being who had been a defender of the Koro, his mannerisms matched that of the flying being of the past to an exact level. Seeing the look that Cadias no doubt gave him, he removed the coat and handed it over. He still didn't remove the claws.
  18. OOC: I thought as much, which is why I wanted to be certain before just heading out. Cadias, I'll let you post them reaching the entrance guards. IC: Vrana "No." He figured that was the only response he actually needed. The mere fact that Cadias had though to ask that brought up its own set of questions in Vrana's mind, but he decided not to speak them aloud. Yes, there had been one time, but that had been many, many years ago, during the earliest days of his connections with the village, before the death of her... He turned towards Cadias with a slight bit of a frown, He had already told the Plasma Toa that story, had he already forgotten. He supposed maybe it wasn't important enough to be worth remembering, but it was something Vrana would never forget, his past had been scarred into him on many occasions.
  19. IC: Brekan "So you helped fight of the Makuta's pet snake-people? Wicked." She commented, after listening to his story. It sounded a little like something she had heard once, being told by someone for some reason. Eh, wasn't that important. "Seems like this whole island's gone to the crazies now, rules and regulations and strictness to levels that would have made Makuta's rule seem like some sort of never ending party, am I right?" "Name's Brekan, maybe you've heard of me, probably not." She leaned back in the chair she was sitting in, making herself more comfortable. She turned her head towards Liacada before she responded to what the Toa of fire was saying. "I'm not the kind to go seeking out trouble with the guards, there's a lot of them you know, more'n their are of me. Plus breaking the laws tends to freak me out and stuff. But what've you got in mind?"
  20. IC: Interitio He looked at Demos with the slightest hints of a smile, though those around him couldn't see it. That was exactly the question he had been waiting for, and it allowed for him to go into a lengthy explanation of exactly what his plan was. He had been waiting for the perfect time to give a full list of the needed details, and he figured that now was the perfect time for it. Getting him started on it may not have been the best of ideas, now it would come to the challenge of getting him to stop talking, not an easy one who he began on a long-winded Idea. "You see, a group of us shall be sent into Ta-Koro to kill several select targets of political importance. This shall be the first part of the plan. Each one of us will be going after a different Target, with one being sent after the village's current leader, Jaller. We want all of the killings to take place within a short period of time, during which the guard will be rather preoccupied, you'll know it when you see it. I should inform you now that these individuals will not be easy to kill, it would not surprise me if every one of them has guards of some sort, or is ever truly alone. If you need to take out some of the guards to finish this mission, do so, but be warned that they will put up quite a fight if not properly dealt with. Keeping ourselves hidden, while still highly important, becomes less so when escaping the scene. It might be better if you let them see a small recognizable detail, such as the color of your eyes, but not enough to recognize you if seen again. When these individuals have met with their untimely ends, then is time for our escape from the village perhaps the most difficult part of this mission. You will have to escape without me, due to having another matter to attend to while in Ta-Koro, but I shall have an escape planned before we begin our killings." "Now, for the second part of the plan, you shall be the only person sent. You will travel to Ko-Koro, taking with you a few small things that shall be planted within an important location, such as the office of the Village leader himself if you can manage, make sure that is still locatable by someone who would not intentionally hide it. What exactly you shall be leaving behind shall go unmentioned. I will give the items to you when you depart for your segment of this plan. But rest assured, what I give you shall cement the idea that there is only one logical explanation for the current events. The Ta-Koro group was hired by the village of ice in an attempt to bring their Koro crashing down."
  21. OOC: Alright then, though with the recent criminal activity, I just thought maybe it would be a wise thing to ask. IC: Vrana "No, I'm afraid not. I've never even heard of a chute before." Vrana admitted at the question from Cadias, he didn't quite share the amused grin of his friend. His face was a bit more serious overall. "Did I what?" He already knew exactly what Cadias was asking about, but if he was going to bring about the accusation, he could at least be specific in it.
  22. IC: Brekan "Cool, being famous must be sweet, except for the screaming fans and whatever. What'd you do to get the fame, save Jaller's cat from a tree or something?" It was an honest question. In a town with guards like this, she could only imagine it wouldn't take much to be considered noteworthy, like doing something nice.
  23. They shall suffer. And I'm currently working out a plan that very well may be a pebble on the path towards inter-Koro relations crumbling down. They shall suffer. Unity shall be fragmented. It should be up and moving within the next... I'm not sure, a short period of time, a week if all goes well. Unity shall be fragmented. Death is coming. But if it goes at least somewhat close to how I have it planned, there might be at least a sense of distrust that starts spreading. Death is coming.
  24. OOC: Does one have to go through any Guard outposts or anything to leave the village? IC: Vrana "Yeah, the chutes..." He had absolutely no idea of what the chutes were, but judging by Cadias' reaction, they sounded like something rather interesting. Seeing what they were would certainly make for an interesting experience. "I stayed up in a cave I found along the cliff-side, carving. I found the wreckage of a boat in there, it looking like it had been there for a rather long time, there were a few corpses still laying about."
  25. IC: Brekan "Hey, I'm not complaining. You got me out of a jam there, real nice. You're the one who just did some sort of crazy run, carrying away someone the guard were trying to question. It ain't me that I'd be worried about, Minty." She spoke of his Armor's coloration, Green and white, certainly a different coloration, but she was one to talk. "Besides, from the sounds of it, you have a lot of grip on this town. You wanna take the chance at losing it by lugging around someone you just convinced the guards to leave along?"
