    No, this is not dead, merely down for the count, but it's back up and running.

    Before I go in-depth with any of the characters, the controls and what they do should be explained.

    NOTE: These are the default controls for each kind of Controller. You may create your own Profile under Brawl-Names and change the controls if you wish.

    Wiimote with Nunchuck:

    Wiimote
    A=Standard Attack
    B=Special Attack
    A+B=Grab
    + Button=Pause
    - Button=N/A
    D-Pad=N/A
    1=Up Taunt
    2=Down Taunt
    1+2=Side Taunt

    Nunchuck
    Analog Stick: Up Mash=Jump, Side=Move, Down=Crouch, Down Mash=Drop through Platforms
    C=Jump
    Z=Shield
    Z+A=Grab

    Wiimote (Held with sensor facing Left):

    D-Pad: Up=Jump, Side=Move, Down=Crouch, Down Quick= Drop through Platforms
    A=Taunt
    B=Shield
    A+B=Grab
    + Button=Pause
    - Button=Grab
    1=Special Attack
    2=Standard Attack
    1+2=Smash Attack (Instead of D-Pad+2)

    Classic Controller

    D-Pad=Taunt
    Left Analog Stick: Up Mash= Jump, Side=Move, Down=Crouch, Down Mash=Drop through Platforms
    Right Analog Stick: Smash Attack (Instead of D-Pad+a)
    a=Special Attack
    b=Standard Attack
    L=Shield
    R=Shield
    ZL=Grab
    ZR=Grab
    x=Jump
    y=Jump

    GameCube Controller
    Analog Stick: Up Mash=Jump, Side=move, Down=Crouch, Down Mash=Drop through Platforms
    A=Standard Attack
    B=Special Attack
    C-Stick=Smash Attack (Instead of Analog Stick+A)
    L=Shield
    R=Shield
    Z=Grab
    X=Jump
    Y=Jump

    Now, I'll talk about movement, basic attacks, and shielding (dodging and grabbing included)

    Movement: Well, it's, moving.
    Actually, there's more to it than that. When your press either left or right with whatever controller you're using, your character moves in that direction. If you move the joystick slightly, your character will walk. A little more, and he will do a fast walk. Push it all the way and your character will break into a run. While your character is in walk or fast walk, they will execute a strong attack when you press A, if your character is running, they will execute a dash attack.

    When you tap 'up' or press the jump button, your character jumps off the ground. Press it a second time, and you execute a mid-air jump. Characters with wings can do several small mid-air jumps.

    If you press 'down', your character crouches, making them more stable and will not be knocked back as far by an attack. Tap it quickly, and you drop through thin pieces of the stages called Platforms.

    Attacks:
    Press the standard attack button and your character goes into an attack animation. Press it multiple times with some characters, and you do a 'Standard Combo Attack'.

    Gently tilt the analog stick (or D-Pad) in any of the four directions and then press the standard attack button to execute what's called a 'Strong Attack'. They're not as powerful as a Smash Attack, but are stronger than a Standard Combo.

    Quickly mash the analog stick (or D-Pad) in any of the four directions and follow up that by pressing the standard attack button to execute what's called a 'Smash Attack'. These are usually your character's most powerful, but slowest, attacks.

    By pressing the Special Attack button, your character does their 'Regular Special' attack.
    If you press the analog stick (or D-Pad) in any of the four directions and then follow up by pressing the Special Attack button, you will do a special attack. Usually, the up-special makes you higher above the ground, but there are some exceptions, namely Meta Knight and Sonic.

    You can also do aerial attacks, one for pressing the standard attack button, or you can do an attack in one of the four directions. Damage done varies, depending on the character. Watch out when you do a down-aerial attack (pressing down on the joystick while pressing standard attack), because it’s usually slow and will probably KO you if you are off the edge of the stage.

    Shielding (shielding, dodging and grabbing)
    There will be times you will want to block or dodge attacks, and the easiest (and pretty the only) way to do that is by pressing the shield button. If you press this, there will be a colored bubble around your character. Please note that the color doesn’t matter, the colors change depend on what player you are (if you are player 1, then your shield will be red, player 2 is blue, 3 is yellow, and 4 is green) or whatever team you are on in Team Battle. This will absorb almost any attack that you are hit with. Again, there are exceptions.

    You will notice that the bubble starts to shrink while you hold the button down, or when your shield takes a hit. Don’t let it shrink all the way, or your character will be knocked out for a moment. The best way to avoid this is to press move the joystick to the left right, which will cause your character to roll in that direction, dodging whatever that would normally hit you. This is, of course, known as a dodge, and no one can hit your character while they are in a dodge. Another way to dodge is by moving the joystick down. While your character won’t go anywhere if you do this kind of dodge, it has a bit quicker reaction time to it.

