  1. For a little project of mine, partially related to the Bohrok-Kal's Ramblings*, I present a guide on how to spot Zombie Toa and other similar beings. I've got lots of pictures in this style and am unsure whether I should post it all in one thread or not. *TBKR is the only thing I have to my name these days. Ph(s)D and most of the other stuff I've done on BZP is no more than dust now.
  2. I thought you'd posted in the wrong thread for a moment. I think being inside the giant dead robot body doesn't that people would suffocate or die or anything. In fact, apart from it being a bit chilly, it's probably perfectly habitable, if a bit chilly deeper down inside the robot. I thought the issue would be the seas of water/protodermis that slosh around inside him, which may or may not leak out and possibly flood the place.
  3. There are too many useful pieces to mention, but hard to use pieces are much easier to name. None are useless, but the following are quite hard to work well into an MOC -the pieces used to hold rubber bands -Toa Inika heads -Rahkshi spines, which can only really be used in Rahkshi backs -Kanoka discs
  4. It's alright. I'm also doing other things like a tumblr blog now, complete with art.
  5. I love the MNOG art but I've never been able to replicate it, so instead I have this strange, simplified version. It's not to everyone's tastes, sure, but I'm not really good enough to make it just like MNOG, it ends up looking weird. And no, Brutaka gave him the lollipop.
  6. I don't do daily chapters any more. It takes longer to write and format these new chapters because there's a real plot now. Also, I have work.
  7. THAT TONGUE. The tongue really makes this. It'd be nothing without the tongue. Or the eyes.
  8. No inspiration really. I didn't know what to do with his other hand so I threw in a lollipop, the forbidden sweet. I drew Axonn for my new tumblr blog, since I just drew an Olmak too.
  9. I LOOOOOOVED LEGO Star Wars 2. Unfortunately my save corrupted when I hit 99%. I had 100% on LEGO Star Wars 1 though. LEGO Batman was fun but several glitches stopped me from completing the game. I thought the villains were cooler than the good guys though.
  10. I picked up The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim again. Having completed all the guilds and having been majorly annoyed with the Companions, I installed a mod that lets me turn into a dragon so I can kill everyone with style.
  11. Axonn and a lollipop, like the title promised.
  12. The portal closed behind Kohrak, making a small squeaking noise that only he could hear. Glancing around, he realised that none of this was what he expected. His brothers seemed equally confused. "Pahrak, this doesn't seem like a city!" Nuhvok pointed out. "We noticed, Obvious-Kal..." Tahnok tutted. "Something must have happened. Maybe we're at the wrong time or something?" Pahrak wasn't listening. He was looking at the remains of a street sign. The sign said "Blackflan Road" but it was lying on the ground, being of no use to anyone. The street and a good couple of kilometers in every direction was nothing more than tatters and rubble, apart from a single, lone ice cream cart. That was it. Lehvak had wandered over to take a look, but came back holding his tongue. "Out of date." Suddenly, something exploded. Everyone glanced at Lehvak but realized he hadn't done anything yet. It was coming from one of the houses that still had a door but little else. Gahlok and Pahrak skipped over, curious. What was left was the door frame. The door was actually on the ground. The foundations were still partially there but that was it. The number on the door frame, just above the remains of the doorbell, read "75". Lying on the ground just inside were two vaguely familiar creatures. "Veekay!" Pahrak beamed. "You're alive!" The look on Veekay's face wasn't as bright and shiny as Pahrak's. "Um, what are you doing here? I thought you guys lived in that Bionicle place." "We do! What happened here?" The other creature sat up looking fairly annoyed. "You told me we'd be alone here." "There's normally not a single soul here. It's been nothing more than rubble for years!" Pahrak scratched his head. So did the other Bohrok. "This is your house?" Lehvak squeaked. "Used to be. The Rethavok attacked the city in 2003 and reduced most of it to rubble. I like to come back and sit and sulk occasionally. Good place to be alone..." Veekay sniffed as he spoke. The disaster still clearly upset him. "Good place to bring a girlfriend too, methinks!" Nuhvok grinned. Then he realized that no one else was grinning so he stopped. Veekay sighed and introduced his friend. "This is Envee. He's one of the V-Class Ksa from Thre-Vretania. We've been, um, friends for a while. What are you Bohrok doing here? And why is Kohrak holding that shiny mask thing?" Kohrak coughed, ready to