  1. I will contribute one thing to this discussion:Many posters thus far have stated that they believe the next generation is bad because they see children who pick fights, bother others, and listen to loud pop/rap music."Where are the good kids, the shy kids, kids that are they way I was when I was growing up?" they ask.Answer: You don't notice them; they're shy! They're trying to remain as inconspicuous as possible. :PI was shy when I was younger, and except in the classroom (where I was a pretty good student) I generally wasn't noticed by adults. If I was somewhere with my parents and there was another kid near by kicking up a ruckus, of course bystanders would remember him over me, sitting quietly in my chair! So for those of you who feel there are no good kids anymore, take heart. They will reveal themselves in due time, when they (like I did) finally pick up some social skills and become ready to take on the world. -ShyyrnP.S.: I know this comment is somewhat out of place in this discussion, which is delving very heavily into science and academia, but bear with me. Thank you.

  4. I was bored, so I trawled the video site and found your "BIONICLE: The Game" walkthrough... interesting stuff. You panicked. A lot. :P

  7. ...Mata Nui, this game moves too fast. XP I know about the blackout. What other parts of the situation are there?-Shyyrn
  8. Understood.Forcyte has been hunting the Ghost Program the entire time. However, expect him to pop out in the outside world... unexpectedly. :PGood luck with your classes!-Shyyrn
  9. Are there only three, now? This is quite a surprise....Um, if someone could please give me a brief summary of events that have happened in the past couple of days, I would really appreciate it. XPBusy with school but still determined to honor his commitments,Shyyrn
  10. OOC: Sorry, I'll do that next time. -Shyyrn
  11. OOC: Skarloth, we had it so that Fulok arrived at the S&D Library and was sitting in at the meeting. Also, KNI: conflict between the Techna?! Ohhhhhhhhhh, snap. :PIC (S&D):Forcyte inhaled and exhaled slowly. "...Well, that's your problem, isn't it? You are the one who wants to crush the Hackers, after all."The Toa of Data stood up. "I personally would like to return to hunting the Ghost Program... my projections suggest that if it goes unchecked, it will do us more harm that any biomechanical being could possibly cause. I know where my priorities are, and I now rather think I know yours. Good day."Forcyte made his way to the library's exit...OOC: Any parting retorts?-Shyyrn
  12. IC (S&D):"It will work... eventually. If it works at all," Forcyte said, frowning in concentration."It's a very circumspect way to try and track these criminals, and I rather think it makes some unfounded assumptions of the Hackers.""'Unfounded assumptions'? Look who's talking," said Matra, quirking a half-smile.Forcyte's eyes locked on the cyborg's. "My assumptions are based on observations and data. But these... with all due respect, these are based on speculation.""You insist the Hackers are displaying coordination." Forcyte's grin became mocking. "Hardly the case. Look at their actions. Individual viruses that barely scrape the Firewall before being burned to crisps. A few isolated acts of physical violence that, amazingly, harm next to no one. As I recall, the actual assassination attempt on that CEO was carried out by a bounty hunter; I gathered as much from the grade of his weaponry, suited more to a professional killer than wannabe cyberwarrior.""True, occasionally those Hackers will do something particularly devastating; the death of Ion still haunts us all, I'm sure. But attacks of that magnitude are incredibly rare. As such, I feel there is no coordination. If you really wish to deal a blow, we should start going after high-ranking individuals, say... our erstwhile brother."-Shyyrn
  13. It is now 667. Spiritual crisis averted. Order the pea soup to stand down and return to its barracks, and help itself to 3 days' leave.-Shyyrn
  14. IC (S&D):Forcyte blinked, for once taken by surprise. "A computer specialist, hired as a historian, who doubles as his own data-gatherer and projectionist. Fascinating."He turned to look at the projection, eyes furrowed in concentration...OOC: I have nothing either; extrapolating "Takadox is amassing a droid army" from Matra's evidence tired me out. -Shyyrn