    Now that I am on the shield button, I will inform you about the grab, which is performed when your press the standard attack button while you are holding down the shield button. You can also perform a grab by pressing the standard and special attack buttons at the same time. If you successfully grab an opponent, they cannot move while they are in your grab. There are two options that you have: press the standard attack button repeatedly to hit your opponent, giving them a small percentage of damage per hit (1-2%), or press one of the four directions to send the opponent in that direction. The damage given in each direction is varied. Depending on the character that you are controlling.

    Well, that’s all for now. I hope this has been informative for new players as well as moderately interested players.

    The next subject I will talk about will be official and custom stages. I will talk about the different functions that are on the stages, and I will rate them by danger level. Guess which is the most deadly…

    I've had this on my mind for a while, but my username gets misspelled a lot (Zorrahk instead of Zorrakh). Now I've noticed that not very many people spell other people's usernames wrong, so I'm just wondering... Why me?

    Great song, by the way, but I only picked that for the title because I couldn't think of anything else.

    So, I'm working on a life-size Terminator skull out of Bionicle and Technic parts, with very few system pieces, AND I'm trying to get it done in time to send it to Brick Fair. Is that gonna happen? Probably not, but I can at least try.

    EDIT: Whoops, I mean Brick Con.

    Three days ago, my sisters, my dad and I went to GameStop, bought a GameCube controler, and a game called Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. But when we got back and started up the Wii, we found out we needed a GameCube memory card.

    Thankfully we were able to get one off of Craigslist, so now we can save our game.
    It's a great game, but it's hard at some parts, like when you have to fight Revolver Ocelot.

    Welcome -

    After having almost thoroughly playing through The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, I started making Bionicle versions of some of the monster in that game, since I was surprised that hardly anyone has tried making any Legend of Zelda MOCs. Since I think that 'recreating' things from this series out of Lego is a great experience, I decided I wanted to start a club where people can be inspired and do this as well.

    The main purpose of this 'club' would be to build your own version(s) of enemies, characters, objects, whatever you want, from this fantastic game series out of Bionicle. Also, this would allow you to ask others in this 'club' if they could review your work, since they love the series as well.

    If you would like to join, all I ask is that you post here with link to a picture of a LoZ MOC that you have made, the name of it, and if you have one, a reference picture. You need not fufill that last requirement if you do now wish to, I may be able to obtain a reference picture myself.
    I also ask for you to suggest a name for this 'club' if you have a better one in mind than the one I made, and if you're good at graphics, perhaps create a banner.

    So, let the fun begin!

    No, I'm not selling this.
    I picked this lot up last week from a post on Craigslist, a good place to look for great deals on Bionicle, and I got it for $40.

    I also got a Hau and Hau Nuva, a Pakari and Pakari Nuva, a Kaukau Nuva, a Akaku Nuva, a Miru, several Krana and two Kraata. There were also a few Lego pieces and two one-gallon bags worth of K'NEX.

    Yep, even as we speak, right here in Northern California, we've got ourselves a thunder storm.
    It started at about 8:45 PM, and it's a grand sight to see, very much a grand sight. It's actually mostly lightning and a drizzle of rain, but it's still pretty neat.

    Well, even though school is over due to Summer Vacation, my Sister and I still have to finish our Logic. It involves a large amount of writing, but my Mom says it's good for us to do, so I guess I'll just appreciate it when the time comes.

    Does anyone else do Logic for School?

    I just finished the Cave of Ordeals in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess!

    It is a vast cavern spilt into 50 different 'rooms', each filled with enemies. It's not a good idea to enter without a full quiver of arrows, a (few) stuffed bomb bags, and no potions in the bottles you have. It was fun, though. If you have the game, I'd suggest you do it.

    Hello and Welcome -

    What I plan to do is start a discussion here, in my blog, dedicated to the video game Super Smash Brothers Brawl. But, before I go any further, I will start with the introduction from the official website:

    Personally, I think this game could be considered a 'sport'. That is because this game involves skill, timing, determination, and, if you desire to become one of the best players, practice. I want to inform owners of this game of some of the different aspects that SSBB has to offer, such as which character you should play as, how to unlock a new character or stage, or have others give tips for completing one of the highlights of the brawling, the Subspace Emissary.

    I have a feeling that there are members here on BZP that could become friends because they have a common interest, and it is not a terribly violent interest, either. No need to worry about blood or language, it's one of the better games to play.

    Well, that's it for now, I hope to start off with basic controls. Good night.

    I guess I should start by saying thank you, EW. I'll try to use this tool as best I can.

    To the rest of you, welcome to Umbrus Fortes, or roughly translated in English to mean "Stronghold of Night". I could not think of anything else to put as a title, so I decided I would use words from the Latin language for a title. If you have any suggestions, you're free to go on ahead and suggest them.

    Here are some things I plan to do in my blog:

    1. Host a few contests.
    I'm not exactly sure what I could do for prizes to make people think it worth-while to enter, since I don't have anything 'rare' or anything desirable.

