Why did he think the village would rather tie than win?

Blade, I suspected that when you said something in the topic about arranging an ending, but something else you said later made me think you hadn't explicitly given us away. When exactly did you tell him?

Well, to be fair, I did want you to P.M. Shadow, Taka, and Pulse as well, but as you said, you didn't get to it because you got too busy to be able to. The best it could have done is possibly arranged a deal in which Shadow would have kept Unit alive with his votes, Lloyd would still have killed me, and then Unit and Shadow could kill two and tie up the votes in the next day, then tie/win the game. But I'm not sure that would have worked, since we didn't know about the Siren taking away votes.

Shadow, out of curiosity, would you have been willing to consider an alliance, had we put forth a plan that would guarantee our mutual victory, provided you cooperated?

Also, despite what I claimed in the topic, I did primarily suspect you after the mafia was dead. Your last-minute vote for only Zakaro was the prime reason. I doubted Pulse did it, so I didn't mind if my defense of him backfired. I still thought there was a chance it was Taka.

Just think what would have happened if Blade didn't tell Ibrow who you all were and if you guys didn't insist that Canis was the NK. xD

That wasn't one of the couple (O.K., three) major mistakes I was thinking of. Did he actually do that?

Regarding Canis, once I suspected that there might be a role that could read our messages, I moved most N.K. discussion to one-on-one PMs with Blade. We talked about a lot of other possibilities.

I agree that this game seemed pretty balanced. The mafia, at least, had a shot at winning, but we made a couple crucial mistakes. The village did win. One different vote outcome, and the N.K. would have won.

Does anybody (maybe the wiki?) have data on the mafia/village/other win ratio, over all games for which we still know who won?

Well, if his killing was randomly generated, he couldn't keep you alive except by protecting you, and we never tried to kill you. Of course, I guess he could protect you... from himself?

Oh... I was glad to see a new blog entry, indicating Greg is back... but then... If scholastic stops making Bionicle books, could you get a new publisher? One that puts out more advertisements? Does AMEET publish books in the US?

If Scholastic does stop publishing BIONICLE books, would AMEET be able to take over? Or would the licensing still be there?

A few answers:

 

1) No, they are not "born" with the implants.

2) I have no idea how they will deal with this in the movie or if they will deal with it in the movie. I have not seen any movie animation.

3) This was a story team decision, based in large part on our wanting to distance BM from old BIONICLE. If we just did "Toa" again without calling them Toa, that would be pretty dull.

4) The whole "ocular implants" thing was an example -- I'm not saying every bone hunter has that or even that most do, it's just an example of something they might have that would be useful.

5) It is always going to be difficult to do organic with Technic pieces. At the same time, if you look at a 2001 Toa set, you can't tell he has organic muscle tissue and organic lungs or anything organic at all, but he does. You just use your imagination.
