  1. Oh my glob, guys, I just realized something! So, I don't have the actual identity of the GB in disguise, but I think, and keep in mind, I only think, but I think I know something about the GB, in question. He's short, and he's been there since the very beginning. You may be asking yourself "But Tobi, how do you know this? What kind of insanity are you spouting? Do you feel ill?". The answer, my friends, is simple! In the Legends books, there was, at one time, two GB's who went down to the SC and placed Iggy there, and the shorter of the two suggested placing Umbra as a guardian for the mask, to which the other said no. But, as we all know too well, Umbra, was, in fact, a guardian of Iggy. So someone had to disobey orders, and who else but someone evil?I know this doesn't help much, but it's still something! ~Tobi
  2. He is known to have saved Lhikan's life when he was a Matoran. Also, as far as we know he was a good and noble Toa, because I doubt that he would become Turaga of Metru Nui if he was corrupt as a Toa, so he would have been interfering when going on missions and such. There is a old saying in Russia that goes something like this; "Do not walk into a monastery with your principles." If Dume was the GB he would observe and act the same way everyone else acted, besides he knows a lot more about the Matoran Universe than we know like in Island of Shadows he found the chamber with the Toa canisters far underneath the archives.Yeah, well, you have to remember that even though this is logical, it's not very practical. Also, of course he found the canisters, he had over a thousand years to explore an empty city. You find stuff like that, eventually.~Tobi
  3. Thanks. The major problem with this picture is that, because I'm a terrible artist (and I'm letting you in on a little secret here), I took a photograph, and then I drew based off of that. Which is why there's a lack of shading. Because there was almost no shading in the photograph. But yeah, it was supposed to be very comic book-ish.~Tobi
  4. Tuyet, in my opinion is way out, because of her several thousand years confinement in the alternate dimension, plus, she wants to take control of the Universe, and succeeding in the Kingdom AU. Anyways, Tuyet is absolutely out. Dume is an interesting choice, and it's possible, but again, back when he was a Toa, he would've "interfered".~Tobi
  5. The final analysis bugs me just because you assume Darkness is stronger than the Shadowed One, when this is not necessarily true. The Hulk may be stronger than me, but if I got the chance, and felt I had to, I could kill the Hulk. That's what I mean. Hope this helps.~Tobi
  6. So, one of my two self-MoCs, Vezon-X, is a silly little character I made up, and one day, drew a picture of. It's one of my greatest works of art, so tell me what you think. LINK~Tobi
  7. Yeah that is what I've been saying the whole time. He has such good possibilities[*]We do not know the full extent of his powers but we know he has the ability to to kill the Shadowed One if needed. and i would assume the great being would not reveal all his powers either[*]Even though they say he has no interest with the world around him who is to say he really does care but doesn't show it.and with this quote from biosector this shows that not only does he follow the Shadowed One, but he also has the ability to watch him from afar which could mean he has the ability similar to the insane/imprisoned great being where he talked to/watched vezon when he was in an entirely different dimension. so there are many traits of Darkness that could point him as being the great being. Unlike with velika who the only main reason is his weirdness and his abnormal knowledge such as about the energized protodermis thing and antidermis. So yeah i agree that Darkness is a very high possibility. no you are not the only that does not like the great being possibly being velika. i really don't like the idea of velika either. i'm more inclined to think it is darknessYour constant references to Darkness a bit... out of place, I think. The main reason is because, as I said before, we don't necessarily know that he has the "power" to kill TSO. Let's give a real-world example, albeit one that is completely insane, yet still logical.Let's say, in the U.S., that the President (in this case, we'll call him Amabo, for the sake on awkwardness) has not only leadership power, but also some other power (he can use mental attacks, let's say). Now pretend he's also a dictator, because that will help the situation. Now, the vice-president, in this case, we'll call him Mark, stands silently behind Amabo every hour of every day. Amabo scares all of those who come in to his office. Now, we know Mark has weird powers, but he's not invincible, and neither is Amabo. One day, Amabo decides he's going to fall in love with someone, and this will impact his ability to lead (or dictate) the U.S. Mark will now come in and stab Amabo in the back, or break his neck, or something, and kill him. Amabo was still physically stronger than Mark, but Mark still killed him.The situation is similar here. Although you are right in saying that we do not know the full extent of Darkness' powers, and you do have a right to have your opinion, especially one that has evidence to support it, as you have provided, however, your final analysis is what bugs me the most. I'm sorry if I'm rambling, it's just what I think. However, I do believe you have strong evidence, and your theory is not at all unfounded. Darkness has just as much ability to be the GB.Finally, I would like to once again give my two cents (AGAIN) about my theory of the GB being Umbra. Just saiyan.~Tobi
