  1. IC: Mord, Rolned, Cedil, Tirzan"Well, good luck you guys," Cedil said. "I gotta head out. Some business in Ko-Wahi with some Kumu Islet Toa.""Good luck to you too," Rolned replied. "Those guys can be impossible."OOC: Cedil to Ko-Koro.IC: Rolned turned to the remainder of his team. "All right," he said. "We have a full fix on Tirzan. He just ran through Po-Koro and is hiding in the desert to the north. He has himself cornered. We go in and make him regret his decisions."Mord nodded, loading his disk launcher. They went through a day's hard walking and rested in an inn in Po-Koro before setting out the next day for their target. Heavy Skakdi resistance barred their way, but not for long.Rolned smirked, looking at their handiwork. But Tirzan was nowhere to be found.Tirzan was flying high over the coast on a Gukko provided by his comrades. He would watch the show, then depart to his safehouse in Ko-Wahi. He gave the signal...It was a hard-fought battle and for now, they had to retreat. Mord dragged a comrade to the Gukkos, but he heard a rumbling. Little did the 30000 Toa know that underneath them was a large cavern that had been dug-out just for this occasion. Now, the support pillars had been knocked down. The team plunged into the ground, a mountain of sand piling onto them.Tirzan laughed as he flew away from the scene.OOC: Tirzan to Ko-Koro.IC: Rolned struggled for air, gripping his throat and trying to claw his way to the surface. But he could hardly move as it was. He suffocated and died.Mord, however was near the surface. He dragged his body out of the sand. He had been utterly crushed from the chest down. For a minute he crawled, hearing the voice of his daughter."Daddy! Get up, Daddy!"But he couldn't. He slumped over, looking at the sun. But it wasn't the sun... Everything suddenly faded to white.OOC: Lt. Rolned Vasquez and Sgt. Mord Jackson KIA.
  2. IC: Solaris"Uh, how do I get into the vaults?" Solaris asked, examining an impenetrable door while reaching for the statue he had purloined earlier... fun word, that.
  3. IC: SolarisSolaris nodded and thought about it for a second."No," he finally answered. "I'm not a big fan of pain, but honor and pride are a little more important."He shivered, thinking of all the times a white-hot metal rod had been placed on his forearm. He didn't crack then... who was to say what would happen now?
  4. I wrote something on the 3rd of July, now I'm writing something on the 5th of July. Can't you just smell the patriotism?

  5. IC: SolarisThat kept Solaris's mind at ease for a bit."Well, I've lived here as far back as I can remember," he said. "I remember waking up on a beach with a bunch of other Matoran, but I guess that's how we were... born, I guess. When I got accustomed to my surroundings, I build myself a hut here in Ta-Koro, then I built a bar. For a time, I was the talk of the town, but when the Rahi started acting up, the bar was destroyed and everyone inside was killed... except for me. I was knighted for 'bravery in the face of evil,' but I didn't believe that. With no bar and no way to put my life back together, I started stealing things. I stole a Toa stone and became this, but I didn't stop there. I was caught a lot early in my career, so I don't have a problem with jail, but now I'm good enough that I'll only be caught by someone who just walks out of the blue after I laid a distraction, AHEM... but, yeah, that's my life in a nutshell. You have any allergies? Don't answer that."He relaxed for a moment, trying hard not to glance at the Vortixx."You get all that?" Solaris asked. "Need any further explanations on anything? Questions, confusions, delusions?"
  6. Name: Corporal Solaris Ryken (Codename: Mage)Gender: MaleSpecies: ToaFaction: ProtectorateKanohi: CalixElement: LightningAppearance: Slightly taller than average with gold armor that fits to his muscular form and piercing blue eyes.Powers: Can control his elemental energy of Lightning, Electricity, what have you.Abilities: He is a master thief, getting caught only when he wants to and is also a rather good swordsman.Weapons: A witty rapier and a rapier wit.Other Equipment: He usually carries around a Xian pistol he pickpocketed some time back. It has no ammo and he mostly uses it as a bluff besides being a trophy. He also has a lockpicking kit and a pair of aviator sunglasses.Personality: He is generally quiet, but a friendly person on the inside. He will stand and fight when he has to, but would always rather run, screaming like a Ga-Matoran most of the time.History: Solaris was a pickpocket Matoran on the streets of Metru Nui. He was sad, lonely, and just wanted a hug but couldn't get one. He was captured by Vakhi so many times, but got off without charges because of... connections. One night at his favorite bar in Ta-Metru, he performed an insane act: trying to impress a girl in front of his friends, he told her that in the morning he would be shipping out to join the Metru Nui Marine Corps. In a drunken act to prove his worth, he actually signed up and shipped out. In the morning, he regretted his decision, but decided to live with it because hey, free military training. For years he excelled at what he did, impressing his superiors. When the time came for war, though, his squad was utterly unprepared. His commanding officer and two others were killed in the initial Dark Hunter invasion. But now the island needed more protectors to take back their home. Solaris was given a Toa stone, although he felt he didn't deserve it. He became a Toa, but didn't know how to handle the fight, having never fought in an actual war.Notes: Doesn't seem to understand the concept of celebrity.Name: Alia Sevalis (Codename: Mist)Gender: FemaleSpecies: ToaFaction: Dark HuntersKanohi: Mask of Sensory AptitudeElement: WaterAppearance: By most standards, she is very pretty. She wears light armor of a deep, shiny blue that clings to her slim frame. The plates are laced with silver and her eyes are a deep sea green.Powers: She is a Toa of Water who can control currents and shoot jets of water and whatnot.Abilities: She is a superb archer and is rather masterful at flirting.Weapons: A bow and arrows.Other Equipment: She also possesses a set of torches and a fire-starting kit.Personality: She is rather flirty and talkative, but does settle down to listen when she can. She is friendly to those she cares about and cold and distant to any enemies.History: For years, Alia lived on Metru Nui, not feeling satisfied with her life. No one seemed to care that she existed. So, she ran away to the island of Odina to join the Dark Hunters. They gladly accepted someone who knew much about Metru Nui. For some time, she gave away any information she had about her former home and trained to become a great archer. She felt some guilt when the announcement came that they were taking Metru Nui once and for all, but she waved it off. Now, she's fighting against her emotions and to survive.
