I'm extremely disappointed. That "teaser" isn't even much of a teaser, because it looks like something that could've been used for an earlier issue; there's nothing about the summer sets at all. What a sad day this is. Also, did anyone else get 2 issues? Both my girlfriend and I got 2 copies of this issue for some reason, and it's really confusing. Was this just a mistake in my area, or did it happen to anyone else? ~Tobi

So, while I waited patiently for my girlfriend to get out of the shower today, staring longingly at my dresser from the edge of my bed, with nothing really on my mind, a thought occurred to me, as I presume I caught a glimpse of the Dark Hunters guide book on my floor out of the corner of my eye, though I'm not truly sure if that spawned this idea: what if there were a Dark Hunter video game? Now I know, I know, there's a 99.99999% chance that what I'm talking about is pointless and dumb and I should just stop right now, but I need to get this out there, and who knows, maybe some day, in the future, when Star Trek and Bionicle are once again at their strongest, someone will stumble across an ancient artifact called a "computer" with a cable hooked up to the "internet," find this forum, and maybe, just maybe, come across this topic and implement it. My idea is sort of wibbly-wobbly, and involves either the player taking control of a particular Dark Hunter (unnamed or otherwise), or perhaps several of them over the period of gameplay. Most likely, the game would follow courses set by games such as Dishonored, being a first-person (occasionally) stealth-based game. Players would assume control of their character, and do everything from debt collection, to intimidation, to assassinations, and more. Most likely, the game would be rated Teen (in the U.S.) due to animated/simulated blood (perhaps, although this could be omitted) and violence. I feel like taking control of Lariska, who is a master assassin, apparently, could be nice. A section of the game would also take place during the Toa/Dark Hunter War, and maybe even the Makuta/Dark Hunter War, to give a broad sense of the game. Even playing as the Piraka from time to time would grant some fun and mischief. All in all, I think there is a lot of potential for the Dark Hunters that's never really been tapped, despite the fact that it's right there. What are your guys' opinions, and do you think it could ever be done? ~Tobi

Well, as far as I can tell, there's no place in the Bionicle section where this could be put, because it does not fall under any official material. You're pretty much correct with the format, however, my intention was never to host these roleplays on BZP itself. Basically, I wanted to expand my reach, by asking the question in places where I might find potential roleplay partners outside of the blogging platform itself, some of whome either already have a blog there, or are capable of making one. I have already tried making the request a status post, but seeing as I have very few friends on BZP, I got no responses, so I took to the forums to ask. That's all. ~Tobi

Herein lies my problem; It's not meant to be a planning topic so much as it being a discussion topic. Also, since the Bionicle forums are all for official material, this doesn't fit very well in there. And I'm not planning on doing an RPG. None of those really fit. I wasn't sure exactly where to put this, hence why it's here, but I don't see a place to put it where it fits properly. ~Tobi

I've always thought that the Barraki would wear masks that aren't necessarily in the canon, because I'm sure there are many masks, we just haven't seem them in the story. I actually wrote down in a list somewhere what masks they wore, in my mind, at least, and if I remember, they were: Pridak: Mask of Rage - makes the wearer stronger but causes uncontrollable anger Carapar: Mask of Removal - allows the user to remove any non-vital body part (this goes along with him removing one of his claws in order to wield a Squid Launcher) Kalmah: Mask of Regeneration - the user can regrow body parts; the speed at which the parts are recovered depends on the amount lost Takadox: Mask of Deception - the user casts a "spell" on an item, rendering it invisible as long as the mask is active; can only be used on one object at a time, and the effect turns off when the mask is deactivated, but returns when the mask is used again (hence how he was able to hide his Transit Tablet or whatever it was called) Mantax: Mask of Camouflage - the user can blend in with their surroundings, rendering them nearly invisible; requires the wearer to be pressed against the surface to work, and any shift in body will require the mask to be used again. ~Tobi
