  3. IC (The players' role in the war begins):Frena ran along her stream of thick rhythm, the bongo which she held within her hands letting loose the stream. It was an exhilarating feeling to be running, upside-down, twenty bio in the air, all assisted by this wondrous creation. Of course, she wasn't completely enthused about the part where she was killing people... or being attacked. Still, despite her Onu-matoran body, she had the heart of a jolly Le-matoran. Minus the murderous part, of course. Then, as she prepared to fly down from her trail on the wings of an earthen, musical gukko, she received a shock. The burning, rhythmical phoenix of a Ta-matoran slammed into her, completely incinerating her body. The deadly tone from the chimes that caused the sudden immolation rang with the other tunes of the battlefield. She was just another soldier who died in the bloody conflict. The Ta-matoran smiled as he turned his steed, sending out a cone of fire upon which he slid downwards. His phoenix slammed into a Ga-matoran's attack, causing a massive burst of steam. Right before he reached the ground from sliding down his makeshift escape, however, a gigantic maw of water rose from the sands beneath. He was torn apart from the raging water, his final screams muffled by its raging current.Indeed, Ga-Koro seemed to have the upper-hand in this four-way conflict on the black beaches of Ta-Wahi. An expeditionary force of the Dissonance had been ambushed by these three supposedly allied factions. However, when stray attacks flew, all Karzahni broke loose. The Dissonace force, originally numbering roughly thirty, was weakened only by half of their number. The ambushing Tribes had caused massive destruction amongst themselves, easily halving their own group of roughly one hundred total. In essence, the ambushed were quickly becoming the winners in the struggle.Or so it seemed. Then, amongst the chaos, the three leaders of the Tribal party rose together, calming the raging battle. Each took control of his own forces, their expertise proving in their ability to stop almost fifty raging fighters."Dude, this ain't cool. Look how many y'all've killed, man," spoke the Toa of fire, Falain. He reclined on a blazing sofa, seemingly unconcerned about being attacked."Yeah, well, this isn't only-just the mess-fault of my matoran-soldiers, fire spitter," responded Letrin, who happened to personally be there. As he said this, he loosened the massive cord of aerial rhythm that emanated from his didgeridoo. Forty matoran, Toa, and Turaga formerly wrapped in it fell to the ground with a thud, many dead. He smirked at the sound of crunching bones."Kill them... all of them... hehe... blood," muttered the gigantic mass of a water toa. Her armor, weighing hundreds of pounds, seemed to be no hindrance as she dropped the remaining soldiers of their army, which were most definitely crushed to death by her hulking limbs. "Why can't Weim kill them all?""Dude, Weim, kill all those Dissonance guys if you want. Their problem for not liking our musical talent, man," responded Falain, flicking a cigarette-like tube away. He kept tapping the keys of his xylophone to rhythmically sway his lounge. "Don't like killing myself, but whatever. If I try to save them you two will just kill me. Probably. I dunno, man."Weim glanced at Letrin and, seeing his malicious grin, smiled herself. Her mask of growth glowed as she raised her fist. Already the size of a toa, it rapidly grew to greater and greater proportions. Then, unexpectedly, she gently placed it into the ocean, instead of slamming it onto the Dissonance soldiers. They would see, however, why she did so in a moment. An eerie rhythm played as she rapidly moved her hand back and forth. The water spurted upwards through holes in the now-visible tube, and it responded with its wailing.Suddenly, five of the Dissonance soldiers screamed. Their nine comrades backed away in shock, asking what was happening. It suddenly became quite clear what was happening, however, as their oganic components began to ripple like waves. Then, in an explosion of red, their blood burst from their bodies, quickly mixing with the ocean waves. The other soldiers quickly adjusted their armor, covering any spots."You... you monsters," said one, the expedition leader. With one arm completely missing and a massive gash across his face, the matoran looked like he shouldn't have been standing. "Murdering without a care... Having fun... Urgh... Dang it, do you have any morals anymore?!""Useless," said Letrin, before he placed his mouth upon his instrument. With the low, powerful flow from it, he swirled together a massive battleaxe of energy. One of the Dissonance Toa raised a sword, being a weapons expert. As Letrin swung, the Toa put forth all his mental force into his