  7. IC: Bofor, Alia, Team Winged DaggerAlia strolled through the tunnel from Le-Wahi, looking for her boss. When she got to town, she heard his rowdy voice in a nearby bar. She walked in, some of the patrons staring at her."My good friend, have you got the money?" Bofor asked his employee.Alia nodded."Then have a drink!" the Vortixx exclaimed. "I'm buying."Pordal walked through the tunnel into the vast cavern of Onu-Koro."The safehouse is right around the corner," Yerith said, leading their informant through the streets. Once he was safe, the team went off again."Where to, now?" Gaz asked."We'll find something to do," the Captain answered.Pordal nodded. With their new disk launchers in hand, they strode out to Ko-Wahi, the center of the Vortixx's plot.OOC: Team Winged Dagger to Ko-Koro.
  8. IC: Team Winged DaggerPordal crawled over the hill and was faced with a small farm. He signaled for the rest of the team to follow. They peered through the underbrush, looking at an old Turaga being interrogated by a few Vortixx."Top them before they kill the old man," Yerith whispered.Pordal aimed straight at the Vortixx's head as he pulled out a Zamor launcher and pointed it at the Turaga. He unleashed a burst of flame, effectively killing that Vortixx. Then he ran into the fray with his knife and slit a few throats as Gaz and Yerith stayed to support him in the underbrush."Not exactly quiet," Gaz said. "But the Turaga's safe."Indeed, he had fled into his hut when he saw the fire."We need to keep moving," Yerith warned. "We have a spare Gukko that will take us to the safehouse in Onu-Koro waiting for us somewhere to the southwest of here."It was a few hours of hard hiking with a few hotspots of Vortixx activity, but they got through generally unharmed. Pordal was glad to see the Gukko that would take them to safety. He climbed on to the saddle and helped up Nik-Kohlii as the officers came up."See, Soap," Gaz said, sitting back. "This is what happens when you have an officer who thinks of everything."Pordal smiled as they flew off into the night.OOC: Team Winged Dagger to Onu-Koro
  9. IC: AliaAlia waved goodbye and flew off to the south. She needed to get back to her boss before he freaked out. Then she remembered him saying something about Onu-Koro. She turned in a more northern direction until she found the tunnel. She landed and entered.OOC: Alia to Onu-Koro.
  10. IC: SolarisSolaris looked at the rows of vaults before him. Impressive...... and there were the Vortixx. He had a few brushes with a rather dangerous Vortixx in the past, but no need to think that they knew each other. Mata Nui, he hated being paranoid."I'm not worried about biting," Solaris said, scoffing. "I'm just worried about if they rip me limb from limb is all."
  11. IC: SolarisSolaris nodded."Well, you hired some good technicians," he commented. "Can't be too safe..."
  12. IC: BoforBofor walked into a pub, satisfied with the day's kill. He met his client in a corner booth and received his payment. Once the client had left, Bofor walked up to the bar and ordered a round of drinks for everyone. Why not share the wealth? This whole island was his office and every angry soul (75% of the inhabitants) were all engaged in some sort of feud, giving Bofor work. They at least deserved rewards for being the most productive island he ever visited. So he drank until he could drink no more.
  13. IC: Team Winged Dagger"Soap, get up," Yerith said, shaking the Toa of Fire.Pordal blinked, waking up. How far had he fallen from the Gukko? It was laying about 10 meters away, dead."Looks like we're gonna have to leg it," Gaz said, closing the Gukko's eyes.Pordal searched himself for his disk launcher, but it seemed that it had been lost in the crash, so he pulled out his combat knife. He would have to use his elemental energy until they got back home."Middle of Ga-Wahi, surrounded by angry Vortixx," Yerith said. "Be quiet, don't get Nik-Kohlii killed, and above all, don't attract attention of any locals."