  8. I agree, Gavla is very unlikely. Also, Greg never said. He had several males listed on the "no-can-do" list, and I think the only female was Helryx, but that's because of the backlash of having a female character with actual power and authority turn out to be a man all along, so she was out.Dark Hunters seem mostly out, but Darkness... it gives me pause, I can say that much. He never leaves the Shadowed One's side, so, as far as we know, he's never actually gone out and "interfered" with the world outside, meaning, he has fits some of the criteria. He has officially appeared in the story, so is well-known enough for that. But I don't know if he really fits the bill. I think the DH guide mentioned that he never left the island, and when the Shadowed One would go somewhere, Darkness would just stare off, but supposedly, could still see him. So since Darkness barely even left the Shadowed One's chamber, I'm hesitant to accept the fact that Darkness, or any other Hunter, is our suspect.~Tobiwell i'm gonna quote Biosector01 with this info it proves that darkness is always with the The Shadowed One even if TSO is not on Odina. And even though they say the events that happen around him mean little to him that could still be a fake front when he actually does pay attention. He also has the power to defeat the TSO which would mean he has alot of powers/strength to be able to defeat The Shadowed One.These help support my theory that the hidden GB might be darkness. He doesn't necessarily have the power to defeat him in battle. His main purpose is to be there for TSO to show weakness, or compassion, and then kill him. Since the full extent of his power isn't known, it is probable he would just come down and stab him in the back, break his neck, etc., as it's doubtful he would go into full hand-to-hand combat, especially knowing The Shadowed One's power.~Tobi

  10. Wow, that's a little rude, don't you think? Why do you have to be such a downer?Look, I get you're upset we haven't seen updates in over 6 months, we all are, but that doesn't mean you have to be so pessimistic. Remember, Greg has a job to do, as well as several other things, and he's the one who suggested this topic, if I do remember correctly. It's just a means to keep us entertained while he works hard on not only writing new material, but also working on HF adaptation, taking care of his kid, doing other editing jobs, etc.Besides, who knows, maybe, while you're here complaining that the stories are over and that there's no point in continuing this thread, he could be at Lego HQ right now trying to get Bionicle back again.~Tobi
  11. ~TobiYes, that was one of my reasons. How the Karzahni did he:A. Recognize itB. Know that it would work without harming the Matoran?Precisely my point. There's no way he could've known that unless he had inside knowledge. That's it, thread closed, the internet is over we found the answer.Of course, I can't close a thread, and I'm sure that there are more theories and logic, so, we'll just have to wait and see. Regardless, I think Velika is our best bet.I still wish my Umbra theory was at least acknowledged, though. >.<~Tobi
  12. Not necessarily. The GB's knew the threat the mask possessed to them. For example, in Inferno, I think it was, when the two GB's were delivering the Ignika to its location under the SC, they were being very wary and mentioned the other GB, the one who met Vezon and the others. So the fact that they knew it, feared it, and, again, can't really interfere with the inner workings of the MU, means that Brutaka is likely out. Although I'm sure there's still a slight chance, or that GregF might've considered him at one point, I doubt it.Also, as I was writing this, a thought came to mind. The GB was not supposed to interfere in the MU, right? Well, if he is the murderer, that means he had some knowledge that Mata Nui would, one day, have all of his inhabitants go out onto Spherus Magna, right? Because he's been planning evil deeds for a very, very long time.We know this from what Orde said. So he wouldn't interfere, because he knew Mata Nui's mission was important, but once it was all over... well, no more mission, no more need for those that once lived inside of him, right?~Tobi
  13. There is also another problem with this theory. The issue here is that all this time, Mavrah has been on the Red Star, or at least, so we can assume. Based on that theory, after what Orde said in TPTB, it's obvious that the GB has been inside the MU this whole time. (Wow, lots of acronyms.) Actually, yeah, I think it does. In addition (and yes, I will be green texting)>can't interfere>wants/tries to steal the IgnikaI'd say this rules him out.~Tobi