explain, but Pahrak jumped in. "We're looking for help to stop a Toa zombie apocalypse! But we don't have a lot of non-infected super beings left so Brutaka gave us this cool mask of inter-dimensional travel and now we're jumping around the multiverse asking people!" Veekay blinked with confusion. Envee was equally confused. "So why us?" Envee asked. "You have elemental powers..." Kohrak sighed. "Plus, it was the first place we thought of. You mentioned you had a team of fellow elementally powered... Threavok? Is that right?" "Everyone has elemental powers now. Apart from my brother. But I'm not the right person to speak to about this. Do you want us to take you to the capital to speak to the Thre-Dre?" At least Veekay was being helpful, Kohrak noted. "I thought you were ruled by other Threavok Ksa?" Pahrak asked. "Oh, no, we had a bit of a revolution back in November. We have a proper democracy now!" Veekay smiled. "Means I have a lot more free time! Envee, got enough juice to teleport us all?" Envee pulled a carton of juice out of his backpack. He inspected it before taking a sip. "Yep. Everyone hold hands and we'll be on our way..." Kohrak was about to suggest using the Olmak to get there, but that squeak he heard earlier had unnerved him a bit. As everyone held hands, Envee counted to ten then growled. Suddenly, they were in what looked like an actual city, standing in front of a large building. Above the entrance was a large sign. "Welcome to the Dre Council Building."
  13. I may have to grab myself some mini-figure hands then. Maybe the tail could have just been shorter. My very small collection of mostly broken pieces and I aren't of much help in that aspect.
  14. He's really cute, really simple and I really like him.

    The Ashes

Welp, that was completely different. I think I need to go and read The Fire Chronicles or something, as that didn't make much sense at all. It started off fairly dark and then suddenly Ignis is signing up to be a Toa, with an insane task of watching something I've not heard of. Maybe I need to get out from underneath my rock.
  16. Silk is actually incredibly strong, stronger than iron at the same thickness while being lighter. Use enough of it and you probably could dam a river or cut off sunlight or whatnot.
  17. To be fair, some of my Bohrok-Kal pieces have broken, but compared to other sets which I have lots of *coughToaNuvaToaMetruBarakicough*, they're far better. Pretty much all my sockets though have suffered this fate. Even newer HF pieces, I've got quite a few broken ones. I am STUPIDLY careful with my parts, so it can't be negligence, I don't know what it is that makes SO MANY of my parts snap and break. Oh yay, 4200th post.
  18. Can I just say, kudos to those silver Bohrok-Kal hand pieces. They're my oldest pieces yet they're also the least broken and suffered the least from loss of friction. I've found though that not only do the ball joint thingies break, but the top of the cross socket thing also has a nasty habit of snapping off. About 70% of all my hand parts have suffered from this, greatly reducing my MOC skills.
  19. Big improvement on the previous one, well done. The tail looks awesome and he looks far less flat than before. I think he looks better in scorpion form rather than on 2 legs though, as he looks a little bit unsteady when not on all legs.
  20. Oooh, he's nice. How did you do those eyes? Shame he's got a lump half-way down the tail.
  21. Congratulations! Hope we don't drive you insane.
  22. You're welcome. I actually really like the saddle. I don't know why. Maybe it's just my love for those blue 'Bohrok eyes'.
  23. I think the Toa Nuva are just holding back. They were trained to be Toa, but they were never trained to use Nuva levels of power. That coupled with facing unknown enemies, Rahkshi, Skakdi and Makuta, all vastly intelligent compared to Rahi, Visorak and Bohrok swarms and the Toa law of not killing, it means we've never seen them let loose and show off the full spectrum of their powers.
  24. As much as I love the old-school 2001 feeling, and Toa Kotraka seems like an interesting character, I'm really beginning to fret that this feels too much like a rehash rather than its own story. Kotraka's introduction brought us into new terrain, only for Akata's introduction to send us flying back into familiar territory.
  25. Most of my pieces are broken now. I think it's because of the hot, humid, dusty weather here, but I am certain that pieces from 2006 and later break more than before then. My Tahnok-Kal celebrates his 11th birthday this August and a lot of his parts have had to be replaced, but the same applies to my Tahu Stars, which I can no longer even build because all but one of his limbs snapped, one of his hands snapped and his head snapped. The only remaining pieces I have are his body, mask, sword and feet.
