    Today I Am A Man

    For the first time in my life, I shaved, thus completing my long journey into manhood.
     
    To commemorate the event, I will kill a moose with my bare hands and use it's antlers to chop down a tree every year, as many Canadian men do.

    I was kind of freaking out when I saw these next to my name. I suddenly wondered what I had done wrong and was frantically looking through my post and topic history to see what I had done wrong on the day I was given the points.
     
    Fortunately, thanks to BZP's search bar (which I encourage people to use since it is very handy), I went to the BZP Q&A forum, searched "warning points", and found my answer.
     
    I still think it's kind of silly to have positive warning points.

    UKAY GUNNA CUT SOMEBODY!
     
    But ya, the xbox, 3 controllers, and 26 games were all taken, along a $500 tv in my sister's room, my brother's ipod, $70 of freezer meat, and $270 of my own money, among other things (lots of jewelry as well). The worst part is if I had left that money in my room along with my other piles of money he wouldn't of taken it since he didn't even touch my room. He must of looked at the floor covered in Bionicle sets, and been like, "lol, kid's room" and left, even though my wallet was within reaching distance of the door, and in plain site. Also, I really don't see why he took time to take meat from the freezer, but somehow missed two very expensive laptops in plain sight with their chargers.
     
    So ya, that sucks. On the bright side, even though we're renting, we got home insurance, so we can replace everything (except for saved game files. Looks like I'll be playing Mass Effect 1 and 2 all over again. Hopefully I'll finish them both completely before March. And now that I have no xbox, I have a very strong urge to return to comic making.

    Camping Swag

    I bought four things while I was camping, all of them really cool, especially the last one.
     
    1. Bionicle graphic novel #8. The first two stories and art were amazing. The third one was good two, and you get to see the element lords, but I still hate his art style. The art was best in the first story, and my favorite story was the one with Malum. It gave him so much character, and my opinion of him is much higher now. But the first two stories make me sad since now we'll never see baterra or a green rock steed as real sets. ;__;
     
    2. Hero factory sets. Jimi and Meltdown. And I had no idea that these two were paired against each other on the back of the boxes. I was debating whether to buy him or Xplode, but the dciding facotr was when I saw the side view of Meltdown's face. I had thought it was just round, but to my delight has 3 points. And it frusturates me to no end the stupid gun arm on Jimi. If they had fiddled around with the mold, they could've easily put it on another arm. Then I could have two black hands. Also, his helmet is still the coolest.
     
    3. Halo Reach t-shirt. This is my favorite item that I purchased. It's so amaaaazing. The only bad thing about it is that I can't wear it all the time. Stupid body odor.

    Portal 2 was supposed to be released some time in December.
     
    Unfortunately it was delayed until February.
     
    Now it's delayed til April the 18th.

    Valve has this to say on the matter: "the shortest delay in Valve's proud tradition of delays" but tries to cheer us up with this: "It represents the approaching convergence of Valve Time and Real Time. Though this convergence spells doom for humanity, it will not affect the new Portal 2 release date."
     
    Also, if I was able to post a video of my reaction, imagine something like when Michael reacts to Toby coming back.

    The Witchking and fellbeast look amazing and I will definitely be getting them. The balrog is great, but something is wrong with it's face. The eyes are too close to the mouth and it has no nostrils. It just doesn't look right to me.
     
    Also, just got a job at McDonalds. I know it's just McDonalds, but at least I finally got a job (that isn't chicken catching).

    - I just saw Battle: Los Angeles. Quite a good movie. Not better than District 9, but still a good movie.
    - Portal 2 comes out this month!
    - It's my yearly anniversary!

    Video Game Awards

    NEW GAMES:
     
    Arkham City: 5 times the size of the first game? Wow. I cannot wait.
     
    Skyrim: New Elder Scroll Game? Dragons? Yes please.
     
    Thor: Definitely looks better than the other games Marvel has spit out (Other than Spider-man 2 of course), but I'm not too excited for this.
     
    Mass Effect 3: Knew this was their next game. But still. ASDF REAPER EARTH INVASION
     
    Resistance 3: No PS3. Do not care. I have to admit that the viral campaign that fooled the news was cool though.
     
    Prototype 2: Never played the first game, so can't say I care about the second. Trailer wasn't all that great.
     
    Insane: I like Del Toro's movies, so this should be interesting. Hardly anything was revealed about the game though. And 2013? Really?
     
    Portal 2: Wait, this isn't new. It's just a bit more of a a quarter of the multiplayer trailer. Better than nothing I guess.
     
    Forza motorsport 4: Do not care, racing games are lame.
     
    SSX: Deadly Descents: Really? It looked like some awesome game, but then it was just some lame snowboarding game.
     
    Uncharted 3: Don't have a PS3
     
    AWARDS:
     
    Best Studio: Glad to see Bioware won. One of the best studios.
     
    Best action adventure game: Haven't played brotherhood yet, but I played AC2 and that was awesome. Heard nothing but good things about brotherhood, so I'm glad it won.
     
    Best shooter: I wanted Halo Reach to win, but knew Black Ops would win. No surprise there.
     
    Best performance by a human male: Meh. Would've rather seen the guy who played John Marston win than Niel Patrick Harris.
     
    Best independent game: Never played any of the games, but I heard Limbo was pretty good. Good for them.
     
    Best Racing game: Do not care. Racing games are lame.
     
    Best RPG: Heck yes Mass Effect 2.
     
    Best soundtrack: Never played DJ hero and I don't plan to.
     
    Best Music game: Rockband's fun, but not nearly as fun as other games.
     
    Most anticipated game for 2011: I wish Portal 2 hadn't won this award. It could've been out this month.
     
    Character of the year: Haven't played Black Ops yet, so no comment.
     
    Game of the Year: Haven't played Red Dead, but again, heard nothing but good things.
     
    Best DLC: Look above.
     
    OTHER:
     
    The cast of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia? Awesome.

    I have a complicated relationship with this store.
     
    I just went there to get two t shirts since it was buy one get half off another. I ended up buying a simple black shirt with the N7 symbol and the red slash. The other shirt I bought wasn't as subtle and had this on it.
     
    Anyway, while they do have some awesome shirts (seriously, most of my favorite shirts are from there), I also feel slightly embarrassed to go into the store. There's the cool comic book and video game t-shirts, but then there's Twilight merchandise covering half the store. And some of the normal t shirts make me facepalm. Ex: A shirt that says "YOUR MOM".
     
    And half the time I go there there's some cool employees who know about whatever shirt I'm buying and I've had a lot of good conversations about video games and stuff like that.
    But the other half of the times I go there there's some 50 year old guy with bright pink hair, goth make up, and piercings everywhere. He then follows me around the store while I try to get away from him, constantly asking if I need help.
     
    Also, they've practically ruined Invader Zim for me.
     
    But hey, I noticed 3 MLP shirts some people would like. They all had the pony with the Rainbow in some shape or form on them and one said "about 20% cooler" or something.

    This is for the few other people that have a blog who read my blog:
     
    It is time to expand my "Dear Static" campaign! This is a shout out to all my fellow bloggers! If Static (AKA Foxy Panda) makes a post in one of your blogs, and it just so happens to have incorrect spelling or grammar (about 98% of the time), you would be so kind as to edit his post to correct his spelling and or grammar.

    I got my L today! Huzzah!
     
    The country road was intense.
     
    Watch out rest of Canada (and Northwest Washington)! Here I come (with a licensed driver)!
     
    Also, I got Duncan Bulk. His torso is awesome but his helmet is only awesome from the side. I hate the look of it from the front.