Kakama. Literally running on air, he burst forward with unprecedented speed. A clash sounded through the air, and the axe split in half. The blur of the Toa ran straight towards Letrin, swinging to decapitate the murderous toa. Then, in a flash of green, he was split in twain by the sudden reformation of the axe, his sword shattered. Without even a flinch Letrin pulled the axe back into the air. Then, grinning as he blew into his instrument, he swung it down upon the group. The remaining eight of the Dissonance, however, weren't ready to die hopelessly. The remaining eight were elite, ready to fight to the death even against three of the most powerful members of the Tribes of Rhythm. The axe burst into shards of music, which were silenced and absorbed by a glowing toa of air. A skinny, bent Turaga of ice pulled his fist down, having not even flinched as he blocked the axe his his specially equipped arm. He solemnly stood in a stance, both padded fists ready.Five other matoran were left aside from Nist, the leader. Three were almost comically covered in a massive amount of armor and padding. However, their vengeful ears glowed in the shadows of their hoods. These three charged directly for Weim, plowing through the watery darts sent at them. The Toa, the Turaga, and one of the remaining two Matoran turned to Falain. Sighing, the Toa of fire raised one palm, filling it with fire. He began to rapidly play his instrument of choice, sending fiery sparrows from the globe of flames. The Turaga, almost too fast for the eye, caught each one at a time in his palms and slammed it to the ground. The Matoran, holding a strange cube, stood there. The sound seemed to completely die when he brought the cube near. Then, once the energy was pure fire, the toa of air absorbed it.Finally, the two remaining Matoran, Nist and one of stone, turned to Letrin. Each brandished a staff, which looked pathetic against the powerful energy streaming from the tube-like instrument. Yet, as each attack came from the Toa, it was deflected right back at him. The two advance toward him, spinning the specially-shaped staffs fast enough to literally rise into the air toward their opponent. With a massive explosion, a gigantic, pulsing drill erupted from the ground. The people of Onu-Wahi poured out, obviously sent as reinforcements. However, it wasn't just beings of earth that appeared. It seemed that some of every tribe had come to the aid of the ambush force. Apparently the failure of it was reported by a fast-moving Onu-Matoran.From the the volcanic rocks further in the land came the echoing cries of a charging military. The army from which the expeditionary force was sent had arrived.

  6. I've giving him a bit of help. But final approval is going to wait until the opening post is made!-Shyyrn
  7. I thought the Tribes of Rhythm were allied (at least partially) to better fight the Dissonance?Ehh... ToD is a little ambiguous on that. There is a council that tries to negotiate peace, but any alliances seem tenuous, at best.I think you and Teezy's character can still have their band, however; I think it's something the rest of us would definitely want to see. You could say it's a sort of 'truce' activity between your two Koros!-Shyyrn
  8. Since we're on Mata Nui, we're probably at 2001 level in terms of tech. Things like vacuums and padding are probably low-tech or element-powered, rather than technology-powered.-ShyyrnEDIT: Also, Legolover... the Tribes of Rhythm aren't aligned with each other. You might want to change your faction to 'Ta-Koro.'
  9. Po-Koro, since they have jurisdiction of stringed instruments.-Shyyrn
  10. So many neutral characters... there are literally no characters in three of the six factions! :lol:ToD, remember to change the topic info, so Le-Koro has wind instruments and Po-Koro has stringed!-Shyyrn
  11. EDIT: As I am now co-GM, my characters are deactivated.-Shyyrn
  12. And may the next three months see good playing. -Shyyrn
  13. 15 minutes. Any last minute votes... get 'em in now.-Shyyrn
  14. I read somewhere that the bassoonists in every orchestra are paranoid that someone is trying to kill them. Will yours conform to type? -Shyyrn
  15. Ah, another one of your 'if there's a limit, push it' instances. :PWell, expect a cellist from me once you lay the groundwork!-Shyyrn
  16. But how?? None of the tribes can use string instruments. :/-Shyyrn
  17. In another poll, alas, you may have had my support. But in a field so strong, I have had to draw my loyalties along other lines. :PFare well,Shyyrn
  18. 1. Rust2. City of the Dead3. Beat and RhythmHowever, I would be willing to play any of the eight games should they win--a genuinely good crop this season! -Shyyrn
  19. Well, the prelims are decided... we are in the final stretch.Good luck, everyone!-Shyyrn