    2. Discuss Super Smash Brothers.
    It is a very fun game, and it's one of those games that you can talk about with others, such as giving tips to help others defeat ten enemies in Cruel Brawl.

    3. Maybe have a private Bionicle Risk game hosted here instead of in the Games and Trivia section.
    I'm not sure if that would be allowed or not, but it's something that I think would be neat to do.

    Well, that's it for now, I think my next entry will have to do with SSBB, or maybe about Brickfest 2009, I've got lots of pictures from that event.

    Talk about last minute. I went to Brickshelf this morning, and almost all of the galleries on the first page of the Bionicle folder are BBC entries. It's a great turnout this contest, I think. I wasn't sure if a lot of people would enter, due to the size requirements. But I'm impressed by a lot of the entries.

    So, I've spent about a total of... hmm... one and a half hours on these three pieces, and I think they turned out pretty well. Not bad for first time modeling pieces, I think. What do you think?

    EDIT: Here's another render I did; aside from different textures, I tweeked the ball socket piece a bit.

    Ah, yes, everyone's favorite plumber. Without a doubt everyone's favorite plumber. While Mario has no significant strengths, he has no notable weaknesses; he is the standard character and the easiest to use. He has pretty good arial attacks, however, and they should be used as a main focus with this character. Probably his most useful attack is his cape (Left/Right + B), which can deflect projectiles back at opponents, or can spin your enemies the other way; this is very useful if they are about to execute a very powerful attack on you.

    Mario's best Smash Attack is his Breakdance Sweep, capable of hitting opponents that are on either side of Mario and send them a pretty far distance. His Final Smash, The Mario Finale, can KO multiple enemies if used correctly, sending them across the stage while being pushed by an ever-growing wave of fire. To use this move properly, stand near the middle of the stage, making sure that your opponents are in the imaginary cone-shaped range of your fire blast.

    Well, that's it for now. Please feel free to comment about this (sometimes) underappriciated character.

    I will be gone from today until Sunday afternoon, so if you need anyhting from me, please PM me and I'll get it done as soon as I can.

    While I was waiting for the Boy Scout meeting to start last night, I was bored. I had no one to talk to, so I went up to the podium that was at the front of the rows of chairs, then started slapping my hands on the top of it to some beat in my head. Then I went to the beat of the Modor theme in LotR. it had a nice echo to it, if you didn't leave your other hand on the top of it.

    So, if you ever get a chance to pound on the podium, please do so and let me know what you think.

    I can vaguely recalled sitting on the couch at seven in the morning eight years ago. I can also recall the smoke rising from the towers as they buckled from the weakening of the structure. Even if you are not an American, please remember this day, as it signifies that not all humans are good. Thank you.

    Even though this was my first day at attempting the daunting 15-minute Multi-man Brawl on SSBB, I slayed the beast on my fifth try. I first attempted it with Captain Falcon, but I accedentally executed a Falcon-kick off the stage instead of a Raptor Boost. Next was Sonic, which I was hoping would be fast enough to evade, however that was not the case and he was kicked off the screen. The third try was with Marth, but a Bomb-omb blew up in his face. That gets annoying after a while... On the fourth time I was Lucas, and I was doing pretty well, except he was hit off the stage not unlike Sonic.

    Then I decided to play as one of the least likey characters, Olimar. With him I was able to fend off for nine-hundred seconds, with a score of over three-hundred-and-sixty Alloy KOs. His smash attacks are so quick that I can take out several alloys swiftly, and his strong attacks can knock them back pretty far. And his arial attacks are good, too, mainly because these last a bit longer than most arial attacks.

    Well, that's what I did today. Now I only have one more challenge to reach for a unlock: Collecting all Stickers. My sister wants us to get all the challenges done before the twentith of this month, the day and a year ago that we purchased the game. I'm not sure where to look for the stickers aside from Intense Difficulty on Subspace Emessary, but I hope to obtain them all by the day above.

    My dad and I each picked up an Original-sized Jamba Juice just a few minutes ago. He got the Peanut Butter Moo'd, and I decided to try something new and got the Peach Pleasure with an Energy boost. It's got a nice peach flavor to it, but you can tase the orange sherbert a little bit.

    Now I have to wash dishes and then run off the smoothie.
  20. Zorrakh
    I finally beat Boss Battles on Intense!
    Marth is defintely the way to go if you can dodge Tabuu's Off-wave. It's very easy to beat the other bosses if you're good at Counter Attack. The only hard bosses (aside from Tabuu) are Duon and Porky, the latter being the hardest because the missles that Duon fires do an extra bit of damage when you use Counter Attack.
  21. Zorrakh
    So, in the BZPRPG I've got something big planned out, if you even care about what I do.
    Anyways, I'm wanting to start work on a three-foot tall Rahkshi, a Turahk, to be more exact. Anybody have any ideas as to how this could be done? I'm willing to listen.