  14. I didn't see this topic anywhere else, and I thought it was a good question:So, the Matoran language is a programming language, like 0's and 1's. But I do have a few questions: first, whenever a weird word (I'll use "Vezon" as an example) is brought up, the story will quickly describe it, saying something along the lines of "vezon is the Matoran word for 'double'." The question is: are beings in the MU always speaking Matoran (with the exclusion of the Skakdi's native tongue)? Seeing as the characters tend to point out specific words, such as "inika", "vezon", etc., is the story just clarifying what the words mean? If this is true, then when a character, such as a Piraka, saw a word and the story said "if [redacted] recalled correctly, [redacted x] was the Matoran word for [redacted y]". Sorry if this is confusing. But this also brings me to my next question: if the MU beings are always speaking Matoran, how did they communicate with the Glatorian/Agori on Bara Magna, who would, theoretically, speak Agori? When Lewa was transported to Bota Magna, he encountered several Agori and was unable to communicate with them, so their language is obviously different. But Tahu and the others were able to communicate with Gresh and friends just fine. Why is this?~Tobi
  15. Okay, fine, I give. As much as I really want to believe that my Umbra theory has something to it, I have to accept that Velika is the GB for a few reasons. The first is that everyone pretty much agrees on that fact, and the community is rarely wrong when this many people are convinced of its authenticity. The next is the great evidence you guys have put forward. Really taught me a lesson. Not sure if anyone else posted about this, or if it has been mentioned, how many times, but I would like to quickly direct your attention to Legends #3: Power Play, Chapter 5, page 54, first paragraph. ~Tobi
  16. Oh, no, no, no, I don't think you understood me. I'm not saying that he should replace Greg, no, not in the slightest! I'm just saying that, with Greg so pre-occupied, that perhaps some other side-writing (such as this) could be done by people like Cederak to expand on the preexisting universe, seeing as he just kind of pushes that to the side until it becomes... erm... "convenient" to write it in. Believe me, I love his work, always have, always will. Heck, I put aside a book for school just so I could read the Legends series again, because I valued them more. I definitely think there should be more. In fact, in my eternally moody lifestyle, I constantly wish that, during this long hiatus that we've experienced, that Greg didn't just say "HOST LOTS OF CONTESTS FOR THESE CHARACTERS" because I would love to see it. Now I know, leaving these things open to interpretation is part of the story, but the fact of the matter is, when you have characters such as Helryx, Johmak, Artahka, Tren Krom, etc., and no real depiction of them, it really leaves a little too much open. Anyways, I'm digressing. I still just think that some writing like this should be accepted into canon, and that Greg should allow people to write fics like this and accept them canonically (that is, as long as they follow specific guidelines, otherwise, every story about a biomechanical being would be accepted into the story XD)~Tobi
  17. This was probably one of the most amazing one-shot fics I have ever read! Like, it was amazing! I really liked your writing style. I did have a few issues with it, I will admit, such as the constant use of the term "biomech" (everyone calling each other one) and the full-on laser rifle (made me wonder if you had just finished Deus Ex: Human Revolution or something). Regardless, this was a great fic!I really liked how you created three 4 new species that all just worked so well. As far as we know, there are hundreds of species in the MU, only a few of which have been seen/named, and the lack of it is annoying, but you created these amazing characters, gave them abilities, and gave them real human properties that I'm sure GregF would be a little envious of. I really liked your descriptions, too, of the look of the characters, their armor and eye color. Not many people do things like that, only giving a general idea. Heck, even Greg only described the original Piraka as "green-armored" or "wearing blue armor" when we all know there was more than that. You really gave your characters great attributes. The story was also very dark, yet sincere. As I mentioned before, you gave the characters human attributes, and it is plainly seen here. The alien-esque descriptions of the one piraka also made me smile with glee at the sci-fi references. I really enjoyed it.Just because I love this so much, I'm gonna screen-cap this fic. I'm not going to put it anywhere, except on my own computer to read and enjoy even when internet isn't available, don't worry, since I don't believe in stealing and sharing other peoples' work, especially when it's something so amazing. XD Anyways, yeah, you are an amazing writer and I'd really like to see more of this story in the near future. Who knows, maybe you can do some of Greg's writing for him. XD~Tobi
  18. Sad for my friend and what may happen to her, but I'm being selfish and more worried about losing her than what's happening /to/ her...