  15. IC (S&D Library):Before KNI's postFulok entered the library. Thus, the meeting began.AfterForcyte had looked at each piece of evidence with keen eyes. When Matra turned to him and asked him for his opinions, Forcyte nodded-and stiffened.Matra, Awk, Fulok, and Torch froze in surprise. It was as if Forcyte had suddenly become petrified. His eyes stared blankly; he didn't move a muscle. Then, almost like a computer readout, words tumbled from Forcyte's mouth:"File #9258607: the subject displays incredible megalomania, a conviction that he and he alone has the capacity to rule the universe and control others... This is coupled with great reticence to share opinions and thoughts with others. He views the world strictly in terms of masters and servants--never equals, even when he claims to have them."At this, Forcyte's eyes snapped back into focus. As if awakening from a dream, he turned to look at his fellows, and chuckled at their expressions."What? I was merely accessing my databanks.""Well? What was all that?" Matra asked."That was Takadox's psychological profile, gathered approximately 170,000 years ago while he was a prisoner in the original Pit. It gives me a good idea about what he was like as a being--and, believe it or not, corroborates many of your own findings, Matrapolix.""Our starship has been on its voyage for many thousands of years. Any beings aboard with criminal tendencies would have long grown impatient and struck out--which indeed they have, as evidenced by our city's small crime and the Hacker movement."(At this, Awk stiffened. No one noticed.)"Anyone who would wait this long to start beginning criminal activities would have to have an incredible amount of inborn patience--or had it forcibly ingrained in them by, say, a millennia-long stay in a prison."Forcyte turned to look directly at Matra. "The method of thievery in the CKC indeed links to him, as does his theft of the bomb. As I recall, the bomb that was stolen was one that would only do moderate damage, but would emit caustic smoke--perfect for spreading panic and fear to shield a more insidious purpose.""But the droid..." Forcyte paused a moment to ponder, his chin resting in his hand. "I'm afraid that droid was not stolen for his information. Takadox was a being used to leading armies--even when he was forced to do without one, such as when he was on the run from the Order of Mata Nui, he longed to be in control of one. He would always make an army out of what was available to him--criminals as part of the original League, sea creatures when he was in the ocean... In such a place as the Techna Nui, rich in robots..."I suspect he wishes to make... a robot army."OOC: Hope this isn't too dense a read. X)-Shyyrn
  16. OOC: Very good, Dark Chronicler. I approve. :lol:IC (S&D):"He's here," Forcyte suddenly announced. Matra and Awk both turned to look as Torch walked into the building."Perhaps now Matra could explain his little quest," Forcyte said, turning to face his cyborg colleague. "I'm sure we would all like to know."-Shyyrn
  17. Dark Chronicler, be advised that if you insist on calling the location Little Shop of Horrors, I am expecting a talking carnivorous plant, a dentist on a motorbike, and a 3-woman chorus. -Shyyrn
  18. OOC: Ooooh, nice job tying all of our posts together! Props to you. :DIC (S&D Library):Forcyte cocked his head to the side as additional messages came to him."We'll have to wait a moment; Torch wants all the Techna here. Apparently your little mission is important enough to warrant all of our presences here."-Shyyrn
  19. IC (S&D Library):Forcyte and Awk strode in just as Matra finished his message to Torch."We're here. How shall we start?"-ShyyrnOOC: Nice "Sherlock Holmes" quote.
  20. IC (en route to S&D Library):Forcyte's text implant activated as he and Awk walked the streets. He answered in audio."Forcyte is here and present, Torch. Having fun in the chutes?"Torch: ...How did you know I was in the chutes?"Your text uploads as fast as you think it. You're uploading it at a speed that suggests exhilaration. This suggests either combat or recreational exercise, and you wouldn't send such a banal message in the middle of a fight.""I am currently collaborating with Matra on one of his little projects... something concerning a criminal he thinks is loose on the ship. Nothing too alarming. I am currently planning to rendeznous with him in the S&D Library."-Shyyrn
  21. I vote widgets! Just to make sure we don't stray too far from BIONICLE on our massive spaceship. -Shyyrn
  22. IC (CKC):"Impressive," said a voice behind Awk. Startled, the Toa whirled. He found himself staring into a pair of lime-green eyes, behind which...Awk drew back in awe and a bit of horror. The conventional expression was, "seeing the gears turning in his head."But behind Forcyte's eyes were no gears. What resided there moved at lightning speed, leaping from datapoint to datapoint as the legendary Toa Mata Lewa leaped between branches.Forcyte's mouth pulled into a tight grin. "I have been... following your work, Awk. Your configurations for our firewalls are exemplary. You could be promoted soon.""T-thank you, sir," Awk managed to say, through his nervousness-constricted throat.Forcyte's grin broadened, though Awk noticed it didn't extend to his eyes, which stayed as sharp and piercing as a viper's. "However, a more important task awaits you. You are to accompany me to the S&D Library. There is an important mission in the works, and the Toa Techna need someone of your expertise to manage the computers as we... search."OOC: Your cover is not blown, Kovolta. You're safe for now.-Shyyrn
  23. Some clarification: the Toa Techna have left the site of the assassination attempt. Matrapolix is taking a capture Hacker to the prisons, while Forcyte has gone to the S&D Library to look up some important data.-Shyyrn