  14. IC: AliaAlia hovered over the body of water for a minute, looking for a place to land. This Pala-Koro seemed to be right below. She lighted down."Well, here you are," she said, turning to Zyke.
  15. IC: Patriarchs, Mord, Rolned, CedilTirzan bade goodbye to his comrades. The Mata Nui Marine Corps was on to them... well, just Tirzan, anyways, but if they got to him, they would find Quoren and Wal-El, and then it would get bloody. But either way, he ran north.Quoren and Wal-El loaded themselves on to a Gukko bound for Ko-Koro.OOC: Quoren and Wal-El to Ko-Koro."Well, if he's not here, then where is he?" Rolned growled.Staff Sergeant Cedil Griggs ran through the cleared camp, looking for his commanding officer."Lieutenant!" he called out, seeing Rolned. "I got news that Tirzan was giving a speech just a little to the north.""Come on, let's go!" Rolned shouted, signalling his Marines to follow.Mord pulled out his disk launcher and followed the team to the north. Then he heard the zinging sounds of Zamor launchers."Got some resistance," Rolned announced. "Take 'em down."
  16. IC: SolarisSolaris jumped at the wall-opening, but there were stranger things in the world. He stepped down, dragging his hand along the wall by habit."You are one clever little Matoran," he commented, chuckling.
  17. IC: Team Winged DaggerPordal sat in silence with the rest of the team, waiting for when they reached their destination. They had flown far into the Ga-Wahi countryside, taking it slow, wary of any Vortixx that might be on their tail. The Gukko suddenly cawed."What the Karz was that?" Gaz mumbled, looking all around.Yerith turned and looked down."Incoming Zamor sphere," he announced. "Hold on tight."Pordal gripped the saddle, listening to the Gukko's caws as the Zamor sphere hit, stunning the Gukko for a moment before it plunged down to the ground.
  18. IC: SolarisSolaris stepped over to the fireplace. Well, he'd had worse... he stepped in."So... this is nice," he mumbled, standing in the fireplace.
  19. IC: SolarisSolaris blinked. Mud hut... conspicuous? Well, whatever floats your boat, I guess..."I'd love to... come inside and... not very... furnished in here," he mumbled, walking through the door.
  20. IC: Team Winged DaggerPordal and the officers ran through the village, searching for the hut that housed their tortured informant, Codename Nik-Kohlii. In a few minutes, they reached the burning huts."Oh, wonderful," Gaz muttered. "They all look the same to me.""Nik-Kohlii is in Karzahni right now," Yerith said. "We're gonna walk him out. We take care of our friends, Gaz."Pordal nodded in agreement and ran into the furthermost hut. The smoke blurred his vision. He heard voices in the next room, so he activated his Mask of Stealth. He walked into the room and stared at a few Vortixx standing over a shorter, rather beaten Vortixx. He took down the ones standing and Yerith came in to help up their friend."You all right?" the Captain asked."I'm fine," Nik-Kohlii answered. "I can still fight."He proceeded to tell them of the Patriarchs' plans that he learned while in captivity.Yerith nodded, then turned to Pordal."Soap, make sure they don't find those bodies you left behind," he commanded before signalling the Gukko to land.Pordal nodded, turned and let loose a stream of flame from his hands, razing every already alight hut to the ground before climbing on the Gukko with the rest of the team."I really hope no one gets suspicious of a few burning huts," Gaz mumbled. "But, no hut no evidence, no conviction."
  21. IC: BoforBofor the Vortixx lay patiently at wait. His scoped, powerless Nynrah ghost blaster was gripped tightly in his hands as he watched the road. His target had to be coming through the tunnel sometime...There came the clickety-clack of Ussal crab legs, echoing through the cavern. Bofor looked down his scope and saw his target riding his way through the tunnel. Perfect. He launched one projectile, hitting the Matoran square in the forehead. The target fell off the Ussal crab, unconscious. Bofor then came through and removed his mask and ran over the Matoran with the Ussal crab, just to make it look like an accident."I am getting paid tonight," he mumbled happily to himself as he walked back down the road to the city of Onu-Koro.
  22. IC: Team Winged DaggerYerith lit a cigar, staring at the village of Ga-Koro."Something wrong, sir?" Gaz asked, reaching for his disk launcher."You smell that?" Yerith asked, stepping forward.Gaz joined him, taking a sniff. "Kemrof," he answered.Pordal looked over at where they were sniffing. It seemed that a grey-armored Matoran stepped out of a hut, holding a tablet. He carried news that the team's Vortixx informant had been captured and was being held on the other side of the village."Perfect," Yerith muttered, throwing his cigar in the water. "Just perfect."Pordal searched the horizon, looking for where Kemrof had pointed out. There was a plume of smoke rising just a little to the north... some of the huts were on fire."They must know we're here," Gaz stated, pulling out his disk launcher for real this time. "Right then..."
  23. IC: SolarisSolaris understood underground bank schemes and nodded. Then he looked at the hut."Nice, uh... nice place you got here," he said, looking the mud hut up and down.