  19. Sad for my friend and what may happen to her, but I'm being selfish and more worried about losing her than what's happening /to/ her...

  20. I'm sad for my friend and what might happen to her... but the worst part is, I'm being selfish, because it's less her well-being I'm worried about as opposed to the fact that I may lose her.

  21. I'm sad for my friend and what might happen to her... but the worst part is, I'm being selfish, because it's less her well-being I'm worried about as opposed to the fact that I may lose her.

  22. I know this might sound like a snide remark, but if you do have a backstory planned/already made (or at least some other info), could you share it with the community/me in a PM? I'm writing an... erm... "epic" FanFiction and there are several Makuta who are rebels, and have several flashbacks. I was wondering if I could include Seth in my story in one of them? My Makuta were loyal to Miserix, as well (although "sided" with Terry during the Convocation), and even sparked a small conflict during theirs and a few others' rebellion and subsequent escape. I would really like to include another OC, but I'm not very creative and having an image to work with is really nice. So, yeah.tl;dr I would really like if you posted some story for this guy because I want to see if I can use him in a FanFiction I'm writing if you would allow it. ~Makuta'sdarkslave
  23. I just want to clear things up (so someone please respond directly to this with the correct information if you have it):I read earlier someone said something about the murderer and Great Being being one and the same, but I was reading the Story serials, and I just need to point out that the GB and the murderer are not the same person. The reason for this is because Vezon was teleported to meet the GB that originally touched the Ignika and was locked up, and Vezon later teleported the beings that had been expelled from MN's body by Terry. So now all these beings are with this locked up GB who admits to himself (and the reader) that he had killed both Karzahni and Tren Krom. So with this information, the other GB that we're looking for is not the murderer. Please keep this in mind in further posts. >~<~Makuta'sdarkslave
  24. Okay, so, I'm not sure if anyone stated this (5 pages= tl;dr), but I have a hunch. Now, disprove me or shoot down my theory, but it is quite simple: My theory is that the Great Being is Umbra.WHY? You may ask. Simple. And that simple answer comes in the form of a quote. May I quote it? Yes. Yes I may.""It's not deep enough," said the smaller figure. "We can bury [the Ignika] deep, even provide Umbra as a protector for it. But can we be sure it is safe here?""We will do what we must," his parnet replied. "Mata Nui will one day face challenges we cannot even imagine, in places we can only dream of. If one of those challenges proves to be too great even for his power, this Mask of Life may be all that can save him.""All the more reason to guard-""The mask will make its own guardians, as it needs them. You know that. Be assured, the Mask of Life will never leave this chamber until the destined time.""-Bionicle Legends #5: InfernoOkay, so basically, one of the Great Beings said Umbra wouldn't be needed because the Mask would make its own guardians. And yet Umbra was still there, and he was willing to kill. Sooo...~Makuta'sdarkslave
  25. I just wrote my entire "About Me"... then the page closed on me. v.v
